Not cheap, but unique and fun. The place has a vintage bar vibe. We have visited on two different Wednesdays for their karaoke with a live band. We have had a great time both times. The band is amazing at backing up random singers, and most of the singers are great/hyper-enthusiastic. The food is out back with a separate vendor, and it was really good, too. Bouncers/doorman are effective, but sweet. The drinks are light for their price IMO ($16 each), but the bartender is cool. Don’t show up early! It doesn’t get rolling until 9:30-10:00 p.m.. and don’t forget to tip the band, as well as all the other folk!

Fun bar. Great music. It only advertises jazz, but the night we were there it was rock. Fun place!

This place is a really fun time on Sunday evening. The show starts at 9:30pm and it goes until about midnight. Good bartenders, taco food truck in the back that’s delicious. Live music and vibes.

I had a great time celebrating my birthday. There was some miscommunication initially with me being overcharged my door fee but the manager and I worked it out. Despite that, I walked into a magical live performance that was a mix of burlesques and jazz. I loved it! I’d def recommend to anyone in the downtown Santa Monica area. Great for social occasions or to spice up a night out on the town. Especially good for tourists wanting something different than your usual bar!

I didn't have any food but the overall music was old school hip-hop and 90s RNB..I definitely loved this place! I will be running. I came on a Sunday, they played missy Elliot!!! I freaked out! It's been a while, where I hear old school hip-hop. Ugh, I loved it. I've been looking for a place. Modern music is everywhere so this was nostalgic for me.

THE BEST MUSIC and SERVICE! I spent New Years Eve, it was packed and the service was still TOP NOTCH! They had a taco truck there from PACO Tacos in the back. It is walking distance from the pier by 4 minutes! The BAND THENOCHASERS WAS OFF THE RAILS! I danced all night, a variety of music PLUS they have tables you can reserve! I will be hosting gathering and parties here moving forward! I have never had more fun! The band THENOCHASERS plays every Tuesday night, plus many weekends. Check out their website! Thank you Damian (the owner) for your kindness and service! Highly recommended!!

Karaoke with live band on Wednesday nights!! Everyone was amazing, the band, the bartender and the atmosphere were pleasant. Tho they don’t serve food, the experience was great! Make sure to buy your tickets online, but they have it in person too.

Live music venue with friendly staff. I only had one night in Santa Monica and this was well worth the experience. Entry cost to purchase a ticket for a band and 2 drinks required. Food truck Paco Taco in the back with great food at a good price. Overall a great time with drinks, music, and dancing.

Fantastic place! We went to see Alligator Beach on Saturday night and had a great time. The music was fantastic and the vibes were great - a nice mix of people who were just there to enjoy the show, dance, and enjoy themselves. Will definitely go back.

This place is great lots of fun, food truck comes in the back, you can bring your own food as well, drinks are great :-)

Harvelle’s is the spot!! The live music they have is what we all need in our lives. The bartenders are friendly and make you want to return. The doorman was my favorite by the end of the night. Only reason I am not giving five stars is because they do not carry Michelob Ultra. After speaking with the manager I was told he has no intention of stocking it in the bar. That being said I would still go back, that’s how much I loved this place.

Went for the Miss Nasty show and it was a superhit. Once in a while go and sit and enjoy! The place is small but a good bar. Right in Santa Monica. One thing bad was that closer to the end of the show people from the road just walked in, felt bad for someone like me who paid for the show! The admin should be more judicious.

We saw Artur Menenez, who is a wonderful guitarist with his band members who all hail from Brazil. All of them were great. There are plenty of options for watching the show. A long wall of padded bench seating with tables flanks one side of the long bar, and taller bar stools are closer to the stage along each wall. There is a small dance area in front of the stage and a few people were here having a good time there. It's overall a chill vibe

We went here on Valentine's night. It's a hole-in-the-wall place but the live music is good. Be prepared to get lit cuz the drinks are strong. It's $10 to get in but come early if you want a seat to see the shows.

Saturday night. The music is fantastic, I love it. There is a cover for the band $10. And if you want to pay with credit card, they require a minimum of 2 beers (20$ aprox). Total minimum $30 USD. They made duplicate charges on my cards, due to a bank issue. I am waiting for them to resolve it. Be careful and pay with only one card.

The drinks are good and the live band is good. Definitely a mixture but not into crowd was not vibing for me. The tacos outside the patio was definitely good and reasonable price.

Double charges and confusing to understand, especially as a foreigner. At the reception, the receptionist said it would be one amount, but when I went to pay, it was much higher, in addition to the 20% tip that was imposed on me, and I didn't have the option to pay less or not. I definitely didn't like it and wouldn't go back.
