Gramps is a great small bar/venue with a great vibe and atmosphere, if I could give it 4 1/2 stars I would. The only problem is that it’s closing down soon and the venue is too small for some acts but overall I would go back here anytime.
It was awesome, oysters like butter! The snapper sandwich fantastic, fritters with actual meat not just batter. Cold brews and service outstanding, Sammy great job!!!! The view spectacular and for a early evening bite was great to be here, a must for anyone wanting a good time and great food!
Mike at Gramps was hands down amazing! We've had a mediocre experience since arriving in Miami and Mike and the whole crew at Gramps has revived our whole trip! The Gramps mule with fresh ginger was next level amazing...best mule I've ever had! The pizza with handmade dough was *chefs kiss* fabulous! Mike was personable and made me want to refer anyone I knew to drop onto Gramps!!!
Gramps is a fun, no-frills dive bar in Wynwood with a super friendly staff and great vibes. We caught a drag show here and it was the highlight of the night: energetic, classy and welcoming. The drinks are solid, the crowd is chill, and it feels refreshingly unpretentious in a gentrified neighborhood. Definitely worth checking out.
What a fun place to be it's a bar with indoor outdoors but its so much more than that they have everything form art shows, flea markets, EDM style shows, all types of entertainment actually and fun activities like karaoke and more I love going here and the crowd is an everyone type of vibe.
Come here often. Staff is always great. Scott goes above and beyond to make the perfect cocktail. Definitely knows hospitality. Always come back for the pizza wings and drinks. Fun fact, found out they make their own mozzarella in house.
Excellent service. They had two bars ready to go. Not long of a wait for food. It's going to be sad when they close
Visiting my sister on vacation- she took me to Gramps. Lobster roll and food? Fire. What’s even hotter? Their service. Switch was great and very much willing to make any drink and go above and beyond! Highly recommend this place.
I went here for The Hails concert and I had a blast! It was an all around fun environment and good vibes. I love that there are fans under the overhang which prevented anyone from being overheated due to the large crowd and close proximity. It really helped us focus on just having fun!
I had a really fun time here (not from Miami) and think this would be a great place to hang out with my friends in the future. Definitely worth the trip - I met quite a few people here that were from out of town that agreed. Amentities: Indoor booth/bar seating, outdoor and indoor concessions, lots of outdoor seating, electric fans outside, at least two entrances with bouncers watching each, 2 DJ stands outside, bathrooms located inside the bar area, there are a few arcade machines near the entrances of the bar area Atmosphere: Fun, accepting, and free. Be yourself and have a good time. Events: They hosted a Drag event on Thursday. They had 3-5 performers who were amazing and they had 3 rounds of performances with 30 minute breaks in between. Food: The pizza here is incredible. You can get it by the slice or as a whole pizza. Each slice is enormous and a great snack to stay fueled up while you're partying. Music: Huge variety of music, from Abba to EDM, selected by the DJs
Different and unique from the same old run corporate organizations. Wynwood is run and operated by local people for local people. A variety of fresh brew beers with high alcohol content from 5 percent to 11 or higher and a variety of cocktails and food. From different ethnicities a delight to try something new for a change. A place to have fun and to enjoy the arts, drink and food. I will revisit soon.
The drinks here are AMAZING. The service was on point. The bartenders are fun to talk to. I had a blast here. I came for happy hour, which was from 6-8pm, and the drinks were half off. The quality of drinks was superb and they only ended up being $6. This place is a must go if you’re trying to have a drink for happy hour.
For an outdoor venue that gives opportunity to alternative music I was delighted by the space and the fact that every single fan was working, I never felt overwhelmed and at the same time was able to be in the middle of action, having a pizza while enjoying the show was definitely a highlight. Great place, and will come again when bands that I'm into play there.
Gramps is a vibrant and full of energy place in Wynwood, especially when the once a month comedy is performing. Try not to miss "The Clutch" comedy Improv show is about three girlfriends and their hilarous outings. Well, I don't want to divulge more. Just start following them at ClutchComdey on Instragram or read all about in the NewsTimes, dated February 18, 2025. A big shoutout to GRAMPS for featuring and allowing a platform for artists to express their creativity.
Came through for happy hour and Mike was our bartender, super friendly and every drink he made was so good!
This place has a really cool set up with indoor and outdoor sections. I had this pickle drink with spice that was fire. The crowd was chill the night I went, definitely different age ranges. But yeah this spot is great to pull conversations on the side or listen to music on the dance floor
"Gramps is hands down one of the best spots in town, located right in the heart of the Wynwood Art District! The atmosphere is incredible, with such a vibrant and energetic vibe that makes you feel right at home. The live DJ always sets the perfect mood, and the spacious dance floor gives you plenty of room to let loose. But the real highlight? Karaoke night! It's a blast, bringing in tons of talent and making it a night to remember every single time. If you haven't been to Gramps for karaoke night, you're missing out on something truly special. Highly recommend!"
Good lowkey spot in Wynwood. The place feels like a nice step away from the typical Miami bars. Music/ DJs on slower nights is not the best though.
The pizza is AMAZING!! I already want to go back tomorrow. The sauce is really good, perfect amount of cheese and great undercarriage. 10/10, will 10000% be a regular now.
Always a happy time at Gramps!! Always have to visit when we’re in Miami, it’s tradition.
The Penicillin Drink was a real shot to the system. Shame to see them go
Great place to watch a Liverpool FC match. It’s the official Miami supports club bar. They have someone singing songs and hyping up the crowd! It’s really fun. The pizza is delicious! And the fries are a great side item! The drinks are always strong and good!
Great energy the food always scrumptious can taste n smell the atmosphere from here out west, amazing staff from the bouncers to the house crew oh the sound is immaculately inspiring to the musical taste buds in my ears the ichi man Dem can keep going but wait you almost thought...melting pot....of culture shock...
Excellent, a band playing different styles of music performed, excellent.
Been a regular at Gramps in Wynwood for years and it never disappoints. Staff are always friendly and quick with a drink recommendation. Love the chill vibe and the eclectic mix of music. It’s the perfect Miami spot to unwind with friends.
One of my favorite spots in Wynwood!! Real people, decently priced drinks, good music, nice environment. I most recently went to see a band play at Shirley’s Theater (which is indoors and well air conditioned 🙏🏻) and it was fantastic.
Was here to see the band Sparta (w/ opener Velora) What a fantastic show in january, it was cold (55 degrees) and About 100 or more people were there. Jim ward (singer) did Not disappoint. Very intimate show, incredibly fun. (Gramps sound system is pretty bad not gonna lie). Also wynwood garage is half a mile from the venue if you're worried about parking. Please invite the band back!!
The food at Gramps was simply outstanding. Every dish I tried was prepared with great attention to detail, bursting with flavors that delighted my taste buds. I appreciated the creativity and quality of the ingredients used. Their bartenders are true artisans, creating unique and delicious cocktails that were expertly crafted. The drink menu showcased a diverse range of flavors, and the bartenders were happy to customize drinks to suit individual preferences.
I was here for party :), so my review is about that. Excellent place for partying, I liked it, the DJs were good, it’s not just reggaeton, it was a good mix. Prices are good. We tried the Palma cocktail. Def, if you aren’t Latino, it’s a good place to know us. But if you’re Latina, you gonna feel like home.
We only went at night to dance and have fun during my bachelor party. Great place to have fun! Only complaint was the 12yo bouncer that let us in each night . On Sunday 6/9 (the 3rd night), after letting us in and we had ordered drinks, and the bartender was making said drinks... Bouncer comes in and said they'll be closing early because of business. We agreed instantly, and said of course.. we'll pay the bartender and chug them out (again, she's almost done making these drinks). He comes back 1 minute after, she's now running my card. Again, I agreed that we're hurrying. We understand the circumstance. We then grabbed the drinks and started chugging them outside, so they could start cleaning the bar. Now 2 minutes after his initial ask, he's flashing a light at us telling us to leave. Again, it's not past time or anything, it's saying "hey we're gonna close early", and we're 4 guys saying absolutely, we got you. TL;DR: Club is great, but get the little boy at the front home earlier, so he's not so cranky.
I love this place! Been coming every art week since at least 2012. Heard it was closing, and stoked to find it's still open now!
Good vibes all around. No frills sort of place but we had a ton of fun seeing one of our favorite bands. Very intimate setting. Parking sucks so def glad we took an Uber!
Best shows at Gramps thanks to John at Breakeven Booking. Love this spot, sad to hear it's closing in January. 💔
To start our night was terrible. We stumbled upon this place and thought let's check it out. Service was amazing. Drinks are great. Atmosphere was perfect. I highly recommend.
Irs a bummer this place is closing because it was awesome. The bartender was a bad ass and very talented with it being so busy. Luckily I got a space at the bar. Enjoyed my time here very much
Very interesting place. It's a bit hidden in a side street, but once you enter it's a like a place on its own. They have a good selection of beers and the waiters are friendly. It wasn't too busy when we were there but that had a lot to do with the cinco de mayo celebrations at Wynwood. It's also a good place to watch soccer games. When we were there they had an Arsenal game on. They also have an official Liverpool fan club.
Received the best service we've gotten since arriving in Miami (people are SO RUDE here). But the bartenders from Monday (7/14) night really changed how we were feeling. I wish I could remember their names because WOW some of the best customer service we've had. Drinks are cheap compared to the rest of the city. The vibes were awesome, who doesn't love an emo night karaoke? Will be adding Gramps to our itinerary every time we are in Miami. Thank you again Monday night bartenders!!!
Pretty cool indoor/outdoor courtyard bar with several areas to duy drinks. Decent priced drink specials and good seating. The pizza smelled good and there was a line of peopke waiting to order food. There is a cool, funny and very entertaining drag show on Thursday night's. Its part of the swanky area called Wynwood that has retail stores, bars/restaurants and plenty of art to view.
Best food I’ve had in a hot minute. Amazing service 10/10 I’ll be coming back. My server…. INCREDIBLE. Her name was Giselle or something
Went to Gramps in Miami last night for the drag show and had the best time. Super laidback and fun vibe, great courtyard, real dive bar energy with lots of locals. Staff was super friendly and made us feel right at home. Sad to hear they’re closing soon, so glad we got to experience it. Definitely go while you still can!
Visited Gramps from recommendations and was not disappointed! It’s a divey-vibe, but make it Miami. The cocktails were delicious and they had a ton of variety and specialty drinks. I don’t live in Miami but I’m still upset they are closing.
Came here to see Hotline TNT. It was a cool venue. Not the best sound system but it did the job for a punk rock show. Good place to see up and coming acts. Drinks were good but measured out.
Bar review: great dive bar with games to play. Pizza: not sure why they are rated so high, I’ve definitely had better pie. Christian, the manager and bartender is great.
The bar itself is on the smaller side with limited seating and can get crowded in a hurry. The good news is that they have a huge, spacious, outdoor patio that has a back up bar and a walk up pizza window! We stopped here early afternoon but you can see that at night, that patio would be an awesome dance floor/party space that can have live music!
Went for a Yacht Rocks DJ event on a Thursday night. Confusingly, they also have their weekly drag show on Thursday nights. The area is very choppy as we had to leave the Shirley's Room, where the DJ was, to go to the bar while passing through the Drag Show. Other than that, we had a blast and stayed until they turned the lights on and kicked us out! Drinks are par for the area.
As someone who lives in Brooklyn, it reminded me of the many unpretentious (but still trendy) hipster dance-y spots in neighborhoods like Crown Heights or Williamsburg - in a good way! Think no dress code, plenty of seating, beer/shot deals, etc. This was especially refreshing, considering other Wynwood spots have now become very “velvet rope” like with long lines, dress codes and table minimums. The indoor/outdoor aspect (with two distinct music vibes!) also gave it that Miami flair. Would definitely recommend.
they have nice relaxing vibe. i just had one cocktail but it was delicious. only down side was the mosquitoes outside.
Entretenido lugar, con buena música. Lo mejor, el ambiente: muy diverso. Ricas pizzas.
My last time Halloween 25 trash DJ but always will remember the vibe
I’m hoping I get a response from management regarding my post. I've been to Gramps multiple times and have always enjoyed it, but today I was disappointed to notice something unusual. I ordered the beer and shot combo, which totaled $15.12 including tip. After closing my check, I didn't order anything else, yet I noticed a second transaction on my bank statement for $20. I'm not sure what this additional charge is for, but I believe this issue needs to be addressed. I've also been calling the phone number listed online, but no one is answering, even though the business is currently open.
Went for Nerd Nite which they host every second Thursday of the month. This talk was about' "Why your beer tastes like 💩," "Cryptography," and "Killing Bambi's Mom: the need for morality and existential crises in children's stories." All talks were interesting and engaging. All around good time and quite educational. The only problem was sound. With people talking due to not being interested with the presentations, it made it difficult to hear presenters and individuals with questions at the end. Other than that drinks run pretty steep with your Red Stripe and lighter lagers/pilsners at $6, anything with a slightly higher %ABV was $7, like the Dog fish head Sour. Specialty drink with corresponding location on self determined prices with Gramps Mule with Vodka, $12. After reading the reviews I had to try their raved about pizza. So we got a slice of Bianca and a Hawaiian. The wait was decent, at a price of $9.25. At least from my experience with the Hawaiian, I've had better hand made Brooklyn style pizzas. Just to say the least, pizza crust isn't suppose to make your jaw cramp. Anyways, we'll definitely be back for the science talks or maybe even present our own scientific topic. See you there!
No hay Wifi que creo que puede ser vital para los extranjeros. Buenos precios pero no sé si por la hora el ambiente no era el mejor
Gramps is awesome. Great melting pot of place. Decent drinks. Good bands , good tunes and sometimes some yummy pizzw. Now the fun stuff. They also have always had the suckiest bartenders ever known. Its a small bar and they make like 5 different drinks and yet they still manage to make you wait 30 minutes so they can drink a beer w the new 27-32 year old hipster. I won't be sad to them or there terrible service go. I will miss Gramps and Hannibal Bureas secret and not secret shows and the music and even some of the colorful cast of characters.
Service was really bad. I understand it's busy or you get a big party. We didn't get an order in until we'll after an hour sitting down. My appetizer came out 20 minutes later. My sandwich never came out. Cancelled the sandwich. Food was pretty good. Service was just not good at all. If I ever go back, hopefully it will be different.
Having a guy with obvious mental health and anger issues handling tickets and screaming and insulting guests and professional photographers invited to shoot a band , definitely matches some of the negative comments i read here, Definitely had beers at Temple instead as im not patronizing a place like Gramps with the treatment i got. I understand some employees might be saddened and upset about this place closing but that doesn’t entitle you to be rude and to mistreat people.
Ooof I hate to do negative reviews; so... so, we are walking in Wynwood; and I hear Rock music; I think; that would be a good idea next time my business partners are in Miami; get in; my wife and and I buy a drink; tip 50% to make sure the bartender likes me; we start drinking while a band rehearses. A bouncer or security person approached us; stating it was an event (paid I guess); my wife and I start thinking of paying the fee; I tell the staff member I'm going to finish my drink and leave; all good. Then this person part of "security" with glassy eyes approached us and said we had to leave; I said yes; absolutely; we are finishing our drinks and we are going to leave; we hear back; "is there a problem sir?" we respond no at all; we are going to leave; and "chug" our drinks; at this point forget about business partners and bringing good money to the place. We need to leave thru the bar; a very nice person is guarding the door; I make a comment about this person; he acknowledges and apologizes for the strange behaving person; next thing; this guy is following us; my wife gets upset; I asked her to leave the place; the guy is still following; we get nervous and start walking out; he is still behind us saying something we didn't understand; at this point we wanted out; people is looking at us... we get out of the establishment; he is still saying things we didn't understand; a drunk guy start intervening; we are out. Spoke to another person at the entrance door who was very understanding. I try to call the manager to express my concern; the phone posted in google is a number out of service. As it is clear; I cannot give any rating but one star to a business that has people working under the influence of who knows what (I really hope he was; because the alternative is worst), and with no checks and balances. Final tally; ruined afternoon; never going back; would not recommend to anybody; way better options in the neighborhood; with no random accostment. In my opinion; it is the management fault for hiring a kid with problems; and therefore it is a reflection of the way they manage the business. Will not come back.
I went to the location in Key Biscayne and I gotta say it did not meet my expectations. The food was frankly terrible, and the burger I had came cold and they forgot to bring me the mayo for my fries when I had asked for it instead of the ketchup. The rest of the food was mediocre at best. The server we had was nice, but the place was understaffed. The atmosphere was not very nice either since there was a weird smell in the air.
[They never pick up the phone] I been wanting to call about details of a upcoming show for months, and the number is “not in service at this time” Unacceptable.
I walked in with my gf just to the entrance to check their current menu but I was greeted by an unfriendly staff who refused to hand me a menu before looking into my backpack. He doubled down by saying in a condescending voice that “he will refuse to give me a menu or let me around his establishment before checking my bag”. So I gave him the bag but the way he was power tripping and going through my bag just pissed me off. So I decided to grab my bag and go somewhere else. For your reference here is the bag that mr power tripper was freaking out about! Maybe a good idea to have a menu by the door!
After coming here on Saturday, it makes sense why the reviews on this place keep dropping and dropping. You have to scan your menu and pre pay order drinks on the app and they bring it to you, the first drinks that we ordered took a long time to get to our table, after 15+ minutes we asked a server to check on our drinks, she came back and told us how we had to scan the menu on the table so that they knew where we were(I mean how else would I order without scanning the menu at the table?) The drink was okay, they charge a “Covid relief charge” every time you order another drink through the app. Would I come back? Probably not.
