Absolutely legendary! It’s like stepping back in time 100 years into an old Hollywood steakhouse! The Caesar salad taste exactly how a Caesar salad should taste. The New York steak is beyond generous cut and I don’t know how they get that crust on it, but that was the best stake I’ve had in years. For a side, I got the asparagus cooked in olive oil and garlic. It was the perfect compliment to the steak and Cesar! My waiter Marcos was a real professional, right out of central casting. Knowledgeable and handsome and very clean cut. I love it when a waiter or waitress is not afraid to share their opinions about the food. They are serving. He helped me to order which I greatly appreciated. From what I understand this is the last real palm in the country. I think the rest of them got bought up by some big conglomeration but not sure that’s just a rumor I heard. Anyway, do yourself a favor and come grab a stake here and ask for Marcos. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed! I wish there were more stars because I would give this place 10 !
🍷🌴🍽️🌴🦞 Ironically founded in New York, but I grew up visiting—and still visit—the Miami location nestled in the beautiful Bal Harbour Islands, where there are actual palm trees! While the vibe has become a bit more corporate over the years, the menu (especially the rotating specials) continues to impress, and the service remains top-notch. One small request: let’s bring in some fountain soft drinks—that’s part of the fun of dining out!
Since 1923, this superb steakhouse offers outstanding aged beef cuts and seafood for the most demanding clientele. Perfectly grilled along with a wide range of delicious sides. Worth mentioning is the Lobster bisque. Service is extremely professional and the ambiance is sober and sophisticated. Highly recommended!
Wonderful Palm, we dinned at the bar - outstanding service, cocktails, conversation and food. This is a classic palm dating back into the 1980’s and still shines as one of the best places for lobster, and ribeye steaks. A top choice for Miami
Had a great Thanksgiving dinner at the Palm. Great vibe, and the food was top-notch - classic holiday flavors with a twist. Service was friendly and on point. Really good experience for a nice solid holiday meal!
Primo was fantastico, but the food was delicious. Adonay helped us with a lovely meal!

Wait staff was extremely attentive, food was delicious - served hot and just the way it was ordered, side dishes are shareable sizes and prices for this type of establishment are par for the course. If you don't want to pay the higher prices, stay away from the steaks and seafood and maybe order the Chicken Parm, which is also delicious (around $35), otherwise the steaks are great (most around $65) and are cooked perfectly and juicy! Sides are additional and drinks of course... Bread comes to the table and they have starters and side salads or soup if you want to start that way... it's a cozy little place, ample room, dimly lit and decorated with pictures (hand drawn) of families all over the walls... not sure who they are, that may be something you want to ask... they're a chain restaurant, also located in L.A., N.Y. etc. ... worth a try if you're looking for a nice, quiet evening with good food.
I love this restaurant . The servers are so attentive and María makes the BEST cocktails . 10/10 will come back
Food was great. The ambience was even better Michael Myers is a top notch, professional, as well as his team.
We enjoy our steaks and love a good steakhouse and this one is at the very top of my list. The steaks are always cooked perfectly, as is their veal. Their sides are nicely sized to satisfy at least 2 people. Yes, they are priced high but in this case you get what you pay for. I love their lobster Mac & cheese. Worth twice what they charge. The service is old-school steakhouse quality (think Peter Lugers in NY). Experienced, professional, mature staff who truly care about your dining experience. I can’t say enough about The Palm. We’ve eaten there so often over the years that they graced us by putting our caricatures on the wall. We felt honored.
The food was absolutely delicious, every bite was a pleasure.
Came here for our anniversary dinner and we were beyond impressed with both the food and service. Everyone including management was so professional yet delightful! Our food exceeded our expectations, I would highly recommend the steak. Our server Antonio was so much fun! I would HIGHLY recommend this restaurant.
If I could give this restaurant more stars I would. The waitress grac was fantastic! Took our drink order right away, n ever wrote a thing down there were 12 of us. After that told us the dinner specials. Everyone ordered. Bread was already at the table, drinks were perfection. From steaks, to salads, to speality of the night Chilean sea bass stuffed was absolutely perfect and hot. Celebrating 2 birthdays with chocolate cake and cheese cake delicious. Also espresso yum yum. Great bar and wine selection. If you need a restaurant for a date, Anniversary, birthday, or any occasion it is the one to make a reservation. You will enjoy.
First time visiting this restaurant, and I was beyond impressed. Amazing customer service from start to finish. The server was patient, friendly, and knowledgeable of the menu. I will definitely be returning...
The last time I dined at The Palm was pre-pandemic and it was a big disappointment. I am happy to say that they have since gotten it together. Service was excellent. Waiter, Zito, was wonderful. Food was great. They have definitely redeemed themselves. I'll be back.
Food was absolutely declious. Drinks were great, and asked for wine recommendation and they picked like experts. They brought us white roses mid-dinner. Fabulous setting, staff and food plus a little romance... Just A+ choice
We had family in from out of town and wanted them to experience fine dining at its best. The linguine in clam sauce has to be the best I have ever experienced. The staff and service superb!! As always Michael and his team make it an excellent dining event every time.!!
Mom and teenage son date! The atmosphere in this place was what set it apart from other establishments. We have in Atlanta but the Miami location killed it with the relaxed setting yet excellence in standards.
Excellent service from our waitress Alexandra🥰, she was super attentive and kind to us.
The Palm is our favorite restaurant in Miami. It's like coming into "cheers" where everybody knows your name! The food is excellent, the service from Fidel and Ashley and the support staff is superb. We love it, and will regularly return every week at least once!
Excellent food and service! We really enjoyed everything at The Palm and look forward to returning next time we're in town.
One of my favorite places in Miami . The chicken parm is to DIE . Every time I come in I am greeted with so much kindness, and warmth.. Maria can make a mean martini and all the servers are so sweet . Thanks Alex, Fidel, Allan, Gracie, Roberto,Marcus, Davide , and Ramone . They’ve all served me at some point and have done amazing . Do your self a favor and stop by
Absolutely loved this place! The atmosphere was cozy and the service was top-notch.
I was meeting a blind date at The Palm, Bay Harbor Islands. My date was coming from out of town and with traffic was running an hour late. I sat at the bar with a glass of sauvignon blanc which Bobby the bartender recommended, it was a great choice. I was so nervous about my blind date that I accidently walked into the mens bathroom. Bobby made me feel very comfortable, just like family. I told him about the bathroom incident and we both had a good laugh. Bobby helped turn an akward situation into a very enjoyabe one. Everyone else was wonderful as well. I will tell everyone what a wonderful experience I had. I would love to visit the original Palm in NYC, since that is my favorite city.
such an amazing time . the kitchen really put its whole foot into the food . so delicious. our servers were so kind I believe their names are alex , and fidel . couldn't recommend more !
It is suitable for my taste birds. Would love to see it again
Everything was good, but the Oscar add on to my filet mignon was the smallest portion I have ever received, and I feel like they continue to get smaller with each visit.
We love this place. The vibe is upscale but casual and the food- steakhouse/Italian, is excellent. They took it off the menu, but ask for the chicken Francese- the best I’ve ever had. Cozy ambience with a lot of character, rare in Miami, and very refreshing.
Was a perfect birthday dinner loved it 🥰
Excellent experience! We came here for my husband's birthday, food was immaculate Our waitress was incredibly accommodating, brought out desert with a candle for him, he absolutely loved it!
A true gem in the city. The ambiance, the food, the staff – everything was incredible. Special thanks to Seba for his professionalism and warm approach.
Service was great and atmosphere is jumping... It is loud but fun. Staff was great.
Amazingly great ambiance! Everyone is so nice and hospitable, they make you feel like you're home. :) Food is awesome, portions are pretty big. The bar is always fun! Well, whenever you catch a seat that is. All in all- great experience!
Absolutely love this place . Amazing atmosphere for date night . Servers couldn’t of done any better ! Allan and Roberto took great care of us !
The restaurant and people are just amazing. The waiters recognize their costumers even ones from a long time ago. The lobster bisque is to die for, I have lost sleep craving it. Truly the best I have ever tasted. Overall the restaurant deserves 5 stars and no less.
An old haunt. Solid staff. Amazing classic bar and bartenders.
The Palm in Bay Harbor island is outstanding ! I started enjoying the restaurant 1994 it’s the same consistency and quality ever since. The service is impeccable. Michael, Peter and all of the crew are very attentive to everybody’s needs. Highly recommended to anybody that wants the best steak/seafood in all of Miami.
I loved the tension between the host Ricardo and Tatiana, I will definitely return to that place
Had an amazing time at The Palm in Bay Harbor, this spot always hits the mark when it comes to food, service, and overall atmosphere. The ambiance is classy but relaxed, making it perfect for everything from date night to casual catch-ups. Our server, Gracie, was phenomenal. She was warm, attentive, and made us feel like VIPs the entire evening. Every recommendation she gave was on point, and her energy just made the whole experience even better. Also have to shout out Maria at the bar! Her cocktails were next level. You can tell she really takes pride in her craft, and it shows. Every drink was perfectly balanced and beautifully presented. Definitely a must-visit if you’re in the area. Looking forward to coming back!
What a cozy place to go and have a great steak. My daughter is still dreaming of what she ate, and would love to go back to make it a reality.
A great service ! Food and ambience are great , Peter, Jose and Fidel very attentive and friendly
This is a wonderful place for people to get together and have a great meal. The waiter and waitress were very attentive.
Great food and great service. The staff were super energized and excited to provide great service and the food was well seasoned and fresh. The drinks were also on par. The ambiance was also great but and they even let us stay longer than their closing time as we were having a great time. I definitely enjoyed the visit and would recommend
Stopped by Surry Hills and had the avocado toast with extra smoked salmon — so good! The bread was perfect, the avo fresh and creamy, and the salmon just made it even better. Loved it.
What a great experience! The service, from walking in the door, to the bar, to the table was perfect. Thank you Fidel! The atmosphere was elegant and warm. The food was amazing! It was prepared and served with detail and perfection. Overall a great experience. I highly recommend The Palm!
Had one of the best steaks I’ve ever tasted! The service is excellent and everything I had was simply life-changing. I highly recommend this place for dinner and shoutout to the bartender Will who will go out of his way to make you the best drinks ever!
Ordered through Uber Eats super fast service and the food was warm and delicious!! Steak everything top notch!!
We celebrated a special occasion here, and it could not have been more perfect. The staff went above and beyond to make the evening special, and the food was phenomenal.
The General Manager, Michael Meyer, always makes me feel welcomed as soon as I walk in the door. Alexei, Jose and Fidel are always on top of their game.
Peter and jose and Fidel amazing!! This Resteraunt is a must try. The service, food and ambiance is amazing.
We visited The Palm (Bay Harbor Islands) for dinner meetings. We know the service, food and drinks will be spectacular and the atmosphere makes the mood lighter. Last night was another great example of exceptional service and conversation. Nigel was our server and considering we had a 7:30pm rez and the place was packed he was attentive, caring and patient. The drinks were perfect specially as I ordered off menu. I also want to shout out the server assistant Jose that shares a few laughs with me. Thank you Nigel and Jose for never disappointing and always giving us a professional and seamless dining experience.
Michael and Peter are the best in the business. They’ve been feeding out family for the last 25 years. We love the Miami Palm!
A true hidden gem in Miami ✨. The food here is the real star, every dish was cooked to perfection, full of flavor and quality that exceeded expectations. On top of that, the service from Fidel and José was excellent, adding warmth and attention to detail that made the evening even better. It’s a cozy spot, not a tourist trap but a place of true quality. The entire team, from the chef to the staff, is simply outstanding. The atmosphere is elegant yet welcoming, perfect for both special occasions and relaxed dinners. Definitely a place I highly recommend and one I’ll always want to return to❤️

A pricey old-fashioned steak house, but the food is really good!!! Our favorite dishes: shrimp paublo is delicious. Gigi salad is nice and fresh, black truffles gnocchi was light with lots of flavor and a good piece of steak And the carrot cake is a real treat!
The service was excellent! Food was also wonderful. We arrived early on a Monday, so the restaurant was slow, but that made for EXCELLENT service.
Food and Service was excellent, the ambiance made us feel we were back at a New York steak house. The crab cakes were excellent maybe the best we've ever had. The pasta and butterflied shrimps were very fresh and well prepared, Steak was cooked perfectly with a side of Chimmichurri and at the end, they surprised my wife with a candle lite cheesecake and ice cream for her Birthday. Highly recommend and will be one of our go to places in Bay Harbor. FYI: the restaurant is tucked on the side of The Landon Hotel.

Service was excellent- the shrimp appetizers were very good, wife liked her chopped salad and Ragliatelle. 12oz center cut filet flavor good, but over cooked to medium from medium rare ordered. Good wine selection. Solid dinner in the area.
The service was good but they took forever , they are understaff . The ambiance was loud and just not pleasant at all .
I so want to give this place 5 stars. Maybe it's just all the great experiences I've had at various the Palm locations in New York for so many years. The good news is, I really do think it's a great restaurant. The quality of the food is excellent and the people and service are great. When I arrived, it was pretty much bitterly cold. I asked if there was anything they could do about that in everyone at the bar noted that they were freezing, too. Why was the place so darn cold that everybody was uncomfortable until somebody finally piped up and asked for them to do something about it? This speaks to a lack of a attunement to customer needs, albeit a flexibility to meet those needs immediately upon request. Secondly, this is an old school Steakhouse. Why were there not only no anchovies on my Caesar salad but also not even a hint of such flavor in the dressing? Very disappointing. When I later asked the bartender, he noted that they're happy to include Anchovies and even extra anchovies upon request. Why isn't that something that they ask when you're ordering, if they're not going to include that in the first place? The steak was good but slightly overcooked for medium-rare. I have to say, the prime rib someone else was having looked amazing. She confirmed that it was so I will give this place another shot and give it a try, along with anchovies on my Caesar salad. The wine suggestion by the bartender was excellent and probably the lowest priced on the menu, which I appreciated. The gluten-free chocolate cake was kind of eh. this is a top-end place and you certainly pay for it. There are about a zillion recipes available online for good gluten free cakes. This one was not one of them. It wasn't bad, it was just kind of neutral. I gave the restaurant four stars because again, the people were super nice, the crowd was nice, the quality of the food was good, but they need to work on the preparation of it and the gluten free chocolate cake recipe.
This is an old school Steak House. Not fancy old wood with white linens on tables. Service was good and the menu could be customized to your liking. I enjoyed my meal as well as my party. Great job 👍👍👍👍
Food was excellent. NY strip tender like a filet mignon with superb flavor. Service was good but not great. We were celebrating my wife's birthday. I specifically mentioned it on the reservation. Not one person wished her a happy birthday nor was anything done to make her night a memorable experience. I ordered a 4 lb lobster, a nice bottle of wine and dropped over $400 on dinner. I guess I just expected a little more from the Palm for a special celebration. I've gone elsewhere and had a better experience.
The palm provides a nice location with plenty of tables. The service is decent... They have good steak, if not cooked correctly you can send it back. the half and half order is good... I would recommend.
Excellent ambiance and customer service. I would have given it a five but took off one star for the noisy children at the table next to us. It was not a full house and some forethought should have been given to seat an adult party of 6 celebrating a birthday somewhere else in the restaurant. And our party of 6 main plates did not come out simultaneously. The sides which you would want to eat with your main plate was served after a long pause. I had the yellowtail snapper and I’m glad I asked for the sauce on the side. The sauce was rich and not my favorite taste. Caesar salad was great, cheesecake and tiramisu was ok. The service and attention was impeccable though.
I've been to the Palm a number of times. the food is always either good or great. This time on Thanksgiving Day, it was good, but not great. If you look at the picture I posted, you will see a lot of gravy on the meal. That's a good thing. There were 4 of us. 2 of us had gravy on their plates. The other two people had absolutely none. that is a bizzare oversight. My real issue is the service. It wasn't quite as attenative as it should have been; that may have been because it was literally swamped to capacity. But we had to ask for more bread, more water, when it should've just been brought out automatically. Usually, they're very good about it regardless. I will be back again and again, I am sure.
We were seated promptly after our early. arrival which appreciates that we did not have to wait for the entire party to arrive: particularly since we arrived with younger children. Our server Evan was excellent with the distribution of menu’s; explanation of the specials and his polite request for any particular beverages anyone wanted. All the children’s meals were brought out promptly and before the adults were served which was great except one steak was well done and not medium so it had to be returned. All other mains were well prepared to order and very tasty. One issue was they ran out of baked potatoes which we felt was not acceptable for a High Quality restaurant like the Palm. Six of us ended up sharing 3 baked potatoes we were able to order. Lastly, we had brought a cake that was suitable for those members of our group who have severe food allergies. When the cake was brought to the table, someone in the kitchen decided that it should have been decorated more and without asking or checking added a thick layer of whipped cream to the base - with Dairy being the worst product for someone with a life-threatening allergy to it. It closed the evening on a very poor note.
Seafood appetizers were very fresh, large portions, dont eat steak but others enjoyed. Nice wine list. Chocolate cake made in house and was so good!

A nice alternative to the places close by but service and food is average at best. Not nearly as good as it used to be. Seems like costs are being cut on food quality since it became part of Landry.
They have there Canadian (Nova Scotian) lobster which is number one in the world ! EDIT APRIL 2024: Since about 3 years I visit the resturant once or twice a year as I come to Miami. In April 2024, I returned to this restaurant after a one-year period. My primary motivation for visiting is always their renowned Nova Scotian lobster, which is often hailed as the world’s finest—perhaps even surpassing the famed Maine lobster. However, this time, my dining experience left me somewhat dissatisfied. As usual, I ordered the 5-pound lobster—the standard choice whenever I dine here—and shared it with my wife. Unfortunately, this time, the lobster was significantly undercooked. Despite my wife’s aversion to making complaints, I sampled some of the undercooked lobster meat. The claws, however, were nearly raw, prompting me to address the issue with the manager. He promptly took the lobster back to the kitchen for further cooking, but the result wasn’t quite as satisfying as if it had been prepared from scratch. Later, our waiter, Ashley, brought us dessert along with coffee. She explained that it was her way of compensating for the earlier mishap. While this gesture helped alleviate the situation, I must admit that such a cooking error should never occur in a restaurant that prides itself on serving high-quality lobster and other fine-dining delicacies.
Overall great quality, company was the highlight of the evening ofcourse. Gentleman named Mike was outstanding, really the difference maker in our experience. The server looked irritated and unhappy with serving us. He reached accross the table numerous times and when serving our food I felt almost as if he was throwing the plates down, I was having a chicken parm and the tomato sauce splattered on the table cloth, inches away from my shirt, the half and half side slid off the plate and a portion of the side dish landed onto the table. Quality of food gets 4 stars, service gets 3 stars only because of Mike otherwise I would give our server 1 star, ambiance is stuck in the last century but I understand the look they are going for, although, it doesn't excuse some minor things broken and neglected, upkeep should still be a priority for restaurant owners, the place it self gets 3 stars because it needs TLC and some attention to details. If you've never been there are better places with same quality and prices with much better ambience and service, this place is in business because of it's patriot bay harbor community that eat out 5 nights a week.
Way overpriced. Not even if I was a millioner I would go back. However, the food and service were really good, comparable to other restaurants with better prices. Steaks were great, the lobster was a disappointment (dry and rubbery). Let them know, but they only offered to "fix it". Can't really fix a overcooked lobster.
Caesar sald not crisp at all, lobster over boiled. But still great experience
I dined at the Palm a few months ago and we had an excellent experience we ordered 2 -5lbs lobsters and they were so large that we could barely finished we went back with the family about 3 weeks ago , we ordered 3 5lbs lobster price $170 each. the lobsters they brought were much smaller , we told the waiter that those were not 5 lbs lobsters . he went to talk to the manager and came back saying the manager said ,that yes they were. Our billing was over $750 and the manager didn't even come to the table to talk to us , that made me suspicious that he probably didn't want to assures us that they were 5lbs. the waiter was very pleasant and the service was good. they send a couple of desserts to the table that they didn't charge for them. it will be a long tie before i go to the Palm restaurant , i don't think they were truthful rosalie S.
Bae ordered a filet mignon through Uber Eats, but unfortunately it was a bit overcooked and tougher than expected. He ended up tossing about half of it, which was a little disappointing. Hopefully, it’s better when enjoyed fresh in the restaurant.

The prices for the steak are 60+ no sides (expected for a “fine dining steak houses”) however the steaks were nothing special. No major wow factor. Had to ask for water 3 times… I new the prices going into this, that’s not the issue. Heck the steak isn’t even the issue. When your going to pay 60+ for a steak I better have exceptional service. There’s no exception for this. It falls on management. Hands down. No matter how busy a place gets for the price you pay should always have exceptional service. It’s sad when you compare it to a Dennis’s where it’s expected to have hit and miss service. Just my opinion though. The manager did come and give us a carrot cake. That’s why I bumped it up a star. Maybe it was just a bad day, everyone has them. I can’t justify giving any more stars though just from the price you pay. You can’t afford to have a bad day…
Party of four for early Thanksgiving dinner. Only 20% of the tables were occupied, yet we were unable to reserve a later time. The strong smell of mildew greeted us as we entered. Linguine with clam sauce inedible, extremely salty. When we told the server, he said, “Sorry,” and walked away. Other entrees and appetizers were unremarkable, and we had no desire to have a mediocre dessert. Shame to pay so much for a disappointing meal. We will not be back and will advise others to avoid.
We went to the Palm twice on our recent trip to Miami. The first time the food was very good and the waiter was very attentive. Unfortunately our second visit was an awful experience. Our lobster and steak were undercooked so we sent them back. Our 4 pound lobster came back to us out of the shell with only one tiny claw and a small piece of meat. Not sure what happened to the rest. The manager offered to start our order over again but by that point we were turned off completely. Too bad because it’s a block away from us and a place we would have visited often.
4 lb lobster dry and over cooked. For $138 it was insulting. Didn't seem fresh. Blue cheese dressing not well made and spaghetti was very mediocre The veal parm was super. Nice people nice place but food needs improvement. Over priced.
Severely overpriced. Steaks were good, seafood was fresh. The rest is on par with an Outback Steakhouse or some other mediocre chain. Friendly and attentive staff, but the food seemed to have been prepared halfheartedly. I saw “low hanging fruit” for easy improvement, but the restaurant seems stuck on its reputation as an old name in town and past memories of greatness. A GM or owner with some “fire in them” could make this a top notch restaurant in a A+ neighborhood.
Most disappointed for a birthday dinner! Firstly-, out of chosen dinner item, most food was cold, overcooked, service erratic but tried, dessert delicious (key lime).
I wouldn't describe myself as a foodie by any means and don't usually post reviews, but this place was underwhelming/disappointing to say the least. We just moved here from LA and was curious to try this restaurant as it's walking distance to our place and they have locations in Vegas, NY and LA. We are use to very good restaurants in Newport Beach, Laguna Beach and LA. We were very excited to move to Miami and try the local cuisine. Unfortunately we were left very disappointed. We are officially 0-3! The calamari was outright awful, very chewy and not fresh. The steaks were not cooked to order and the sides were average at best. Cream of spinach was very watery and the mash was very bland and runny. For the price that we paid, was left very disappointed with the experience. I would not recommend this place to anyone!
We came to miami for vacation all the way from new york and stayed at a hotel close by. My husband and I decided to see if we could find a restaurant to eat at that wasn't fast food so we decided to try the palm never hearing about it or knowing anything about it. We ordered our food but no prices were listed at all and we were not told that it was more of a high end restaurant that served more of the wealthy class people. I will say i knew something was up when we came into the place by the looks we got as if we didn't belong but they let us stay and eat anyways. They were all incredibly nice after we started ordering but now i realize it was only because of the money they knew we were spending. To be honest we’re not millionaires but we’re not extremely poor either but i would personally rather eat at a texas roadhouse or any other steak house because the food is just as good other places and you receive more quantity and pay less. Guess we’re just the type of people that feel like flaunting your money and spending a ridiculous amount of money on one dinner is nonsense. We paid almost 600 for one steak and a 4 lb lobster and a small plate of asparagus and one bottle of wine i could've paid 80 dollars from where i come from instead of 180 I paid for the same wine here. Definitely wasn’t worth the prices. Will never go back mostly because we are not from around here. I recommend listing prices especially in a high tourist area. I couldn’t imagine if someone came in that wasn't from here and didn't have enough money to pay for their dinner because prices weren't listed. The three stars i gave are only because of the service we got. I recommend listing prices on everything plain and simple.
AWFUL. BEWARE: This restaurant is the famous “Palm” Steakhouse in name only. Until the chain was sold in 2020 you could go to any Palm nationwide and enjoy the same consistently-perfect meal in each location. Dinner tonight was a thorough disappointment. The Monday Night Salad portion was half the traditional size (but still $13.50), overdressed and soggy. The New Zealand lamb chops were all fat and grizzle, no flavor. A filet was ordered rare, with NO seasoning; just salt. A gorgeous piece was served, perfectly rare...but it was peppered, despite the very specific request that NO spice be rubbed. Lastly, the new owners changed the source of the heavenly & beloved Colossal Carrot Cake. The serving is now one-third the size - sold at same hefty $15 price - but no longer has the layers of cream. The slice was average and very dry. So dry that is likely the reason the kitchen drizzled honey over it. In all, I was expecting perfection and received mediocre at perfection pricing. Not worth it.
We had a 730 reservation and were seated right away. We were 4 people and ordered cocktails, 2 salads, 2 steaks along with a 4 pound lobster to share between 2. We have been going to the Palm for many years, and always found the service top notch. Last night was not a night the Palm should be proud of. Our waitress took our order brought our cocktails promptly but things went downhill from there on. It took about 20 minutes to get the salads, not terrible, but longer than should have been. Once we got the salads, we did not see the server for a half hour. Water not refilled, just sat with dirty plates in front of us. After a half hour, she cleared our plates and we did not see her at all for another half hour. She than appeared with the 2 steaks, one sirloin delicious and cooked perfect, the other a small filet, ordered medium, but way overcooked.Filet should have been returned, but my wife was too shy to do so. So 2 of us had our meals but lobster only appeared 10 minutes later. To be polite, we ate the steaks slowly to not allow to get cold, and to make sure we were not finished by the time the lobster finally showed. We finally finished our meal at 10pm . Virtually every table was empty by this time. Groups around us that arrived much later than us were finished and gone. Bill for 4 was over $500, the waitress overcharged me on a glass of wine which I complained about and she revised it but still charged me more than the posted price. Normally I would not make an issue for a few dollars, but this service and night did not justify over paying. I was not in a mood to fight over the 2nd overcharge, so I just took it off her tip. I still tipped 15% which is far from my usual 20% for good service. Frankly I regret even that tip as servers indifference should have been compensated accordingly.
The service was really excellent however the lobster tasted like pneumonia. The alleged 18 ounce steak looks like it was 10 ounces. And the maître d’ at the door rude insensitive didn’t wanna hear anything and the restaurants gonna fail because they if you’ Will the management knows very little about customer service. The person at the front desk was offensive. Obviously didn’t care
I couldn't get past the front door. I was confronted by a young lady who asked me what I wanted. She did not welcome me nor asked me how many for dinner. When I asked if I could sit at the bar to place an order to go, I was told, "oh, I'll take your order." So I was subjected to the most humiliating exchange at the door while other customers looked on. Strangely enough when another customer came in, she was welcomed and offered seating at the bar. Imagine that, the white woman can sit and order while the black man in the dashiki and ethnic hair was made to stand at the door and suffer through the inadequacy of a poorly trained front of the house staff member. She questioned my order she disputed the offerings. And finally when I gave my Landry membership card and American Express, she returned saying that the Palm was in transition and I should call corporate regarding the Select Club. Wow! But she ran the credit card. The manager did not even bother to come out and address this. I have been a Select member for years and have experienced great service accross the various brands. I have been a loyal customer to the Palm in the past when they had a restaurant in Tampa. But never have I felt so disrespected then this at a fine dining restaurant. Some may not understand the problem because they never have to endure the type of humiliation suffered just because of what you look like.
4 of us went here Oct 4 Monday night. We r all qualified Foodies. Dining at better to best restaurants only. The Palm Miami is due to have the same fate as the recent closing in Philadelphia and the 2 in New York. I don't know what Landry Corpororate did, but it sucks . My friend ordered a glass of wine don't have it ran out...he ordered a tomahawk steak waiter came back said they just served the last of the two they had..2? I ordered prime rib sorry don't have that either. I asked for manager he was not there....need I say more Landry !
Terrible service. They advertised a wine for the year 2014 but when I received it was 2015. When I brought this up to the manager, he was very rude and not accommodating. Wine prices are determined by year, someone who works in the industry should know this about wine. I would not recommend this place. Spend your money at a place that deserves your money and your time. There is a reason the location in Coral Gables closed down.
Wow! What an absolute disappointment. We have been wanting to try the restaurant for a long time and finally made it, but what a let down. We ordered the porterhouse steak and it was so dry, not even a drop of juice on the plate, and not only that is was lukewarm. The truffle gnocchi was good but so salty. Was such a waste of money. Absolutely horrible!!!
We ordered the lobster bisque well it was only an orange color broth with some lobster pieces inside! A lobster bisque is supposed to be a thicker soup this was just a broth ! We ordered the veal chop and asparagus the outside of the chop was burned the inside was almost uncooked ! The rib steak 16 oz i ordered was not even ten oz and yes i ordered it well it came charcoal burned ! My husband did confront the manager and he did say we don’t have to pay it but we did pay the drinks and my steak only! Very dissatisfied customers!
Went there while on vacation. 64 dollars for a mediocre steak that was partially tough. (Texas roadhouse steaks are better.) 185 dollars for a 4lb lobster. 180 dollars for a 80 dollar bottle of wine. 35 dollars for shrimp Pablo. (3 shrimp). 16 dollars for 1 asparagus side. Dinner doesn't come with any sides. All sides are separate. Not worth a 525 dollar dinner bill.
Never again. I live in the neighborhood and have tried to give this establishment a chance. This past Easter was the last straw. I arrived in the late afternoon to find 3 employees sitting on the front steps eating their meals - nor would they move out of the way. I have never seen this, but now I have. Entered and the latin man standing at the host stand did not address me, ask me anything, he just stared me up and down. And walked towards the back. I left for good. Never to return.
My family and I eat here to celebrate every occasion. Ate here last weekend. 20 minutes nobody took our drink order. Had to flag someone down. After that, another 15 minutes until we were asked to order. Had a 830 reservation didn’t leave til 11:30. Ridiculous. Never got more water / asked for Parmesan cheese never received it for 20 min of constant asking. For dessert, she came over at 11 and asked if we wanted the tiramisu or zeppoles. I picked zeppoles and was told they will be another 20 minutes, so at that point just opted out of dessert. Ridiculous many other steakhouses around for a better experience. No point in dining at a landrys chain.
Only old people here Food is ok Very discriminating about animals They put me and my dog at the corner and I asked for water for my dog they said they will not bring the water for my dog !!!! I never saw this in my life like ewwwww never coming back here ! Ugly service
I have been here a few times before with a group and it was always a nice experience. I went today alone and unfortunately it was not a great experience. I showed up early (6:15) and the restaurant was almost empty. The manager decided to seat me in the darkest corner of the restaurant with no view at all. As a solo diner , i believe that being seated with a view is nice as you do not feel so alone. My bread was clearly from yesterday and reheated as it was hard as a rock. When I sent it back, the new basket was fresh. Half my oysters were completely shredded by whomever prepared the plate. My baked potato was accompanied by refrigerated cold cheese and sour cream and cold rock hard butter. Guess what happens to the baked potato when you add all these cold condiments to them. Your end up with a cold baked potato. Unfortunately, the person in front of the house was more interested in pleasing his « regulars « and buddies than making sure the quality of the experience was up to par. On a good note , my waitress Jade was spectacular!!! She picked up on my displeasure and did all she could to make things right. Maybe someone may want to have a talk with the « chef de cuisine » and the front of the house. I just re- edited the review. I just got my bill and they charged me for a full bottle of wine instead of a 6oz glass. Thank god I checked. Did they remove the 6oz glass charge as an apology, Yes!! Jade took care of it.
Extremely disappointing experience at The Palm Miami. I have been a loyal member since 1997 and have always received excellent service—until now. On Sunday, January 25, 2026, I arrived with my husband, waiting for my daughter, and her boyfriend. Due to medical issues, I asked to wait at our table. The host was willing to accommodate me, but the manager, Michael Meyer, overrode her decision and insisted I wait at the bar or outside—even though the restaurant was at least half empty. The manager showed no empathy, professionalism, or concern for my medical condition or long-term loyalty. As Hispanic, his dismissive behavior made me feel discriminated against. No effort was made to accommodate us or retain our business. Since Landry’s acquired The Palm, service has declined, but this was by far the worst experience. Management training is clearly needed, or leadership should reconsider his position. There are plenty of professionals who could do a far better job. I will not be returning.
Extremely disappointing experience — especially for my wife’s 71st birthday. We came to Palm Bay Harbor Steak House hoping to enjoy a high-quality lobster dinner, which is not easy to find in Miami. The restaurant advertises itself as an upscale, old-fashioned place, but the reality was the opposite. • Caesar salad arrived ice-cold, clearly straight from the fridge — unacceptable for a place in this price range. • Lobster Bisque was extremely oversalted to the point of being unpleasant. • Our 4 lb lobster was a complete disaster — rubbery, overcooked, and nearly impossible to chew. And this was a $200 item. • The entire bill came to $300 before tip, and not a single dish matched the quality or price. I also noted in the reservation that we were celebrating my wife’s birthday. Not a single word from the waiter — no acknowledgment, no complimentary small dessert, nothing. Service felt indifferent at best, borderline rude. For a restaurant that markets itself as an upscale dining experience, this was a huge letdown. We left disappointed, and sadly, won’t be returning.
