Un lugar muy lindo. Excelente servicio. El desayuno está muy rico pero lo mejor sin duda es la horchata con espresso - nunca la había probado y me pareció una delicia.

Todo delicioso, el sazón muy rico, la presentación, los alimentos son muy originales, no dejen de pedir el pan de plátano ¡espectacular! Yo probé la horchata de cacao también muy rico así como los huevos gemelos, el resto de mi familia comió quesabirria y les encanto, huevos rancheros.

Es un espacio muy cómodo, unas tres áreas para decidir dónde comer, unas más privadas que otras, unas más iluminadas que otras. Destaco mucho la atención y precios, es un lugar al que se puede volver con la regularidad que se requiera, con clientes muy diversxs, y me hace sentir que cargo energía. Nos dirigimos aquí por las reseñas y las fotos de los platillos, súper rico toda la comida, por el precio vale totalmente la pena cada plato, el agua de horchata de cacao estaba deli, pedimos sándwich vegetariano y panini. Lugar pequeño y con un menú preciso. Pedi unos huevos Gemelos que venían sobre un pan de maíz, bañados de crema bechamel y chorizo de Valladolid, muy ricos y llenadores, También pedimos un croque del barrio que también estaba rico. Pero los gemelos le ganaron. De tomar matcha, americano y una deliciosa Horchata cacao 👌🏽 Un detalle, tanto las bebidas como la comida me hubieran encantado bien calientes, pero igual tibios estuvieron ricos. Aconsejo pedir la instrucción de caliente al ordenar, si te gusta todo bien calientito como a mi✨ En general buen precio y desayunos muy ricos.

Nos dejó gratamente sorprendidos este lugar. Cada plato es uno más rico que el otro y definitivamente como su nombre lo dice: son comida comfort. Los huesos gemelos y el avotoast estuvieron increíbles. El pan de la tostada de aguacate es único. Por otro lado, la ensalada de frutas estaba muy fresca. El French toast es un must, sin embargo, no lo pediría como plato único de nuevo porque es súper grande y dulce. Es un buen plato para compartir de postre. Es un restaurante con un menú pequeño y limitado, pero totalmente suficiente.

De los mejores lugares para desayunar (si no es que el mejor) es único, probé los huevos gemelos y me encantaron, los platillos tiene buena porcion y os ingredientes se sienten frescos, el servicio es de lo mejor, Recomiendo un buen la horchata de cacao esta deliciosa , el plus fue el postre

Un lugarcito rústico a una cuadra del Montejo que a primera vista pudiera pasar desapercibido. La comida fue deliciosa, buena porción y muy buena calidad de ingredientes, la presentación de 10. El café estuvo muy rico. La atención del personal muy bien. Seguro regreso!

Un lugarcito pequeño, que nos encontramos por casualidad. Buen sabor y bastante considerable el tamaño del platillo. Pero sin dudar alguna su fuerte es el pan, probamos su pan de Platano y esta muy rico. El tiempo de espera fue muy poco, la verdad muy eficaz su atención.

De los muchos lugares que he visitado, este definitivamente es uno de los mejores! Si pudiera darles 6 estrellas o más, me quedaría corto. El lugar está un poco escondido, el interior está lleno de pinturas y arte que van bien con el lugar. El menú es breve pero con opciones muy interesantes. Lo que ordenamos fueron los huevos gemelos, los encaminados, una french toast y un chai latte. Todo fue extraordinario! En particular, los huevos gemelos son una gran combinación dónde el sabor del chorizo y bechamel es algo muy particular. Llevaba una especie de pesto entre el huevo y el pan, lo que resultó ser una gran combinación. Definitivamente cada vez que vuelva a Mérida, visitaré este lugar. De los precios, creo que son justos pero la verdad les daría todo mi dinero sin pensarlo.

I would give it 10 stars. The quality of food is outstanding. If you are looking for something tasty and healthy, try this place. The avocado toast is superb. The fruit bowl with yogurt and granola are one of the best I’ve ever had. Prices are very reasonable for portions and quality. Only 4 stars to atmosphere because it gets hot without a/c. But the cooffee and great food makes up for it. Our favorite breakfast spot in Merida.

We found this spot on the second to the last day on our vacation in Merida. It was definitely a highlight. This was a low key mellow restaurant that started our day with the vibes for relaxation and a slower pace to enjoy the day. The service was fantastic and our server was patient and made wonderful recommendations. The coffee, latte and banana bread were incredible and I had to scrape the plate for the very last bit. I had the croque de barrio and my boyfriend had the huevos gemelos and they were fantastic! If you are in Merida near Paseo Montejo you must check this out!

We are in Merida for 5 weeks and wanted to find something a bit different for breakfast/brunch. El Barrio was a bit of a hike, but it was well reviewed and in a neighborhood we had not explored. What a find. The food was exceptional, with fresh twists on some fairly typical dishes that made them new. We especially liked that they served salads as a side, and the greens were so fresh we thought they might have a garden out back. My wife had an omelette and I had the ranch eggs, which were similar to huevos rancheros but fresher with blue corn tortillas, onions, and a salad on top. We had a side of potatoes bravas, which were exceptional and a bowl of fruit. Service was attentive, they kept our coffee cups full, which is unusual in our experience, and everyone was young and happy to be there, adding to the experience. Great find, we wish we had found it earlier.

Since we landed in Mérida we wanted to check this place out. It was 10 minutes from our Air BnB and went on our last day. The inside is some great art and the seating is awesome. I recommend trying to sit by one of the murals. The coffee is delicious and I recommend the chilaquiles con huevo, enchiladas suizas, or the huevos rancheros! Can’t wait to get back!

We stumbled upon this little restaurant on a side street while looking for a place to have breakfast/brunch. The place has about 5 or 6 small tables, the hosts were very welcoming and the food was absolutely DELICIOUS. We liked it so much, that we have been there twice, and are planning to go there tomorrow morning for another breakfast meal. This restaurant is a little gem!

My most memorable daytime meals in Merida happened in El Barrio. On one of a few different trips to Merida, I found this Jewel, a cozy 12 table daytime restaurant unlike any other Ive found in town. I’m planning a move to the area and have been scouting for some time. El Barrio has taken my heart and taste buds in as family. This most recent trip allowed me and my partner 4 separate breakfasts/brunches to gather photos without other patrons in them for respect of their experience. I was documenting every corner of patron space for your viewing pleasure. The interior is warm, cozy in a neighborhood cafe way, with many thoughtful, interesting touches. Located at Calle 47 across from the back of the”Las Gemelas” at Calle 58, it is mere steps from Tourist destinations, but you don’t loss a bit of value or hospitality from being off the main Paseo. I could list 1000 adjectives to describe the food, but I will start with 10: 1. Mouthwatering 2. Sumptuous 3. Consistent 4. Creative 5. Colorful 6. Perfected 7. Satisfying 8. Photogenic 9. Memorable 10. Celebratory Every meal of the this trip was utterly the best! Each dish a modern local take on classic breakfast/brunch, made just different enough to be exciting and pleasing in recognizable comfort. FRESH, quality ingrediants thoughtfully composed sizeable portions on simple plates to magnify their beauty. Each beverage, simple but tasty. I will let my pictures tell you the rest. I am still craving one last bite from over a thousand miles away. There were local and international influences to each dish, motivated with obvious consideration to local tradition, varying palettes and heritages of different patrons. I did not walk back into the kitchen no matter how tempted I was, but I assume due to the footprint of the building, it is small, functional, and the person(s) working there is a star! Whether you show up at opening, which we did, or in their last hour of service, which we did, the hospitality is effusive in this space. I wish I was related to anyone who worked there, because of how at home we felt. From thoughtful music choices, to care for tiny details of the experience, it was a warm, homey, inviting visit, one after another. Juan was dedicated to insuring each visitor was cared for and content, personally curating each tables experience with authentic care. I’m counting the minutes till my return!

This has been our favorite spot in Merida. The food is AMAZING, and our server, Pamela, was so, so sweet. She really made the experience even more enjoyable. I’ll ask for her if we get a chance to come back before we leave. The horchata de cacao, avocado toast, and enchiladas suiza are all highly recommended.

Hands down one of the best breakfast places I’ve ever been to. Honestly I have a hard time finding breakfast I like. It takes a lot for me to really like a breakfast place. I guess I am really picky with how I start my day. My wife and I ended up going back here 2-3 times because it is so good. Hearty, healthy meals with drink options like kombucha and healthful ingredients. A must try for breakfast if you’re in the area.

El Barrio was clean and the location is great since it’s just a block or two off the Main Street. Our server seemed to be the only waiter and cashier but the place was small enough for him to keep up. Maybe six tables total. They were very kind and attentive but we were also sitting right in front of them. The ambiance and aesthetic of the place was cute af! Reminds me of a typical hipster cafe in Portland, OR. The prices almost match as well since it is a bit on the pricey side but what do you expect when it’s close by Main Street? Also, it’s organic foods. The prices are very much justifiable. The food was delicious and the portions are filling. I enjoyed the horchata con cacao sooo much I ordered another one to go! I’m trying to think of at least two complaints I’d have for this place but to be honest, I can’t even think of one. I guess just try to avoid going when they are busy as their food is prepared to order and it can take a while. We waited about 25 minutes more or less for all our food to be prepared and served. Unbelievable. Ingredients are as fresh as they can be, you can taste the orchard in every bite. Food is presented in an amazingly colorful manner that feels like art. Paintings on the walls are for sale, great place for breakfast, a must visit if you're around the Montejo area. Coffee could be improved, find a stronger roast for your coffee and get trained in latte art, would be the Cherry on the Cake 🍰.

Fui un domingo y estaba súper tranquilo, el lugar es pequeño pero acogedor. La comida es rica pero a mi parecer son un poco pequeñas las porciones, por 2 personas pagamos $561 propina incluida. Lo malo: como está en el centro batallé un poco para encontrar estacionamiento, no hay aire acondicionado, solo ventiladores en el techo y solo hay un baño pequeño para hombres y mujeres. Volvería a ir.

Es un bonito lugar y muy cerca de paseo Montejo. Menú breve y está bien para que elijas lo necesario. Pedimos: 2 infusiones 1 sándwich menonita, ¡súper grande la porción! 1 bowl de fruta muy rico y variado con su yogurth y granola. 1 avocado toast. Todo delicioso! Del servicio, solo recomendar que siempre anoten las órdenes. el chico que nos atendió no anotaba lo que pedíamos, solo se llevaba de memoria 🤔 y si, se les olvidó el avocado toast, tardaron en traerlo, mi esposo ya hasta había terminado de desayunar.

Es sabor de los platillos es muy bueno. Sugiero llegar temprano ya que hay pocas mesas y no tiene estacionamiento, sin embargo está cerca de Santa Ana y podrías caminar alrededor. Los meseros muy amables, aunque si te sientas a los lados puede que no te vean y hay que pararse para llamarlos. Lo recomiendo.

Lugar acogedor y pequeño ubicado en una calle paralela al Paseo de Montejo, en ubicación excelente. El servicio por parte del personal siempre atento, sin embargo sería agradable que conocieran el menú o se capacitaran para explicar cada platillo. Tienen muchos clientes foráneos nacionales y extranjeros, por lo cual sería bueno tener fotos o bien que manejaran más diálogo a fin de sugerir platillos. El menú siento que podría mejorar en cuanto al diseño y explicación. En cuanto a los platillos, se encuentran en buenas porciones, probamos los huevos encamisados (a mi gusto buenos sin embargo siento que es un exceso de frijoles, la salsa de tomate podría mejorar en cuanto a sabor). El croque madame de carne Ahumada en cuanto a sabor de los dos ingredientes principales bien pero el pan un poco seco, no fresco, ojo ahí. Del french toast espectacular. La horchata de cacao muy buena. Recomendado para desayunar. Busquen la manera de hacerlo climatizado o manejar una área climatizada.

La comida es excelente, platillos originales, delicioso sabor, mezcla de ingredientes naturales y orgánicos muy bien aderezos. El café es una delicia, realmente. El lugar es pequeño, sin "glamour", no esperes mobiliario cómodo.

La comida está muy bien, es un 10, pero el cafe está muy malo, rompe la excelente experiencia de la comida. Pedimos un croque barrio y unos huevos motuleños, un bowl de frutas y un pan de maíz, ambos platillos están buenísimos, las frutas frescas, el pan rico. Solo no pidan café. Otro detalle importante es que el personal no conoce o no sabe como explicar que son los platillos.

La comida es buena pero podria ser mejor: Los chilaquiles no tenian mucho sabor (probablemente la salsa se encontraba al fondo del plato). El café y breakfast sandwich es rico. El rol de canela muy rico, sin embargo el panque de lima se sentía un poco seco. La decoración es bonita, Rústica, cerca paseo de montejo. El servicio puede ser mas atención

Had breakfast here with my family. The staff was friendly but not very attentive. My husband ordered the chilaquiles but it seemed more like a burrito/nacho bowl. I ordered an omelette— the omelette really needed salt but the vinaigrette on the greens was good and the potatoes had great flavor. We also ordered a yogurt bowl which was probably the best thing I tasted— delicious. My daughters had the french toast which was also really good although the bread is cut super thick so the middle felt a bit mushy as if it had custard but tasted great. Oh! and they make an excellent latte.
