I came to for a quick drink on a Thursday night and I ended up staying to dine in… this place is an absolute gem. There were new owners that took over in 2024 and since then this restaurant/bar has been exceeding all expectations. Not only are the dishes absolutely delish but the drinks are a perfect balance of flavor and liquor. I had the pleasure of meeting Oscar, my waiter, who made my experience a 10000/10. I will definitely be coming back here!
Came here for my girlfriend's birthday and the food was absolutely delicious, and their green tomato sauce was filled with exquisite flavors. Our server Oscar was there always being attentive and La Catrina did a presentation for deserts of the birthday girl and everything was such a chill and amazing vibe.
Such a nice place! The food was amazing, everyone was so kind, and manager Tito made us feel right at home. Loved it!
Immediately the atmosphere is very cozy and inviting. The food was immaculate, perfectly cooked steak and amazing tacos Al Pastor. The drinks were very well made and the customer service was amazing.

We recently visited La Catrina in Queens, and Oscar was our waiter. He was absolutely wonderful , attentive, friendly, and genuinely thoughtful throughout our visit. We were celebrating my mother’s 77th birthday, and Oscar helped make the evening feel special and smooth from start to finish. The service was excellent, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was perfect for a family celebration. Thank you, Oscar, for making our experience memorable. We’ll definitely be back!

⭐️⭐️⭐️ I celebrated my 46th birthday at La Catrina, and it was absolutely amazing! The ambience was warm and lively, with great music and energy. Our waiter Oscar was fantastic — so friendly, attentive, and made the night extra special. The food was fresh and delicious from start to finish. We had guacamole and calamari to start, and the chips and salsa were some of the best I’ve ever had! My fish tacos and chicken rollatini were cooked perfectly, and the sangrias were amazing. We ended with churros and tres leches for dessert — both so good! As a local from the neighborhood, I’m thrilled to have such a great spot nearby. Can’t wait to go back! 🎉🌮🍹🍰
10/10 food, atmosphere, and service! Our server was Oscar (the Peruvian) he is very attentive. We ordered the corn salad as appetizers, chicken fingers and fries for our kids, shrimp tacos and Parillada for 2. Also live music 🎶. 💯 recommend this delicious Mexican restaurant.
Hidden gem in Maspeth. Great and authentic Mexican food . Drinks were great (we had the mezcalita, yum!) Oscar treat us like family and we got to listen to an amazing mariachi band. What else can you ask for?
The place has beautiful decor,I really loved all the details. We sat at the bar, and our bartender Andres was incredibly welcoming and sweet. I especially loved the coconut margaritas, and the shrimp tacos were tasty too. Wasn’t that hungry, but definitely going back to try more food. They also had live mariachi, and they sang so well, such a fun and enjoyable experience!
Had such a great experience here! I got the steak tacos and they were so juicy, tender, and full of flavor — absolutely delicious. My sister had the birria tacos and loved them too. We also ordered esquites and omg… 10/10. Creamy, flavorful, and just chef’s kiss 🌽✨ The vibe inside is really cute and cozy — such a nice spot to sit and enjoy your meal. The staff was amazing, and our waiter Oscar was super sweet and attentive. Definitely coming back soon!
Excellent place to visit with friends and family. The service is great, and the Mexican cuisine is excellent. I loved the decor and the Day of the Dead theme, a Mexican tradition. I give the food and variety of drinks a 10/10. I highly recommend this place.
My husband and I had a wonderful time at LaCatrina last night. It’s a cozy place with really nice decor. We had delicious chicken nachos and steak fajitas. Great margaritas too! The Owner and staff were very friendly and attentive to us. A bonus was the live mariachi band. Fun night and we totally recommend LaCatrina!
If your celebrating a B-day I recommend going on a Friday, great vibes Mariachis singing and a DJ.. as a first timer without no knowledge we was soo impressed.. let me not talk about the food, we even took it to goooo.. great place and unforgettable moments ❤️

Only issue I had with this place was that they took long but they told me as soon as we came in. It was pack not going to lie. We had croquette crab which is amazing. I had filet mignon with rice. My girl had red snapper. The food was good. The service was good. And the drink was pretty good to me. I seen some bad reviews but seems like it someone that doesn’t like them or their competition….. Amazing spot…. Forgot mention they gave me free dessert :)
Great food and even better service. Ambiance was great too with a mariachi band that put everyone on their feet. Staff is super friendly and very attentive. Overall experience was excellent. I wish I could say the same about the drinks. Much room to improve there. We will be going back soon totally worth it.
The dining area is extremely nice and well set up. It is spacious and clean. The biggest turn off is the music was too loud. They turned it down but it was still loud. Service was good. The servers were attentive, polite, and pleasant. I was not super impressed with the food. It was decent but for the price, I would have expected a bit more. We may return and give it another chance.
