Talk about customer service!! They made a boo boo on my order, and they went above and beyond to correct the issue. They sent a delivery to correct it and some extra yummy goodies. The staff there is super attentive and respectful. Loyal customer for life. Keep it up guys

The absolute best place ever! Delicious food and fast delivery. It can be expensive be well worth it. Highly recommend the steak tip! Love all that comes with it like buttered broccoli(so good) and loaded baked potato. Always get an extra roll, they are amazing with the honey butter spread. The cookies are good too. I would eat here every single day. Yall NEED to OPEN a Steak Express in the FORT WORTH / DALLAS area!!! Those leaving less then a 5 star review just don't know how good this place is until you don't have it anymore. Steak Express is LOVE Steak Express is LIFE.
1st time carry out and as I sit here and type I am enjoying my steak & shrimp dinner. No complaint here! Will Definately go back for seconds next time I'm in the Hub. Service good and prompt. Food delish.
I would like to rate 5 stars (honestly, I wish I could rate more than 5) for Steak Express brand wet wipes. They are truly the highlight of the store and dining experience. Let me tell you something... not only do they smell lemonly fresh but they can clean anything. One wipe goes the extra mile!! Since 1996, I have collected extra wipes I didn't end up enjoying after my dinner steak nips. I use these things for everything, from cleaning the floors, wiping grandbabies bottoms or cleaning up when a shower isn't accessible. They always do the job. No matter how big, small, wet, dry, saturated or oozy. Thank you Steak Express for giving such a product as a complimentary gift for your customers. -Don
Great food! I went to a steak house last week and was less than impressed. So I tried steak express this week and enjoyed my delicious meal at home at half the cost. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone! The steak was juicy and tender and the loaded baked potato was awesome as well. I will most definitely be going back!😋

I was hesitant to order this for lunch based on different opinions, but I gave it a shot. My food was FANTASTIC! I had it delivered to my office. It was on time, nice and hot and the steak was juicy and tender. I have absolutely NO regrets about ordering it only regret having not tried it sooner.
Natasha, specifically is one of the best! I know her by her voice only but she’s always kind and courteous when I order (kind of a lot). One time I called in and had a huge problem with one of the other staff members, she took instant ownership and took over and fixed the problem. She is the manager from what I understand . I’ve never met her in person only talked to her on the phone, but she should be the example on how to manage a business , handling customer complaints with genuine sincerity. This is me and my boyfriends go to place when we wake up hungover haha!!! Feeds us feeds the kids. Everythings always good and always correct expect ONE time we called and got it corrected and received a 15% discount on next order. This last order we order for 5 people under 40 bucks. Mind-Blowing Eats? That is an understatement. I have tried this place and other places in town, and this is by far the best steak I have had in a long long long time. First time I ordered was during the holidays and it was less then great, but leaps and bounds above others still. And they delivered during holidays... Second time was during the week, and the steaks and everything was melt in your mouth tenderness. You get exactly was it pictured, no slants or switches... everything taste as great as it is said to be. Your paying steak house prices, for steak house experience brought to your house.
Great food. Walk in route was closed drive thru service was slow. Called order twenty-five minutes prior to picking it up. It seem that there was no direction given if they had to wait on their orders being prepared to move and wait or move aside. It would been better to have order taken out to customer then. To call in and say I'm here and get order bought out to the customer.
Came in on Thursday during the lunch hour to pick up my online order for two. I chose the ribeye special. Upon arrival I noticed only two individuals inside working. They were busy, phone was ringing, somebody in the drive thru, me in the lobby, a few orders bagged. Not once did they ever seem rushed or upset, stressed, or under pressure. They acknowledged me and made sure I knew they’d be with me as soon as they could. Both made sure I had everything needed before leaving the store. Food was great as always, but this 5 star rating is for the staff, one man and one woman who were working great as a team. Thank you both
After reading all the reviews on this place, I was a lot apprehensive. But I know mostly bad experiences are posted, but I was TOTALLY AMAZED! The steaks were hot and juicy, baked potato was done and hot. The rolls were fresh and soft . The salad fresh My only complaint would that there wasn't enough butter for the potatoes. So I would definitely recommend this place . And we ordered on Saturday evening. It took an hour exactly but that I expected for the time of day. Great food!
Sooo good!!! The food here is amazing! My husband and I order from them a lot! They deliver their own food too, you don’t have to go through a 3rd party. The prices are amazing as well! If you try them I promise you will be back again and again!

Steak Express is an awesome business with great food. And it is affordable, delivery is for the most part fast, and the crew is very respectful. I've never had any issue with delivery, delivery drivers or pick up orders. My food has always been too hot to eat at first so to those who "claim" to have cold food..I've purposely let mine just sit for an hour or two and it was still warm..so good job Steak Express North location!!
Unbelievably HOT and delicious! The best delivered food we have ever experienced. Seriously! Staying at the Koa and had dinner delivered. The steak was melt in your mouth and the food wasn’t just warm it was burn your fingers hot. Everything was individually wrapped in foil to keep it hot. It was better than 99% of the meals we have eaten inside a restaurant. We have had a lot of food delivered in a number of different cities and Texas Steak Express has been the best hands down. Even got plenty of napkins and quality utensils to eat with. I would travel back to Lubbock just to have more. So good!
In town for a meeting. Ordered online with ease. Delivery faster than expected. Steak tips were cooked perfectly. They did forget my cake but the manager was awesome and she fixed the mistake. The driver was so nice. I highly recommend ordering. Will certainly order again!!
We've always had great experiences with Steak Express. The food is good and reasonably priced. We especially like them for big games or something we want to watch at home but still want a steak. Don't miss out on their hamburgers. Very good!

Great choice for delivery! plus they had this very friendly lady at the counter with under 20$ prices and decent food, highly recommend as a separate choice from your main burger joint if you love sweet tea and southern style pies.
The Philly cheese was delicious, customer service definitely helpful for been there my first time salad was delicious also and the steaks tips 😋 omg..... soft tender steak with flavors keep you coming back. I'm definitely a fan of this place. Going back to try more of the menu, and of course if your ever around give them a try. My experience is highly recommended ✔️😁👍
Everytime I come here its just always a 15 min wait there fast but freshly cooked burgers with a free tea when picking up the staff is always nice and respectful never have got mistreated and the not to mention the price for a thick juicy burger is only about 8 buck give or take always a pleasure and never let down here at this location will keep returning for good service
New to the area, my family and i were searching for a quick place to eat. We found this to be a very friendly, fast, economical place. The food was a good value and tasty. It is NOT a sit down restaurant but rather a take out & delivery spot. Overall we were happy with our experience here.
They always get my order correct and the drivers are very friendly. Some of the people taking the order seem to be in a rush which is not bad but it creates poor customer service. Other then that this company and team is amazing!
Kids meals were great, I really enjoyed the philly sandwich despite the half soggy bun, and my husband described his burger as overcooked. Overall not a bad experience.
My visits go well lol cause I visit often, there usually pretty quick depending how big your order is they also do catering, meat is usually seasoned well an cooked to order.
We eat here quite often, and 9 times out of 10, it's great! They offer yummy 1/2 price burgers (no side) on Mondays, from 4-6pm. We've only experienced 1 dry burger in our most recent visits. Other than that, the burgers always taste great! We like them because they taste like a burger you've grilled yourself at home. They serve it on a sesame seed bun, with all fixings & condiments on the side, so your burger doesn't get soggy before you make it home. We've recently had their ribeye's a few time's & while the flavor was really good, consistency was a factor. I think this was more maybe a problem in the actual meat & not the cook on the meat. 1 visit, the steak was super tender, cooked perfectly, while the next visit, the steak appeared perfect in color, great flavor, but tough as leather. I've had this issue at Texas Roadhouse MANY TIMES, so again, I think it may have just been the meat itself. The sirloin tips were decent. Cooked fine, but my daughter, who is bff's with black pepper, felt they were even too peppery for her taste. They definitely had a different, somewhat fragrant or herbal flavor that the ribeye doesn't & they didn't have the grill marks like the ribeyes, so it was more like they dad been cooked inside the foil rather than grilled. Could have just been a fluke. The baked potatoes are always one of our favs! The side salad that comes with the steak dinners shouldn't be called a side salad, and the rolls are served cold & just ok. The iced tea used to be the BEST IN TOWN, but sadly, it's not good at all anymore! We don't even accept the free tea they offer on pick ups or the tea that comes with some meals. Tastes like bad instant. So, like any place, there are hits and misses, but it's definitely worth trying if you haven't. The good definitely outweighs the bad. They offer delivery, drive-up, and walk-in pick-up, but NO dine in.
First time there. Great seasoning, really good tasting food. Very friendly staff. I went to the one on north loop by Walmart. Huge baked potato. Fantastic shrimp, you must get the shrimp. Soft roll. Only draw back was that one steak was cooked just 2 minutes too long, came out more medium well to well done. But, still great tasting and we ate it without regret. I will go back. Definitely a do again!!

My Sons, Jalen & current Red Raider Sean "Rambo" Robinson favorite take out since We lived in Killeen years ago. Glad he found you! 4 🌟 stars because I wanted to dine in after my drive from Cibolo. LOL
We usually order beef tips and have never had a bad meal here. We ordered cheeseburgers this time. They were large, with lettuce, onion, tomato that was fresh. The only thing we noticed was the somewhat heavy hamburger seasoning. It was pretty salty. We will order burgers again, but I will ask if they can cook a couple of completely unseasoned patties. The burgers were still very good. The tea was very good. Service was excellent.
Food is good; customer service and employee attitudes could use some improvement. UPDATE: The store manager gave me a call and apologized for the poor experience I had and made things right; adding a 🌟. Update: I gave them another try. I don't know if it's the company, the owner or just this location, but customer service is subpar.
We placed an order for 4 people - all different items- on a friday about 530 pm online. Order was supposed to take 15' before pickuo. We arrived in 20' and had to wait 5'. Not bad. I looked at the grill and it was totally full with 2 people manning just the grill. In all there were about 10 people in the kitchen each busy with tasks. The cashier was pleasant and asked if we wanted sweet/unsweet tea and offerred a gallon instead of cups since theur was 4 orders. Once we got home and unpacked, the containers were marked for easy identification. We did find that they forgot the gravy for the chopped steak. Otherwise, all items were cooked to specification with good flavor - no steak sauce required. Not bad for a takeout place. We usually order from them 2 - 3 times per month
I'm guessing I should've tried the steak. Burgers are definitely not this place's forte. I mean...I ate it, but definitely wasn't "Wow'd" by it. I do have to say: the delivery was convenient, and our delivery guy came before the anticipated 45 minutes. Hoping to change my rating after I try the steak.
They are fast! Most of there food is great, when it's prepared right and checked for quality. My wife and I like ordering from here but the last couple times the food was sub par. I order the filet mignon and the didn't cook it the way I selected and it was very chewy. My last meal the chicken had quite a bit of fat and so did the steak tips. The baked potato was very old. I opened it up and there were eyes and spores everywhere. I could not eat it. Tea is good and so are the cookies but it's a 50 50 chance you'll get what you hope for.
I used the app and it was very easy to use. The food was good. Nothing to jump up and down for, but it was easy and affordable. It lives up to its name, Steak Express. Go on line, order it and in a few minutes, pick it up. Good food for a decent price. I have not tried their delivery. They have a good deal for first online ordering, but you have to pick up your order. I used the South location.
Did an online order today; all the food was delicious. I was missing and item and they sent out a driver to deliver it to me which was great! But the only complaint was the first deliver driver reeked like cigarettes and weed. Like sure do that on your own time but come on now not while your delivering food. The bags the food came in stunk!! I really wish I could take back the tip I gave her.
After giving business over 12 yrs same location it has really started to fall short. Orders have been incorrect and they will fix it but it may take hours after order has been delivered and it’s not customer first.( So yes I’ll wait to eat my steak another hour since you gave me a rotten potato and say it’s going to be awhile before they can replace it) yeah no thanks and will give discount but not on a coupon well I’m sorry I messed up no not me you. I will start looking for another place after spending 40$ and bad service.... yeah I could find a better dinner for that and it was for two..
Not the best lunch! This place is one of my favorites, so I'm appalled for what happened today! I placed my order before noon through the app. I couldn't eat it... so I definitely did not enjoy it. The chop steak was overcooked, a bit crispy, and very, very salty! However, the raspberry tea was delicious.
Although the food was tasty it was cold and took almost two hours to get to me and I was located 6 minutes away. They gave me a $15 coupon for the trouble attached to my old phone number and somehow can't find it now. Go figure. The girl who I spoke to was very rude about the whole thing too. Very disappointing unfortunately.
Spent $23 and received a piece of chicken on a chicken sandwich (which was good. Thats the only reason I gave 2 stars) and my wife got a Philly cheese steak which was horrible. Never again!
I placed an order online for delivery, It said it would be about 45 minutes, an hour and 10 minutes later I called and the girl answered "Steak Express North, please hold " I was put on hold for a few minutes and when she returned I explained to her that I was just making sure that my order had gone through, She said it should be there in the next 20 minutes, We are super busy. Usually this place is pretty punctual, but today I am disappointed.
The cashier up front Hali is really rude and not compassionate at all. Really hope she can have more empathy for customers up front and on the phone. For my first experience here, it really left a sour taste and will be trying the south location next time.
I ordered a salad and a side of broccoli. Took an hour and almost 20 min to deliver. Called 3 times to see if it was EVER coming. Finally cancelled the order. Different excuse every time I called. Had been in jury duty all day and was already in my pajamas so I had to get dressed and go get food elsewhere. Epic fail Steak Express.
I have always loved to order from here I’ve ordered it for years! The food isn’t always perfect but nowhere is. Here recently I wanted to surprise my husband with food at work, he’d had a really bad day and thought it would cheer his up! When the lady went to drop off the food she told him she couldn’t give him the food(I already paid for) without him having the card I paid with? I’ve ordered for YEARS and have NEVER had ANYONE ask me for the card I ordered with!! She threw a huge fit about giving him the food but finally did, I was completely let down. His day went from bad to worse due to a situation that is ridiculous. How are you suppose to surprise people or do anything nice for anyone if that’s how you run a business? The food is paid for and I know where I sent it, I just don’t understand why it was such a huge deal? His name was on the order OUR last name was on the order. If it’s been a policy there, then maybe it should have been reinforced years ago not just randomly one day. SIDE NOTE: I ordered food again and no one asked for my card!
These two stars are not for the food, it was delicious!! Poor customer service!! I called immediately after opening to place a lunch order for my co workers. I was quoted delivery of 45 to 60 minutes. After we did not receive our order after 90 minutes we called for status. We were told they are very busy and hung up on. Same thing after 2 hours. Our food finally arrives 2 hours and 15 minutes after placing the order. Turns out they received more than one order from within my building so to cut down on driving costs, they held them and delivered at once. That is fine, I understand, but communicate with your customers rather than disregard.
The food was good BUT how do employees not know or see that the lettuce was BROWN. Even a color blinded individual could see that a mile away. Such a shame that people pay their hard earned money only to receive this quality of service. Perhaps people shouldn’t pay until the quality of the order is seen. Such a shame that no cares and the job can’t be that hard.
I have actually quit going to steak Express because the team of employees they had there at one time were great. They were very considerate, courteous, and friendly. The cook was an excellent cook exactly how to make the meat juicy and flavorful all of a sudden the next time I went in there, they had a whole new crew the manager from what I understand fired the whole crew so when I did order something, it was dry dry dry the meat was so dry. It just crumbled apart like dirt. I have just came back from out of town and I’m wanting a hamburger and debating whether or not to go by and see if it’s changed at all. Let you all know if I did go by.
I order from here 2-3x a month & spend about $40-$50 each time. Lately, I've noticed the quality of the food has gone WAY down. My steak has been overcooked the last 3 times I ordered. Last time I got the wrong drinks, today I ordered extra cheese on my husband's burger (which was burned) & three steak sauces. I was charged for both. I didn't receive the extra cheese & I got 3 portion cups of what I assume is steak sauce... funny thing is, they have nothing in them. Like not even a quarter of a portion per cup. I poured all 3 into one & it's half full. Not to mention I have a $10 rewards credit that the person taking my order didn't apply, the app doesn't work so I have to call to order... I'm not impressed. I'm debating just finding another place to go for my steak meals. Honestly, the delivery driver was the best part of the experience, dont know his name, older man in a little red truck... he's very kind & always gets my food to me quickly. *I will upload a photo of the steak sauce*
We ordered 2 ribeye steaks which were tough as a leather boot. You can’t wrap hot steaks in foil. They were both cooked to medium well instead of medium. No fat on the meat so it was just dry. Everything else was great. Potato, cheesecake, and amazing mushrooms and onions. Please learn how to cook a proper steak.
This is the worst place to go looking for steak or any kind of food. 1. The staff is very unwelcoming and do not show any form of good customer . 2. I ordered sirloin steak and that was the most tasteless peace of meat that one can ever have from this place . I requested it to be well done and instead they packed for me a burnt peace of meat . Its not seasoned at all and thus lacks any form of taste . 3. The kitchen is messy . The staff is dressed as though in a bar than a kitchen . I just feel like i wasted my money and i would advise anyone not to go the same route . Its not worth it . If you need steak , go to a real steak house .
My client ordered steak tips but he couldn't remember which one so this one is 16mins away from him. I get too window an older man was rude I said my client placed an order he said no shut the window I said do you have another streak express he said down the road shut the window.
The food was not prepared well and the service was the worst I have had in a very long time. After waiting on my food for over an hour, it was finally delivered without the entire order. I then waited two more hours for them to bring the remainder of the order. First and last time for me to eat here, and I do not recommend it!
Came in to place to go order. Got home to discover order was wrong. Returned to get correct order without apology or any offer to make it right. Waited another 15-20 minutes even thought I called ahead of time to explain incorrect order. Really! I am not looking for freebies but seriously not even and I’m sorry.
The staff was very rude and since they did not repeat my order back to me, I had no idea they took it down wrong until I got home and it was wrong! I did not even get an apology and was charged for my correct food since I had left the store. Worst customer service I have ever received from a food place and do not want to ever return! My 1st time coming. I did my order. They asked if i want to get a free tea with my order. Took my order of what kind of tea. A lady comes in and gives her her tea while I have to wait till order is done. I'm not gonna come here again bc it was a one time deal. Lost my business.

My daughter-in-law ordered some steaks for me and herself,some so called chicken fries my steak actually sounded like I was cutting cardboard. Baked patato was great as was the biscuit I guess those two items were the highlight of our meal. Won't be eating here again.
The jumbo grilled shrimp platter came with a whole 5 tiny ass shrimp, my hamburger steak with gravy was the dryest thing I have ever eaten, my buddy got the burger and it was semi decent. This place is overpriced and needs to rethink it menu to get better portions because it was a rip off. I threw the menu that came in the bag in the trash, will never go back
Order from this location , while in the hospital here with my son trying to give my family a good meal. 85.00 dollar order made wrong ,steak was very dry no loaded bake potato stuff no salads called the manager of store and try to let her no what was going on but she wanted to argue with me . she said she couldnt refunded me for my steak tips or even try to make to make it right.she really has very bad customer services i have been a manager now 15 years this exactly why the restaurant industry has a bad name .i will make sure and never eat here again . i would like to speak to dm of this location no reciept was given at all
Management is rude and needs to be retrained in customer service. The online special stated we get a sirloin for 2 that came with 2 drinks, I called to let them know we wanted sweet teas with our order, the lady said the special we had didn't come with teas, but the online special clearly started teas. I spoke with a manager named Mark and instead of just honoring the online special he implied I was a lier and no such offer existed.....I then asked for an refund and I would take my business elsewhere, he told me to come up there and tell him that in person, and said he would void the order and hung up on me. I called back and asked for a receipt saying my order was voided and I was refunded, he said he would fax it to me in an sarcastic tone, I asked if I could get an email copy he said he would try and get it to me. Terrible service I will never order from there again!
Went there for half price cheese burgers got there just a little after 6 ( My son got out out band late and we rushed to get there on time ) One girl said "Not a problem" then the manager said "no". It's not like they were throwing half price burger out the door. They were doing nothing. What a bunch of inconsiderate £¥€÷%. What two half price burgers is going to bankrupt the company. She could have very easily HELPED us out BIT SHE DIDN'T. REALLY TERRIBLE PEOPLE SKILLS. I just hate when a business treats you like $$$$ and not a person. This place has the worst customer service! First of all they do not answer their phone and they have delivered my food twice to the wrong address and didn’t want to give me my money back or give me the food I paid for. How crazy is that!
I ordered from here and they forgot my kids cheese burger when I called back to ask about the burger the lady on the phone said she had seen them take the burger off the grill being very rude about it as if I was just trying to get a free meal they finally came with the burger the driver had forgotten it when I called back to talk to the manager about the lady who was being rude. Turns out she's the manager she a tried to flip things around still being very rude I asked to talk to a different manager she claimed to be the General manager so I called the other steak express and it Turns out she lied about being general manager. this expirience makes me never want to order from here AGAIN the liars name is Danny . The worse Ribeye I have ever had ! I have never had so much fat. We got the medium Ribeye and the Shrimp plate. The shrimp comes with 5 scampi style medium sized shrimp with a very fishy smell. I called and spoke to the manager that said if we had half of the steak left they could cook us another one. I have 3/4 of the steak to give them back when they arrive . At this point My hunger is gone.
Ordered food for delivery at 6:30 and was told it would be 45 minutes to 1 hour for delivery. Called after waiting 1 hour 15minutes wondering where it was. I was told it was o it's way. Called back at the 1:30 minute mark (cause I am 5 minutes from there) and I was told they were calling the driver, then another woman came on the phone stating they lost my order and to redo it would be another 45 minutes. Then another woman stating she was the manager, said the food just came off the line and it would be another 30 minutes for delivery. I explained to her of I know it would have been 2 hours I would never have ordered. Icancelled my order of over $80. The "manager" didn't care. I will not ever eat or order from here again and I will tell everyone I know how this experience was. It's not a mixup when you are lied to 5 times and then the "manager" is rude to you because of their ongoing mistakes.
Went in to make my order, paid, then the person taking our ordered said it would be about 15-20 minutes. I totally respect that time frame to make fresh food. I go in ~20 minutes later and they said it will be about 15 minutes. Total time took almost an hour. As we sit in the car in front of the build I can see the employees drinking there drink over other peoples food, and hold the phone with tongs that may be handling food... Sadley I doubt I will eat from this steak express again.
They told me my order would take 45 minutes to get here. It took an hour and a half and my order was wrong. Called about that and the girl on the phone hung up on me. Opened the steaks and one was a juicy delicious looking steak and the other looked old and dry and was actually two little pieces of steak. I called about this and the manager didn’t believe me until I sent a picture. Then she offered to replace the steak and that it would take 20 minutes to get here. It’s now been another hour and it’s still not here. The steak we do have is flavorless and has a lot of fat. The salad containers were open when they arrived and half filled. I’m realy disappointed because I’ve heard such good things about this place and considering the fact that they charged me about $50 for subpar food that I’ve waited over 2 hours for. Definitely will not order again and definitely will not recommend and would probably dissuade anyone from ordering from Steak Express in the future
I ordered over the phone I go pick it up and they say they never got an order from me. Them she says someone else got my order because they “willingly gave it to them” SERIOUSLY?! Why would you give my order to someone else just because they ask for it just because they are mad ? Your logic makes no sense to me… and plus you wanted us to wait again for our food ?. Instead of getting one angry customer now you get a really bad review for bad customer service and bad way of handling situations. Never going here again. To everyone, really don’t waste your time
We've been ordering from the south location of Steak Express for a while now, and have had a few issues with drivers forgetting items in our order. This hasn't been that big a deal, but on our most recent order they forgot extra rolls that we paid for. Our driver reluctantly said he would go, grab them, and bring it back. After 40 minutes without our food, I called the location and spoke with the manager. Jake, the manager, interrupted me mid-sentence. He told me it was the driver's fault, that he should be on his way to us, and hung up on me. Both the driver and manager were rude and acted put out for bringing us items that we paid for. Though these were low cost items, they were things that we paid for and politely requested. It is now 15 minutes before Steak Express closes (and 2 hours after we made our order), and we haven't received all the items we paid for. No business should operate this way and stay in business
The experience of a business starts from the moment a customer decides to use their services. This place has a person manning their window who needs to be retrained in customer service WITH A FRIENDLY OUTLOOK AND TO USE A SMILE. This business not only forgot items I paid for but on my return if that young man could have been ruder, he was. On my calling to ask to speak with the manager he put me on hold and never returned, called again and same response, no choice but to wait as he stated and several minutes again no answer. In fact I was hung up and upon my calling back it was a busy signal. Definitely wish I could have rated no star at all but this site makes you choose.
I ordered as a birthday dinner for husband. Steak tips tasted old and were way over cooked. potato was under cooked. Terrible experience. This company has gone down hill. For the price we paid, it really should have been better.
Changing review, lousy food and service waste of 40 bucks if I could do a charge back with my bank would most definitely do. When made order told to cook both stakes rare got stake well done service at window rude. This is how you loose customers.
We just ordered from here and it was awful they forgot to give us our dressing for the salads and my husbands butter and toppings for his baked potato. Both of our steaks were dry and our “salad” was just lettuce nothing else. We used to love ordering from here but not anymore and definitely not worth $50.
We have ordered from here for years but today, the service was as bad as the food. Spoke to the manager from the location we usually order from because our baked potatoes were hard on the inside still that we had to stick them in the microwave to finish cooking. Our salad was old and couldn't be salvaged but upon speaking to the manager, her attitude about the whole thing was like, " oh well..deal with it". We did get credit for the potatoes and salads but still, after paying over $50 at least an I'm sorry would've made some difference. Yeah, maybe they don't need my services of buying their food anymore. Very disappointed
I only want to write reviews when its good news. But I guess I am going to have to break my rule here. I ordered for the first time in 10 months last Sunday night. 2 Small Rib eye Steak Entrees Medium with loaded bake. In other words both meals identical for me and my son. It all was perfect. I even ordered a dozen extra rolls. Always loved em cause they are usually always soft and fresh like extra fresh. Enjoyed it all so much that we decided we would re order the exact same order again tonight. So I went on line and placed the order. It always took about an hour and a half to get it here as it also did this last Sunday night. But tonight it seem like it showed up in 30 minutes. I was happy, but surprised. Well I know why I was correct to be suspicious of the immediate delivery time. The steaks look like they were slapped on the grill for 30 seconds. They were to be medium cooked but they looked and tasted raw. And tough like skirt steak not rib eye quality. Ok I don't think that we are that far in to the future that we are paying 80 dollars for strip steak. I can stand getting a bad cook hamburger It doesn't cost 80 bucks. But whoever blatantly showed this lack of respect for one of the best meats you can get, didn't even care to do a decent job trying to cook these. I'm not disappointed that I'm out 80 bucks tonight. I'm disappointed that my steak appetite was trashed on.
Been going to this location for awhile and today I’m still in disbelief. I had accidentally ordered at the other location and went to pick up at our usual location , when got there I called the other location to cancel the order, the girl who answered was very nice and said she would cancel the order. And once we ordered with the white guy with beard and glasses, he literally told us that he was not going to make our order and we will need to go to other location and pick it up because he was not going to make it. We told him the other location has cancelled the order and he said I’ll call that store back and tell them your going to go pick it up , I’m not going to make it and they make it and waste food. He kept refusing to make our order and so we left and took our business somewhere else where their customer service was outstanding. With him refusing our service , at the end no one got paid 51.** for the family meal deal. He needs training on working in the window. This store does not need ⭐️ but in order to post my review I needed to give them a ⭐️
Over the years we've eaten Steak Express a few times a year and last night was the last time. We ordered a meal for two, one steak, the other shrimp. The shrimp was inedible. It could not be chewed up. The steak was tough. It was a waste of money, especially for the shrimp. We could have spent our money anywhere and we chose Steak Express. We called specifically about the shrimp and the manager did not apologize for the food, refused to issue any credit, and blamed it on Walmart. This was not a Walmart issue, it was a quality control issue. We won't return.
Didnt even get it delivered so it wasn't the driver's fault we picked it up. The rolls weren't even warmed up it was like straight from the bag, the baked potato was cold, the toppings for the potato were a lil bag of cheese that smelled like it gone bad and some raw bacon bits that were cold, I ordered a steak medium and it was rare and so tough and rubbery couldn't even chew it the freakin salad was the only good thing and the shrimp smelled like it had gone bad as well it tasted horrible, spent $50 to only eat the potato (after I warmed it myself and added my OWN toppings) and the salad. 1st time going and I will never again go back.
I usually never make a fuss, but I have been ordering here for years. The last 8 months have been horrible. Originally I thought it was a bad night, but since then, it's been 3 horrible steak meals in a row. I bet if they watched the grill as much as they hung outside with friends, I might actually get a medium rare steak unstead of burnt. The last 3 orders were unedible, so I fed them to the dogs. I will never order from them again.. so disappointed, they used to be fantastic.
Be Ware...if you don't tip them, than something will be missing from your order, they ran out of something or food presentation will be low class looking. Salad was just thrown together no tomato half filled burnt over cooked potatoes, no steak sauce (Steak express, and no steak sauce,Wow)!!.... Very disappointing ,will not be going back...... Expected much more from them....
Staff was rude, slammed the window multiple times while we were trying to say something (because she kept leaving things off the order we had paid for), repeatedly forgot items and we had to come back around the building for them (thankfully we hadn't left). When we got back with our food the food was mostly cold even though we were there before the pickup time arranged and the food was cooked well done when they were both suppose to be rare and medium rare. When we tried to call and see what a solution could be (bring it back and exchange etc) the same person answered the phone in the rudest voice and left us on an eternal hold when we asked to speak to someone else so we finally hung up. I wouldn't have left a review but after being treated so rudely this was ridiculous.
Rude and sarcastic employees. I placed an order after 3 weeks of my last order of 4 steak tip dinners. Totaled to about $80. All my salads were slimy and rolls cold and hard. I called immediately to let them know that they probably shouldn’t serve the salads because they were bad. The manager I believe her name was Katie offered to compensate us on our next order with 15% off. Cool. Then we call to order our next order and rude employee explains that they can only give us 15% off individual entrees and not a steak tips for 2. I explain that this was not what we were told. He goes on to say this is what I’m telling you and your not listening” he tells me. Very rude and sarcastically. I ask to speak with the manager who agrees she remembers her offer and proceeds to say but we cannot give it to you on the meal deals. So I say we’ll just give me 2 steak til dinners then. Which she says okay. Cost $11 dollars more then the meal deal. So basically I wasn’t going to get compensated for my slimy salads. So I go on to say never mind I don’t want to order and she hangs up on me without a word. Just rude!!!
We ordered 2 sirloin steak lunches, well done. Everything was good except for the steaks. They were cold, hard, and rubbery. My husband wanted to take them back but since we'd already cut into them I was reluctant and decided not to. He called and explained to the person that answered. He told my husband that was because we ordered well done. We've had well done steaks in other restaurants and they were tender. We won't recommend this place.
Not sure who the guy was i talked to. But he was beyond RUDE!. I order here when my husband & I are home but due this guy. I think we may order elsewhere. Being rude & blaming others is NOT a way to do business.
I ordered the sirloin and steak was tough and smelled rotten so I call and manager was rude and basically said I was lying he cooked it himself well sir feed that to your family I bet you won't and the manager is horrible to a customer that provides them with business but will not be returning at all this place needs new management until new management comes you lost a faithful customer!!!! Don't buy sirloin s here at this location they are very tough and smell rotten!!!!!
Food is never cooked well. Treat customers horribly. Given them so many chances.
I have never been so disrespected and treated so poorly by a business while placing an order. I will never eat here or order for someone else at this establishment again and from the other poster it's not just me. Haven't had this problem here til tonight and the other Steak Express is so nice and thankfully I can give them my business instead.
Shop here a lot! At least once a week, probably more. Had an experience with Sean today that will probably end me ordering from the North Lubbock store again. Ordered my usual meal, cheese burger and chips, I’m not a tea drinker so I usually get a soda with a cup of ice. Today Sean says i have to pay for my cup of ice or he will give me their tiny styrofoam cup for free. I say I’d rather have the larger plastic cup that comes FREE with my meal if I order the FREE tea, because this is better for me while driving instead of me trying to keep filling the smaller cup. Sean says if he does that he has to charge me for the plastic cup full of ice. I explain to Sean that in all the years I have ordered here this has never happened. He states at me with his blanket look. So I try a more logical explanation and I ask Sean if I were to ask for the free tea that is offered with my order would you give it to me in the bigger plastic cup? Sean “yup” me “so then give me my free tea and I will poor it out in front of you and use the cup and ice for the Dr Pepper I ordered with my meal. Sean “sir we don’t have to do this” me “you’re right, I have never had poor service from this location before and I do have a choice where I shop” I guess I’m lucky Lubbock has two steak express location. I’m not checking to see if they are owned by the same people. That will make a difference :(
It's Sunday evening and a place an order for three large steak tips and a salmon dinner just after 6:00 p.m. my daughter sends me a text at 6:19 to ask how much longer it would be and I told her that I was told it would be about 15 minutes so I should be getting my food anytime..... I got handed my food at 7:10. I was told it was the salmon that caused the meal to take over an hour to prepare which is nothing more than them messing up and not admitting to their mistake So How cold are my steak tips going to be and how soon will I ever go back to that location
