Service was lacking, but the ambiance and quality of the coffee made it not matter. The lighting and coziness is perfect in this cafe. It’s hard to find a cafe that offers a large sized cafe con leche, thankfully they do here! The cafe con leeches were delicious.

Ok Luz is a VIBE. Grandma core. Couches and mismatched furniture. Candle light energy. The cappuccino was funnnn. The toast was good. They only let you sit in the main area if you get food, but the food is good & cheap. The bar is also cute. I sat here and journaled :)

My favorite coffee shop in Madrid I have been here around 30 times in the 10 months I've been in Madrid and I'm impressed every single time. I've taken clients, friends and dates here and they've all loved the place. The atmosphere of this place is so cozy and authentic. It is truly one of the best spots in town just to sit down and look around at all the intricate details they've curated. There's so many hidden little things where visitors can interact, write something down, or just observe. Not only that, but the coffee here is some of the nicest I've ever had. They put so much effort into making every drink one that is special and memorable. This combined with the immense variety of drinks makes for a perfect bit of exploration every single time I walk through the door. White I've only eaten here a few times, I can confidently recommend their toasts for a perfect afternoon snack. If that's not your thing, you can go there during their buzzing weekend nights. Where the cocktails and ambiance will make for a perfect night out. Also make sure to check out their basement during the weekends! It's an amplification of an already perfect space. I love Café de la Luz, and I would recommend it to literally anyone.

This is my favourite place in madrid by far. It has an ambience I’ve never experienced before. It resembles the warmth of a house with such accuracy it’s nostalgic. You can take anyone here. The service is also really warm and kind.

We took carrot cake and tea during a rainy day in Madrid. We needed to wait to be seated as the place was packed; we waited in the bar. If they dont have chairs in the bar available they dont take people in anymore so it is very popular. One of the waitresses was very friendly and was able to take the pressure the other one look a bit overwhelmed already and stressed out, luckily for us we got service from the nice waitress. Prices were fair and the table we got was perfectly located. They also serve food, and we are definitely going back.

Some friends took me here and it was a great surprise. The place has a lovely atmosphere, and the service was great. We had some hot drinks and cakes, delicious!!! I loved that I asked for a colacao and got the whole thing so I could put as much or little as I wanted. The carrot and chocolate cakes were specially good. And the mini Maria biscuit that came with the drink were a sweet touch. We were sitting at a table that had small drawers, I opened them (I'm nosy like that) and found lots of napkins with messages left by client, really nice! Definitely recommend it!

This cafe is fancy and cozy one. You can relax and have a good time here! The chairs and tables are nice! The menu is nice! There are no terrace seat but the window come to indoor and smell good winds. When I visited, sweet puppy was relaxing with her daddy. Looks nice! I like this cafe! Enjoy!

Lovely chill out cafe. Nice way to end the night. An eclectic mix of odd chairs, sofas, tables, desks, nicely lit with lamps and different lights. Very relaxed atmosphere. Great service. Lovely coffee and the best chocolate cake I’ve ever had in Madrid!

Sin duda lo que más destaca es la atención por parte del personal, una gran variedad de bebidas y comida con una buena relación precio, un sitio pequeño pero muy tranquilo, a destacar de que dentro hay cobertura escasa y el wifi va como una escopeta de feria pero por lo demás yo repetiria

El local está bien decorado, muy cute aunque si hay mucha gente es agobiante. Tienen una sala subterránea aún más. Los precios de los productos razonables. El café estaba muy bueno pero la tarta de chocolate un poco sin más, no sabía a chocolate auténtico. Los camareros han sido majos en todo momento

La cafetería es muy linda. Es muy pequeña pero acogedora y hogareña. El jugo es rico, así como el croissant. Las chica mesera amable aunque al final la chica que cobra no lo fue tanto pues intenté pagar con tarjeta dos veces pero no me pasaba, hasta que pague con la wallet, y pues su actitud no fue muy linda. Como si me hiciera sentir lenta o tonta jaja.

Recorriendo las calles de Gran Vía me conseguí con este Cafe/Bar Tuve suerte en poder sentarme en los sillones de la entrada los cuales son súper cómodos. Es un lugar muy acogedor para conversar y estar en un ambiente Chill Out Pedi algunos cakes y tintos! Muy buena atención, quizás los cakes pueden mejorar pero es un lugar para pasarla bien y no enfocarte en comer 10/10 Pd: Me impresiona algunas reseñas muy malas que tiene pero mi experiencia fue buena!🥃

La decoración del establecimiento estaba chulísima y era muy acogedora. Lo malo es que hay demasiadas mesas para el poco espacio que hay y toca estar un poquito apretaditos. El café estaba muy bueno y también nos pedimos una tarta red velvet que estaba increíble. Además, el camarero era bastante simpático.

Speaking from an American perspective- the coffee is great and cheap! That’s why this spot gets such a high rating, the better than a lot of coffee in the states for 1/3rd the price!. Aesthetic is also awesome too, love the coziness of the place. Would love to come back again!

Fuimos a desayunar con amigos. Pedimos café con leche, cola cao (que trajeron el bote) y sandwich mixtos, secos, sin gracia. Pedimos aceite para “mejorarlos” Las tostas y las tartas (cortadas) que vimos expuestas no tenían buena pinta. El sitio se ve chulo pero la comida muy flojita. El wifi no funciona y la cobertura para los móviles es mala.

I came to drink a coffee and get some work done. First, they don’t allow you to sit down at the lower seated tables unless you order food, so if you want just a drink, you’re stuck at a high top. Additionally, they don’t allow you to work on your laptop on weekends, regardless of where you’re seated. I wanted to eat my snack with my cappuccino that I brought with and they didn’t allow that either. Lastly, the cappuccino was small and not very tasty. Didn’t try the food here though.

The atmosphere was good in the cafe then only thing i didn’t like was the feeling of getting kick out, i spend there as a solo person and hour and half really, upon my entry the place was empty and got ask that i could only sit on the small table if i was eating in a unpleasant way. The place should give the freedom to let be sitted everywhere since it’s a nice place to read and take a drink which of course if it wasnt like that it shouldn’t be with that theme to start with but just a local to go- without table cafe. After i plug my computer i got ask to taken it out which understandable bc there was other stuff connected and asked if i could move to another when i saw the outlet more free but told that if someone needed that i will have to be removed, there’s was plenty of tables around me and when people came i got ask right away to leave the table after being sitted for 10 minutes so i felt that it was rude. I saw many people leave because they didn’t feel in a cozy environment and force to eat to have a place of comforting. Really unfortunate

El bar es muy bonito. El servicio deja que desear. La atención al cliente no es muy buena. Nos hicieron esperar de pie habiendo mesas libres y luego a otras personas se sentaron donde quisieron. En la carta pone desayuno pero debería poner comida o tostada porque no incluye bebida. El zumo de naranja estaba agrio, lo trajo con hielo sin consultar. Poco higiénico traer el bote de cola cao para echártelo por ti mismo. Y el wifi de la carta no funcionaba, no aparecía

Local muy curioso de ver pero pésima política de empresa, no volveré. Éramos 4 adultos y para que nos dejaran sentarnos, nos condicionaron a tomarnos además de las consumiciones, dos trozos de tarta. Si tienes curiosidad en conocerlo, pasa ojeas y cuando a los 2 minutos de digan que no te dejan sentarte, vas a la cafetería de alado donde seguro que están encantados de atenderte.

Que lastima! Todo muy bonito pero el servicio pésimo, con mala actitud, malas caras. Me dijeron que si podía entrar con mi tarta de cumpleaños sin problemas. Porque yo pregunté. A las minutos cuando estaba consumiendo y pedí prestado un cuchillo me hicieron guardar mi tarta porque no estaba permitido. O sea kna contradicción total. Muy mala experiencia para mi y mis amigos.

Entiendo todo, pero hace falta un poco de flexibilidad. Si hay una mesa libre con dos sillas y somos tres, y hay más sillas disponibles y no bloqueamos el paso, deberían dejarnos sentar. Lo siento, pero estas políticas tan relajadas y molestas no son lo mejor. Además, el camarero No ha sido muy disponible, podrían haberme indicado esperar unos minutos pero nada.

Quizás para turistas perdidos este es un buen lugar. Todo hay que decirlo, el sitio está a bonito y bien decorado. Fui a esta cafetería para sentarme a trabajar con el ordenador por un par de horas. Nada más entrar, estoy a punto de sentarme en una mesa (el local estaba completamente vacío) y me dicen las chicas que solo me puedo sentar en las mesas bajas si voy a pedir algo de comer. Venía de comer así que solo quería café y un sitio tranquilo para trabajar un poco. Después digo, bueno vale. Me siento, les pido la contraseña del wifi y me dicen: “el wifi no funciona muy bien y a las 3:00pm ya no se puede usar el ordenador”. Me quedo con cara de tonto mirando alrededor con el local completamente vacío y dije… bueno pues nada. Me tomo el café y chao. Entiendo que hay gente que se sienta en una mesa y se tira 8 horas trabajando consumiendo un café, pero creo que al cliente hay que tratarlo un poco mejor entendiendo contexto y situación. Definitivamente como madrileño no vuelvo aquí a trabajar. Luego también para colmo, cuando estoy tomándome mi café tranquilo, escucho a las 2 chicas hablar de las malas condiciones que tienen en la cafetería, creando aún más un ambiente pésimo para poder relajarte y tomar café. Dueños de la cafetería, mejorar las condiciones de vuestros empleados ya que afecta totalmente la experiencia del cliente. Gracias por el café y adiós.

Rude service. Cute place with cozy coaches but they won’t let you sit on them. They are for the selected few that they deem lucky enough to enjoy them. Not sure why but we were not deemed fit. If you want to order a cup of coffee and enjoy it at a coffee shop this is not a good place to do it apparently.

Cute atmosphere, but horrible service and it felt racially targeted. There was 1 waitress that made us move tables 3 times even though the cafe wasn’t busy. When a friend came to join us but wasn’t ready to order anything at the moment, she demanded that we must order or leave. We were reading and had our books out, and she made a rude comment in Spanish that translates to “well, you have to order this is a cafeteria not a library—you can’t study here and you can’t be here for more than 3 hours” Mind you, we had already bought 4 drinks and had only been there for one hour. Additionally, none of us were “studying” because the WiFi doesn’t work nor is there service for your mobile data to work; they give you WiFi username and password on the menu, but it’s non-functioning. We felt very uncomfortable and uneasy but decided to stay for 10 more minutes because we are paying customers, and she came back and demanded us “what are you going to order” and after I said nothing (because we were leaving), she rolled her eyes. The picture below is the rude waitress. 3 different customers witnessed the interaction and all of them came up to us to give recommendations for other coffee shops and were extending their concerns towards us. I enjoyed this cafe in the past, but after this unnecessarily rude and charged interaction, I will not be returning unfortunately.
