I just had the best chicken sandwich here. It looked exactly like the picture. And it was delicious 😋
Just had the kindest exchange…so whoever the manager is, please note that the lady who made me a sundae with sprinkles…order ID AAEJWNEJAJAB…I didn’t get her name but she made my day, don’t usually come this way but def will more often. 🙏
Love this DQ. Don't get to stop here often but when I do it's always on point. Fast and friendly service, the food is always hot and fresh, and they never get my order wrong. Everything you want from a fast food joint.
I had the best and sweetest experience at this DQ on Friday! I wanted to get sweet, cold treats for football team (stars and stripes were a hit). Suzette greeted me right when I came in, helped me find best option, then helped me load my cooler in the most organized and efficient manner! Above and beyond! The store was super clean. Everyone was so friendly! The GM was super kind and accommodating, as well- I believe her name was Tiwana? Made me want to go back! Such a Texas treasure!
This is not a state of the art location, but it delivers the taste of your youth. A dilly bar or dipped cone on a humid evening. Did you know there are 534 other Dairy Queens in Texas? This one opened in 1962 and it hasn't changed much since then but that's not a bad thing
Went today on taco Tuesday and the lady taking my order Toni was really sweet nice and professional. She greeted my family and I when we walked in. And she came out to check on us to make sure we needed anything. Took our trash and everything. Very good service. Thank you Toni. I will be back to this location.
Went on Sunday for an ice cream and ate inside. The people were nice and the ice cream just like I remembered it. And this store was amazingly clean! Even the bathroom! I was so impressed, because it’s not what you see in a lot of places anymore. The management of this establish has it figured out!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ November 20, 2024 “Step Back in Time at This Retro Gem!” This Dairy Queen at 1835 W. Louisiana St. is a nostalgic masterpiece! The classic 1950s vibe and retro architecture make it stand out from modern fast-food spots—it’s like stepping back in time. We visited late in the evening and were hoping to soak in the interior charm, but the dining room closes at 9:30 PM. Even though we couldn’t go inside, the drive-thru experience didn’t disappoint. The staff were friendly and quick, and our treats were perfectly prepared. The menu delivers all the Dairy Queen classics. From creamy soft-serve cones to iconic Blizzards, it’s a taste of comfort food that never goes out of style. The retro charm combined with great service makes this location a must-visit for anyone who loves a touch of nostalgia with their ice cream. We’ll definitely be back earlier next time to experience the interior charm! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Unfortunately the past 3 times that I have gone to this DQ. They have gotten my order wrong. I asked for 2 Mini Mint Chocolate Chip Blizzards, and they gave me something like vanilla ice-cream mixed with what seems like the heaviest amount of broken up chocolate shell crumbs. Extremely sweet and not a good substitute for what I actually requested and they charged me extra for the non existent "mint candy" twice. Where was the mint flavored ice cream?
Food was OK. I asked for a plain hamburger for my daughter‘s kids meal and it had everything on it which then presented a big issue for her to try to eat it. Service was incredibly poor. The lady taking my order was not very customer service friendly. Very abrasive in her tone. Blizzards were on point as usual though however, she did not know if she was giving me a Heath blizzard or a snickers blizzard.
I like the service. She was nice. I just don't like that they take a long time. I only had one car infront of me and it took about 10 minutes till I got to the window. I also don't like that she didn't tell me the price of how much it costed and said she will tell me my total at the window.
The customer service continues to be disappointing—staff are often inattentive or rude. The food quality is hit or miss; sometimes it’s decent, but other times it’s below expectations with cold or poorly prepared dishes. I still give them chances to improve because occasionally the food surprises me, but overall, the experience remains frustrating. Idk what happen to the old manager but she was the best! Babyyy yall need help.
Drive through speaker didnt work.. was flagged by employee to come to window. Was told to pull into parking spot and they would bring out the food ..Took 17 minutes to get the food and fortunately the employee confirmed the order and it wasn't ours. Chicken strips were hot and tasty. Toast and fries were mediocre.
I have passed this location everyday for almost a year, and there's always a line going out into the street. I was curious what all the hype was about, and honestly I'm confused. The food was meh. Not much else to say. The chicken tenders were over cooked and it kind of tasted like old grease. The fries has a weird rubbery texture, and has a plasticky hint to them. most of the meal was lukewarm to cold. My boyfriend said the burger was alright. But he had to put his own condiments on it for it to taste decent. And his sprite wasn't very carbonated. A little flat. I also didn't like their drink selection for the kids meals. They should have juice boxes of some kind. The price for 2 kids meals, one basket, and one burger combo totalled over 32 dollars. Incredibly expensive for the portions and taste. Not worth the lines out onto the street.
I ordered from The drive-through today! It took them EIGHTEEN minutes to give me my food….in the drive-thru!!! I sat at the window 11 mins and another 8 in a parking spot to the side of the building! My food was COLD! I didn’t want to wait another 18-20 mins more, so I asked for my $$$ back! The girl was soooo rude & told me their computers was down & she couldn’t refund my $$$! I won’t be bringing my business here again!
I haven't been to DQ in about 20 years and it'll probably be another 20 before I go back. First, I specifically asked for the item that was advertised in the window - which was a basket for $6.99. The drive-thru worker kept saying she couldn't hear me and then asked me to pull up to the window and order. I told her specifically "I want the $6.99 basket advertised in the window" and she asked me what drink I wanted with it. I told her, and she rang me up. I also ordered an ice cream. She asked us to park in a parking space while we waited for our food, which we did. While we were sitting there, we went over the receipt and saw that she charged us $12.99 for something that was supposed to be $6.99. I decided to go in so we could fix it. The manager came up front and I explained I was charged $12.99 instead of $6.99. She said it was because I ordered the combo and not the basket. I told her I specifically said I wanted the $6.99 basket and the woman asked what drink I wanted. I didn't know there was a difference between the basket and the combo because we weren't at the menu anymore because she had asked us to pull up and the woman never told us a drink would add $6.00 to our order. The manager said, "that's because they're trained to upsell" and if I want to get the $6.00 refunded I'd have to give the drink back. The entire time I was at the counter, the manager didn't smile or apologize for the confusion or anything. She just looked at me with no emotion on her face or in her voice. I told her I'd just keep the drink but it was deceitful to not mention the drink would cost $6.00 and she needed to tell the drive-thru attendant to inform customers it would be an additional charge for the drink. She just looked at me and said, "okay." When I went back to the car, the food still hadn't come, including the ice cream I ordered. Finally, a young woman came out and asked if I had ordered an oreo blizzard. I told her I hadn't, and then told her what I had ordered. She said she thought we already got that item. I told her we hadnt. She said she made it herself and they must have given it to someone else. She went back in and then the drive-thru attendant came out with the rest of the order. Unfortunately, the ice cream was mostly melted by this point.
These guys have one job. My blizzard was delivered completely melted. The cup was dripping and dirty, and so were napkins that came with us. Our cones were also melting and napkins were dirty.
Ordered a grilled chicken, fries, and blizzard. Waited 15 mins, asked again and got the blizzard. They take out a meal and say its mine, when it was actually my friend’s. Ask again after 10 mins, say “ok” and wait. Ask again after 15 minutes, they tell me “already gave that out,” try to disprove me, then finally make the meal. After 40 minutes. At least they gave me a partial refund (with strange reactions when I asked).
Ordered.online for pickup. They acted like they did my husband some great favor and gave him a free drink. I paid for it with the combo meal. I also ordered a blizzard which i did not get. Tried to call- no answer. Burger was cold.
