Update: Stopped in for lunch for a second time. Tried the garlic chicken teriyaki rice bowl. It was excellent. Stopped for lunch for the first time. Food was very tasty, tried the spider roll, gyoza and chicken karange. Service was great, and quick. Reasonable prices and quality dishes. We will be back for sure!
I went with my family tonight, last minute. Very positive experience overall. The place looks great and love the location. The menu has a lot of great options and the food was on point. The staff was extremely attentive and friendly. Definitely looking forward to making this a go to for us!
Doshi has great food, service, and atmosphere. Is was pleasantly greeted at the door and ushered to my table. I chose the tempura vegetables and ramen to enjoy. The food was fresh and seasoned perfectly. I highly recommend frequenting this establishment.
Came for the sushi and rice bowls. Everything we ordered was delicious. Our server was very welcoming and attentive to our table. Smaller eat in area but still plenty of tables. The food was very flavorful - the sushi was fresh and the chicken in the rice bowl was seasoned and cooked to perfection. Will definitely be back to try other items on the menu. Large selection of food and quite a few dessert items as well.
Excellent service, respectful friendly and fast service. The food was delicious and the price was perfect. Plus the waitress was always attentive of our drinks and anything else we needed. I’m the space is small but clean and welcoming. FYI kids plates are truly a kids size perfect for my toddler.
Picked up an order to go to try for the first time, will most definitely be returning. Everything was fresh and tasted delicious. The tempura was a little soggy but that’s on my end for having to drive home with it first. Still, it didn’t taste like old oil and was great. Shrimp was a little small but tasted fresh and not overcooked. Sometimes the tempura veggies aren’t cooked well at other restaurants but these were cooked perfectly- no raw centers. Crazy boy was a cooked sushi and was very good. The spicy tuna crispy rice had no detectable spice, in fact I forgot it was supposed to be spicy until I checked the receipt after. Besides that, it was extremely good. Rice was crispy and chewy and the tuna on top was very fresh. Very sweet sauce that went well with it. Really excited this place has opened up nearby and will recommend it to others
Homemade gyoza was delicious. Chefs and staff were super welcoming and had great service. Menu pricing was very fair and you could tell they went through a lot of effort to plate things and present food with detail.
Edit: we absolutely love this place! I have gone a total of 6 times and we now tried the Korean famous bibimbap soooo delicious We ordered the shrimp tempura, the broth was so flavorful, and it was so delicious! My husband absolutely loved it! He enjoyed the shrimp so much. I got the bulgogi rice bowl same thing it was absolutely delicious I highly recommend this place! The servings were Perfect! I will definitely be coming back! I’m so happy I don’t have to drive to frisco for a good donburi bowl!
Our new go to spot. We are always met with a friendly, helpful staff and the best food. Korean BBQ ribs are a sticky, savory delight and I highly recommend them. Sushi is fresh and delicious. Such a wonderful addition to area.
Second time visiting. Both times have been exceptional. This time I had the spicy garlic edamame, spicy spring roll, and hulk roll. I enjoyed all of it. I must say the spring roll can be difficult to pick up with chop sticks due to the wrapping. Overall this food is good and I look forward to trying other menu items. Oh and great service!
What an amazing restaurant and dining experience to arrive in our small town of Melissa! Our family enjoyed dinner here last week and have already been back for a second time this week! :) Not only are the owners incredible people (genuinely kind, friendly, and personable), but the food is equally amazing! We tried the Pork Katsu Curry, Shrimp Crunch Roll, our son had the Kid's meal Chicken Katsu, and we finished with Tempura Cheesecake for dessert. Everything was absolutely DELICIOUS, from temperature to texture/flavor, and truly made me feel like I was being transported back home. Our young son also cleaned his entire plate, and this is a rarity! The ambiance felt calm, comfortable, and relaxing, and the servers were very attentive without being overbearing. Needless to say, we will be regulars here! Thank you, Doshi! :)

Visited this restaurant for an early dinner with friends. The place has a very cozy welcoming vibe and staff is friendly too. I had the spicy chicken Katsu curry which was amazing! Also shared some sushi and everyone loved it. My friends had the Katsu don and the garlic chicken teriyaki bowls and loved them too. The prices were very reasonable too. Would definitely visit again.
The staff was very welcoming and very attentive. There was an open kitchen where you could see them making your food. Prices were great for the quality of food you get. I ordered the spider roll and the Garlic Chicken Teriyaki bowl. The food was delicious and tasted fresh. The portion sizes were perfect. I love how it’s family owned and operated. Such a cute little spot and I would absolutely come here again whenever I’m in town. Next time I want to try their Bibimbap!

The service was fantastic, they really took care of us quickly and were super friendly. The agadashi tofu was the best I ever had, great presentation. They are soon to get their liquor license as well. Perfect for a family outing.
Called in an order for the Bulgogi Rice bowl. The lady that took my call was very polite and clearly confirmed my order. Upon arrival the entire staff welcomed me in and the atmosphere was very clean. I observed the food and the presentation was very appealing. When I ate it, it was very good. I rated it a 4 and not a 5 because I compare it to the Bulgogi I have eaten in Korea, and in the Pacific NW. The flavor was slightly shy of what they produce but still very good. I will be returning and I highly recommend! (My photo is borrowed but looks exactly the same)
Great quality food, however, the only reason why I’m rating it as a 4 is because of the curry. Don’t get me wrong, I finished it!! I’m not used to Japanese curry being runny so that was my issue, yet again I understand that’s probably how they make it! I wish the rice was stickier but it was still delicious! Hopefully, there could be veggies added to the chicken curry as well; such as carrots and potatoes! Portion wise, we hoped it would be bigger for the price point. We ordered chicken katsu curry, pork katsu, and a hand poke roll which came down to $40. We also got a poke hand roll, that was amazing. You can tell it was fresh and perfectly seasoned. Overall, we will come back and try different dishes. The atmosphere and service were 10/10!
Ordered the crispy Goyza, chicken karaage, shrimp crunch roll, bulgogi rice bowl, and miso ramen (spicy). The Goyza was very crispy and good. The karaage was good too. It wasn't as crispy as I liked, but I would order it again. The shrimp roll kinda small. It is very tasty. I really liked the bulgogi. The only problem I had with it was too much rice and not enough meat or vegetables. Personally, I don't think I would order it again. The ramen was very good. The noodles were cooked well. The broth was very tasty. The egg was a bit plain. What I didn't like was that it cost extra to make it spicy. I didn't get enough heat to warrant the extra cost. I also think it needed a bit more vegetables like maybe some green onions. Saying that, I would go back for the ramen again. The restaurant was very clean, but it was a bit cold inside. Granted, it was in the low 30s, but let's turn on the heaters, please. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. Please keep in mind that taste is subjective. I do recommend this place, and I will definitely be back.
Suuuuper friendly staff! That's always super nice to see when walking in! We got the agedashi tofu to start with and I was surprised at both it being a single block of tofu, as well as just how vinegary the sauce was. Me and my partner got ramen, Tokyo and Seafood and both were pretty good! The broth was great but everything after that fell a little flat unfortunately. It's not a bad price, but it does leave some to be desired. Overall this is a place that seems to vary from person to person on taste preferences, but if you're in the area and need a quick bite it definitely does the trick!

Atmosphere was good and service was good. They just started up. Experience was positive but the seats need pads. They just got their liquor license so the beer was super fresh. If they maintain the freshness then it will make profit. The sushi was half the size of normal, lukewarm, dry, and missing the crunch of cucumber or radish. The tempura udon was packaged udon that you can buy with at any grocery store. With tempura thrown in to get soggy. They also threw in white mushrooms and some diced spring onion. If you want flavor use more fat, brown mushrooms, beef broth, and some egg in the mix. If they fix those issues then I'll be back for the food. Meanwhile I'll come back for the fresh beer 🍺.
Overall, the experience was positive. I didn’t have much of an expectation for a sushi restaurant in Melissa, but the rolls were fine for what they were. Nothing stood out about the experience, but the kids didn’t mind the food. The service was good. Though there were a few things on the menu, the boxes where you can try several different dishes for a set price, that apparently they don’t have/serve yet. Saw another order ramen and that looked appetizing, so maybe we’ll be back to try.

Very clean and tidy space with great service. But the food just fell flat. The spider roll was super basic but flavorful. But the spicy miso ramen was really bad. Like the worst ramen I've ever had a restaurant. The chasu pork was embarrassingly bad and overcooked. It tasted like it was burnt on the grill, plus it was razor thin. The broth tasted like statight peanut butter. It was an absolute horrible representation of ramen.
