The food and service was pretty awesome, Andre the manager was amazing and made sure we were taken care of and our server Layton was a pretty chill guy and had some good energy. They were moderately busy but still attentive and friendly. It was especially noticeable because previous staff and managers of this location had some issues but the current staff got it on point. Andre is doing a fantastic job guiding his staff and making a great dining experience. Great stuff!

Ok, Cotton Patch in McKinney! The food was delicious. I had the triple cheeseburger and it was cooked perfectly, and my husband really enjoyed the catfish. We planned to take it to go, but were encouraged to stay. Viviana provided excellent service, and the atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable. The manager, Andre, even stopped by to check on us and was so welcoming. We’ll definitely be back!

Super awesome food! Very country style appeal. Refugio was very kind, checked on us often. Thank you so much for a nice dinner. Appetizer: Brisket Question (mild smokey flavor) loved it Shrimp Basket - Delish Fish Basket - was like butter on the inside but nice and crisp on the outside. The batter definitely has a good Cajun flavor to it.

I have had a great experience coming into this Cotton Patch Cafè the workers were so nice and greeted me as I came in I felt very welcomed. The atmosphere and energy was great definitely will be back. Heidi the shift Lead or Manager I’m not sure what she was she gave me phenomenal service she definitely needs a raise she went above and beyond for me and some other customers I appreciated it‼️‼️‼️

New to Cotton Patch Cafe. I work abnormal hours and am usually too tired to cook at home. I have eaten here almost everyday this past week and am highly impressed. The chicken fried steak and chicken fried chicken is amazing with a crispy batter. Don’t get me started on the vegetables! They all taste like they were made in my grandmother’s kitchen. It’s a true southern meal! I ordered the catfish yesterday and was very impressed. I highly recommend Cotton Patch Cafe!

Hi my name is Kassidy wade on 1/1/2026 I spoke to a girl at the bar named Baileigh Davis . I made sure to get her name and spell it right . it was super busy and it was a lot of orders . and even though everybody around her was going crazy and acting like they had no sense . she was very calm in a storm and she made a difference between everybody else . as soon as she saw me she greeted me and talked to me and she asked me how was my day. and how she could help me and I told her That I had been waiting over 45- 1hr for my order and she was shocked and she told me to give her one second .and she went into that kitchen like she was the boss and she asked the people in the kitchen nicely and said the lady at the bar has been waiting for food . and she packed my food up with care and gave me two extra rolls. and I checked my order and everything was perfect I haven been coming to cotton patch for 3 years . and never had felt so warm and welcomed in a long time I tried to give her a tip and she told me that she was training and she could not collect tips. and I told her it’s only for her and nobody else . and she said no thank you ma,ma and she said SPECIFICALLY said kindly no ma,ma it’s ok I would gladly give it to my other employee who is not in training . and I looked at her and I told her she was a natural born leader and the tip was $200 and I thought to myself see what kinda child would not collect that kinda tip. And I was super proud of cotton patch for hiring a person like her . but I told her next time it’s only for her and her only .COTTON PATCH please let this young lady know that I will be back and she is a amazing person and she WILL collect that tip NEXT TIME. I work with the food industry with the corporate companies For the CEO of California, Houston, and I am super surprised because I didn’t come in that building with a suit on and. Last night’s experience was amazing! The food was delicious, but what really made the night stand out was our server, Chloe. She was incredibly sweet, attentive, and made us feel so welcome from the moment we sat down. She checked in at all the right times, had such a positive attitude, and genuinely cared about making sure we had a great experience. Chloe’s kindness and professionalism truly elevated our meal. A Homely, Delicious Gem in McKinney Cotton Patch Cafe in McKinney has become one of my happiest discoveries. The food is exactly what comfort food should be—fresh, flavorful, and genuinely homely. Every dish tastes like it was made with care, and it’s the kind of place where you end up finishing your plate without even realizing it. The staff here deserves a special shoutout. The servers are consistently polite, warm, and attentive, and they make the whole experience feel welcoming from the moment you walk in. It’s rare to find a place where the service feels this natural and kind. It’s also a great spot for families—very kid‑friendly, relaxed, and easygoing. The atmosphere is cozy enough for a quiet meal but lively enough that kids feel comfortable too. Overall, Cotton Patch Cafe is absolutely a recommended spot in McKinney. With its amazing food, homely vibe, and genuinely polite staff, I can already see myself becoming a regular here.

VERY PLEASED! Although I ordered my meal and picked it up the atmosphere was family friendly and welcoming. I was greeted immediately upon entering with a smiling and friendly young lady that showed me where to go to pick up my order. Upon reaching the back I was greeted again by another smiling and friendly young lady and the couple other employees that were around greeted me as well. My food was warm and ready when I got there. I ordered the steak fries no gravy, fried okra, mac n cheese and the pumpkin crunch. The portions were good size. There were 6 decent sized steak fries. My meal came with warm dinner rolls too. I live about 10 min away so my meal was warm when I got home but I nuked it a bit just to get it hot again. My meal was wonderful! It reminded me of being little again and eating dinner at either of my grand mothers and my momma’s home cooking. I will definitely be back again! And when we have out of state family visit we will take them as well! You can’t go wrong here!

I want to give a special shoutout to Brooke and Heidi. She was friendly, attentive, and truly made the visit memorable. Her timing, attitude, and care were outstanding and really elevated the whole experience. Overall, the service and food were excellent. Brooke was such a great waitress for us! We went for dinner and she was very attentive and so kind. She was patient with dealing with my rowdy family. The food was very very good! The mushrooms were hot and fresh and the chicken tenders were cooked just right for the chicken to still be juicy and the breading was cooked perfectly. Definitely will come back!

The dinner was excellent but what was superior was the service by Candice- she always had a drink waiting at the table- hot fresh rolls at the ready- over and beyond- they were out of skillet cornbread which cost them a star but that wasn’t her fault at all. Also the last time I was here the food wasn’t as good- now it’s back up to speed!

I was completely unaware this chain of fast casual restaurants even existed but I definitely left pretty full and satisfied. This was obviously my first time trying them. I got a mushroom Swiss melt minus the mushrooms and with extra grilled onions. Also swapped Swiss for pepper jack cheese. My only complaint is they still charged an extra dollar for onions when I got rid of the onions, that definitely didnt add up for me. I do really like their wide selection of sides, the one I settled on was a baked sweet potato, which was excellent. My server was just okay she could have been slightly more attentive. If I see another one of these I'd definitely try it again:)
