I took some business associates there for a dinner meeting . The food was amazing , cooked to perfection . The salad was fresh and beautifully prepared . The seating and dining room was very nice . It was our first time there, and I highly recommend going if you have never been there .

We had the best time at Frank's. There was a group of 8 of us. We had a very nice-looking waiter who was pleasant and friendly. He checked on us just enough. We had another person ( Owner maybe?) tell us about another restaurant they owned and the hauntingly of the restaurant. I had the chicken ( baked) Asparagus and salad. Friends had shrimp scampi, salmon, ziti, and spaghetti. The dessert was a creme Brule and a very good chocolate cake. We always enjoyed our nights out there. If you have not visited Frank's, you need to go!

Frank's Italian Restaurant is one of the places my family goes for a nice night out. The food is absolutely amazing! My usual is the gnocchi and it never disappoints. The wait staff is always friendly and the owner is sure to make his way around to each table to make everyone feel welcomed. Very nice place to eat and have a good time.

Stopped in for dinner after driving by several times. Had a great meal. Food was good .servers were all good. Place was busy if you don't have reservations you are taking chances. Make reservations you will be happy with your choice. Thank you.

Can I just say that lying on reviews is both horrible and down right rude. The statement about Frank being intoxicated is very wrong because in fact he was not there last week due to his godfather passing in Sicily. If you did see him it would have been in tears before he rushed to the airport. Please understand that if your waiting past your reservation everyone is struggling and understaffed. Every restaurant I have been to in the past 3 months has been struggling with the lack of workers. Frank’s is a great place to work and eat! Food is delicious. If you like salmon, try it with the bruschetta! It’s delicious! Pizza is always a favorite! Hope if you had a bad experience that you try again. And bobcats to eat in the Town of Maine, are you serious?

We had a party of 8 here tonight. Everything was amazing. We tried the cheese wheel pasta. Wow that was to die for. Desserts were a 10 out of 10. Our server Gabby was so friendly and a pleasure to have as our server. We drove 2hrs to get there and definitely will go back.

Go start with a drink at the bar from one of their friendly and knowledgeable bartenders. Get seated literally anywhere in the restaurant or on the patio and experience the incredible atmosphere. Order a unique dish that you may have never tried before. I can promise that you won't be disappointed. If you find food this good anywhere else, I don't know if it can top the cozy and uplifting feel you get as soon as you enter. Afterwards, grab yourself a tasty dessert and a shot of espresso, then go beat your friend or family member in a game of fooseball in the back of the bar. Maybe have one more drink, hug Frank, kiss the chef, tell all your friends about it and do it again soon. Its an experience every time. This place is one of a kind. Will be back every time I'm in town.

First time trying Frank's Italian Restaurant. Everyone there was super friendly, we had Frank come greet us and talk with us and he is very friendly! All the food is amazing! Everything is homemade, even the meat was from a local butcher and you could definitely tell! Portion size was great as well! It's priced reasonably as expected, not cheap but also not overly expensive, but it is worth every single penny! The atmosphere of the place was also very nice with a beautiful outdoor seating area. Would recommend to anyone in the area or those visiting the area to give this place a try! You won't be disappointed!

Frank's Italian restaurant caters to a discerning clientele seeking a dining experience beyond the fast-paced service and standardized meals typical of chain restaurants. As a privately owned establishment, Frank's appeals is for customers who appreciate nice ambiance and delicious food. For those accustomed to a different style, options like the Olive Garden would probably better suit their dining preference ☺️.

An amazing meal!! The service by Cassandra and the tortellini and squash meal was incredible. Met Frank the owner. Great guy! It's a family owned business and they make you feel like you're part of the family. We'll be back for more!!!!

So, I have to admit that I’m a serious foodie, small business owner, student of leadership and workplace culture, and a tough critic when it comes to the service industry. With that said, I was BLOWN AWAY by our experience tonight at Frank’s. I have driven past a bunch of times and never stopped because I expected much of the same. At the suggestion of friends, we went tonight and had a delightful experience. Atmosphere was nice and reminded us we were up for a great experience, but it wasn’t pretentious. Our server was attentive and friendly and suggested the mushroom ravioli, which was the best I’ve had. The mushrooms were the feature and had a hint of creamy cheese. It was served with a tasty but not overpowering Alfredo sauce that never felt “heavy.” Bread was traditional garlic but crispy on the outside and warm and soft on the inside. Salad had a nice touch of a few amazing olives and the bowls were ice cold. Our appetizers were unique and delicious and the creme brûlée was some of the best we’ve had. When the check came, we literally thought they forgot to include something. Nope. All there. Amazing value. Absolutely go here. Don’t wait a decade or longer like we did! My new favorite!

C
Christina Hegedus

We have been here twice and both times it was fantastic! The homemade pasta in the Alfredo sauce was absolutely delicious!!! Loved that Frank was going around checking in on his patrons. Definitely becoming a favorite restaurant of my husband and I.

We always enjoy dining at Frank's. Our meal was, as always, wonderful! Thank you Lou for being a chef that always take pride in what he creates, and a big thank you to Gabriella for the outstanding desserts, the hot cocoa cheesecake was amazing. We don't go out very often, so to have such a wonderful restaurant to go to, where we feel like family is a gift. God bless you Frank and you beautiful family, we love you

Loved the food and the dessert! My parents say the frutti di mare is the best Italian entree in the area!! We got the lemon berry mascarpone cake and cannoli for dessert; a perfect light ending to the pasta dinner. The owner Frank is such a character and took the time to make sure we all felt welcome and enjoyed our food. Would recommend to anyone looking for a good Italian seafood dish in the area!

There’s no such thing as a bad meal here. Every dish feels as though it was cooked just for you as the only customer at the restaurant, even on a busy night. Frank goes around and greets customers, the wait staff work hard and always deliver their best and the food is always outstanding. Frank has dishes you’ll never find at any other Italian restaurant and for incredible prices. His special Valentines Day menu and service night is such an exclusive experience. At Frank’s you feel like you’re part of a special group. I vigorously recommend this place.

Great food and exceptional service! Entrance to seating area is a bit congested inside, as customers have no place to wait except for crowding into the small hallway being in each others way. We had reservations.

New to the area. Four adults, two children. I believe to be Frank greeted us, told us our table would be a short wait and told us to check out the lounge, play some games while we waited. My kids enjoyed playing foosball. Food was great, service was great too! Great experience for being new to the area. Frank wished us a good night and thanked us for coming in. Good food, very reasonably priced, definitely made it on our list of places we’ll frequent.

This is one of our families go to restaurants for special occasions or for drinks and pizza. The selection of spirits is amazing and the food is always delicious. The servers are always helpful and friendly even on a busy Saturday night. Thursday night music on the patio is always a hit if your looking for a relaxing night out with family and friends. We highly recommend Franks.

Yet another delicious meal at Franks. I will never get tired of their vodka sauce, on any of their pasta dishes. We even got to introduce our friends to the Franks experience and they loved it. And, as usual, Frank was amazing as well. We go often and he always remembers us, has conversation with us, and makes us laugh. He goes up to every table to add a nice personal touch to your experience. We will always go back to Franks! Best Italian food around.

What a great place! I really can’t say enough good things. Our waitress, Joelle was so sweet. The food was amazing, especially the lobster ravioli! The cocktails were also very good! What a lovely experience I had here the other night! A co-worker and I came here for dinner, and the service and the quality was delightful from start to finish. I really can't say enough about this restaurant. We took my mom there for her birthday and it couldn't have gone better. The staff is always so friendly and accommodating and the minute you walk in you can smell how delicious the food is going to be... And they deliver on that every meal we had with every side dish from the appetizer all the way to the desert and espresso. On top of that you'll get to meet Frank because he's always out talking and meeting and making sure that the dining room and the food and our whole experience is great. The whole staff at least every single person that we've met were super friendly. And it's clean you can tell they care about their atmosphere like I said I can't say enough So I'll end it with this, you have to go there and experienced it yourself and then you'll end up wanting to leave a review like me because it's so rare to get the whole package. Great job to the entire team there and thank you Frank for your restaurant my family and I love it and can't wait to schedule our next reservation!

S

Very good dinner. I just wish there were a few more scallops and shrimp with the pasta. It seemed a bit skimpy on the seafood, considering the price. Also, the paper container for leftovers is not ideal for anything with sauce or oil...it soaks right through. Maybe consider getting plastic ones. The wait staff was incredible.

From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, we were greeted with exceptional hospitality. The food was superb, delivering an authentic Italian family dining experience. What stood out most was their attentiveness towards our two little girls, making us feel truly welcome and cared for.

With a reservation, this restaurant went above and beyond for my party of 7. The restaurant is in a beautifly restored old home. It is clean and bright (not too much so). The service was amazing. And the food....oh my! If you like great Italian (they have other stuff too), and you are in the vacinity of Maine (Binghamton), NY, this is a must stop! They even did an impromptu Happy Birthday song and piece of cake (with candle) for my 80 year old God Mother, and Frank himself got the entire restaurant to join in! Thank you Frank and crew for an amazing experience.

Overall 5-star experience from entry to exit. Frank and his wife understand customer service and how to make each meal special for my family when I visit. Our server Amanda walked us through the menu - regulars and specials - and thoroughly answered all our questions. The variety of fresh seafood entrees is impressive - from traditional shellfish/pasta to cioppino. I live in Augusta, GA and this is my go-to restaurant when I regularly visit family in Binghamton area. Rest assured, you will not be disappointed!

Their sausage and meatballs pam are amazing. I forgot to take a picture when it first arrived because it was smelling way too good. It comes with side salad and garlic bread which are also fresh and tasty. Staffs are friendly and Frank gave us some coupons for macarons at their new bakery

Went to Frank's for the first time Tuesday night. And what a hidden gem, to me anyways. Never knew it existed but my fiance told me about it. She hadn't been there in years. So it was kinda new to her again. It was the perfect weather to enjoy dinner outside. And they have an absolutely awesome patio. The place used to be BYOB, but they now have a full service bar. So if that was swaying your decision on going here, don't let it. We started off with some drinks and salads. I had the Chicago Wedge which was a nice change since it had ranch and bleu cheese. My lady ordered a white pizza with fresh basil and tomato and I had the chicken parm. That's my standard order when trying an Italian restaurant I've never been to. Both the pizza and the dinner were delicious. Nice thin chicken cutlets, breaded and fried to perfection. Sauce was very good, a little on the sweet side and lots of fresh basil. Pizza was cooked perfectly, definitely my new favorite white pizza in the area. Service was exceptional as well. All in all, Frank's was a great experience and we'll definitely be back more often!

I celebrated my graduation from Binghamton University at this wonderful Italian restaurant, and it was the perfect choice! The food was incredible—fresh meats and seafood brought in today specially for this weekend. Our waitress was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and made great recommendations. We went to Frank’s this past weekend to celebrate my mom’s 80th birthday. There were 20 of us and the food, service, and hospitality were absolutely perfect! Everyone one in our party of 20 enjoyed their meals. Most of us live out of the area now (Boston, Rochester, etc.) and we were really pleased with the whole experience. Our server was excellent and made my daughter with multiple food allergies feel safe and confident in her dinner choices. Frank was sure to make my mom feel special and we truly appreciated all that the staff did to make it a memorable night for my mom. Thank you Franks!! We will certainly be back.

My god this food was amazing. My family and my friend’s family went there for graduation and we were all SO HAPPY with the food, the service and overall restaurant. I don’t write reviews a lot. However, when I go to a place where it exceeds my expectations and then some, I feel compelled to write! Frank’s is one of those places! My wife and I made the 71 miles drive to this restaurant on a recommendation from a couple we met at a local establishment to us. They go to Franks all the time and said, if you want the best Italian food in the Binghamton area, go to Franks! They seemed very convincing, so we decided to go for it without looking at any online reviews. We wanted to go in fresh and make our own judgments. Well, it turns out, the couple we met in our local bar were spot on! The 70-mile drive was so worth it and we will be doing it on a regular basis from now on! First the food, OMG! The highlight of the night. BEST Italian food I have ever had. Now, keep in mind, we weren’t ordering really fancy Italian food. I’m talking about Chicken Parm, Meatballs, Arancini. Stuff like that. However, all I can tell you is in my 56 years on this earth those items were the best I have ever eaten! So flavorful. That red sauce we the perfect balance on spicy, sweet and savory. The portions they give are huge, so be prepared! I could have eaten every bit of everything on my plates but decided to take some home to enjoy the next night. The service was also incredible. From the moment we walked in, we felt at home. Everyone was super friendly, including the owner who came to our table and chatted with us for a while. A really nice guy and he seemed super appreciative of us taking the long drive to come to his humble establishment. Maybe the only thing I could say on the negative side about Frank’s restaurant would be it took quite a long time to get our food. In reading some of the online reviews now, this seems to be a common thread. I will say, the wait really didn’t bother us. All the positives really outweighed the long wait times. Honestly, I would have waited longer for that food. It was that good! They just maybe need to work on timing a little more in the kitchen and things would be much better. Do yourself a favor. Go to Franks. You won’t regret it.! I’m already planning the next time we will return!

My husband and I with my friend went to Frank's on Wednesday February 24th.We had reservations for 4:30 and we were seated right away. We got our drinks no problem, we put our order in and it actually went well. The food was hot and very good..My husband had lasagna, I had chicken parm. with a side of spaghetti, and my friend had seafood melody over risotto. We started out with a nice salad and garlic bread. The service was very good and Frank stopped by our table for a minute just to check on everything.. My only complaint was the music was a little louder than I liked.. It was worth the trip. I will probably go back again soon.

Excellent locally owned resturant with quality food. I was impressed from the cocktail to the pizza I ordered to go. Frank recently put on an AMAZING bridal shower for my daughter. From the food, to the dessert, to the waitstaff, I could not have been more pleased! I was grateful for him accommodating my need to meet on more than one occasion to discuss details of the event. He was easy to work with. I received many, many compliments from guests. This left me feeling beyond satisfied. Thank you again Frank and staff. I will not hesitate to recommend an event at Frank’s Italian Restaurant.

We had a lovely dinner with my daughter and her neighbor over the weekend. The steak was grilled to perfection, the eggplant parm was delicious and my husband’s lamb chops were also perfection. The desserts offered were many and decadent! Frank, the owner is personable, welcoming and the restaurant is lovely. Our waitress was also very sweet and efficient. I would happily return when we next visit our daughter upstate. Oh yes and the prices were very reasonable.

I’m late in posting, but I had to share the consistent and wonderful experiences at Franks. I love coming here with my mom, I’ve also brought my boyfriend for his birthday. The food is delicious every time I’m here. I’ve had a nice variety of meals from my visits here, everything has been exceptional. I also want to say the drinks are delicious too. I’ve inquired about different cocktails, some that are classic but perhaps not listed in the menu. The bartender has crafted many a delicious whiskey or rye cocktail! When you come to Frank’s you know you’re getting delicious authentic food. When you bring people to Frank’s you know you’re making a good impression, it’s a beautiful restaurant with attentive staff. I’m looking forward to my next visit. P.S. get the dessert too!

We had a delightful dinner at Frank's (as usual). Food and service were excellent. The place was jam packed for music in honor of Frank Sinatra's birthday, so it was kind of noisy and the staff were stretched thin. During the fall, Frank makes a pasta table-side in a cheese wheel he personally imports from Italy. Fantastic!

I love trying new restaurants but Frank's is not one of them. That's because Frank's is where I go when I've been disappointed by one too many new experiences lately. This magnificent standby always serves great food and hospitality without fail. Steak and pizza are my favorite foods and Frank's is serving up some of the best. Last time we went I actually snagged some of my wife's tortellini Alfredo and it was so damn good it had me questioning my usual order. I take one star away for atmosphere as the tables are small and placed pretty close together. At 6'1" I'm not able to push my chair all the way in without hitting everyone else's knees but if I slide out I'll be blocking wait staff and guests from getting by. This is a small gripe as everything else is excellent. A note to anyone who has never been - make a reservation or go right at open. I'm one of MANY who quickly fill this place up to near capacity on any given night.

My experience at Frank's last night (Wednesday at 7pm) was absolutely wonderful! Despite the busy evening, Cassandra, our waitress, was delightful and attentive. The food, as always, was delicious—I highly recommend the chicken parm with a side of rigatoni in vodka sauce; it's my go-to at Frank's! Frank himself stopped by our table to greet us and ensure everything was to our liking, which I always appreciate. It's this personal touch that sets Frank's apart. We also held our wedding rehearsal dinner at Frank's, and our wedding at Gabriella's Manor (formerly owned by Frank) was just as exceptional. Eight years later, we still choose Frank's for special occasions, family celebrations, and date nights. Thank you, Frank, for consistently delivering a memorable experience. We'll be back soon!

When we arrived, the maître d’ said that we would have to wait 15 minutes for our table because, “the kitchen was backed up.” What a refreshing breath of honesty! We were instructed to wait at the bar. The bartender was fast, friendly, and efficient. My friend was very happy with his Moscow Mule. Our table was ready within the promised time. We ordered the risotto balls and the calamari as hors d’oeuvres. The risotto balls were inexpensive and huge (2 big balls). However, I would not recommend them. The calamari were the best calamari I’ve ever tasted. I ordered the bacon wrapped scallop entree. The scallops were cooked to perfection. We got to meet Frank. He is the son of two Sicilians. He said he has a house in Italy. He curses like a sailor, makes you feel like family, and is a hoot! I was glad to have patronized his establishment. My friend said he’ll bring his wife to Frank’s for their anniversary.

Absolutely awesome food from bruschetta to gnocchis to steak. The salads are all home made with fresh veggies and dressings. The garlic bread is out of this world! The deserts are best in town easy! Gabriella does an incredible job and always has fully stocked cakes and cannolis that will blow you away. The atmosphere is old Italian music dim lighting and polite service ! It was our servers first day (Alyssa) I believe and she was great! Highly recommend fir friends family etc! Frank hand delivered a rose to our table and these guys are great!

Always busy, but always a good meal. Recommendations were excellent and waitress was very outgoing and helpful. Expresso martini was one of the best I have had. Seafood dish had generous portions and steak was cooked perfectly.

This place took WAY too long to have us seated+served. I got here at 6:15, got seated at 7:50, and got served at 8:30. The food was amazing though. Just the wait time was too much. The servers were so nice, the only thing bad about this place is the wait time and that the tables are a bit close. Everything else is absolutely amazing.

Food was very good. We had pizza, pasta, seafood, dessert... All excellent. Service was pretty slow was the only complaint we had. I'm glad we weren't in a hurry, but it was busy with live music outside plus the dinner crowd.

This is an interesting place, and the only decent restaurant in town besides a bar and a diner. Frank is a friendly guy who opened his place a few years ago, it picked up very well, he then expanded and built an additional space, which is great. He used to walk from table to table and have a friendly chat with people, though I have not seen it happen much lately. The service is good, food is tasty and decent. I used to take my family out there mainly because it is a convenient place. These days there is such a large crowd and long wait, you can drive some place else and enjoy your meal instead of waiting 30-45 minutes on a Friday night at Frank's. Same goes for takeout, you need to order it an hour ahead, otherwise you'd be sitting in your car waiting, which typically gets stretched. Time is money, so my business has been much less at Frank's lately. I do give him a credit and respect for being closed on Sundays. Update: Recently we ordered pizza and wings, and they have a special on their sign, but the cashier did not bother to offer that even after being asked, so we ended up paying a bit extra. Not attractive.

Pros: Food was very good. Wait staff was very friendly and accommodating. The menu is very expansive. Prices are reasonable. Cons: Tables are VERY close together. (Not comfortable squeezing in for bigger patrons.) It is loud on a busy night, and hard to hear your companion's conversation. Parking is terrible. (Please be careful crossing the very busy Rt 26.) If you enjoy a dining "experience", this may be for you. Our reservations were for 6:00, were seated at 6:30 and we left at 8:45. Some people may love that leisurely experience. There were no vegan options.

I use to give this place 5+ stars until our last time there. I made a reservation for wife's 40th birthday dinner party (21 people). The food was delicious, our one waitress did a fabulous job. But I can not give 5 stars anymore. Frank came out to the group of guests of my reserved tables and said he was not happy we had a party/group this size. He explained he wanted the person's name that took the reservation so he could fire them. I said I couldn't remember who I spoke with. So myself and several friends all agreed we would never eat there again due to the rudeness and unprofessional attitude of the owner. Take notice that this was done just after the pandemic and people were allowed back into restaurants again.

Started off with fried calamari appetizer. It was overcooked so we asked the waiter to take the dish away. The owner came out to tell us it was perfect and that's the way they eat it in Sicily. Then our lobster entrees came out. The lobster was overcooked. Not wanting to create a scene like we endured previously, we just asked to have the meals boxed. We had two desserts boxed also. The rainbow cake tasted like baking soda and the frosting was greasy. The creme brulee cheesecake was good. Fortunately, we were not charged for the calamari.

Made a reservation, still had to wait 15-20 min after our reservation time to get a table. Food was pretty good, but considering we ended up being there for two hours(!!) because we had to wait 30-45 min for food, I wouldn't particularly say it was worth it. The only excellent part of our service was Erica, our server, who was pleasant, courteous, and responsive. The drinks were also excellent, though- kudos to the bartender.

My husband and I were here last night for the first time. We had a reservation for 7pm. At 8:05 we asked the hostess what the status of our table was and she advised us it was being bused. Here is my problem. She clearly forgot that we existed. There is no way that there weren't walkins being sat in this HOUR. I know this because we had to wait in the bar area and no one else came up to wait for a table. In addition to this. There was zero apology from any of the staff that we had to wait over an hour for our RESERVED table. We were asked by three other employees if we were waiting for a table during this time, but no one felt the need to communicate with the hostess. Furthermore, the menus mention that there is to be bread with every entree. Nope no bread. My husbands steak was so salty he could barely eat it, and at 9pm we didn't see the point in sending it back and waiting 20 minutes for a new one. Lastly, my husband ordered a yuengling. Whatever beer they brought him, it was yuengling, but the beer also had random bits of something floating in it. For a $100+ meal... I don't think we'll be back. If you do chose to eat here, make sure you get the calamari. It was amazing.. but not really worth an hour wait for a RESERVED table.

I went there a couple weeks ago with my partner. The restaurant was busy, and they used someone who had no prior training or experience on serving to be our server, and our server was actually hired to work in the kitchen. Don’t get me wrong, our server was very nice, and tried to make our experience as pleasant as possible, though awkward. However, that server shouldn’t had been serving in the first place, it was a management issue! I doubt the restaurant owner couldn’t hire more waitresses/waiters to compromise the demand that the restaurant had. While ordering, we were told the wrong things on our dishes/combination/prices, and my concern for my allergy could not be answered. I blame the owner/management. Also, our entrees came literally an hour after our appetizers, I am not exaggerating! I got to the restaurant at 7 and left at 9:30. I voiced my concern with how late my food came to me to the owner/manager who happened to go around the tables. He had the audacity to tell me “this is not a pizzeria. Good food takes time.” IM SORRY WHAT?? This is a restaurant and my food does not need to take an hour. Idk if this is real or not but we were told the fountain drinks only had 1 refill, and the refill was flat, I had to send it back.

I made a 8pm reservation for 2 on Valentines day about 2 weeks in advance. We arrived about 10 minutes early and we were asked to wait in the lounge/bar area. It was understandably busy, but the restaurant seemed to be overbooked. We weren't seated until 8:45, about a hour wait after arriving (45 minutes past reservation/expected seated time). We were greeted by our waitress quickly, which was nice, only to find out the restaurant did her the justice of making Valentines night her FIRST NIGHT on the job. She did her best and was very busy through the night but here are a list of problems with the meal- -Water was brought to us at the start, and were not refilled once despite those being our only drinks. -Bread was sporadically being given out to tables. Our server said ours was on the way, and you guessed it, it never did come. -Appetizer took 45 minutes (!!!!!!) to arrive and it was 1 singular rice ball. The marinara was very good. -The entrees were okay. The filet mignon was slightly overcooked from my preferred temperature and lacked seasoning and a crust. I had planned to order from the actual menu but was confined to the Valentines menu. -From this point, we had been in the restaurant for 2.5 hours and we requested our dessert course to go. It was also very good. -There was mishap with the bill, which can be a common mistake especially for a new employee, but it added an additional 20 minutes on top of all the other mishaps. I heard very promising thinks about Frank's, which is why I put my trust in a reservation on Valentine's Day. From my outside perspective, it seems like lots of other people did the same and the restaurant overbooked reservations and hired a bunch of young, inexperienced servers. The food and atmosphere definitely gave me insight to what people raved about, but overall the experience ended up being pretty dreadful. After 3 hours (!!) of sitting in this place, it is safe to say we will not be back. If I had received a quarter of the experience that I've heard from others about this place, I would have really enjoyed myself but ultimately they did a poor job managing the restaurant on one of the most important nights of the year and lost a customer for it.

Reviews ive read are true. Went to Frank's for takeout since it is near where my grandson has practice. The owner just lectured me on my choice of payment. He is a horrible person. The food is disgusting too. I've tasted better out of a can.

Beware of the angry owner. If I could give this restaurant a negative star I would. I recommended to my out of town family to try Frank’s restaurant after I visited this restaurant last month with some long time friends. I am so embarrassed at how they were treated by the owner and feel awful they had this experience. They were on time for their reservation and were enjoying the great service from Abby. They ordered the mussels, Cesar salads, and two rigatonis. When their food arrived the mussels did not taste/smell right (fishy). So they did not eat the mussels but continued with the rest of the meal. When the waitress came to check on the table she asked about the mussels and they just explained they were a little fishy. They did not send it back or ask for it to be taken of the bill. The waitress removed them from the table and they continued with their evening. Within 5 minutes the owner came out screaming at them “ You don’t know food or what your talking about”, “Cheapskate we are not taking the item off the bill” (which they did not ask for), and he continued to verbally abuse/attack his out of town customers and got in their personal space to do so. My family did not engage with his behavior which apparently irritated him more. To add insult to injury, when they paid the bill and were going to leave, the waitress brought out the mussels in a “to go” box. Then the owner came out again to scream at them and then apologized to the other tables for his behavior with my family sharing that it was their fault he was verbally attacking them. I am mortified at this local business owner and his behavior with my family. I will never go back to this restaurant and hope you consider this review when you make your decision to dine here.

It took us over 2 hours to finally leave after our waiter went MIA. It looked like he was split between outside dining and only our table inside (why would any manager schedule that) so we were not on his radar. It took us forever to get water, our bottle of wine, and food. We could tell the kitchen was swamped and behind on orders but, tables seated after us left before us. At the end, we had to flag down another waitress to get our check and be able to leave. The food was good but the service really ruined us coming back.

If your goal is to have some of the worst service in the "fine dining" category for this area, Franks is for you. While you are waiting a half hour for a basket of bread and a drink to be delivered, let Frank regale you on his pedigree and accomplishments. His tall tales are comical, especially coming from a guy who couldn't hold a candle to a true Chef and is too short to light said candle. During this painfully long diatribe, you would have already had warm bread and your cocktails at Cacciatore’s. Getting the waiter to bring anything was like pulling teeth. Come to find out he is new and we were told he would certainly be re-trained. How about firing the person who trained him in the first place and thought he was ready to serve tables? My wife ordered Branzino (European Sea Bass) Maybe to Frank it was a decent-sized piece of fish, but it is more than likely the bait fish used to catch the fish Cacciatore’s serves. Franks minnows are twice the price and half the size of any Branzino she’s had in NYC. My meal, what I could eat of it, was fair. I could not finish my meal as the remnants of the shrimp, mussels, and oysters from a different table were unceremoniously dumped into my lap and on my plate by a waiter who was more concerned with how cool he looked than the safety of those around him. After a perfunctory cleanup by the offending waiter, I sat waiting for five minutes certain someone would be by to finish the clean up and offer me perhaps a fresh glass of water not filled with marinara sauce. Nope. It was as if nothing ever happened and was ignored. I had to go find Frank and tell him of the incident and upon my return to the table, I listened as the offending waiter was explaining to my wife that he had already told Frank all about it. It was then that I spoke up and said that he was not being truthful and that Frank knew nothing about it until I had just finished telling him. Hmm. I wonder which one was lying? Neither my wife nor I made any fuss or commotion about the botched meal. We did not want to be “those people” and simply were curious as to how this would play out. In any other restaurant, when something like that happens, it is customary to be gracious and offer perhaps a complimentary aperitif or dessert or even an apology. Not at Franks, apparently Frank's "training" was cut short or he was too busy playing miniature golf to attend "etiquette" class. Wow. The ending of the evening was exactly as predicted. A failure. The only one to blame for this is the captain of the dinghy. The blowhard with Napoleon syndrome who spends more time out of the kitchen schmoozing rather than cooking and helping his line cooks empty the TV dinner trays onto people's plates and say Bon Appetite.

Ordered 2 NY Strip steaks Medium Rare, both steaks came back Medium Well to Well at best. We returned the steaks. Second round of steaks came the same, only slightly pink no where the Medium Rare we requested. I reached out to 3 anonymous patrons to look for opinions on steaks, 2 stated that both were far from Medium Rare more like Medium Well to Well at best. The other patron refused comment because of alliance with Franks restaurant. After strong disagreement with Frank I paid the 400 plus dinner bill being penalized for the inexperienced and incompetent cook and unreasonable, unprofessional owner. Unfortunately after being a long time patron of this restaurant I will never return to be disrespected again.

Reservations made for 6:15, table not ready and we were asked by owner’s wife to wait at the bar. This is the third time this has happened in less than a year after making reservations in advance and each time, the owners couldn’t care less… no remorse, no apology. The owners have very little respect for their customers as shown several times. The owners purposely overbook which leads to customers waiting for a table and very long wait times. Ended up walking out and going to Nicks in a Endicott where we had a delicious meal with great service. The contrast could not be more obvious. Very disappointed with Franks, yet again.

I just want to preface by saying I’ve always heard to stay away from this place and beware the owner and honestly I wish I listened. We booked this place for my bridal shower and unfortunately had to cancel two weeks before, because of Franks disgusting attitude and unprofessionalism. Please go somewhere else like Cacciatore’s

I really, really want to like Franks. I am Italian, grew up in Endicott and don’t live too far from the restaurant. We have been there 3 times to give it a fair chance. The first time, we were seated at a table in the middle of the restaurant. We waited quite a long time for someone to bring us menus and ask us what drinks we wanted before we finally asked for some help. Someone finally came but they continued to “forget”/ignore us throughout our meal. We went back 2 more times, again, to give it a chance. Service wasn’t as bad as the first time but still didn’t seem like the wait staff had any interest in serving us. We felt like Frank and his staff had their regulars and/or favorites and didn’t have any interest in other customers. The food was good though.

The worst pizza I've ever had in my life. Tried a Vodka rigatoni pizza. It was the driest piece of pizza I've ever had in my life. It was 32 bucks for 13 slices. Never ever eating anything from this place again!

I usually do not write reviews but after our appalling experience at Franks tonight I thought it important. We arrived promptly at 6:30 for our 6:30 reservation. We were greeted and asked to wait in the lounge and that it would just be "a couple minutes while they turn over tables." We entered the lounge that was full of other patrons also waiting for tables. After 35 minutes of waiting and the lounge clearing out of other patrons we inquired about when our table would be ready receiving a curt response that it would just be a few more minutes while the tables were cleaned. There were at least 5 empty, made up tables, at this time and after some pushback were seated right away. We waited about 10 minutes before we were greeted by our server and another 10 minutes for water and soda. We ordered Calamari that was so overcooked it was like chewing on rubber bands and all 4 of us had to eat off the same plate as no appetizer plates were provided. We received our salads, my wedge salad came with the wrong dressing and was missing the blue cheese crumbles, I had to flag down another server to get the correct dressing as we had not seen ours since she took our order. When she finally came back around we asked for bread, we waited another 10 minutes before asking another employee for bread and then another 10 minutes before asking a 3rd employee for bread, we received our bread 1 hr and 45 minutes after arriving. We completely understand this was a busy night with Fathers day but there was no point in the evening when our server stopped to apologize and to lets us know the kitchen was backed up, instead we see other tables around us getting attention from their servers and receiving their meals and refills in a timely manner. In fact the table seated next to us had their server at their table 6 times in the first 10 minutes they were there which is more than we saw ours in the entire 2.5 hours we were there. We waited an extremely long time for our entree's to arrive and as my Father got up to let the host know we would be leaving our food arrived. Once we were eating our meals the owner stopped over to see how our experience was going and we told him it was not going well, he asked what was wrong but before we could fully articulate all the evenings mishaps he started making excuses about the night being busy and that "the girls" were doing the best they can. He did not offer an apology nor solutions to make the experience any better and did not give us the opportunity to actually tell him what was wrong. The entree's were adequate but nothing to write home about. The Veal was slightly overcooked and another entree came out with the wrong pasta. We finished our meals and as we were exiting my Father stopped just to let the owner know the service was inadequate and that he would have a hard time coming back to which Frank replied "good, get out of here and don't come back! You aren't a good person." Never have I experienced this behavior from an owner in the hospitality industry and needless to say we will not be returning. Consider yourself warned.

If I could give negative stars, I WOULD! NEVER, EVER, EVERRRRR GO HERE! We had a reservation, 7/11/2024. we were pointed to our table by the Owner, Frank LoPiccolo, and then left alone. NOBODY acknowledged us, not even to get us drinks, not to let us know someone would be with us shortly, NOTHING! We were waiting 15-20 minutes before my Dad nicely asked the Owner, where our waitress was, (MIND YOU it was not busy! There were 2 other tables occupied there), and the Owner IMMEDIATELY got into my Father’s face and got verbally aggressive saying “I could have left you all in the lounge! You don’t deserve to eat here! People like you don’t deserve to be here!” My dad replied “people like you? A Vetern?!” Frank continued being aggressive, So, we all got up to leave, where he then begged us to stay, and when we didn’t, he said “Just Get Out!!” I asked Frank to move out of my way so I could leave, and he said to me “this is my restaurant, I’ll stand where I want to!” Absolutely disgusted with this experience. Located in Maine, NY Owner: Frank LoPiccolo

Went for valentine's day with a reservation and had to wait 40 minutes to be seated after showing up on time. We did not get any service for over 10 minutes. There was a pre-fix menu with jacked up prices to the cheapest thing being a $50 chicken vodka parm so we got up and left. They really don't care about the customer just money they overbooked like crazy.

Will never in my life step foot in this place. The owner is rude , arrogant and ruined my husband's birthday. Hes a little man with a napoleon complex. Disrespectful and degrading to the very people who keep him in business. Please dont come here for any special event as you will leave infuriated. Almost every bad review has to do with Frank ....maybe he should take that into consideration as he looks towards his future plans there. Honestly he deserves to run his restaurant right into the ground so maybe he should keep up his despicable behavior
