Loved the food, employees, location & prices.
You have to try the Nutty Bean drip coffee.
Good coffee and interesting location.
Good food with fresh ingredients.
Nice, by the bay, no complaints.
Just a really nice place.
Great burrito
Delicious goodies!
Nice little spot by the bay 👌
Wonderful place with the new management
Amazing food and service, loved it. Best breakfast I've had in awhile.
Notti-Bean Turbo coffee is my life support. Love this place!
I really love the vibe and aesthetic, there nothing like going to your local coffee shop with the perfect view of the harbor, and sitting near the water hearing the harbor, and the quality is always on point. The customer service is always so good. the baristas and cashiers always have a smile. and never mess up.
I visit this little heaven on earth every single time I visit!
Great coffee and breakfast items right on the bay
The breakfast burritos are delicious and an ample and perfectly portioned meal. The Carmel Sutra is also wonderful! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Great coffee. Great pastries. Lots of outside seating
Super tasty Croissant Sandwich and Avocado Toast. Plenty of outdoor seating. Friendly staff. Relaxing, good vibes.
Great coffee and tasty food! Some unique options that are super good! My favorite is the rainforest matcha latte!
love the nauti bean, best vanilla latte ive ever had. highly recommend the lox bagel and breakfast burrito
Stopped here for a late lunch after a walk, enjoyed the location and food: avo toast and burrito, both fresh and tasty. Staff especially friendly.
They have the best spot to get coffee in the area. The staff are super friendly and the food and coffee are great
Great spot for coffee and breakfast in the Baywood, Morro Bay, Los Oso's area. Bagels, breakfast sandwiches & burritos and great pastries!
These great folks really know how to make a bean naughty. They took me clammin in the bay and showed me how to find the c spot. Come out and play. The clams are waiting…
Great spot - so glad to have a coffee shop back here again Nice people working here - nice layout - and food and coffee is fresh and good sized Thanks for being here!
This is the BEST BEAN! Always friendly personal service. Great food and drinks. Never disappointed.
An absolute gem! Everything here is fresh and delicious, friendly staff, gorgeous views of the back bay.
Very pleasant seating by the water! Good drip coffee as well.
Always accommodating, friendly and welcoming. Even when very busy their service is quick and efficient.

Avo Toast / kitchen sink bfast burrito PERFECT
Great spot in Baywood Los Osos breakfast by the tide flats
Breakfast burrito and coffee were super yummy. Funny friendly staff too, can't wait to visit again!
You don’t want to miss this gem if you’re driving through or even a local(but I’m guessing the locals know). Excellent atmosphere inside with fun vintage music and movie posters, skateboards, and lunchboxes through the decades. The coffee and pastries were top notch and have the option of being warmed up which for me is a huge plus. I prefer my bear claw warm and gooey. Although the view is across a parking lot it’s vast and wide enough to still capture your eye. A short walk with your coffee puts you on the waters edge with birds and aquatic life to observe. A+ Will be back to this quiet peaceful and super fun coffee/breakfast hideaway.
It is right on the bay and the food is reasonably priced and taste excellent. It is dog friendly with a lot of local people that are very friendly.
Excellent place to grab a quick breakfast with excellent coffee options! They only have outdoor seating and with good reason, considering that they are near the water and the views are amazing. There is plenty of parking, and I have yet to wait very long for an order. One of my usual morning stops when I am in the area.
This is a great little spot to grab some coffee and breakfast. The food is really good and there are many choices of coffee drinks. I really like the option to refill your coffee for a dollar! The seating is outdoors and has a nice view of the back side of the bay. Dig the 70's and 80's memorabilia, lunch pales, skateboard decks! My family really enjoys this place and will definitely keep coming back!
It is so nice to have a local coffee shop down by the water. Great drinks and great views. It can get busy, so it might not be the fastest experience, but it has a cool vibe.
The restroom was clean. Cute small inside area to order food and drinks. Clean tables.
Great neighborhood coffee/food/pastries. Good food, staff is very friendly, respectful, courteous and majority are young adults making their way. Highly recommend. Treat yourself to coffee on the Backbay and get a friendly greeting from Cordelia, Aiden, Roz, Alex, Esther, Natalie and more (sorry I haven't met all of you yet). Thanks gang for your friendliness. Always great to see your smiling faces and bright eyes! Brian
Friendly, casual, great place for coffee and a breakfast sandwich. So far, we tried the kitchen sink burrito and the "eggel" ... delicious. So nice sitting on the patio with our small dog. Lots of folks with their dogs.
What more can you ask for than an excellent service coffee and breakfast shop by the ocean. What a view and what a breakfast!! The crew was amazing, especially Isara. Would definitely go back again. Chai was incredible and breakfast scramble a must.
We're so happy we got a great breakfast place in town. They are right on the bay, so the views and walks are great for sipping a cup of awesome coffee. I like their bagels breakfast sandwiches and pastries.
Beautiful view. I got the Carmel Sutra and it was even more delicious than I had hoped
I was always a fan of Nautical Bean on LOVR in SLO as I used to live down the street. Definitely a very welcome addition to Baywood! The decor and makeover of the building is great. Tremendous amount of outdoor seating. The food is just as good, if not better than I remember having at the SLO location. It was great to see the owner there in person, making and serving food/drink. So happy to have something local open at 6 am on weekdays now too! Looking forward to many trips down here along with all of the other great spots we have in Baywood. Thanks Brett!
Visiting from the UK and our hosts recommended this place. I picked up a load of cake and pastries for the whole family to enjoy for elevenses. The quality was excellent with thebear claws in particular receiving rave reviews. Well done 👏
LOVE LOVE LOVE, everything about Nautical bean, staff is AMAZING , coffee is superb, food(especially the breakfast burrito) very very delicious. I highly recommend . The outdoor seating is a perk of this location.
Excellent coffee stop. Muffins were great and the coffee is fantastic. Location is great, very relaxing. Great service!!
The owner of this place must have been following me through my childhood in the 70s and 80s because the design aesthetic made me feel right at home. Down to the labels for the drip coffee varieties based on old VHS tape brand logos. Details matter. The vibe is low-key chill, but exceptionally smart. Great coffee, great baked goods, and absolutely A1 people watching. The senior table starts to populate around 8 and they are live. They even leave an old towel outside on the patio furniture for you to wipe the condensation off so yo' booty don't get wet. Thoughtful AND hip. Rare.
This is a really nice location right by the bay. The employees were all very sweet and helpful. The location had cool posters and stickers giving it a vibe. The bathroom was clean with funny pictures and the coffee was good. I had a sausage croissant and didn't care for it, but my family liked it. I ordered a fancier drink and it was too sweet for me. My family loved their drinks. I should have stuck to black coffee.
I wish I had found this cafe earlier on my stay. I had lunch there this morning and I loved the food, the setting across the bay, the prices are great. The menu is limited but I could find something to try every day. I had the Lox on toasted Bagel and it was delicious and filling. They have great pastries as well. I’ll definitely be back before I leave.
A great little coffee shop on the harbor that serves breakfast. There is nothing like enjoying a good cup of coffee with breakfast while viewing the harbor and enjoying the outdoors. The kitchen sink wrap is awesome! The place is a favorite with the locals and always busy. Well worth a drive from Morro Bay to check out.
I thought it was a perfect place to stop spend a bit of the morning with a latte and journal before continuing north to Cambria. The barista was friendly and helpful. I loved that she knew the regular people and their drinks - there is just something refreshing to hear “morning Diane your usual?”
Found out they make ice blended matcha / latte drinks! My matcha drink was super sweet unexpectedly so might want to ask them about sweetness level.
Whenever I'm visiting the central coast, I always make sure to stop by the Nautical Bean. Great coffee and breakfast items located right on the bay. The bathroom here is also excellent; well stocked with soap, toilet paper, and hand towels.
What a nice place to stop and have breakfast anytime of the day with a cup of Joe. Due to it's rather small size this bistro only serves breakfast sandwiches, burritos and the like. Plenty of parking and outside seating available. The crousant sandwich was toasty and yummy. Give it a try, you won't be dissappointed. Good job guys.
Kitchen Sink wrap and a light roast is the way!! Shoutout to the staff, I see them in the back making everything from scratch. What a great little cafe with such an amazing outside location!
Excellent coffee, pastries, and sandwhiches...with a fast and VERY friendly service team. My teen who doesn't eat anything loves their croissant breakfast. We love coming here early in the morning to enjoy our coffee with the view of the bay. This is conveniently located across the street from our Inn (which you should book, BTW!)
Nautical Bean has a fabulous location, across from the Bay, and the best coffee in town. Their prices are reasonable. I’m stuck on the Avo Toast from their breakfast menu. To say it was fabulous is an understatement.
Great new coffee shop on the block! Has a tasty array of quick bites and good coffee drinks. I had the Mexican mocha, perfectly chocolatey. They've got outdoor seating and friendly staff. Their avocado 🥑 toast looks good too!!
During high tide the view is a rose, at low tide it is also a rose, but muddy. The Peru coffee is the reason I come, best cup for miles. All the food is equally good. Muffins could be a bit more hearty - Spinach and Feta pastry is the top dog. Great place to bring your dog, biscuits and tolerance as well as water bowls and places to tie up if needed. Bring a towel or rag to wipe down seats from the fog.
Came in for coffee☕️ love the atmosphere and service at the new shop in morro bay.
Super dope small skateboarder owned coffee shop! Lots of cool old-school boards and lunchboxes to look at. Good coffees and expensive breakfast and food options.
Great small coffee and breakfast shop. Quick and friendly service. Their Eggel and California Eggel were served quickly, warm, and delicious. Their drip and Americano coffee were great. The best part of it was there reasonable prices.

The coffee was fantastic, and so is the beautiful view of the bay. What a cool place to hang out. The only thing I would ask is that they move the line a little bit faster so that we’re not standing there most of the time when we’re trying to hang out with our friends. Even if the orders are backed up at least get people through the line quicker so we can go sit down and chat and hang out by the bay and wait for our name to be called. Versus standing out in line for 20 minutes.
The coffee, and the food, make up for the service that is more interested in chatting than serving. I'll deal with the service, and the other quirks for the coffee and the food, every morning.
Amazing coffee shop. Great prices and tasty coffee/burritos. Its a perfect spot to stop on a long road trip for some Slo county nostalgia.
I walked into the Nautical Bean in Morro Bay on the first day it is open to the public and I was impressed with the remodel of the space. It is similar in style with the two other Nautical Bean locations that I have been to in SLO and Los Osos/ Baywood. I was served by the owner Brett Jones, and his mother and other family members. They were very nice to speak with and welcoming. The space was comfortable and visually has many interesting focal points. The Wifi is good along with the tunes. I'm looking forward to returning again, even before I'm done writing this review.

I went to the Los Osos location. Coffee and pastry was good, but I could see that the person doing the food prep was not wearing gloves. Had her hands all over the fried egg. Also I do not understand why the outside seating area is so unkept. Need to clean tables and do a large clean up - sweeping and gardening.
Very relaxing spot with a small pier nearby. We tried their Mexican mocha and it was a great drink to have on a cold morning.
Stopped by there for the first time a month ago and now I drive there 3 times a week, great service, good prices and friendly employees.
Good Coffee but it takes awhile for the barista to make it
Great location, excellent breakfast sandwiches.
We love this place, but I can't stand how the staff all touch the lip of the water cups with their hands. It is unsanitary. They should not touch the cup where we put our mouths. Other than that, we eat here every weekend and highly recommend it.
Very good breakfast burrito and big enough to share. Outside seating only and right on the ocean so bring a jacket. I don't love their coffee but most folks do - so it's just my own preference.
The food was good and the location is quite nice, although the layout of the outdoor space puts people sitting stop one another a bit, and right up against a parking lot.
Yummy coffee! They have Macadamia milk, fun. Little place with a huge patio and outside bathroom. Limited food.
We enjoyed breakfast at the Nautical Bean for each of our three days in Baywood. Their coffee is excellent, and they have an innovative breakfast menu. We enjoyed the California Eggel, your choice of bagel with egg, melted jack cheese, tomato, onion & avocado. (We skipped the onion). They also have an interesting lunch menu with sandwiches, wraps and salads.
Super good coffee!! I love the shot in the dark or the Carmel sutra. I would avoid their breakfast burritos as it’s 50% tortilla :(

Cute place by the water. Both employees working were not friendly at all. No smiles, no greeting, no personality. The both ignored us as we stood there for two minutes. The girl dumped her jar of tips on the counter to count it instead of even saying ‘hello’ or ‘we will be with you in a minute’, I asked which of two drinks the person preferred in hopes of helping me decide. His response was, “I have no idea. I don’t drink either.” … cool… thank you for the help. Would not come back.
Cute little spot. The food just isn’t amazing, wasn’t expecting it to be 5 star food or service, but very unimpressed. Spent nearly $25 for two egg sandwiches and a coffee, the “eggle” I would definitely not recommend with onion or the cream cheese just too many flavors. Though all things aside it’s such a nice environment :)
Latte tastes both watery and burned. The baked goods & bagel sandwich were ok.
Breakfast burrito gave me food poisoning, beware!
During our visit to Los Osos to see family and staying at the Back Bay Inn, we were given a daily voucher for Nautical Bean. Our initial visit on Saturday, March 1st, left us extremely disappointed. Upon arrival, I mentioned the voucher to the cashier, but she responded with a blank stare and a dismissive tone, as if I were inconveniencing her. Later, after our coffee and food were delivered, I went back to mention that the blueberry muffin was missing, only to be met with the same unfriendly attitude. My wife experienced a similar lack of courtesy when she asked a simple question to the food runner. What made the situation even more disheartening was noticing that a local customer was warmly welcomed—a stark contrast that suggested a “locals versus tourists” treatment. As a result, we decided not to return for breakfast. Although we did come back on the second and third days solely for coffee using the voucher, we opted to grab breakfast elsewhere. While the coffee itself was decent, the consistently poor service makes it hard to recommend Nautical Bean. I hope this feedback helps improve the experience for future visitors.
Was treated rudely for no reason, asked to speak to the manager, refused to give me the manager's name or phone number, usual zero accountability or recourse.
Place is a hit or miss, the staff is stuck up and in their own world. Came in for a muffin ended up waiting 15min. Waste of time. Also beware that most of your food will get microwaved and lack of hygiene is top tier. No gloves are used to handle food on in this establishment.
