The teas were amazing I told him to make me something he would like and he was so sweet to my pregnant wife and me. Thank you to the guy in the camo jacket you made our day ❤️
Great menu: diverse selection but not too much that it overwhelms. They specialize in matcha and they do it so well. I've tried some of their blended drinks, their matcha lattes, and their refreshers. Every single one of them was a hit. The fruit drinks were fresh and didn't seem to be from some artificial powder form. The vanilla cream was AMAZING. Their seasonal lavender honey drinks are a MUST or you are missing out. They typically only have one or two people working so it takes a little while to get your order (but I was also ordering 2-3 drinks at a time; no judgement please). The space is small (only 3 tables) and the music is sometimes a tad bit too loud for the area. Other than that, quality boba place that is worth checking out. Definitely underrated compared to the other boba places in Westwood.
The matcha was as good as I've had! Atmosphere was great and the staff was excellent. I would definitely come back once I'm in the area again. Get the strawberry matcha latte if you like your drink a bit sweeter and the vanilla matcha latte if you want more of a creamy less sweet drink!
The blueberry drink was not too sweet but perfect. Salmon balls were awesome and only $3+. One is filling but i received two. So flavorful. Customer service fantastic! Thank you!
The boba here is so good. I was quite literally having the worst day when I stumbled across this place. I was served by this really nice girl, Nina. Shout out to her for fixing my order and literally being so kind. exceptional customer service hear!!!!!!!!!!
Amazing service, amazing drink recommendations . Nina our barista made our drink super delicious and we had great conversation. I’ll definitely be coming back just for Nina! STOP BY!!
So hot today. Was craving something refreshing and light. Ordered the mango refresher with aloe vera; Adjusted to light sweetness and it was perfect. My partner ordered the Tropical Refresher and it was so good omg… If you’re craving something refreshing, milky, and delicious I recommend . The boba was yum. I thought the space was cute with comfy chairs, but small. At first we thought it was closed…. Lol
The matcha was deliciouuuuuus, so bright, x)! I got the cold foam with the vanilla, normal ice and sweetness. My friend got da normal one with boba, really liked it too. Very fun vibe and so many choices :))))!!!
One of my Westwood favourites! Specializing in matcha, they offer a variety of drinks pairing with it such as their mango or strawberry matchas. They also offer a menu of small snack foods. They have an automated ordering process and small seating area. While it is on the more expensive side, it’s always a solid hit for me.
Stopped by for the bogo matches which were good. It was really really busy because of the special so I waited awhile, friendly service and lots of options, they were out of a lot but again it was slammed so to be expected.
The workers here are so sweet and give helpful recommendations. I love getting drinks from here and the matcha is great!

Very pure matcha but without the powdery or bitter taste. Only regret is having aloe with my match milk drink. The seasonal guava matcha was not my thing either. Note to self is to have the matcha on its own. Small place. Out of ice cream when I'm there unfortunately. Didn't like the store's choice of color scheme but that's doesn't affect the taste!
I was craving for a dessert after dinner and saw this tiny shop on my way. The cafe was very small with only few tight tables inside. I ordered via the tablet but they were ran out of boba. Taro matcha latte: it had good taro flavor but the matcha flavor was weak. I asked for less sweet but it was still too sweet for me (tasted like normal sweetness).
The matcha lattes are on the sweeter side. You can get them with less sweetness but they’re still sweet. Next time I’m getting one without sweetness to give me a better idea on how the matcha quality is. Their rice balls are good. I got three salmon ones. You wrap them with seaweed and they make a good but messy treat. The shop used to be cuter and the vibe was better too. Still it’s worth it to come here.
I've been coming here since they opened -- the boba has been perfect for me every time I go :) So chewy and soft, just the way I like it. Maybe I am just easy to please? I am also not a "matcha expert" so maybe I cant discern the difference... anyway, I've been here MANY times, and only thought once (or maybe twice), that my drink tasted watered down. But other than that, I have always loved how the drinks tasted & gulped it down happily. Perhaps some people are confusing "watered down" with "there is less sugar" aka it doesnt taste as "strong" or sweet, it's just more subtly flavored (but that never bothered me). Less sugar means also its also healthier for you, and usually "healthy" things dont taste good... I even think one of the cashiers told me once that their "regular" amount of sugar they put in the drinks is less than the standard boba place. So for example, if I say I want 50% sweetness at Koala T next door, that's prob going to taste like 75% here? Something like that. ALSO - I have been lucky enough to meet june here (TWICE) and she is so nice!!! :D Got a picture with her the first time, it was probably the best day ever! This place is really cute & i love all the decor. There is a spot to instagram your drinks (of course, not surprising since june is an instagram star)! The only thing is the size, it's so small & narrow, so the customer flow is very awkward... they recently changed where the cashier is, which I admit, it would've made more sense for them to lay it out this way TO BEGIN WITH... but now everyone got used to the original way, where they had it on the side, so now everyone is waiting / lurking in the area where you line up to order & it's kind of a mess. I feel like they needed an architect to help design the inner flow better (like that scene in The Founder haha). It has never been that crowded whenever I come here either... maybe I'm just lucky?? Literally I've only had to wait for like 1-2 people in front of me. I guess I dont come during peak hours or something. I've almost tried every drink on the menu, so I wont go through and review them all, but of course the Magic Matcha is the best one!!! Love it so much, plus it's got good stuff for you. It's the most expensive though :( And in general, the drink prices here might be a little more than other places, esp since there is a lot of ice in the cups. The aloe, white chocolate, and blueberry are also REALLY good, even though you might not expect it!! My Japanese side is thrilled that they have onigiri on their menu, it’s not a mainstream food item in the US, I used to get made fun of eating these at lunch when I was a kid😕 It's a rice ball that has different things stuffed inside, and I've tried most of them, they're all delicious!! The only down side is that whatever sesame sprinkle they use on the top is SUPER salty (or maybe it's the salt from the seaweed? not sure)... either way that was kind of surprising to me. BTW, come after 9pm (they close at 10pm) and they do buy one get one on the onigiri!! My only gripe is this loyalty program :( It’s not dollar based, it’s just “earn a star if you spend over $3 (basically one visit, bc most items are ~$3). Except usually when I go, I spend like $10, so I feel like I should get more stars ⭐️⭐️🤔 For example, my froyo-obsessed self would always get annoyed when a place gives you “one stamp per visit” except I fill my cup with 3x as many lbs of froyo/spend more per visit than the average person. Not fair to make your most loyal customers lose out on points - everything should be dollar based, but I suppose there must be some business strategy behind it, guess they'd lose too much money if they did it on a dollar basis lol... Anyway, def worth a visit!!
The Madagascar Vanilla Matcha Latte was so good and you could tell it wasn't bad matcha, my only complaint is that when I came here with the rest of my summer camp; when they made the drinks most of us got the same drink but they would all be given yo us looking different so we were unsure if they were ours.
Really good high-quality matcha drinks. I ordered the rose-water matcha, 50% sweetness, less ice, with the egg pudding. Highly recommend that drink if you like smooth floral flavors. The tablet ordering system is a little annoying bc the staff needs to notice your order coming in. Also, you can't order the giant matcha soft serve 30 minutes before the store closes, so get here early if you need your matcha icecream fix🤣. Service and seating were ok.
Matcha is decent but no difference than other places. However, the black sesame ice cream is amazing. Checked in yelp and get 1 free topping
Nice boba shop next to UCLA. The ordering process is automated. Few tables are available for sit down. Parking in this area could be challenging. Matcha drinks are creative with different flavors. They also have coffee drinks and soft serve ice cream
Matcha ice tea's wasn't too sweet, my friends and I chose normal sugar option. We tried Mango matcha with soymilk 3/5, Chrysanthemum strawberry no milk 4/5, Strawberry matcha 4/5 one with oatmilk other with regular milk. The matcha in general is very pure and fresh tasting, no artificial taste which always a plus! We probably should have chosen the full sweetness option next time, it was pretty bland tasting for normal sweetness.

Got the matcha soft serve ice cream with boba and chocolate nibs as toppings. It was good, but not great. I want to try other drinks here before I update my comment. Update: the workers had no idea how to make drinks, so it was a looooong wait. I asked for straw 3 times, and still didn't get one. I tipped, but no sign of appreciation... So, I lowered to 3 stars from 4 stars.

Objectively the best matcha in Westwood but there’s like a 30-40% chance they give you green tinted milk with the faint suggestion of matcha flavor and you’re spending $7.50 either way

Went about 15 minutes before closing and was a little disappointed. I understand it was a little late but the guy gave us barely any boba (there wasn’t much left) but we were charged for it. He could’ve just gave it to one person? Drinks were also not that good, tasted rushed? We had the soft serve as well and that was good though. Just the service wasn’t the best before closing.
Wanted to try out a new place to drink some tea, relax and study. The store is very cute and lively. Music is very loud and energetic, not very my vibe as it gets hard to concentrate or chat with friends when all you can hear are songs blasting. But for those who enjoy this type of atmosphere and want to listen to music and drink something, it’s a good place.

TLDR: 0 stars for customer service. Save your money; there are plenty of other places in LA to get great drinks and not be treated like trash. I went to the Junbi Westwood location today extremely excited to try the new Miffy collab and purchase merch, however, this experience was so atrocious and deeply impacted my impression of Junbi. The store was empty besides 2 girls and so after I ordered from the kiosk, I walked up to the counter to inquire about merchandise. The male worker then rolled his eyes, sighed, and responded, "Well I have to make 2 blender drinks and 2 matchas and a rice ball and I guess I can help you after that." Weird response but I was in no rush since my drinks weren't ready so I said that was perfectly fine. However, after my drinks were done, I asked the same male worker if any Miffy glass cups were available and he looks SO exasperated, then proceeds to count every single drink and food order that came in after me (he literally went: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, etc until he counted all the drinks) and that he'll get back to me after that, in the most disrespectful tone. Are you serious? How can any in the service industry behave like this? The customers around me were equally horrified at the response. I simply wanted to know if something was in stock but you're expecting me to wait until you finish every single order in the store for you to respond to a yes or no question? I finally asked another worker (who was dressed extremely inappropriately where her undergarments were on fully display and her shirt kept falling off her body) if they had any Miffy glass cups available and she clipped back "NO, WE'RE OUT". I felt so horrible after this and did not even want to purchase the merchandise they did have available anymore. I especially regretted tipping earlier at the kiosk. This was honestly the worst customer service I've ever experienced in my entire time on Earth. Management needs to take a good hard look at who they're hiring because this does not seem to be an isolated incident from past reviews. It's particularly unfortunate because the drinks were actually delicious but this horrifyingly unprofessional experience shows that customer service is not a priority for Junbi and so I will not be returning ever again.
Mediocre matcha and hojicha latte is insanely sweet. Customer service is non-existent - very rude and passive aggressive. Better places in LA for matcha.
My boyfriend and I visited for the first time during the Miffy collaboration event, excited to experience both the themed merchandise and the matcha. The event officially started at 11:30 AM, and we got in line right on time. However, we didn’t leave until around 4 PM, which was far longer than we expected. Given that over 1,000 people had RSVP’d on Instagram, the company should have anticipated the large crowd. Unfortunately, the line moved at an agonizingly slow pace. It took us about 30–40 minutes to advance just 30 feet, as the line stretched around the block. At one point, the line didn’t move at all for 45 minutes, reportedly due to “employee breaks,” yet there was zero communication from staff. Understandably, many people abandoned the line, as we were left standing in the heat with no updates. As a matcha lover, I was determined to stick it out, hoping to try something unique. Sadly, I was extremely disappointed with my drink. For a place that calls itself a matcha house, the matcha was shockingly weak and pale, tasting more like milk than anything remotely close to authentic matcha. To make matters worse, it looked nothing like the vibrant drinks I’d seen in reviews or even the cups other customers received. Additionally, we were frustrated to learn after four hours of waiting that the event was card-only—something that wasn’t advertised anywhere, either on the Miffy event flyers or in-store signage. This was a huge inconvenience, and to add insult to injury, the merchandise was limited to one item per person/transaction, another detail that wasn’t communicated. While the employees were kind and welcoming, the management of this event was a disaster. Once inside, we were shocked to see a full staff, yet many employees were standing around while only a few were making drinks and packing orders. I understand that events can be taxing, but seeing workers lounging and chatting while we had waited in line for four hours was disappointing and unprofessional. Overall, this experience left a bad taste in my mouth—both literally and figuratively. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning to this “matcha” shop again.
Good reputation leads to complacency -- sad! When my friend's tea was not sweet enough, he asked for adding more sweetness. Surprisingly, the barista said she was too busy to make any modification !!! What an attitude ! What kind of business it represents when it allows a staff having this kind of attitude. The location of this store is in Westwood Village near UCLA Health Center
I’ve been to many junbi locations and this one seems to be the worst one. The drinks is way on the sweeter side and water down- even I did no sweet it is still sweet. The service is also bad. They also run out of boba and for the milk option they forced you to add $1.5 for oat milk since they run out of dairy milk as well
The whole experience today was a letdown and really showed a breakdown in communication and planning for the promotion (Buy one Get one Free). It would have been great if the staff could’ve given us a heads-up about the order backlog as soon as we walked in or maybe even paused the online orders to keep things manageable in-store. When you’re running a special deal, it feels like there should be enough hands on deck to make sure everyone who comes in before the deadline can actually take advantage of it. Today, I went into the store for their buy one get one deal around 4:30 and 4:40 PM. I know I was a bit cutting it close with the deal ending at 5 PM. While the line wasn’t too bad, but even so, we all ended up waiting over 10 minutes with no one coming over to take our orders. It was pretty clear there was only one employee making drinks, who didn’t seem to notice us standing there. Finally, around 4:55 PM, someone came over to take orders from a couple of groups ahead of me, and another employee jumped in to help out with the drinks. By the time it was my turn, it’s already 5 PM. This second employee told us they have too many orders and had to stop taking new ones in order to catch up. I explained I’d been waiting for over 10 minutes to order and he wondered if the self service machine work or not and went to check it (which, of course, wasn’t working), and then decided he could take my order. I asked if the deal was still on, and he said YES. But when we we finished ordering and continued to the payment process, he said that I can’t click the offer on the machine… and said the offer ends:)
Bad consistency with orders. Both times I went, I ordered the same drink, a Hojicha latte. The first time was good, but when I ordered the same exact drink a second time, same preferences, the sweetness was OVERPOWERING and I could barely taste any tea flavor. The taste was completely different and inedible for me. This was not what I expected from a 6.5 dollar drink (with no add-ons). I expected my preferences to be respected, and unfortunately that was not what I got in return.
They use being busy as an excuse to treat customers extremely rudely. I simply asked for a sleeve, but she threw it at me and it fell on the floor. She said, "I didn’t mean to," with an annoyed look on her face, but she didn’t apologize or offer me a new sleeve. I had to pick it up myself and call her again to request a new one. When I told them that their attitude was very rude and made me feel uncomfortable, they pushed back by saying they were very busy and stressed, implying that I should understand and asking me if I’ve ever worked in a busy environment. They showed absolutely no intention of apologizing. They completely lack even the most basic sense of customer service. I strongly recommend not wasting your money here and experiencing such trashy service.
The blond white girl(chuzz) is extremely rude, I was asking for help and she repeatedly kept ignoring my questions and yelling to order in the back despite being able to order in the front . Her demeanor is constantly negative every time I visit and seems to be reserved for customers as she is kind and courteous to coworkers. She should work on extending that kindness to everyone else.
this was the worse junbi experience i ever had- i had junbi in new jersey so we drove an hour to get here, let me tell you, the drinks are pure milk and sugar - DIABETES CALLING, never ever going back. the staff were not friendly at all. -saddddd

A $1.50 upcharge for non-dairy milk is just greedy... I get boba/coffee everyday and I have never seen it that high before.
THIS IS THE WORST SERVICE EVER , The girls at this place do whatever they want, especially one of them. We’ve been buying from this place for years, but in the last few months they hired a girl (I don’t know her name) who just does whatever she wants. Today I even had to throw away my drink because it was completely sweet—so sweet it was impossible to drink. And this has been happening repeatedly in the past few months. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY AT THIS PLACE!
This review is almost entirely about the service I received. I came on Friday with a friend to use up a gift card, but because it was a QR code on my phone, I couldn't use the kiosk to order, so I went up to the counter to ask. The worker there was clearly unhappy about having to help us, but I didn't think anything of it at first. When my friend ordered his drink, he asked if alternative milks cost more, and the worker answered but he didn't hear her, so he asked her again. The worker then proceeds to roll her eyes, put her hand against her head, mutter something like "oh my god" under her breath, and then answer in a clearly annoyed voice again. The matcha was honestly fine. About what I'd expect from a chain matcha store, probably not worth the price. But I'm honestly just horrified by the service. I don't need you to be gushingly nice as a service worker, but acting like this is honestly below the way you'd treat someone outside of the serivce industry. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Today I even had to throw away my drink because it was completely sweet—so sweet it was impossible to drink. And this has been happening repeatedly in the past few months. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY AT THIS PLACE!
