For the second year in a row, we booked Tiger and Peacock for our work Christmas party. I could not be more impressed with this staff! The entire experience was one of the best I have ever had. Prior to the party, I was in contact with Jonathan, Evan, and Zori. We booked a tasting in late November which allowed us to select menu items for our event. This was fun and also very helpful. The team worked together extremely well and made the process incredibly smooth and effortless. The night of the party, the staff continued to impress. Their level of attentiveness was beyond impressive from start to finish. Food was passed as guests arrived, and the staff was nothing short of amazing. (Brandon was great!) I also can't say enough about the awesome bartenders. All three went above and beyond to provide exceptional service. Thank you, Tiger and Peacock! I would highly recommend using this space as an event venue. Easily a 5 star experience!
The ambiance is set from the moment you walk into the lobby and are greeted by the hostess, who takes you into a portal of fun! (the elevator). Once we were inside, every inch of the space was dressed to the nines, with attention to detail unlike anything else I had experienced before! The food was all immaculate, but I want to spotlight the rib sliders, the duck flatbread, and the caviar! YUM! The drinks are always cute, and it's nice to try your friends' zodiac specials. Wyatt the server, was so nice and informative, and the playlist was a plus. Will definitely return soon!
Fabulous atmosphere, fantastic drinks and food! Such a neat place to find in Midtown, you have to make reservations so make sure to do that early! Perfect spot for a date night or girls night out. The drinks were phenomenal and fun and the service was great.
Such an awesome bar! The atmosphere, art, and music selection. The service was great and the food was great. My family and picked a drink from the zodiac menu and it was STRONG, and worth the money. Also their strawberry and raspberry lemon drop was AMAZING. We had a smoked gouda charcuterie board, so so so so good! 10/10. I do recommend making a reservation online right before you get there. Saves a lot of time.
Food, drinks and service! Was good! Was an incredible birthday option ♥️ I love this place highly recommended
Did not try any food but the vibes are immaculate! Rooftop is comfy and elegant. Drinks are great
What a great experience! Stopped in for drinks over the weekend and was super impressed! The decor is very unique and the view of midtown from the balcony was a must see. Drinks were really good and the service was even better than expected for a Friday evening. Will definitely be back to try the food next time!
I do not understand the bad reviews at all. We visited on a Sunday evening, I dressed up because it seemed like a fancy place, but it didn’t seem like anyone cared. There were people there who were dressed very casually (maybe they did away with the dress code?). But every bit of it, from the speakeasy vibe of the elevator ride to the decor and menu contributed to a really magical experience! Honestly worth dressing up for, if they still require it. The cocktail menu is zodiac themed and the decor has “down the rabbit hole” vibes. Low lighting, velvet couches, and unique cocktails - what more could you want! Our bartender (Fred) was an absolute dream and answered all our questions to help us pick perfect cocktails. Personally recommend the Taurus (manhattan-esque) and the Capricorn (grapefruit martini). We also enjoyed the Aquarius, but personally I think it would be better with Mezcal. The bar food is limited, but we enjoyed the flatbread and chicken shawarma. Absolutely would go back!
This is a phenomenal place. Each room has a different theme. The atmosphere is amazing; From the entry downstairs to the city view . The drinks and food were great as well. Quincy was our waitress. She was able to maintain 10 people with ease. And she did it with a smile.
This place is really special because it is so eclectic and fun. From the elevator ride up to the 7th floor, to the view of the sunset, to the full sized stuffed zebra behind the bar... this place is cool! The drinks are FANTASTIC. They have a cocktail menu based on the zodiac. I really enjoyed the gimlet and the blackberry smash (my sign, cancer). The burrata and raosted tomatoes was fire. Small plates to share in an intimate, creative atmosphere. Get your reservation because they stay full.
Beautiful bar the decorations were amazing the bartender was outstanding such great service and the cocktails were so cool they represent the zodiac signs I got a Sagittarius and my friend got the Aries I highly recommend stopping in here
So far so good! Went for drinks only on August 12th and had a good experience. The crafted cocktails were really good, Love the astrology theme of the bar/menu, and we had really good service! The view is nice and I love the decor. The entire hotel seems great for some really nice pictures but I really like the rooftop bar. I was able to make a reservation on the open table app with no problem.
We had such an amazing time, We celebrated my sister's 40th bday and met the sweetest couple at the bar....Kaylee was our waiter and she WAS AWESOME!!! "Peanut" took us up and he was SO SO RESPECTFUL AND SWEET" We enjoyed WONDERFUL ZODIAC drinks and appetizers (Bacon and Chocolate)😋😋Staff prepared a delicious ice cream with candle...My sister had the best time and OMG the rooftop and rooms for pics were GREAT!!!!! Recommend this establishment to everyone!!!
Tiger and Peacock is absolutely wonderful! I love the decor, the drinks were awesome and so was the food! Great service too
This restaurant is very impressive it’s located inside the Memphian Hotel It gives you a modern day version of Molly Fontaine vibe but way better!! The staff was beyond nice Dalton was super dope he was very in tune with what we wanted and we really didn’t have to wait for anything. The atmosphere is to die for everywhere you turn it something different or something you would never think you would see you in 1 million years my favorite thing was the monkeys crawling on the wall Super cute. The drinks Were very tasty everyone was very pleased. Far as the menu it’s a small one so my suggestion is to take a look at the menu if you don’t see something that you want you probably want to eat first and then come Here to end your night with a bang!! We ended up getting the steak flatbread with the peach’s and it was really good do not be afraid of the peaches!! And my friend had the steak with the veggies and she liked it she stated that they could’ve seared it just a few seconds longer and need a little bit more vinaigrette on her veggies overall definitely five stars I very impressed with establishment will definitely be coming back for sure!! Great job Memphian I love it!!
This is nice chill place. The decor was nice the vibe was nice and the service was great. I love the zodiac themed drinks. Mine is Aries and it was delicious. Next time I will order food.
This place gives New York vibes! Very nice upscale bar with vibrant eclectic decor. We felt like we had been transported somewhere other than Memphis. Has an outdoor area but it was cold so we sat inside at the bar. Had cocktails before dinner. They also have a WONDERFUL short rib! Great service as well.
Definitely a must see! The unique decor, drink menu and chill atmosphere are just some of the reasons why you should visit this place!
I was not really expecting a great experience to be honest because the reviews weren’t great. But we absolutely loved our experience here. Amazing atmosphere, the drinks were delicious, food was excellent, and service was just as good! I’d come back anytime!
The drinks were so good, their music was incredible, and our waitress Celia made the night a complete 10/10!!!!!!
Amazing design and views. Our server was awesome. A new favourite for me in Memphis.
It was a beautiful place love the aesthetics. The cocktails are really good and the service was great as well.
My waitress Fred was amazing! Will definitely be back! Loved the atmosphere and vibes!
Craft cocktails were fabulous & all staff were very friendly. Beautiful space.
Really great crew that works here! We had a blast. Thank you Alexis and Jacobi and company
Such a vibe! I walked upstairs to get a drink and it was like entering a super hip party. The music was on point (hello frank ocean and santigold!), bartenders were friendly (Fred!) and engaging with guests, and the drinks were delicious. Service was fast, it was clean, and everyone was having fun!
My best friend wanted to take her step-daughter out for her birthday. It was her 21st birthday. I saw Tiger and Peacock on Instagram and thought it would be perfect. It was! We all had the best time! The drinks, desserts and service were 5 star. Loved how classy and beautiful the entire place is. The decor is gorgeous. One of the best places in Memphis! We will be back.
Had a date here and fell in love. They don’t let it get too crowded so it really feels like an elite experience. We were staying at the hotel and there was no wait for us to get in. The bartenders made the best New York sour I’ve ever had. We didn’t eat but I’ve heard the food is good. I can’t wait to go back. Thanks for a wonderful evening.
I'm not sure if you actually need a reservation to enjoy this hidden gem but I would recommend it. Located inside the hotel there is a receptionist at the elevator to let you up to the top floor. (I hear the restaurant on the first floor, Complicated Pilgrim, is delicious but I haven't had the pleasure yet.) The atmosphere is cozy with little booth-like nooks decorated with comfy couches and chairs. The bar is garnished with an array of peacocks and peacock inspired decor. The menu has a list of signature zodiac themed cocktails, wines, beers & spirits, snacks, plates & flatbreads and desserts. My date and I tried a variety of their food options but the most noteworthy were the salmon roe, the duck flatbread and the bananas foster.
Celia is AMAZING! My first time here and, wow, she created such a fun and welcoming experience for me and my group. Drink recommendations on point and service amazing. Her personality and presentation is spot on for a guest. She gave us some history of the wall decor. Absolutely stellar service. Will be returning.
This is an excellent spot to have a birthday celebration. The staff, starting from the individual at the entrance to the bartender Josh, is incredibly amiable. As soon as we entered, we were greeted with warm smiles and a genuine sense of hospitality. The ambiance of this place is just perfect for a memorable celebration. The interior is tastefully decorated with elegant lighting and stylish furniture. The music playing in the background adds a lively touch to the atmosphere without overpowering conversations. The attention to detail is evident in every corner, creating a cozy and inviting environment. Our experience with the staff has been exceptional. From the moment we made our reservation, they were attentive to our requests and made sure everything was in place for the celebration. As we settled into our seats, Josh, the bartender, approached us with a friendly demeanor, eager to cater to our drink preferences. Josh's knowledge of mixology is truly impressive. He effortlessly crafted unique and delicious cocktails that pleased not only our taste buds but also our eyes. His passion for his craft was evident as he explained the ingredients and the inspiration behind each creation. The drinks were not only refreshing but also beautifully presented, enhancing the overall experience. Throughout the evening, the rest of the staff continued to provide impeccable service. Definitely we will be back soon
We had my daughter's college graduation celebration here and it was absolutely magical! The atmosphere and decor are fabulous. Great service and the most tender delicious ribs I've ever had. The drinks are so very tasty and the fondue was a fun ending to a wonderful night. It was so perfect my chic graduate is determined to treat her girlfriend to a night out here in the near future! Loved it!!!
We had the best time here with Kahlil! My Mom, aunts, and I came here for my 21st birthday and had a fabulous time. We loved the food & drinks, the atmosphere, the music, and the art. Kahlil was fantastic and made sure we had the best birthday celebration! Everybody working here that we talked to was great. The next time we are in town we will definitely come back!
This rooftop bar is so sexy, the atmosphere is just spot on for a date. And bartender Wyatt is a true gem! He made perfect cocktails and was wonderful to talk with. Can't wait to return
Great vibe, immersive atmosphere. Very friendly and professional staff, we were greeted by everyone entering and leaving. Our server Grace was awesome! Cocktails and shareable plates were good! First time going and I'd definitely go back. Relaxed business casual attire, not exactly upscale dress code. Rooftop views of Overton Square with a nice seating area for groups. Had no problem parking for 6pm reservation, there is a paid garage that is very reasonable price wise and right behind the hotel, short walk. We had a great time!!
This lounge is a dream! The mood is super laid back and inviting. The decor is very upscale and offers great seating. The outdoor rooftop was amazing! The weather was super perfect so it was everything. I had the Gemini cocktail and it was good but too fruity for me but I couldn’t resist trying it since I am a Gem. My friends tried various small plates but the consensus was the short ribs and pepperoni flatbreads were the stars of the show. Courtney was our server and she was super sweet. We did experience some delay in receiving items since it was a pretty large group of us but overall, I would definitely return & recommend it!
There is a warm and cozy patio upstairs where you can have a good view of the happening street with your drinks. I loved their food and quick serving. Top Notch how they have their ambiance, Decent, making it a calm party area. Best place to get some refreshments.
This place is perfect to come for a pre dinner drink and snack. The atmosphere is great and the cocktails are priced accordingly. Service was great, but big gaps of time where nobody came by. Only giving 4 stars because I wish they had a better food menu
The menu wasn't enlightening or transcendent the way flavors set up an art show in your mouth when you eat at Iris or Second Line but some bites and a drink with friends doesn't have to always be life changing. Sometimes we just need a casual chill, to get away from the city without even leaving. That's the atmosphere of Tiger & Peacock. The zodiac specialty drinks were on point! My date & I ordered the other's sign and it was right on the money! Perfect flavor fit. I loved the way she tasted 🎉 🥂 The Taurus - mmm, so good its dangerous. The atmosphere is transporting, the food is good, the drinks are a balm on a hot summer evening. If you want a sensory get away, 10/10 recommend
We visited on Friday, Jan 16 around 640p. The atmosphere is stunning! Very classy. I love the decor! So, when I approached the spot to go up ,at first I got the vibe, like who are you and why are you here??? I didnt like being asked, do you have a reservation BEFORE being greeted. I didnt like giving my name for the reservation, then being asked to see my ID like I was lying. However, my friend explained to me they check ID because its 21 and up. That exchange was unwelcoming, however when i got upstairs the entire staff was sooo nice and professional. The guy bartender was outstanding! The only thing i wish is for the menu to be bigger. It was a headache thumbing through that little booklet. I will be back..great place for upscale vibes!
I chose to celebrate my 50th birthday at Tiger & Peacock inside The Memphian Hotel, and overall it was one of the best birthdays of my life. From the very beginning, the service stood out. The front desk receptionist (unfortunately, I don't remember her name) was wonderful—she accommodated an early check-in even though the hotel was fully booked, which started the evening on a high note. At Tiger & Peacock, Sybil on the first floor, greeted me with warmth and professionalism that truly reflected Marriott’s hospitality standard and Jalissa on the 7th floor welcomed me with a beautiful smile and kind demeanor that immediately made me feel celebrated. Alexis “Lexi Pooh”, one of my personal servers, went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable, having fun, and well taken care of—her kindness and attentiveness were unforgettable. Wyatt, the bartender, kept the drinks flowing perfectly and made sure everything was on point. These individuals truly embodied Marriott hospitality and made me feel celebrated. We spent over $3,500 on this event, and their service made it worthwhile. Unfortunately, the experience was overshadowed by the night shift manager, whose behavior was the opposite of welcoming. She unnecessarily restricted where my family could sit, stopped my mother-in-law from enjoying outdoor seating, and dismissed our music requests. While we were hoping for lively, fun music to match the celebration, she reluctantly played a couple of songs and then abruptly cut one off mid-way, telling my guest flatly that she had “turned it off.” Worse still, she was very dismissive—as if she was irritated and we were a major inconvenience to her. Her actions and demeanor were even apparent to her own team members. It almost felt as though we were being treated as inferior and not truly welcomed. Several of my family members—including my mother-in-law and daughter—felt she was giving off the vibe of “I’m sick of these Black people.” That perception was deeply hurtful and absolutely not what anyone should feel during a milestone celebration at a Marriott property. Despite this, my guests still had an amazing time thanks to the positive energy we created and the outstanding efforts of the rest of the team. But I cannot overlook how one manager’s poor behavior and lack of inclusiveness left a lasting negative impression. Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for the incredible staff—front desk, Sybil, Jalissa, Lexi Pooh, and Wyatt. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for the rooftop atmosphere and the joy my guests and I created. ⭐️ for the night shift manager, whose dismissive and unprofessional attitude did not reflect Marriott values. This birthday will still be remembered fondly because of the amazing employees who shined. However, I sincerely hope management addresses these issues, and that this feedback is taken seriously—because no guest should ever feel singled out, disrespected, or made to feel unwelcome at your property.
Our first time was going last night, and it was super cute. The atmosphere was great, giving grown, classy, and sexy vibes with eccentric and eclectic backdrops. The decor is inspired by a little bit of everything. Animals meet celestial with modern touches and classic highlights. It was very unique, but I enjoyed looking around. Looking around, no one really ordered food, but we decided to try it anyway. The charcuterie cheese and meat board was not appetizing at all. The meats were really salty, the pickles were too salty and sour, the jams/jellies were strange, and the cheese was very hard. Our waiter wasn't really attentive as he had a large area to cover, so there would be long periods when we wouldn't see him and just go to the bar for what we needed. The drinks were good, and this seems to be the spot to do it. Perfect place for a night cap, date night to talk, or drinks for pre-game.
Super cute aesthetic, easy to access, good vibes. Servers were nice and attentive-ish… they would come in and ask if we needed anything but would never bring what we needed, such as napkins, silverware, etc. we were done eating before we ever got any of these essentials. On top of that, they automatically add a 21% gratuity for parties of 6+. Would def give 5 stars had this not been the case
Atmosphere was amazing, cocktails were great, food was good but the service was very lacking. Asked for water several times and never got it. Napkins finally came as we were finishing our food. Don't come hungry. Would be a great place to have a drink after dinner if you have plenty of time to kill.
Nice rooftop in the summer, beautiful place to watch the sunset - not sure if it was worth the price or bizarre, pointless “check in” process. Cocktails were decent but I’ve had better in midtown, esp at the prices. Their food menu is affable to put it nicely, $10 for ridges Lay’s chips and a tiny dollop of onion dip. A joke. Worse part, when we showed up at opening, the entire place was empty. For some reason, we were seated at an inside small table and not given a choice about where to sit. 5 minutes later, a pair of young white women were escorted after us without reservations and invited to choose their table and allowed them to sit by the window/terrace. This is not a unique experience for POC in Memphis, but I’ll take my business elsewhere.
Not my scene and the drinks were blah, but everything was pretty.
One of the great joys of traveling to Memphis for the holidays is reconnecting with friends and enjoying new restaurants and lounges. After visiting a couple of Midtown establishments, my friend and I decided to stop by Tiger and Peacock. Not too long ago, we had a wonderful experience here together, so we thought it would be the perfect place to end the Friday after Christmas on a high note. Unfortunately, we could not have been more wrong. The host in the hotel lobby was excellent—professional and attentive. When we arrived on the restaurant floor, we were also warmly greeted by a kind young woman as we exited the elevator. Unfortunately, that was the end of any positive—or even acceptable—service. Although we requested the rooftop patio, we were seated at the bar. That was fine; we didn’t complain. The restaurant was mostly empty, and we quietly wondered why we couldn’t sit outside on such a warm, pleasant evening, but we let it go. Once seated, someone dropped menus in front of us without a greeting or acknowledgment. My friend and I chatted and decided on a shared appetizer while waiting for someone to take our order, offer water, or even say hello. Thirty minutes passed. Not a single word. No greeting. No acknowledgment. Nothing. During this time, a young white female bartender collected a completed tab that was sitting directly in front of us. She stood right in front of us and said nothing. We also watched as an African American male bartender took shots with a group seated next to us. Still, we were completely ignored. Growing increasingly frustrated, we stopped a man in a suit—whom we assumed was the manager—to ask about the service. We wondered if we were seated in some kind of gray area without a designated server. He confirmed that was not the case, apologized repeatedly, and offered us drinks on the house. We declined. At that point, we no longer wanted to remain in a place where our presence was clearly ignored and unappreciated. We didn’t come for free drinks. We came to relax, catch up, and enjoy drinks and appetizers. That simply did not happen. We left—disappointed but relieved—and went around the corner to Sideline, where we had a wonderful experience. If you’re looking for a place where you can sit unnoticed without being offered so much as a glass of water, Tiger and Peacock may be for you. If not, I strongly suggest seeking other options. I will not be returning. I work hard for my money and will not waste it in an establishment that is so unprofessional and inattentive.
While this is a great bar to go to for the atmosphere, I can’t help but be turned off by the dress code. We aren’t living in the year 2000, it is time to get rid of dress codes that require men to wear collars. I was set to make a reservation for my anniversary, but cancelled it when I saw this as a requirement. A person does not have to wear a collar to be dressed nice. I hope the owners know that this is hurting their reputation beyond the sub par drinks that I had the last time I was there. It’s time to step into 2025.
NEVER go to any of their ticketed events. Their valentines day event was awful. It was expensive and the ticket included nothing , music was awful and so loud you couldnt talk, and everyone looked bored. This places marketing sucks.
We had reservations for my wife’s birthday for 7:30. We were excited enough to come all the way from Collierville on a very rare night without children. We received a text while parking at 7:41 saying our table was ready that I didn’t see because we were parking. We were delayed by a wreck on the interstate. Nevertheless, we walked in 2 minutes later and were greeted by a hostess downstairs who said, “Why don’t you text back?” as if we were a personal acquaintance she was upset with. At this point I didn’t even know I’d gotten a text. She then told me they’d canceled our reservation automatically after 15 minutes. I looked at my phone and it was only 13 minutes after our reservation at that very moment. I explained that it hadn't even been 15 minutes yet, that the text didn't say to respond to keep the reservation, just that the table was ready, and that it was my wife’s birthday. The hostess rolled her eyes and said she could maybe get us a couple seats at the bar. I begged her to reconsider considering the circumstances. She put her hands up and said "nothing I can do about it now" before looking past us to the next patrons in line. We had heard very good things about the restaurant, I am just sorry we didn't get to experience it after all the effort.
