Bar típico de barrio en pleno centro, nos llamó la atención y paramos a tomar unas cañas. Nos sorprendieron con una buena tapa a cuenta de la casa. Además pedimos los mejillones tigre, que sin duda recomiendo, y el bocadillo de calamares. El camarero muy atento y rápido. Recomendable para ir a comer/tomar unas tapas, tal vez no tanto para beber, ya que el precio de la consumición es algo elevado.

Mira voy a ser sincero, es el mejor secreto de Madrid. Las tapas son espectaculares, los cameraros muy graciosos y el servicio rapidísimo. No vas a encontrar a un bar más madrileño que ese. Este sitio es perfecto para gente que lleva su propio taburete o que les encanta estar mucho tiempo de pie. Incluso puedes venir solo y ponerte a leer los mensajitos dejado por otros clientes. Disfrutad! 🍻

Nunca había ido y la verdad que me sorprendió para bien. Las tapas muy ricas y el vermut como siempre riquísimo. Muy bonito el local!

El mejor bar de tapas que fui en Madrid. La cerveza es espectacular y siempre viene acompañada de una tapa excelente. Fui varias veces y en todas la experiencia fue impecable. El ambiente es genial y la buena onda del personal hace que quieras volver. Sin dudas mi visita obliga en Madrid !

This is an AMAZING tapas bar. The way it works is this: you order a drink and pay for it. They serve the drink and give you some food (a tapa). Every drink you order you get something else to eat. The bartender chooses what to give you. It’s free, so you don’t have to eat it, but this is the thing; it’s delicious. The day I went, the first tapa was a plate with a fried egg and some paella. That alone would be a filling meal. The next drink came with patatas bravioli (potatoes with brava sauce and Ali oli sauce). The third drink came with potatoes with sausages. Everything was awesome. The service was friendly and lightning fast. The atmosphere was welcoming.

This is as local as it gets. Free tapas with the purchase of beer. Small and crowded when we went but 100% worth the experience. We ordered tintos de Verano and got patatas bravas, rice, and sausages.

We went to El Tigre and the service and vibe was absolutely terrible. We left and came here instead. Best decision we ever made. Traditional, family run, lively, fun, frequented by locals, very little tourists, very good vibes. You’re not received with a giant smile but you feel welcomed. We ordered 2 cañas (small beers) for 5€, received free tapas and the food was great. The paella was ridiculously good for this unassuming place. Very little english so be prepared to order in spanish at least. With every round of drinks for 2 people you get 2 plates of food and a plate of bread. The food is tasty, and after the first round you can ask for different dishes (they had 5 big trays with different foods). The place was smaller, more intimate and the fun the locals were having was contagious. We ended up staying, meeting a fellow traveler and having such a great time. Good vibes, great prices, amazing food. Would rate more starts if I could.

A small local bar. For 4 euros I got a large whiskey (probably a 90ml) and a small plate of sausage and potatoes. It’s not fancy, but it’s warm, satisfying and great value for money.

A "traditional" tapas place where you receive a small plate with your drink. Obviously a locals-only spot where patrons call out their drink orders from their seats and demand the small plate of their choice. We loved it! The food isn't anything spectacular (microwaved, but apparently homemade), but I'm really not complaining at all–the experience was delightful.

Located in the centre of Madrid, this bar offers various types of tapas with drinks. I ordered 2 caña 🍻 for me n my friend and paid 4,6€ for these. Fair price. The beer was fresh through the tapas was moderately fine. Quick service!

If you look for a local place to grab a beer and some tapas, then you should def go El Respiro. You might be the only tourist in the restaurant. It’s also cheap, free tapas with beer and everything is so delicious. I’ve had the best tortilla de patatas so far which was soft and yummy.

Fresh and good tapas at a very good price. I always go when I am around downtown. They have a pretty good sider for 6 euros the bottle and they will serve you none stop free tapas. The bartenders are very nice. I am very happy that a bar like this can still be found so close to downtown.

My favorite tapas place in Madrid, foreigners always talk about El Tigre but the quality isn't there, El Tigre is quantity over quality. This place is a good compromise between the two, a good amount of tapas, with 2 cañas I'm almost full, and each caña is 2€.

Bar en pleno centro perfecto para tomar algo. Con cada consumición (3,20€ la caña) te sirven una tapa. En nuestro caso fueron patatas bravas con salchichas y huevos revueltos. Recomendado 100%. ¡Repetiremos!

This is the best tapas bar in the area, less popular than others but the food and services is far superior. Definitely recommend this one. Skip the "hot spots" and come here, you won't be disappointed.

I'm originally from Madrid but live abroad, this is one of the places I like to recommend and take any friends coming to the city. The place is popular with locals, always packed and with a great atmosphere. Drinks are reasonably priced and service is good too. The tapas included with the drinks are of a decent size and very tasty. Definitely one of the best tapas bar of the area, absolutely recommend it.

Bar de toda la vida sin colas para entrar ni para tomar algo. Ambienté bien, sin tirar cohetes y tapas grandes. Pero muy de trocomocho. Arroz bastante insípido. Lugar para quienes valoran más la cantidad que la calidad. Aún así no es caro.

Aunque hemos estado varias veces y en general bien, esta última vez bastante mal. Nos atendió una persona que nunca nos había atendido. Nos ofreció empanadillas que no nos gustan y nos dijo: vale devolvérmela, no tengo nada más. Cuando es cierto tienen más cosas. Recomendación pedir siempre al mismo camarero.
