First time back after new management and the improvement was immense. Food great service was fantastic . Entertainment great (Ricky never disappoints) enjoyed si much have booked to go back again .

The new owners Leonora and Ben have started to put their mark on the place and have a wonderful team around them, who offer top quality service on every visit. Whether enjoying a meal and family entertainment on a weekend or grabbing a beer while waiting for a takeaway pizza you are always guaranteed a good welcome. One of our favourite places on Mijas Golf.

Have been to El Golf Restaurant for food and drinks numerous times while on my recent vacation. Staff are very friendly. Food is absolutely fantastic. great value for money. Would highly recommend.

Very good food and a fair choice to suit most people, including a child's menu. Fair prices, friendly staff, the only downer for me, is it can take a while to get served, as I think staffing levels need to be addressed at busy times, other than that its a great place for a night out. Excellent top class live entertainment most Saturdays (booking advisable) on the outside stage with the backdrop of a large lake on mijas golf. Also a good place to watch the many bats flying overhead at dusk on the way to feeding over the golf course. Highly recommended

Under New Management Annette and I have visited this place on many occasions in our 25 year history. We enjoy most, if not all, of the entertainment that is provided here during the summer months and the Christmas festivities also look good although we've booked and planned elsewhere. The location is easy to find and offers ample parking. Just off the Coin Road, Las Lagunas near Fuengirola.

Our club had our Christmas party here. It was fabulous, the food was great considering they were catering for nearly 40 of us. Most moist Turkey I have had in years. Great friendly fast and efficient service. Haven’t been here for years but will definitely be going back again. Thank you and well done!

Visited on Friday 9th for our last meal before back home to the UK. Our second visit during the holiday, Friendly staff and owners. Delicious food, great views and good menu.

We had a wonderful menu of the day which changes on a regular basis. Today we had a delightful broccoli and stilton soup followed by a tasty hearty Chicken, Leek and Mushroom Pot Pie which isn’t for the faint hearted! All service comes with a welcoming smile. First time we have visited and was lucky we went on entertainment night. We just went in for a cocktail and ended up staying for dinner and more drinks. Definitely worth a visit and will be returning. Staff and Manager all very friendly. 👍

What a great find. On the edge of Mijas golf course with great views is this wonderful restaurant. We booked our table for five adults and two children, when we got there, we were given three choices of where our table could be, High level inside, in the lovely garden, or in the semi covered conservatory. We spent a little bit of time in each of these areas. Staff were amazingly friendly and attentive, food was top quality and price was very fair. I would strongly recommend visiting.

Wonderful pub/restaurant, always feel at home, never want to leave! All staff are amazing! Pie night on Sunday is Amazing! Cant wait for our next visit!

Really friendly staff. Lovely lager! And beautiful setting, over looking Mijas Golf and mountains. Food prices aren’t cheap but you’re paying for quality. We had fish n chips and it’s one of the best we’ve ever had.

We always love going to this restaurant. A warm welcome awaits and the food is delicious. Our recent meal with entertainment by Alexandra Avery had everyone up and dancing and had the whole family engaged (even 3 teenage boys enjoyed it!)

Had dinner there two evenings. Starters were ok and nice (pil-pil and shrimpcoctail) Both evenings the main course was not ok. I ordered Sirloin steak and Angus Entrecote. Both not tender, too well done. And I had to waite at least ten minutes for the pepper sauce after I was served the steak. It seerms like its not only the kitchen having challenges.. The staff brought food and drinks to the tables, but they did not know which table to be served. They really need a lesson and better meat. They advertize Angus - I dont know if it's an undcle som what..

We’ve dined here on odd occasions over the past 18 years as our casa is nearby and each time I vow never to bother returning. The place has barely changed in all that time. It’s dreary with no atmosphere, the menu is uninspiring and the quality of the food is poor. I always feel like I can’t wait to leave! The only positive thing is the view across the golf course. * Just heard that the restaurant has changed hands! Fantastic news! Will definitely go back soon for a new experience! Good food but staff too busy to serve us desert. Managed to wave one down for drinks and condiments. Gave up waiting for bill and got up and went to bar to ask. Such a shame as it could have been our local. 2 waiters not enough,And not their fault.

Waited ridiculously long time for drinks ro be brought. A main was brought out with starters. Clearly when taken back to the kitchen it was sat for 10 mins and brought out again lukewarm. We were told it would be taken off the bill. It wasn't. We had to ask for it to be taken off. Told there were tech problems that night. Food was average, no more than that. The owners walking around asking if everything was OK every ten minutes would've been better spending their time sorting out the issues. We were there to enjoy a night with entertainment - the entertainment couldn't be faulted though I think a patio heater on stage would've helped keep him warm on a windy cool night. Not our best night out by a long way

Having used the restaurant for more than 30 years, last night has changed my opinion. 2 of the previous owners were personal friends and have enjoyed the time we visited. The menu is on the table as a place mat I ordered a prawn cocktail and a pint of beer, 3 prawns only in the dish beer half a litre. To follow I ordered a pizza, and beer, same thing half a litre, pizza was good. Asked for the bill, the prawns on the menu 7-75 on the bill 9-75 same with the pizza 7-25 on the bill 9-25 I asked why and was told menu no other explanation I paid and left

What a terrible experience never again. Owner has no clue on customer service and hospitality seems to be learning on the job. Waited ages for drinks then food offered no pre dinner olives or anything. Sat for an hour with nothing. would not return and then chased for payment of 2 drinks after waiting for an hour We should have charged for our time ! This man has owned the bar for 3 years so please discount any good reviews earlier than that as it is not him.

dont get a beer from draft they give you one fulled of other people drinks you can see ben doing that from the bar ...any one can see it just lok to it i was a sheme of taking beer to the person

There is a nice chap who seems to be the Manager who is polite and friendly. A good start. If you are getting drinks only then this is a nice place to be. However if you are planning to eat here, be prepared for a very poor experience. The menu is ok at best - lots of pizza and pasta options (probably taking up two thirds of the main course menu choices) so a shadow of El Golf from the past. We were a table of 7, arriving at 830pm. Starters took over 30 minutes to arrive. When they did, we had to remind the waiter of our order for Camembert and even after what was a 40 min wait by this time, it was stone cold throughout. Had to send it back, but no offer of a replacement. Chips ordered with the main meal also arrived with the starter so needed to send them back. Main courses arrived after 1 hour 45 minutes. So so late but no real acknowledgment. Food was generally ok but the chicken and mushroom pasta was not great. At the end of the evening the owner came to us and said he understood we did not enjoy the pasta. My mother in law politely explained that she felt it was quite dry and too salty, but the owner told her she was wrong!! I then said we waited 1hr 45 for the main course (noting young children at the table) and he said “well you can look at the golf course”. The owner came across as rude and belligerent. Seems to be too set in his ways yet doesn’t seem to understand why every other local restaurant (Hoyo 19, Atoro and La Morena) are all full whereas El Golf is miles off that. Sadly, despite being just up the road, we won’t be returning for food again. So many better options available.

What a total nightmare. This place should be a goldmine. Yet the present owners still don't have it right. We attended a function and everything was a shambles from the service to the food. The D.J was great but organised by the host . Its expensive and no one seems to know what they're doing. As much as the staff tried it was just a disaster. I hope they improve.

Zuerst haben wir einen Tisch um 20 Uhr bestellt für 10 Personen. Wurden erstmal in die Pralle Sonne gesetzt und warten geschickt obwohl wir um 20 Uhr reserviert hatten wurde uns gesagt das wir noch nicht essen bestellen können und es ihnen ja leid tut. Ich bin aber der Meinung wenn man für 10 Personen einen Tisch um 20 Uhr reserviert und wir schon ca. 1/3 der Leute im Restaurant ausgemacht haben man dann auch bei der Reservierung bescheid sagen kann!!! Nachdem alle anderen ihr Essen bekommen hatten im Restaurant konnten wir endlich mal um 21 Uhr nach zahlreichen Getränken (Wie vom Restaurant wahrscheinlich extra gewollt) unser Essen bestellen. Nach noch einer halben Stunde warten konnten wir endlich 90 min nach der Ankunft essen. Das Essen an sich ist nicht schlecht finde sogar die Lasagne gut ist halt für 16€ gefühlt nix oder eher eine kleine Portion. Der Service war nicht gut es wurden mehrmals Bestellungen gebracht die wir nicht bestellt hatten und die Wartezeit war unangebracht. Für mich gab es das Gefühl wir werden ja sowieso als Urlauber bald nicht mehr hier sein also bedienen wir erstmal die anderen wir können ja warten…

Pedimos ensalada, nuggets congelados de pollo y una pizza. Eramos los únicos comensales del restaurante y tardaron como una hora en servirnos. No volvimos. Quizá el restaurante esté bien para tomar una copa.

El personal lo mejor el dueño de lo peor, caro y malo!!! Mejor ir a otros lados cercanos.
