No secret, I enjoy Jack in the Box. This place stands out because the food is actually good. I did not rate atmosphere because of drive thru service.

Stopped by before heading to the mountains for a hike. There was plenty of parking and a few people there. Good to get a quick bite to eat. Was greeted by another customer as he walked inside. We talked and shared some good laughs. Kindness goes a long way.

My go to for junk food. The fries are always hot and crispy. The tacos are delicious and don’t forget the onion rings. Everything is delicious here and the staff is really friendly and efficient.

Jack in the box offers a verstoord menu with a nice number of options. As we don't have the chain in the country I live in, i went for their classic buttery Jack. This burger has a self made bun with 1 patty, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, ketchup, mayo. It's buttery without being greasy. The toppings in the burger are well measured so it doesn't get too heavy to eat. The bun is great. One of the best burger chains out there, way better than McDonald's or Burger King.

I live in Florida and these are not available here. Anytime I get to travel my wife and I make it a point to get some. From their tacos to burgers, their food is good. It's a great change from the other fast food burger places. It may not be everyone's cup of tea but if you haven't tried it late night after some drinking, you're missing out 😁

Can’t remember last time I went to a Jack in the Box- but here we were at the hotel next door for 2 nights, with its restaurant shut down. So, where can one walk to early in the morning nearby to grab some coffee? And heck, might as well get breakfast, too! Good prices, good coffee, tasty breakfast (for fast food) and super friendly staff. She even remembered us from the day before!

Fantastic restaurant. Our service was excellent and we were seated by our server outside overlooking the beautiful beach and Pacific Ocean on our own private table. I ordered the fresh catch of the day Swordfish. It was excellent. It came with fried zucchini and a double cheeseburger on toasted buns with fresh cut fries and fresh cut onions and tomatoes and some fantastic homemade sauce that was delicious on the swordfish. Our waitress was so nice. Because our table was outside across the street she had to walk across the street(PCH) just to make sure we were enjoying our experience. For dessert our waitress brought us the most delicious crab cakes that we have ever tasted along with homemade chocolate ice cream and homemade vanilla ice cream that once again was brought by our waitress from across the street (PCH). Oh yeah, the meal was extremely expensive, between me and my wife we spent $43.13. But well worth it. This is by far the best restaurant in Malibu. The only downside was all the condiments came in small plastic containers. And I thought the name “Jack in the Box” was a weird name for a high end restaurant like this..

OK so hear me out. A lot of people complain and this place has 2 stars on yelp BUT...everyone forgets 1 thing...Food in Malibu is EXPENSIVE...This is where everyone crams in because it is standard price haha!! So yes it gets flooded and no they cant attend every person as they would like to cz again, people lined up out the door cz food is expensive near there, My experience every time I go ain't so bad. You make a line and wait to order and get your order. I asked for a lot of differente condiments and tehy were mroe than happy to give them to me even when the line was at the door. Give these people a break haha! Inr egards to parking, yes they have parking so,no, you don't got to look for parking blocks down the road like pretty much anything in malibu lol. In regards to the taste,,,i mean it's a fast food restaurant..it's standard lol.. Would i return? definitely. Would have been 5 stars until cashier held my money & change and said if I wanted it back that I was going to have to wait for the cops. Luckily the manager showed up before the cops and immediately recognized my $20 bill and told the cashier to give me my food and the whole $20 back. That $20 with the little face is still in my wallet today & I try to use it everywhere in the hopes that the cashier is a young 20 something who has never seen a bill with a small president’s face on it.

I really like how they switched to paper straws and wooden spoons. I ordered a Oreo shake and enjoyed using my wooden spoon to eat it.

On my quest to review every Jack in the Box. This one has been quite a busy one every time I visit, though that's to be expected considering the area it's in. I believe this is the location that makes a brief appearance in the background of an episode of "The Rockford Files" which is pretty cool knowing its stuck around since then. Food quality was great, and considering how busy it gets, my order didn't take that long to complete. Only thing that disappointed me were 2 teenage employees who were making fun of my order thinking I couldn't hear them. Overall, it's a great location. Would Jack again. Friday oct 27 12:30 luch time Clean dining area and restroom Fast attentive cashiers and kitchen staff Delicious food. Seriously the number 12 combo. chicken something soo good. AND its located just opposite of the Malibu Pier. So convenient and easy to spot. My one concern is the parking. What the heck only space for 12 cars that includes the handicap spot. Aside from that the only other thing to note is the dining area. It's split in 2 one is on the inside and the other outside interesting. It's good to have a choice and decide between indoor dining and soaking up some sun while eating tasty burgers. Absolutely recommend this Jack in the box.

This place used to be a 5 star fast food place. I remember years ago my bread was always fluffy. The condiments were proportional my burger looked like the one in the picture. I have been to this location for over 8 years everytime i would visit malibu i would stop here. From my last experience . I doubt ill go after covid 19 . If the same management still operates it. I didnt even get napkins. I remember when you guys are wore ties even the cook. It wasnt even busy when i went just a car in front of me and a pick up truck. My longest review by far cause this one did hurt when the service went out. And get getter head sets in the drive trough we are in Malibu .

Same Jack in the Box food. The service, well, the employees act like they HAVE TO be snobs...but they have to also remember where they came from. Sometimes they need to be humbled-up. Props for the workers there that dont let the language barrier be an issue for that area.

Ok so the food was very good, which I didn't find indifferent from other locations. However the cashier, Carlos, was terrible. He was slow and got our order wrong in many ways. I had to get in line again to order what he missed. He also made me very uncomfortable; I wouldn't be surprised if he liked minors because he just looks so creepy and kept looking at me weird. This location would be better off without him.

They missed my mobile order and I had to tell them about it and have them make it. We waited about 15 minutes at least. This was my “chocolate” shake.

Friendly staff and the floor was just cleaned when we arrived but atmosphere was still bad. Wanted to get out of there again asap.

Lots of homeless and there's a lady who sleeps in her van in the parking lot. The food is exactly what you would expect for a fast food joint. At least I was able to use my EBT to buy tacos for me in my mom so that was great. You need a code for the bathroom which is not that great. Some people like to take forever in the bathroom also not great.

Food was subpar compared to other fast food chains. This is the first experience I've had with the chain, so I can't comment specifically on this location. I would have enjoyed a microwavable burger from a supermarket more.

The employees are usually nice but they always forget something when ordering to-go, especially when using the drive thru. Make sure to check your bag before you leave. Hope you didn't really want those fries... or salad dressing... or utensils... or soda.

Very run-down and dirty. They obviously don't spend anything keeping the premises up. Food was typical Jack in the Box: burgers and fries were tasty, and the tacos were exceptionally greasy. If there were anywhere else to go for the same money, we would have. But, there's not much else around, except an equally lousy KFC, so we went here.

Overly salted breakfast sandwich was such a disappointment. The eggs were poorly cooked on what seemed like an unclean grill based on all the black stuff crusted on the egg itself. Ruby, the woman at the drive thru was very friendly and helpful, which is the reason for the 2 stars.

The employee was extremely rude and condescending. We waited patiently for our food, it was ready and sitting under the warmer. The employee is looked at it and continued to clean other areas behind the counter. We waited patiently and she finally brought our order to us. The food was not good, we ended up tossing it out and left.

Went on a trip to USA with friends and visited many fast food chains (McDonalds, Wendy’s, Farmer boy’s, Burger King, Chipotle, In-and-out and Jack in a box). Unanimously we decided that this particular location had the worst food of them all. Also, smell inside was as if someone died in there. At least my appetite did for sure. Oh, and vegetarian options are nonexistent.

I ordered a meal with 6 tacos. I then began to wait patiently. 20 minutes passes by as I see other customers getting their orders. The drive thru cashier gave my meal to a drive thru customer. I was overshadowed and complained to by the manager that I already picked up my order when I was standing there the whole time. Just make sure to tell your employees to have good communication. This will be the last time I come here

This place is just bad. First of all, there was nowhere to park, the order taker kept saying he couldn't hear us when we were being loud and clear, he forgot to give us a chicken sandwich and ranch, the soda tastes like trash. I do not recommend this place.

Went here for a one item order, when I arrived to window I was asked for my payment and when I handed credit card it was charged for the wrong order and I was not handed a receipt. I noticed immediately that the order I got was wrong so I pulled around into the parking lot to go inside with the bag of food these guys gave me. However the entrance was locked, but a employee waved me over to the door and just tried to offer me other random items of food. I already handed him the bag of food that was the wrong order and just wanted my money back, however the employee asked me to come inside and after I went inside he locked the door and started getting aggressive about me wanting my money back and no longer wanted any food whatsoever. The employee then asked for my credit card and disappeared with it - when he came back with my credit card he claimed he had returned the money back to my card in a refund but would not let me have a copy of the receipt. He then started calling me by the wrong pronouns and started raising his voice and yelling. I felt really unsafe being locked inside a restuarant as a single female, having aggressive men berating me and acting so disrespectful. I asked to have the door unlocked and grabbed the receipt showing my refund - so I could report incident to management and the police but the employee that had me locked inside refused to let me leave until I started to call the Sheriff dept. I still have not received the refund on my card for the 19.25 dollar charge to my card. I ordered a breakfast burrito and the guy even repeated the order total being 6 dollars and change, so I think these guys are skimming the till I would not be surprised if these guys were canceling out the orders and pocketing the money because they could not even locate my single item breakfast burrito the drive thru cahoer had quoted me the after tax price for. Watch out for this place .

I ordered the chicken bowl. It is by far the best fake chicken Ive ever had. It felt like I was swallowing old seaweed and I LOVE the ocean. Whilst I was digesting, Im pretty sure it mutated inside of me. This was great

The kitchen was filthy. The shake machine was crusted, looked like it hadn't been clean in ages. The dining room floor had trash all over, the tables were not cleared after customers. My daughter and I ordered the chicken strip meal. My chicken was over cooked to the point that it was impossible to chew. I asked for ranch, the two cups (pre-sealed) I received had separated and had pools if oil or something on top, when I opened them. I received incorrect change. I chose not to bring my food complaints to the attention of the employees, for the fear of my food being altered.

If you haven't eaten in three weeks you might enjoy this place. It seems like they are gold diggers. Poor establishment! Nothing good to say about the place. Don't ever come to this restaurant.

Came here because I had a craving for curly fries. The second we walked in, I really wanted to walk out. The inside of the restaurant was smelly and dirty, it just feels really gross even just standing inside the restaurant. Probably one of the worst fast food outlets I've been. We won't be back.

This place needs to be shut down by the health department.It was the worst place,from the minute you walked in it was smelly and felt like a prison the bathrooms didn't have paper towels or soap.The staff were completely clueless of what they were doing.There was 6 people in the restaurant and a25 minute wait for every person. I do not recommend this location in particular, very bad service, they take your order lazily and they deliver everything very late. I ordered 6 tacos and it took more than 20 minutes to deliver them, and the employees do not use any type of gloves to hold the food, especially an old man who is in the fryers, what disgusting staff who owns this location, not eating up anyone's place.

This old grumpy lady with glasses who got the morning shift was rude she yelling to her coworkers in front of everyone. 03-30-23 Stopped at this location to grab a quick burger on my way home...no one in line ahead of me at the order box. I pulled around the corner and a car is at the window...and another at the "wait for your meal" spot. The car at the window has been there a while and the other car in the "special" spot has been there even longer. I don't know how long I waited behind the first car, but it was quite a long while. Then it was my turn. I pull up, hand my card, I was given my drink, then I wait and wait and wait. I notice the car in the special spot (at first I thought that one of the employees had parked their car there) the driver is becoming impatient, I notice that he begins looking back at the window in an annoyed manner ( how can it possibly take this long for my order?) Now I've been waiting for at least 5-6 minutes, I think they must be making fresh items, they're making a new batch of fresh hot fries (now it's been 10 minutes) I get my order and pull away. I put my hand in the bag and pull out my burger, open the wrapper and notice the bun is soggy like it's been sitting for awhile. Ok they had to wait for the fries to get done. I grab some fries...cold and dried out like they've been sitting all day. I have no idea what was going on inside the store that they would serve old cold food. So disappointing. ...and whatever became of the poor guy waiting for his special order?

This place is horrible, we went here because we've had Jack in the Box before and it was fine. We got in line and despite there only being two people in front of us. It took forever! And after we ordered, it took even LONGER! Once we finally got our food, the burgers were horrible, and the fries were tasteless and soggy.

We come here with EBT never have been told they don't take it till today, the lady at the drive thru was very reluctant and said the machine did not work, we asked for her manager because we just used it last night. She closed the window and started speaking in Spanish to the staff came back and ran the transaction. I feel very discriminated against. I am homeless, just like her and any other being I deserve to eat. I think coaching needs to happen.

I think this qualifies for my worst experience at Jack In The box ever they screwed up my order three times in a row and gave me attitude about it first they didn't give me the jumbo Jack that I ordered and then when they did give it to me they gave it to me with cheese when I asked them to not put cheese on it my girl got a smash buttery Jack and it was loaded with thousand island dressing which is not something that comes on that burger she didn't even need it for $7 Burger wound up in the trash the onion rings were old and burnt broken after handling my bags back three times they still forgot my cheesecake the whole fiasco was truly annoying I wouldn't recommend this Jack in the box

I just had the most disgusting tacos. I've been eating these tacos all my life and for whatever reason these cooks dipped my tacos in burnt oil. What a shame. They make good money and they don't care, I guess. This is on PCH / Malibu. 6/26/25 @ 1pm. Last time I buy tacos.

I had a really frustrating experience at Jack in the Box today. I ordered a medium drink and a chicken wrap, and it took no joke over 30 minutes to get my food. The chicken wrap was sitting there ready the entire time, but the employee just didn’t grab it and put it in my bag. The worker at the front was an older heavy set white male who spoke English and Spanish and had no sense of urgency whatsoever. It was only when another employee noticed how long I had been waiting that they realized my food had been sitting there unnoticed the whole time. There was absolutely no reason for this kind of delay, and it was very disappointing. Employee didn’t even apologize for making me wait so long for him not doing his job correctly. This employee definitely needs retraining to learn how to do his job more efficiently. I won’t be returning to this location anytime soon unless changes are made.
