Andy Medina is a great server... We went in Sunday and it was really busy they couldn't even sit anymore because it was so slammed... This young man remains very calm while the older ladies were very rude and very agitated because they were slammed... He also was slammed but he remained very calm and was very kind.... I know the ladies have been there longer but they really could learn something from this young man...with both ladies we felt like a nuisance and like we weren't wanted at all because they were too slammed... And he welcomed us from start to finish even though he was slammed as well...We almost left I'm glad we stayed great job saving service busy or not calm attitude and kindness goes a long way and you're usually able to tell on whether the customer is willing to wait or not. Thank you for valuing our service but mostly thank you for not being nasty with us we literally just came to Denny's to eat because they have delicious breakfast 🥞🍳

We came to Denny’s after we realized we haven’t been in a while. I read a positive review on Google so we decided to come back, and I am so glad that we did. Service was fast! We had an amazing server by the name of James who made us feel like royalty. It was very clean, and the food tasted delicious! We will be definitely be back! I found a note in my car reminding me to do this google review. A couple of months ago a family member had car problems at Denny's after eating there. Denny's has nothing to do with it. My family asked if I could drive up there and help with the car. When I got there a waitress by the name of Esther actually came out and helped us figure out some car problems before we went out on our road trip (which is why I just just found the note now cleaning out my car.) Esther went way above and beyond being a waitress at Denny's, she actually came out to become our personal mechanic for the night! Give Esther a raise! You really can't teach customer service like that!

We went to Denny's on Christmas Day. I was very impressed with a woman whom I assume was the manager. She was on top of all aspects of the restaurant, even putting on gloves and doing food prep as needed, in addition to seating tables and taking payments and such. I only gave 4 stars for two reasons. Even with the mitigating factor that it was Christmas and they were very busy, we waited almost 45 minutes for our food after we'd ordered, and that was after waiting for a table for a while. And although I ordered my hash browns crispy, it seemed like they undercooked half of them and burnt the rest. They were not good. Again, Christmas Day and it was probably pretty stressful. Nonetheless, it was a pretty good experience, but not 5 star. Our server Christine was extremely pleasant and likeable.

Breakfast for dinner was the best, we had a very attentive waitress, drinks were always full and delivered our food in a timely manner. We did have a hiccup with the silverware, they were dirty, but she replaced them with a clean set. The wear and tear are definitely showing and need polishing from the Lubbock hard water. Otherwise our visit was good.

The place and the service both are great! We went on dinner as a family outing and really enjoyed the time! We ordered the Wild Alaska Salmon platter with sides rice, salad and Mac n cheese. And pancakes for our baby girl, they decorated those with whipped cream and sprinkles which wasn’t supposed to come, that was so sweet of them! Also, they provided some fish cheddar cheese for our little one to pass the waiting time! Now coming to our plate, I really wasn’t so impressed by the look but it tasted better than the look. My salmon wasn’t cooked perfectly inside, so they gave us some discount at check out. The manager lady was very nice and generous! Overall our experience was great!

Food is immaculate for what it is, breakfast and lunch. Old timey. Brings back memories. Price is great. Food is great. Service is okay. It seems franchisee owned but it isn’t for a lack of trying that makes service mediocre. The cook does well and takes pride in his work, as much as he can. I found a Dennys. Haven't eaten at one in years. Not what it once was. I was sadly disappointed. The menu. Changed for the worst. The meals I use to order were no longer available. Salmon and rice. Mostly burgers and usual breakfast.

I ordered a cheese omelet with veggies and ordered hashbrowns with cheese. The omelet was good, but the hashbrowns, I added ketchup and hot sauce to them, but that one bite was hoooorrible they tasted stale... the server asked us if everything was okay.. These hashbrowns are trash. "I told the server they tasted old and tasted horrible. " The shift manager offered to remake them or a discount, which i appreciated the offer. I just ate the omelet and toast. But I still offered to pay for my food and left a tip.

10 Jan 2018 @1130, Denny's is my preferred breakfast place. Today at this location I was disappointed. The floors were dirty, and felt slippery, the booth I sat in had a tomato on the floor along with random papers. The table was not clean, and booths had accumulated crumbs from multiple meals. This was by far the worst experience I've had at a Denny's. The food was extremely greasy, I had a headache when I was done eating. The couple in the booth next to us agreed that food was greasy. I really hope they understand that it's a team effort to keep a business clean. Lastly they claimed the food was greasy due to a new cook in training.

Since the kitchen can be seen from the dinner we could see that the cooks are eating from the plates they are preparing with their bare hands. No one on the kitchen is using gloves or hair nets to prepare the food. Very unhigienic. Beware health authorities.

Both food and service were TERRIBLE! It took over an hour and a half to get our meal. Yes, the restaurant was short handed, but the hostess/waiter never stated that our food order would be FOREVER to serve. When the waiter placed our order in the window the cook, young guy with long hair who was listening to music through earbuds, complained about having to make it. We noticed him because the waiter kept banging on the counter to get his attention when placing orders; which drew our attention. We didn't order a 5 course gourmet meal; just a Burger, Sampler Plate, Philly Steak Sandwich, and the Meatloaf Plate. The waiter finally brought our food to the table in stages, yet we couldn't eat for about 5 mins. more due to the lack of silverware. I had to get up and get them from underneath the work station myself. The Philly Steak Sandwich was filled with mushrooms and melted cheese and only 3 slices of steak and it was served on a cold bun. It felt like it was taken right from the refrigerator (see the photos). I asked the waiter to have the cook to heat it up on the grill, and the cook said, "I don't understand what she wants". The side order of corn from the Meatloaf Plate literally was a teaspoon size serving. The burger was not dressed properly...and on and on...We were NOT PLEASED AT ALL!

We waited over an hour for our food and when we received it, it was over cooked and over seasoned. When we came into the restaurant we were told it would be about a 20min wait for food so was very disappointed in the wait time with hungry children. Hearing the cooks patronize the servers and purposefully ignoring certain orders because of their frustration with a server did not help.

If you want low quality food and poor service this it the spot.

The cook couldn't even manage an over medium pair of eggs. When our food arrived, the eggs were completely burnt on the outside while the whites were un cooked. They seemed to be out of everything. Several Customers came in to inquire about items on the menu only to be told they were out. We opted to have toast instead of pancakes. They were out of sourdough. Asked for rye toast and again they were out. Our drinks well, you get the picture. Very bad customer service and very very poor food quality.

The worst Service ever...We waited an hour for our breakfast, the potatoes were burned,toast was almost burned & hard. Not enough wait staff , place was getting busy. Why didn't manager come out to help or pass out coffee or set up water...I had family in from out of town. It was embarrassing.Will never be back, HORRIBLE.

Ordered take out breakfast on 12/28/2025 at about 12:45. Picked up the order and items were missing from our order so we had to go back in. We got home, right across the street and pancakes were not cooked. The center of them were filled with uncooked batter. Hashbrowns were the worst I've ever had. Cold, raw-like and disgusting. For the last 8 years we have lived in Lubbock, I've always said take any chain restaurant, move it to Lubbock and it will be the worst you've ever had! Anyone who has lived in other cities in different parts of the country knows exactly what I mean. For people that grew up in Lubbock and have never been anywhere else don't know any better. They have been used to a very low bar their entire lives.

She didn’t come check on our table we had to grab another waiter to help us out after our food was wrong, he said he went to get the manger to correct our order the manger still didn’t come check on us I had I walk to the front to let the manger know about our messed up order and our waiter still hadn’t came to check on us at that point and my pancakes had egg shells inside them 0/10 we left and came to IHOP

Server took a while taking our order, was all up in our faces and did not know basic food terminology. If you order a bacon cheeseburger and ask for it plain and dry, that does not mean to even take off the cheese and bacon. We also ordered a chicken fried steak and were asked how we would like it cooked, when those are always cooked all the way through. It's not a basic steak. Once I saw our food come out, another server took it to a different table. They left the burger on the pass while they remade the chicken fried steak, so it was going to be cold when it was ready. Server and cooks were arguing in-front of customers, and our server decided to go on break without giving us our food first. Just walked out.

Waffle for my nephew had so much sugars in the batter even he couldn’t eat it. He’s a sugar hound. I ordered a Cobb salad it was slimy and missing a boiled egg and the garnish amongst other things aside from being tiny. (I’ve eaten that salad 10 times) Who runs these places? The hostess came and apologized? That’s not he job. Where’s the manager? Hiding in the office.?Terrible terrible terrible. I can’t understand how these people are allowed to operate a restaurant. Feeding people is the last responsibility that group should bear. Hygiene of the cooks was filthy. Un groomed and unshaven for weeks they were loudly argumentative with the wait staff and putting out trash not to mention loud and irritating to listen too as they laughed like idiots. Just cook good food. The place was 3/4 empty and they couldn’t pull a Cobb salad together? Pffft that place will go bye bye soon. Too bad Denny’s used to be americas restaurant. I guess I should expect less. Do yourself a favor and drive down to Burger King. Way better value and food

My sweet tea came in a glass with something gooey on the inside of the rim. The sweet tea tasted horrible. They were out of marinara sauce for the mozzarella sticks but didn’t bother to tell us when we ordered them and give us the option of ordering something else. The plate they brought to split the mozzarella sticks was dirty. Received garlic bread instead of texas toast, with no warning. Servers (ours and another) were arguing loudly over where to sit customers. Little feminine boy was making customer’s stand and wait for an open table in his section, which was completely full, when the older lady server had open tables in her section, just because he kept saying it was his turn. I ordered the sirloin “medium rare” and while it was closer to rare it was pretty close to being right and it was much better than being over-done. Despite all of that, our server was pretty good,… brought stuff quick, apologized for issues, pre-bused, brought to-go containers quickly The manager did come and apologized for the issues. The staff was better than they have been in the past but the lack of cleanliness was disturbing. Our ticket came out to about $50 for two of us.
