My wife and I came here for our wedding anniversary while visiting Mérida and thoroughly enjoyed our food. Steak is different than in the US so don’t have the same expectation but the sausage covered baked potato was new and fantastic. We also loved the queso fundido with ribeye. The presentation with drinks was on point and tasty so we’d thoroughly recommend a visit here during your visit or residency in Merida.

El lugar está bonito de acuerdo a las fotos, la comida está muy rica, probamos varios platillos y todos deliciosos. También las bebidas de mixologia muy buenas. El personal muy amable desde que te reciben, nuestro mesero Edgar brindó un servicio muy cordial, hizo la experiencia más amena pues fue muy acertado con la recomendación de platillos.

Muy buen lugar para ir a echar unos drinks y una cena tranquila. Excelente vista hacia uno de los monumentos más emblemáticos de la ciudad de Mérida, y muy innovador el concepto de su terraza, aunque creo que el espacio se llega a sentir un poco saturado cuando hay una cantidad importante de personas. El servicio está bien, aunque puede mejorar. Respecto a las instalaciones, el lugar está muy bien decorado, nada por añadir.

El restaurante está bien ubicado, puedes estacionar cerca del lugar y caminar, es sumamente lindo con varios detalles emplumado literalmente. Es perfecto para pasar una cita romántica, una ocasión especial, el menú tiene variedad de comida ofreciendo carne, camarones, salmón, entre otras recomiendo ampliamente las croquetas de papa con longaniza de Valladolid, el filete con crema de champiñones es sumamente rico y el pastel de chocolate es delicioso. Las porciones son abundantes, para compartir en su mayoría. No recomiendo la pasta de camarón, siento que estaba mala, y nos hizo mal. La vista es espectacular hacia el monumento de la bandera en paseo de montejo en la ciudad de Mérida, la vista es realmente lo que vale la pena.

El restaurante realmente es para ir con tus amigos o tu pareja en la noche, en esta ocasión tuve la oportunidad de ir a comer con un cliente durante el día después de haber recibido una recomendación del mismo por un amigo. La realidad del restaurante por la ambientación, decoración y estilo se presta más para ir a cenar y realmente ir a echar tragos. Nosotros ordenamos un aguachile de carne (sugerencias del mesero) que la verdad estaba bueno pero fue lo mejor. Ordenamos unas tipo empanadas de cochinita muy buenas que siguieron acompañar con salsa. Ordenamos unos cortes que venían acompañados de un puré de papa con “trufa” y realmente bastante X y quisimos acompañar con una ensalada tipo César que estaba muy muy mala. Precios elevados para el costo /calidad. Servicio bueno. Los baños limpios aunque se encuentran solamente en el segundo nivel. Nos percatamos que éramos los únicos comiendo en el restaurante y que ese mismo día en la noche ya habían unas 6 mesas más. La ubicación del restaurante es genial y te invita a quedarte por la zona. En mi opinión creo que volvería si fuera como ya lo mencioné anteriormente, con amigos o pareja a cenar y en un plan de tomar más tragos y no tanto por la comida. Ya que no es su fuerte siendo honesto.

Gracias a Martín y su equipo que nos recibió muy atento, profesional y simpático hasta le enseñe a abrir la botella de vino espumoso al decirle que soy sumiller me pidió que le enseñará para que lo hiciera correctamente a mi gusto, me encantó ese detalle porque si soy muy crítica a la hora de abrir vinos. 🥂😁 La comida muy rica tanto como el ceviche y el rib eye con papas al horno, fuimos por la tarde, ambiente relajado y buena música... el único "pero" que les pongo es que de su carta de vinos no los tienen todos, y que tampoco tienen sal de grano ni molinillo de pimienta... Cosas básicas y fundamentales para un restaurante de su categoría.

I visited the restaurant with a group of friends and had an excellent experience. The space is beautifully decorated, offering both an air-conditioned area and an open-air rooftop option. Service was attentive and of good quality, though there was a slight difficulty in understanding the doneness of the meat (medium rare). For starters, we ordered the picanha and the ceviche, both flavorful. As main courses, we had the Brie hamburger and the shrimp, which were absolutely delicious. The beer was perfectly chilled. Definitely worth a visit.

Just put a wheelchair ramp and make the whole experience memorable!!! A heads-up about Emplumado’s wheelchair friendliness: A ramp is definitely needed, but if you’re on a wheelchair and planning on attending, call the restaurant in advance and request a table near the side door; it is still wheelchair unfriendly but it’s only 1 step. Also, about the toilet, although I did not witness it, staff said they had an accessible one on the ground level (regular toilets are on the upper level). Now, the place itself is beautifully decorated. There’s no doubt the look of this restaurant is enough for making the visit worthwhile. However though, it was so dimly lit that it was hard to fully enjoy and take in the place in its fullest; probably attending while there’s still some day light would make it more appealing to the eye and, of course, more suitable for social media posts. As a comment, I have really never put much attention to Merida’s iconic monument (Monumento a la Patria), but Emplumado has a privileged location from where such monument looks gorgeous!!! Go for a table near the window or at the upper-level terrace (not wheelchair accessible) and enjoy the view. Moving on, the menu I would say is more international-cuisine oriented. Of course, some Mexican and Yucatecan hints are present, but this place is definitely not a Yucatecan cuisine showcase. Overall food ranges on the ‘very good’ tier, with some ups and downs and still with quite some way to go before reaching the ‘excellent’ tier. The grilled octopus and the catch of the day, for example, were really tasteful, while the tagliatelle felt cloyingly sweet (for a pasta) due to the fried banana. Mixology, on the other hand, is outstanding!!! Some of the best in town and could rival any major city’s. Each cocktail is around $15USD, which though seemingly pricey at first, is actually within a reasonable price range, especially when presented in such a beautiful way; definitely worth some Instagram posts. And finally, service. All staff is friendly, courteous, polite, knowledgeable about the menu, and always willing to assist. Although there’s still some room for improvement from a classy point of view, truth is complaints are nonexistent. I would like to take the opportunity to thank Raul N. –our waiter– for such an incredible job.

A fancy place with controversial experience. 1. Location ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I chose this restaurant because of its location. From out table we could see La patria monument throught the window. 2. Atmosphere ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The atmosphere inside is amazing. The bar island in the middle of the restaurant looked cool and in general the place is well crafted with attention to details. 3. Service ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Even though the waiter was dressed well and was spending too much time in front of our table. When we finished our lunch and kept talking for like 30 minutes all this time the table remained pieces of food which were cleaned only when we asked for the bill. I was expecting that in such fancy place waiter will speak English, but unfortunately, he was not 4. Food ⭐⭐⭐ The food was the most disappointing part. Don't get me wrong - it was good but for some reason I was expecting more. We ordered beetroot salad, tostada with salmon and meat. The servings pretty small, luckily we were not very hungry. 5. Overall ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Solid place for a date with beautiful design and cool drinks

Excelente lugar por su ubicación y decoración. Se percibe agradable sin importar si estás en planta baja o terraza superior. Pedí un corte y me llevo en termino medio (me gusta) pero frío y duro... Mi pareja comió salmón muy cocido por tanto muy fuerte el olor del marisco y otro sabor. Dejó mucho que desear la calidad de sus alimentos, la atención pues regular, creo que depende de la cantidad de gente.

Cuando llegamos pensamos que sería un buen lugar para comer , por el concepto que tiene. Y la verdad nos decepcionó todo , yo pedí unos tacos que parecían como tacos de la esquina de mi casa sólo que más caros, para el lugar y precio imaginaba otra cosa , pedimos de entrada unos camarones roka , primero no tienen nada de crunchi estaban normales sólo medio empanizados , y sabían a camarones refrigerados, y de entrada también pedimos un aguachile de carne pero estaba súper equis ningún sabor fuera de lo normal , mi novio pidió un fetuccini que no se podía comer porque estaba todo despedazado lo tuvimos que comer con cuchara y el sabor equis , la verdad en lo personal no recomiendo este lugar si te gusta comer rico , Es mi humilde opinión puede haber personas que les guste igual y date la oportunidad de comer y dar tu propio punto de vista Un punto bueno es que está bonito el lugar y tiene buena vista.

Esta reseña es específicamente sobre la cena de año nuevo. Hicimos reservación aquí porque habíamos leído muy buenas reseñas sobre el restaurante, y nos atraía la comida y el ambiente. Nos decepcionó muchísimo el servicio- todo súper lento, las bebidas y la comida equis, sin ninguna cuenta al año nuevo, con la música apagándose de la nada, y con los meseros perdidos. Se ve que fue mala planeación por parte del restaurante, ya que habían mesas que apenas estaban comiendo el platillo principal después de las 12:00. Habíamos pedido que uno de los platillos fuera vegetarianos, y aunque nos dijeron que podrían darnos un platillo diferente, simplemente nos dieron las verduras de guarnición del otro platillo. En general quedamos muy decepcionados y sin ganas de regresar. Definitivamente no para un evento así, caro y malo.

Fuimos a cenar en año Nuevo y fue una experiencia bastante decepcionante. 1. La comida seguramente la pidieron de otro restaurante, llegó fría y sin sabor 2. El servicio muy lento 3.
