I go there almost every day. Workers are very nice. It takes awhile in line but they make it fresh from coffee to fresh food. Worth waiting. Try the gouda bacon and egg 😉.
My favorite Starbucks in Lubbock. The staff is very friendly. The coffee and food are always fresh and amazing. They are also very fast compared to others Starbucks I have visited.
Have been placing mobile drink orders for in store pick up in the AM because it is a whole lot faster than the drive thru. Staff is busy working hard and still very courteous and friendly.
Fast, efficient, great communication. I dont go here often but to get some hot cocoa at times. Kinda miss the peppermint or toasted marshmallow flavor options.
This is the most frequent Starbucks where I like to go. Baristas are very nice in this location! I love the breakfast sandwidch, coffee and the green tea! A good place to study, to work, to meet friends, and to relax. Highly recommend!
My memory on names had been a blur lately but this location was so awesome this past Saturday as I treated my daughter to Starbucks while trying to get ready for her 8th grade banquet. He was so awesome at the window keep up the good attitude.
Always the best we have so many options now. But Starbucks can make anything you want they are consistently there. You know what your getting.
Got a venti peppermint mocha latte with no foam and no whip. The person that took my order was not friendly and acted like it was trouble to get my order. But the person at the window was friendly.

I just want to say that Marcus is one of the kindest souls I've ever met and made the BEST green tea frap I've ever had in my whole entire life I would give this place AND Marcus another 5 stars if I could 10/10 💯

I hate coffee, but just discovered the double chocolate chip frappuccino thanks to the nice lady at the drive thru at this location. Also love their pumpkin bread they have all year long.
I love this college town friendly store. Also Chelsea is amazing. Great job. Lots of discounts right now. 2 to 5 is buy one get one free grande iced drink containig expresso and iced. Ends july 3.

The barista Delilah is a ray of sunshine. Everytime I’ve been through they really make my whole day with their kindness.
Costumer service is always great in these places. You can always have the high expectations from these coffee shops. They are usually clean and aim at serving the costumer fast. The ambient is calm and the free wifi makes it a great spot to spend some time for pleasure or studying.
Marcus was an absolute doll. He is the sweetest soul and actually enjoys his job and serving customers. He customs made my drink and it did not disappoint!! Never been to Starbucks before but now I’m surely going to keep coming! Thank you Marcus and thank you team!!

Had my coffee ready promptly… though was slightly lukewarm after only sitting on the counter a few minutes.
I enjoyed the caramel frappuccino, and the tomato and mozzarella Panini bread that I ordered the other day. I'd go back.the people there were really friendly and that's one thing that I do look forward to going back to a certain place because of the people and great customer service.

I was working at tech stadium and went there almost every morning. I love these people, they always made me smile and made sure I got whatever I needed. Everyone on the staff did their job very well and this was the best Starbucks I been to so far! God bless you all :)
They were out of a specific blend I was interested in trying and the barista went out of her way to special make it for me. Outstanding example of guest service and a prime example of why I will be returning to this location. Always clean and every experience I've had at this location has been great!

Makes the best coffee in Lubbock amongst all other stores. It takes a lot for me to really enjoy my coffee and they make it perfect. Not many Starbucks employees can make European style coffee but these guys and gals do amazing every time. Thank you!
Literally love love love this location! The staff is great, & the coffee is always perfect! Even when they are super busy they still serve everything in a timely manner & with a smile! We have just recently moved to abernathy (30 miles away) but I'm still making my drive to this location because they make my coffee just right!:)
I love Starbuck's Java Chip Frappe. It is so good. The service there is great! It didn't take long to get mine today. I did go inside. So good that I got one yesterday and one today. Keep making the Java Chip Frappe and I will keep coming!
Since change in managers about 8 months ago, the service has improved markedly. I am an early morning semi-regular and it makes me feel good that many of them know my name and know my regular order. I enjoy my visits here.
I liked the nutty flavor of the pistachio latte. Be sure to swirl it around, because the syrup sank to the bottom. The staff were so nice when we asked them to turn the music down a little so we could talk
Wow! Great experience! The staff made my order very quickly. There was a wonderful redhead who must be the manager because her leadership skills are out of this world. 10/10 would go back.

This is my favorite Starbucks in Lubbock and that’s because of the employees there…it’s like they all used to work at Chik-fil-a because they are so friendly and accommodating. Don’t think I’ve ever had a wrong order here either.
This is my neighborhood Starbucks and they consistently deliver exceptional service with the best staff. Even when incredibly busy, they are firing on all cylinders to deliver for their customers. 💕

Adam suggested that I try a decafe vanilla latte with soy. I was extremely satisfied with my drink! I haven't been able to come by Starbucks in so long because of my allergies and sensitive stomach. It was nice to have someone suggest something to try. Thank you Adam! 😌
They didn't know the basic ingredients of their food which scared the quiznak out of my friend with peanut allergies. But the food and drinks were starbucks standard. It was also fairly late so we got the newbie shift aswell.

I love Starbucks. I would have given them 5 stars but the workers didn't bother to let us know our drinks were ready. She just left them on the counter, so we didn't know who's drinks they were. She didn't ask for our names or anything. Idk I'm just used to the Starbucks experience.
The service here kind of depends on the day. It's either really fast or a little too slow. If they get busy, they're slow (of course) but it feels like they can't handle the influx of orders. But the product is always quality, so it seems they choose to make sure their beverages are perfect rather than pushing out a bad product too fast. I like the location on 82nd and University. It's close to several other fast food places and Tinseltown Movies.
All the stars are for the morning crew. They are fast and very friendly. The afternoon people could use a coffee or 2. They are so slow if you're in a hurry in the afternoon. I just spent 17 minutes in the drive-through with only one person in front of me who ordered two cold drinks and I myself ordered two cold drinks.
Nice, friendly service. Baristas were very kind and attentive. They had run out of butter croissants, so they offered an alternative with the option to trade it for a different pastry in case I didn't like it. Also very quick. Will likely return when on that side of town.
Starbucks is Starbucks. If you like your coffee and their fare do you usually enjoy a visit. I just wanted a cup of coffee while I was waiting I asked the girl if they had any spray cleaner because my goggles are dusty. She told me they weren't allowed to further chemicals for free. I don't know what she meant by that, if you wanted me to tip her for some Windex or what but she didn't give me any. I didn't think it was a strange request but I guess it was she seemed almost offended by it. So I went to the bathroom and wash them I left the door open while I did it. A couple of the male employees peeked around the door to see what I was doing. I guess it's just cuz they're kids but it struck me estranged and I guess I struck them as strange.
Poor Starbucks. When they arrived in Lubbock they tried to train baristas. If there was a mistake, it was complimentary. Now, I often go for a cup of black coffee and they are "out right now but will brew some for me", or it's cold. The decline of a great empire.....
The quality of the coffee is really dependent on when you go. If you go during the morning or afternoon it's not bad. But for some reason during the evenings it takes a turn. I know it's supposed to be a standard recipe, but you can definitely taste the difference.
Service was great and my drink tasted amazing. The inside was a little dirty. Several tables that needed to wiped down. Also, the layout is such that the people in the drive thru block you in. Even if someone let me pull out, I was still stuck in the line and I had to wait for the drive thru line to move before I could leave.
Normal Starbucks have great service but this was 2nd visit where I was told to hold on since she was on microphone headset like I can tell. Just rude...seemed to not care that I came in.... walk in at 550am
The staff, although very nice, were unknowledgeable about products. I am not sure if Starbucks has different products from store to store in the same city or not. I ordered two drinks and two sandwiches. I asked for the bacon to be crispy. Unfortunately, the bread of both sandwiches were burnt which made them hard and tough to eat. I was disappointed in the food which is usually better than this. The drinks were good.
Ive been going to this Starbucks for years and over the last few months it has went downhill. I’m not sure if they are just constantly training new employees or what but they customer service is really lacking. Orders have been wrong and the customer service just isn’t there anymore. It is saving me money though because I’ve started just making my own coffee in the mornings. I realize a lot of places are suffering due to Covid and I kept going back to this location even though it wasn’t great but a person can only take so much before they give up on a spot. I hope they can bounce back from whatever situation they have themselves in.
Just seems theyre a bit too proud of their coffee. If it were up to me id take em down a peg so their prices would come down a bit. Since when is coffee only for the rich n famous. I dont drink it anymore out of my price range. And the kids running them generally act like theyre serving gold jewelry. Meh!
Great outlets to people on laptops ratio but there's one employee who's so bad I fear getting him. I've been here many times and I once ordered a coffee, to which he handed me a coffee that was clearly left by some thoughtless customer and charged me. It was cold and I thought it was hilarious but most other people would be pissed. This was only one of many bad experiences with him. I feel it would be rude to use his name by you'll know if you get him.
Only doing a 3 star. Which typically since I go here almost every day and get the SAME drink. This has happened a few times where the sweetener wasn’t put in, I call they replace no big deal! The problems I have is every time I am questioned and told how that’s how this drink taste. I ONLY GET THE EXACT SAME THING. I can show all receipts. Please stop allowing your workers to question people spending $10 on coffee!! To be told “have you a had this before bc we made it right” if it was made right I would have drank it instead of wasting time taking you the FULL one to get it remade correctly. Cmon now.
Not a bad location, but I've experienced annoyances with the staff here. Some seem purposefully slow at times, and incoherent. I asked for a rag to clean my table. It took three tries from the employee in probably two whole minutes to get this done. When I first showed up, the same employee was standing there not serving me for about thirty seconds, until the store manager walked out, and then it was instant service. (The manager seems very nice and good) I think the employee had some individual motivation for providing poor service...
We waited and waited on our coffee and I was about to ask why we were waiting when I heard one employee ask the other one why she hadn’t made them yet and the second employee said “I’m not a fan of making those.”
Honestly this place would have stole a solid four stars. however, the longest time staff was inconsistent Thanks to “Erin with an E”always looking out for each and every Starbucks customer. Every morning is a considerable great morning when she’s on staff that day…
Mediocre service last night. I was given a nasty look by the blonde barista as if I had no idea what I was talking about when I just simply (and politely) asked where I could pick up my order. As a former food industry worker, I make every effort to visit any dining establishment with an attitude that is sympathetic towards servers and baristas, but when you are made to feel stupid by them due to their own negligence (they forgot one of my drink orders) and then made to feel guilty that you can not even complain to said nasty barista (because every food service industry seems to be a victim nowadays) then I lose that sympathy. Maybe some of the staff here should check their own attitudes before they walk into the threshold of that business. I did NOT go in to be treated like some jackass.
Today I went through the drive through and received quick service, yay! However, when we went to pay, the barista uttered not.a.word. No thanks, you're welcome, have a good one, how's your day. Nothing! Drinks are good but 80% ice is ridiculous. Not worth it.
Lately had been a terrible experience takes forever in drive thru line and are always out of food items. Think they need a better management team who can order enough of a product since Starbucks makes more in a day than most businesses can in a year

My third Starbuck's...and the coffee was so bitter. 😝 still. I ask for coffee with half n half. Pour the half n half in until it make a swirl on the top. Never had the problem before. It'll be a long time before I get coffee and a breakfast sandwich (which was good) again.
I've been coming to this location for going on two years now. The staff at this location are always extremely nice at the drive through. I had to take a starbies break for about 4 or 5 months, came back, and can't seem to get my drink made correctly. I even started asking for an extra pump (or 2!) of the white chocolate because it's coming out just tasting like milk, and it hasn't been happening (usually there's a ring of the syrup at the bottom and it's listed on the sticker). This would happen every now and again before my hiatus, but it's been almost every service these past few months. Pretty disappointing, especially since there's an extra charge for add ons.
Taken an order and drove up to pay and the barista was very rude. She then said they were out of strawberry puree but she could still make the drink without it. Which she did. Ugly plain drink
There is a customer in this starbucks at night who is on his phone all the time talking extremely loud and uses the Starbucks phone. It's dirty. That customer always takes up two tables with all his stuff and the place is cramped already. Makes it even more uncomfortable when that customer is yelling at his phone about financial problems. It is better just to go through the drive thru at night if you plan on choosing this starbucks.
My husband's frap tasted like flavored water with a hint of chocolate and mine tasted like burnt milk or coffee. The baristas were more inclined to working the drive thru while "getting around" to the customers inside. I wouldn't recommend this particular location. Customers had to go up to the counter and guess which drink belonged to them because some of the drinks didn't have a sticker.
So, went for my usual afternoon Nitro cold brew. Come to find out there's no specials today on national coffee day. What coffee joint does not have specials on national coffee day??? Even Convenience stores and other coffee joints are running specials today, SMH!
Ordered Grande brewed coffee with half and half and 2 sugars, through drive through. Had to repeat and remind the barrista of my order, he appeared very distracted. Got room temperature coffee without sugar.
I wish I could give 0 stars. This place is a joke. Maybe it wouldn't take 30 minutes to get a drink if the employees would stay off their phones. Management is extremely rude! I visit this location all of the time but this will be the last!!!
Being generous with ONE star! I stopped by this location as I had to get tires at the Discount Tire next door, I was already under stress because my tire blew up on me on the road. I entered this shop with my service dog just to buy one coffee and the manager's (Marcus) greeting was you can't get in with the dog... out loud! There was one custumer sitting and obviously I couldn't go via the drive through because my car was being worked on!... Seriously, is this the way you treat clients with service dogs?! There is a reason I have my dog with me all the time, that felt like discrimination!
I usually love this location and Starbucks as a whole but this right here is unacceptable. I went through the drive and got my usual, triple shot hot white choc mocha. I paid $6.12 for half a damn coffee, not ok! This is not the first time either, but this has been the worst one. I guarantee that there was NOT an extra shot either, I can taste the difference. Just frustrated.
This Starbucks made my order wrong twice. Then argued with me that it is by the barista making it "that's how it is made" I order this drink the same way every time at every Starbucks but this one is "different" I guess 👀
I didn't know it was okay to wait on the SECOND person in line if they're a "usual" and you already know their freaking order! Because that's exactly what happened this morning! First, I love how I almost broke my neck because the floors were being mopped and were super wet, with not 1 "Caution-wet floor" sign up at all! The other 2 employees did greet me & say they would be right with me---ok cool! But after standing in line for 2-3 minutes, another chick stops mopping the floor and proceeded to wait on the guy standing BEHIND me who had JUST walked through the freaking door & says "dark roast coffee sir?" And I'm standing there like, HELLOOOOO IDIOT! Am I invisible?!!! Like really people?!!! This is what we do now? Its 10 hrs later and I am still LIVID!!! If you want TERRIBLE customer service, then this is the perfect location to ruin your day!
Went in uniform because I had drill. What a mistake. Went inside because there were 6 cars in the drive thru and I was in a hurry. Ordered our coffees and sat down to wait. At least 8 cars drive through. A very tall older gentleman in a cowboy hat walks in orders his drink and comes over to talk to my friend and I. He thanks us sincerely for our service, grabs his drink which was ready right after he finished thanking us and left. I go up to the people at the counter(there were at least 6 people working, 3 just standing there)and ask where my drinks are. They grab them from the drive thru waiting table and hand them to us with a sorry, no offer for a discount, muffin or anything not that I would take it. Either the lady at the front doesn't like military or my camo uniform worked so well they forgot I was there. Never again. Yummy extra cold pumpkin spice latte though. :/
Absolutely the Worst Starbucks in Lubbock. For starters, they cannot keep their Nitro Cold Brew machine working for more than one day, and have continued to have the same problem for over a year with it breaking down constantly. They always take Extremely long in their drive through, and do not make the drinks well at all at this location. This store is Failing across the board, and has been for a Very long time. And management has done nothing about it. Do Not Go Here!
This is the worst Starbucks in Lubbock. I've stopped here twice and both times the service was subpar. My coffee was made incorrectly, the drive through staff did not pay attention, and I had to wait an extended period of time at the window while my drink was sitting on the ledge.
Your window help is incredibly rude. I tried calling the location and no one answered the phone. I was handed a coffee and had it in my vehicle and was told to “give it back” it belonged to someone else. They tried to not give us the main food item we ordered. There was not a thank you or anything. I didn’t even get a receipt. If I had tasted my coffee I would have sent it back I sat in line forever for some $5 watered down weak coffee. Not Impressed. Y’all need some training on how to treat your overpaying customers.
I asked for a soy caramel macchiato and got milk. Just went inside to get it redone. The drive thru lady had such a cruddy attitude and told me to throw it away. No reason to be rude I just can’t have milk. Most Starbucks have pretty good service. She was nice when I tipped her at the window and called me dear. It’s ok to admit it wasn’t done right and just redo it.
As someone who has ordered many times from Starbucks all over the country this was by far my worst experience ever. Moreover, specifically at THIS location. Walked into pick-up my mobile order, and I was simply not acknowledged by any of the employees when at the counter. It was after about a minute an employee made subtle eye contact with me, and I waved to gain their attention. I do understand that Starbucks typically stay busy. However, not all of the employees were busy as 3 of them were standing together and quietly speaking to each other. When finally acknowledged I was asked what my order was, and then I was handed all of my drinks without being asked if I needed a drink carrier. I was one individual with 4 drinks. It would only make sense for the employee to ask the customer if they need a carrier. Lastly, there was a sandwich in my order, and I was not given my sandwich that was included in my order. I had to ask the individual that was moping the vicinity if he could check to see if my sandwich was ready, because the employees that were at the counter were then not available to assist anymore due to being elsewhere. And, the individual moping didn’t say a single word to me. When I asked him if he could check on my sandwich, he simply sighed and walked away... Which, to my surprise he went to actually grab my sandwich and brought it to me. But, I say surprised, because he never once said a word to me or even truly looked at me. To encompass this experience: employees DEFINITELY lack customer service skills, rude employees, and no sense of urgency/assisting.
I ordered 6 drinks and 8 bakery items for our office. Two different drink were made incorrectly. Caramel Frap with no caramel macchiato no caramel when I called and asked for a refund on these two drinks I was told no caramel is 80 cents. The girl manager that is there on On Tuesday mornings should not be working there. I will be escalating this. I come to this location daily and have never had this problem.
I am done going to Starbucks or any coffee shop due to their relentless pressure for you to tip at the DRIVE THRU lol . Can you not put your machine in my face with the "How much you want to tip" screen on it? I mean if I was inside and someone kept coming to my table to refill my coffee well that would be different but at the drive through? I mean your drive through is no different than any other fast food drive through, does burger king ask for tips at the drive through? No of course not. I purchased my own espresso machine and will stay far away from these places until the tipping nonsense has stopped.
Was there a couple days ago and it was very slow with them out of basically all their food. Slight bummer but it happens. The big thing was i was behind the car currently ordering. For that car to order then me and then get my drink and leave was about 40 minutes. It was decent coffee but if your in a rush as a student go elsewhere.
This is the worst Starbucks in Lubbock. I made two different orders with two different barristers (came in to study… ordered once to get me started and ordered again when I was done studying). Both people were rude, impatient, and short. Throughout my stay I also overheard them being rude and short to other customers. On top of that, the coffee was watered down.
EVERY time I mobile order something at this location they always forget my food. I have been ordering the same drink and 4/5 times it's so different from what I've received before. I order the same exact drink and it's made different every time. How does that make sense? I talked to the lady and she was so rude saying that it's the amount of pumps and was CLEARLY not listening to what I was saying. I order the same amount of pumps of syrups, how is it my pumps? she wrote me off, ignored me and kept justifying the way she made my drinks. When I order the same drink there needs to be some consistency. I have always had problems with this Starbucks and only go to this one because it's close to my house. There needs to be a change in staffing for sure.
Customer service was terrible. I placed a mobile order and when I get to the window the lady couldn’t find the order. I tell her my name and she says we don’t have an order for that name. What did you order. I told her my order and she says that’s for Trenton I said oh that must be it cause my name is Treyton. She said well that’s not what it says so you need to change the name on your side so you can have it right next time. So there I go pulling up to the window super confused cause I’ve never had this problem before. As I get to the window she continues to lecture me on my name telling me I need to change it because if they are busy they aren’t going to know what drink to give me if I’m giving them the wrong name. She hands me my drink and it clearly says Treyton. I tell her see that is my name you just weren’t reading it correctly so she says oh nvm that is your name, have a good one and walks off. As if I haven’t known my own name for the past 30 years. This definitely could have gone way different without the entire rude commentary from the worker. Will not be back to this location.
This morning I visited the Starbucks closest to my home and had an extremely disappointing experience that I feel is important for management to be aware of. I order the same drink almost daily: an iced quad shot of black espresso with three pumps of pumpkin sauce, half and half cream, pumpkin cream cold foam on top, and cinnamon powder. Other Starbucks locations prepare it correctly without issue, the drink is blended, balanced, and the foam sits properly on top. At this store, however, the drink was presented completely unblended. The pumpkin sauce was sitting untouched at the bottom, the espresso floating above it, the milk layered separately, and the “foam” was so watery it dissolved into the milk. When I pointed out that it didn’t look right and that the quality and consistency were off, I was met with resistance instead of understanding. A woman named Alex (the manager on duty) came to the window and insisted the drink was made “exactly as ordered,” dismissing the fact that it was not prepared to Starbucks’ usual standard. When I said I would be fine with it being remade or a refund if that was an issue; she acted annoyed. When I finally agreed to have it remade, she slammed the drive-thru window in my face while I was saying “thank you.” When she returned, she seemed irritated and defensive. At that point I declined the remake, because I did not feel comfortable receiving a drink from someone who was openly hostile toward me. I requested a refund instead and went to another location, where the drink was made correctly without issue. What concerns me most is that this does not appear to be an isolated incident. Based on the reviews of this location, it seems like management is allowing poor service and negative attitudes to continue across multiple employees. This reflects a larger problem with oversight and leadership. It also seems like service quality here depends on whether a customer tips or spends extra energy “befriending” the baristas. I should not have to overly explain myself, flatter staff, or leave a tip before my drink is made just to be treated respectfully and receive a properly prepared order. I tip when I receive good service, not before. If the expectation is that customers must tip upfront to avoid being treated poorly, that is unacceptable and contrary to Starbucks’ brand values. This behavior was unprofessional, disrespectful, and unacceptable. Especially coming from a manager representing your brand. Starbucks employees are usually friendly, understanding, and solution oriented, which is why this experience stood out so negatively. I strongly believe Alex should not be in a management role if this is how she chooses to treat paying customers. Her behavior not only ruined my experience but also reflected poorly on Starbucks as a whole. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope this feedback is taken seriously so that future customers don’t have to go through the same treatment. & a huge thank you to the staff at the 2414 Mac Davis location who never disappoints!
I placed a mobile order when I was getting gas down the street. Then I drove over, waiting in line behind about 5 cars, got to the window, and got yelled at for placing a mobile order and getting in line too quick. Then the same lady yelled at me again when she brought my drinks. Absolutely ridiculous. She would not even let me get a word in. I will not be back to this one.
This lady that was taking our order seemed very irritated and she seemed like she wanted us to hurry up and order she wasn’t very happy that we were taking long to order because we were deciding what we want she was a white girl and very rude.
I come here often but lately this location is consistently slow and unfriendly. On my last visit, the barista named Zion handed me my drink with, ‘Have a nice day… or don’t.’ Whether it was a joke or not, it felt rude and unprofessional. Starbucks is usually welcoming, but this store needs improvement.”
The lady that works today at the drive through didn't know what half and half black tea was. Didn't give good customer service after I said thank you. Rude
This places sucks. They always short me on a drink and don’t fix the situation. I get a medium Frappuccino put into a large cup with four shots of espresso. I watch them dump the rest of the Frappuccino in the sink when the drink is only 3/4 of the way full I say something but they just look at me. This photo is right when I got to my car.
This is the rudest Starbucks I’ve ever been to, I went to it because it’s the closest to my house and this will be the last time I go. The manager of the Starbucks on 98th and Quaker needs to come over to this location and maybe train that manager and staff on efficiency, kindness and knowing a smile once in a while isn’t that hard not acting like a customer is a bother. The staff at this location are just rude
