This restaurant is one of an increasing number of tricounty restaurants that has blasted through my expectations. Made from scratch gnocchi with made from scratch everything else. Mushroom sauce heaven. Order the bread so you don’t have to waste a drop. The kitchen staff is extremely talented. And for such a customized dish, food is presented in a very impressive time. The bar staff is friendly, music is serenade volume. Late season enclosed outdoor seating and dining. For the unbelievable quality of the dish, the prices are extremely generous. This is excellent food at a daily or weekly visit price. Top 5 of the year for me.

Stoped here fir a late lunch about a friend and the ambiance is super cute and appealing. The food and drinks are just as good. Highly recommend the spicy margarita it’s not overly spicy or sweet it’s perfect. We also got the fried risotto and sausage also great! I really loved how the pizza is cooked in a brick oven and the sweet and savory pizza choices. I will definitely be going back!

It was my first time going to Cibo Matto Caffe and I was not disappointed. The wait staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the food being severed. The pasta was extremely fresh and well prepared. I definitely recommend visiting.

good food in Mansfield. all the dishes were yummy. the burger meat was a little dry but tasty, regardless. the chef went above and beyond and made ranch for us. service was great, fast and friendly.

Had a great to go meal here when we got to town. The kids ordered a small pizza that was huge. The lobster bisque had massive hunks of lobster. The homemade gnocchi traveled well too. Great place for takeout, I am sure it is even better eating at the restaurant.

5 stars all around! Went here 2 times in 4 days. Both great experiences. The food is delicious, the service is wonderful, and the outdoor patio is wonderful. For dessert, save room for the brownie with ice cream. Parking looks like it could be a challenge on a busy night. There were not many spots left in the parking lot when we were there on a Friday night. Make a reservation, as they do get crowded.

Went for dinner and it was delicious. We usually order the pizza and a few drinks, but today we decided to have a little dinner. My husband ordered the 12 oz steak and it was quite delicious. I ordered off the specials and had the tuna albacore which was awesome. Also on the specials menu was dessert....pistachio cake was phenomenal. Certainly enough for 2. Even brought some home. Service was excellent. Took a pizza home.

Recommended to me from a friend. Everything about the visit was great. Really nice building and outside seating. Service was one of the best we ever had. Food was very good. The drink menu and drinks themselves were some of the best in the area. Highly recommend.

Had no complaints on service or food quality. Everything was quite nice. Perhaps prices are a bit on the high side. Sat outdoors, heaters kept everything comfortable.

My favorite place for lunch. They have a great variety of dishes to choose from.. The beer & wine selections are great, too. Love their salads, ro which you can add several protein options. Warm encrusted goat cheese is my go to with grilled salmon - yum.

First time dining at Cibo Matto and it was outstanding...from the Ceasars salad, to the wine to the shrimp scallop dinner with truffle sauce. Will definitely be back!

Last minute plans landed us here. I was so impressed by the food and the service! I had fried oysters, stuffed blossoms and an amazing watermelon cucumber martin. Everyone in the group was happy with their food and drinks.

Quaint upscale Italian food. Have been here a few times and have never been disappointed. The outside patio is comfortable with heating for the colder weather. Good drink menu as well.

I visited Cibo Matto Caffe and had a fantastic experience. The gnocchi and arancini were both absolutely delicious, and the warm spinach salad was the perfect complement to my meal. Additionally, I was impressed with the quality of the drinks, which were both tasty and strong. I highly recommend Cibo Matto Caffe to anyone looking for a great dining experience.

OH MY GOD!!! The food here is not good, not great, but spectacular. I would really recommend eating here for any new comers of mansfield. Five stars!

Food is always excellent. UPDATE. Service is usually good. We sat at a high top today for the first time ... Disappointing. We could see that our bartender-waiter was working his butt off but may have been over committed resulting in poor service all around. 1 star. I still recommend this restaurant but I'd avoid the high tops at all costs.

My first time here with my family - and we really enjoyed everything. The service was exceptional from a very accommodating and friendly waitress. Everything was served promptly. The food was excellent. I had a shrimp and scallop dish with tortellini. Very good! We’ll be back for sure!

Excellent local restaurant! The food is amazing , They change the menu every season. This winter they re introduced the fried oysters! Try them! Yummy is an understatement!!!. I am fish guy and the Monk fish special is over the top!! Best drink as well! Adriana and Jess make the best drinks! Italian style dinning! You can’t go wrong with any pasta! Highly recommended

We ate lunch outside since the weather was pleasant. I had the goat cheese salad and oh my word - the cheese was so tangy and smooth. My husband has the gnocchi and ate the entire serving. We didn’t have any apps or dessert, but will be back to try other things on the menu.

Cibo Matto has consistently exceeded my expectations with the quality of its food. The shrimp and scallop dish, my personal favorite, is a must-try. The seafood is so fresh and flavorful. If you’re in the mood for a salad, the goat cheese salad is the way to go. The fried goat cheese patty served over a bed of arugula is especially delicious. The ambiance at Cibo Matto is warm and inviting, making it a great spot for a family dinner or a night out. I can’t say enough great things!

Cibo Matto Caffe is a casual Italian eatery in Mansfield, MA, with medium-sized facilities that can accommodate family gatherings and they have easy, free parking. The raw oysters were sourced from Duxbury, MA (60-90 minutes outside of Boston) and were a refreshing and light start for the meal. The appetizer with six medium-sized scallops were seared with a nice brown crust and crispy prosciutto bits that deepened the flavor. The scallops were served on a smear of sweet potato puree. The herbed half chicken was rich and moist with gravy, mashed potatoes, and asparagus. We requested fresh sliced jalapeños, which added a great heat and freshness to the dish. The shrimp flatbread was topped with juicy shrimp, chopped Roma tomatoes, mozzarella, garlic, and basil. The crust was slightly dry around the edges and the flavor profile varied a decent amount between bites. The pistachio cake was a mix of lady fingers and a light pistachio cream peppered with maraschino cherries. The cherries provided a burst of tartness and moisture that added variety to the bites. The Cannolis had a firm shell and a creamy filling. A touch more flavor complexity would elevate them. When seated outside during the evening, there were many heaters to keep the party warm in the cozy, enclosed patio. It was a bit warm for me, so I would sit inside for subsequent dinner visits. Special thanks to our server, Nikki, who shared her recommendations and insights on the food and drink menus. Appreciate her professional service!

Everything I've tried here - cocktails, lattes, soups, burgers, pizzas, tacos - have been really tasty and flavorful. The pizza prices are fair, but some of the other items on the menu are a bit overpriced ($8 for one taco, $12 for a small bowl of soup). They do offer some gluten free options for those who need/want it (I'm not sure if gluten free pizza is offered, though). In terms of atmosphere, it's a good place for a date night or a nice lunch/dinner. Could be romantic or more casual dress. There are hightop tables, patio seating, and a bar inside and outside.

Great quality dishes with local ingredients. House made breads = crusty comfort food. Portions are generous. I ordered the special roast pork panino with a side cesar salad. I paired that with Maine Lunch IPA on draft. Kids loved their burger and cheese pizza.

Gone here several times and love it !! Great drinks, food and service. We had mussels this time n we were disappointed but this has been the only time disappointed with any of their food. It is a smaller place so does get easily crowded as they are always busy. The outside patio is excellent!!

The food was great. The wings were juicy and freshly made. The pizza was flavored just right (not too salty). The service was great. The only issue was that when we made the reservation they did not tell us we only had a 1 1/2 “time slot” and not having seen our friends in 5 years, we felt rushed and had to take part of our conversation our in the parking lot.

They have a great selection of food. Their wait staff is friendly and efficient. They have 2 tiers of outdoor seating; one enclosed with overhead heating and one completely outside.

One of the best places where we had an authentic Italian wood fire 🔥 pizza.. This place is very crowded during weekends. We had to wait for 30 mins to get a table. As soon as we enter we will be welcomed with a smile from one of the members. Start eating the pizza counter where the wood 🔥 pizza is made. You will forget about the wait time and you don’t feel waited. The entire place has a bar counter and seating for food. You will be served various types of breads and it is different from bread served at other Italian places. And followed by your menu..

This rating is for the meal that I had. I had the chicken picatta. I ordered angel hair pasta. The pasta was thicker than angel hair and overcooked. The flavor was good, but the sauce was more of a broth. The bred was very good. I would go back to try other dishes, but this was not the best.

The herb crusted goat cheese salad was unreal. Eggplant and ricotta pizza was average. Was missing something with bite. All the flavors were a bit bland.

Great luncheon spot with tasty fresh Neapolitan style pizza outdoor dining is classy, but unfortunately next to a loud main Street.

Lovely place, the service was good and server made suggestions for the food. My seafood Diavola was good but salty. Overall is a good place to go. The margarita was great!

We had a spontaneous dinner here. The restaurant is nicely decorated and the lighting is low so it has a subdued feel. The Bolognese was excelled and so was the Chicken Marsala. Our server was friendly and helpful. We will definitely go again to try out more of the menu

I really love this restaurant. They are always so professional, they keep it very clean. The service is excellent, the food is always delicious. Now, for the 2 things I don't like.... Only 2. 1. The traffic noise when you are sitting in their outside patio dining area. It's very loud and takes away from the dining experience. 2. The portion sizes compared to the cost of the dish. It seems that they could be a little more generous with their pasta dishes for the price. For example, $19. For Spaghetti and meatballs, and it's about 1 cup of cooked Spaghetti and 2 golf ball sized meatballs. It would be nice if they gave you a little bit more spaghetti for that price. It could be done with any pasta dish really. Everything else is well worth the price!

I have tried this place a few times over the years, but they always seem to be hit or miss. The ambiance and decor is nice and the cocktails are great. Some items are decent, but most things don't seem to be worth the price tag. Whatever you do, don't order the pizza, it's horrible.

Can't give 5 stars, won't give 1. The food is delicious, but come on, $26 bolognese and yall can't even fill the take out container? That's really a shame. I would truly love to know - is this portion size accurate? Was the chef just a little light handed? Is it because I didn't leave a tip on a takeout order? I've dined in here plenty of times and gotten pasta. I'm a big boy - I can eat a ton of it and still have leftovers to bring home. Tonight's order was basically just the "leftover" portion. For $26. Inflation be damned, this is just insulting and I regret ordering from here.

I am bummed to write this because I have historically never had a bad food experience until recently. The food taste and quality has drastically declined in the last few years. This was a gem. A great middle ground for my friends and I from RI and north shore but due to the food, I will not be going back. The positives are the ambience and staff is so amazing! I adored my girls nights there over the last 10 years. It was comfortable, calm and relaxed. If only the food was consistent.

Good food, freshly prepared, some pricey dishes have small portions. Bit of price gouging, like $24 for Mac n Cheese! What? Although it is outstanding. Beware they charge extra for a mundane small bread basket that they dont tell you isn't free. Be prepared for a noisy drinking crowd, day or night. Alcoholic beverages seem to be a focus of the place, like some chi chi big city cafes. I'd go back but be more selective on ordering. Sauce is really nice & hard to find these days.

I am not using my real name because I’d prefer to not receive backlash. I usually enjoy coming here and the food and service are always great, but our last visit a few weeks ago on a Saturday, was disappointing because of how we were treated when we arrived. We had called ahead to let them know we’d be running a little late, but when we got there, the short brown haired manager at the front was very rude. She sighed, rolled her eyes, and didn’t say anything when we gave her our name. It felt unnecessarily unpleasant. A taller woman, who later said she was also a manager but I did not get her name either, stepped in and kindly told us it would just be a minute while the other one figured it out. Eventually, the first manager muttered “fine, they can go outside” without ever looking at us or asking if that was okay. A younger hostess brought us quickly, she seemed almost nervous but mentioned the specials menus. The food itself was excellent, and our server, Garrett, gave phenomenal service. He was attentive but also very personable. The taller manager checked in on us during our meal and even turned off a warmer above our table when we asked, which we appreciated. The only other unpleasant moment was when I asked the shorter manager where the restroom was, she ignored me completely, and another staff member had to help. I don’t know if she was having a bad night, but she’s come across cold and flustered before too. She might be better suited to a role that isn’t customer facing, because the rest of the team seems to really care about guests’ experience.

We went for the first time this past weekend with high hopes. We liked the atmosphere although we were packed in pretty tight by the bar and it was loud. The server was very attentive and friendly however our food took SO long to come out and we think she may have forgotten to put our order in. A couple sat at the bar about a half hour after us and their food came before ours. Another couple sat at the high top next to us about 45 minutes after we sat down and their food was on the table within 2 minutes of ours. After the meal a hostess came to our table to apologize for how long it took for the food to come out. I dont think that she would have even known this unless the waitress had spoken to her about forgetting to put our order in possibly... The bread and oil was delicious but cannot believe that they charge for bread, never herd of this before. They have a quite extensive wine list which was great however we ordered a $68 bottle of wine and they brought out a $48 bottle by the same winery. I checked the vintage and it was the wrong bottle. The server checked on the more expensive vintage but they were out of it so we agreed to keep the bottle. I regret not checking the bill to see if they charged us for the more expensive wine but that was my fault. The meals that we got had a good portion size but the sauce was very bland, the chicken was tough and the pasta tasted like a store brand out of a box. It was a very underwhelming and disappointing meal for the expensive prices. Overall we really wanted to love this place but we left disappointed.

I was really disappointed with my experience here. The service was poor from the start — our food took far too long to arrive, and after waiting 25 minutes we were finally told that the ravioli I had ordered was no longer available. I switched to to the gnocci which was very bland. On top of that, they charge extra for bread, which felt like a nickel-and-dime move for a sit-down restaurant. Overall, the evening felt frustrating and not worth the time or money. Definitely not the dining experience I was hoping for.

Stopped here for lunch. My husband ordered a burger. They emphasize that it comes with a slice of beefsteak tomato. Well, this slice was probably about a week old. He asked for another. It came, he put his burger together and took a bite. Decent. But my son then spotted a long hair sticking out of the burger… grey and black. While waiting for the waitress to come to the table, my husband picked up the Pattie and looked at the underside to see there was a finger hole in it. Hoping that was from a gloved hand, although doubtful. It took about 15 min for our waitress to return to the table. Although you knew it was reluctantly after the whole tomato incident. He explained the hair. She took the plate and asked if he wanted another . The answer was a “NO thank you”. The burger was obviously taken off the bill. To begin with, the parking is a disaster. The fact that you must pay for the bread is cheesy. Suggestions to offer free bread for the amount of patrons at the table and if they ask for more, then charge. I would think that would be covered by the cost of the $22 burger that was served with less than a handful of fries. My husband also went to the restroom to find that it was gross with paper towels and toilet paper strewn all over the floor and toilets and urinals dirty, even for a public place. The place is a disaster. Last time coming here

This used to be a great place to go. I would bring the family every so often, especially for pizza, which was our favorite. However, they changed their menu a while back and now charge a large price for a small-sized pizza. There is no large pizza anymore. Ridiculous in this economy. Staff was never the friendliest either. The place just it isn't even the same. Won't be coming back.

M

Worst food. Service could be better. To start my sangria was mostly soda water didn't taste like wine at all. Appetizers were inedible and not fresh. Our meals were inconsistent with 2 of the same. Pasta was under cooked. A Mac and cheese meal was inedible and we had to ask to be taken off bill. The bread crumb topping was so hard felt like it could break a tooth. After telling the server about it and we asked for it to be taken off bill- which it was no problem. The server seemed to disappear and stopped tending to our table. Finally at the end we received the bill and server stood right over us waiting for tip to be selected. Super uncomfortable
