SoulEdge: Most Excellent Arrived at night to order a Honey Cake. Moments after I walked inside. Someone made comment, saying " American" in a good way. Alina & Angelica (apologies if I got their names wrong) helped me with my Honey Cake order. And since I was hungry, I decided to have Chicken Kiev. Let me say, it is the best Chicken Kiev, I have ever tasted 😋. Nice red sauce & potatoes. A week later I went to pick up the cake. Misha gave me good service. Gratitude 🙏 to Alina, Angelica, Misha, & Sergei. Visit dedicated to my then German American ex girlfriend who looks like Lagertha from a vikings tv show.
This is a gem run by a motivated team who 100% know Russian cooking and present the greatest Russian dishes. Rare Russian specialities like Borjomi mineral water are available. The borscht is the fantastic and so are the Russian salad preparations. Service comes with a smile and patient understanding for novices to Russian cuisine.
Came by to purchase some salad and received such a great service 🙌 Simply want to say: thank you!
After seeing this place on lots of YouTube videos, decided to stop and try it out. Service was a top notch, got explained how it works for ordering. Ordered my food and few minutes later was treated to nice lunch. After finished with lunch desert and coffee was brought over. So the question is, would I come back for their prepared food? Yes, definitely would. Also liked simple ambience, and most important thing I noticed there were lots of people eating lunch. Which is good sign to join them as food they cook was worth the effort to come there. Thank you!
What a super eastern European deli, grocery & Cafe! Seating inside & out. Full coffee & sweets bar! Prepared Ukrainian style food to-go & eat-in. They Will heat up any prepared dishes you wish & serve you with a waitress. I came for lunch & enjoyed a pork Schnitzel, Mashed potatoes, sautéed green greens, Zucchini latka & a potato/mushroom cake. The American coffee was super. Everything was delicious, I ended up taking about half home plus I purchased 3 or 4 salads, pickled beef tongue &chopped liver paté! Super, super service, very fair prices, cheaper than the other market across the street. I will definitely be back!
Excellent Russian store and delicious homemade food. The dumplings and borscht are simply superb! Cakes, pastries, coffee! Kind and beautiful staff. Thank you so much👏
We stopped the day before New Year’s Eve to make lil food shopping and have some lunch ! That is the time of the year exactly when you start feel cravings for traditional Russian food of your background and childhood))😜. Everything was fresh, tasty and we really appreciated that it’s NOT a buffet style! They keep it closed and serve you . So you can be sure hundreds of people didn’t touch your food before. Also have to admit they have the best lox ever. We would come back when we are in Miami again.
What do I do for a living? Answer = Manifest Real Life Magic. You can do the same. Like being in Russia. Cool place. Outdoor tables. Nice selection of Russian beers and homemade food. Other restaurants and stores there in the same theme. Occasionally you'll see Presidents Trump and Putin there.
Delicious European food. The bill for two? Around 55 bucks, excluding tips. Totally worth the taste bud adventure without breaking the bank. Highly recommend it for a flavorful and reasonably priced meal!
nice assortment of eastern european delights, preserves and sweets ....
My first time here but when I saw what they had to eat. It was absolutely amazing, the food was great and most of the choices were from the Russian cuisine. Great service, great food, and in all great place to go to. It also has a nice outside area to sit at.🙂
Great place, nice service, kind staff and reasonable prices. Plenty of parking. The store has a variety of products from Eastern Europe, cooked warm food is served daily. It also functions as a convenience store, with products ranging from fruit and vegetables to wine and spirits. Dairy products as well as meat etc... In short, a lovely place. I am glad they are around. Good luck guys. Will surely go there again.
Some Russian food is always good for my stomach—it’s comforting, flavorful, and really hits the spot.
I came here my very first time in Sunny isles because of one of my friends took me here to try out her favorite Russian dish called borsh. It’s like a tomato 🍅soup but it’s like a million jillion times more flavorful and delicious and has such a eccentric taste, highly recommend trying it and the meatball soup they have it’s also very delicious. You can sit inside or outside and they have their own little supermarket where you can buy products from Russia 🇷🇺 and tasty foods and meals and delicacy’s from their little bakery as well it’s honestly very nice and cute.
I went today to Kalinka after not being there in a couple years. I have to say it changed a lot in a good way. The place looks very clean and organized, plus the food that we ordered was delicious. I think the salad "shuba" was made right before we got there and all the rest of the food tasted very good and it was fresh, which is very important to me. Definitely going back again!
My home away from home! Food is soooo good! I think I became a regular here. My favorite draft beer is always ice cold! I know that everything is always fresh here! Staff is always recommending something new to try.
Big choice of ready to eat food. Excellent service. Very delicious dishes. Affordable prices. The Deli has tables inside and outside.
Great Service! Amazing selection on cafe/restaurant food.. Will return! Thank you to the super welcoming and nice cashier "Nina".
Wonderful atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious fresh homemade food. Love the soups there, meats and salads 🌟
Kalinka is a wonderful store! It is filled with a variety of delicious Eastern European products. The staff are very helpful and friendly, and the manager of the store is outstanding and very kind! Thank you Kalinka for everything. We hope to be going back really soon! :D
Great place to taste authentic Russian food. Great service with attentive and fast waiters. Make an order, take number and surprisingly food comes in 5 minutes, and it is fresh and tasty.
Great place, great food! It's not authentic however, because the real Russian place would have rude, angry staff, whereas this place has the nicest Russians I've ever met! I'd recommend this place to anyone to familiarize himself with real Russian dishes.
By far the best Russian deli I've seen. What impresses me is ridiculously friendly staff especially for Miami.. haven't seen such welcoming services since small town Midwest stores. Самый лучший русский магазин который я когда либо видел.
The steaks just melt in your mouth! The atmosphere of Porter House is perfect for a cozy evening
Great European food, lots of selection, one of the the best in the area!
This food store&restaurant in one really good. All meal is great. Staff is very nice and polite. There is a space outside where you can sit and have breakfast, lunch, dinner or just a cup of coffee. I had dinner there couple times. I am going to go to this store every time I will be in Miami. Thanks for your service
I've eaten at this place for 7 years, 5 times a week. The Best Russian Deli South of New Jersey State line! The food is always fresh. The staff is friendly and enthusiastic! The best eating place for your money!!! That's if you like Russian food! Edouard M.
Such a WONDERFUL experience & place. Customer Service is AWESOME!!! I visited from another state where we don’t have a big Russian selection in our European store & wanted to try several different cakes here. The gentleman let me try several before buying one. Plus, they greet you with a smile and a friendly face. Come here (don’t go next door to Matryoshka, unless you really have to.. because the experience at Matryoshka is So “Russian Rude” that it brought me back to Russia in a sense. Here it was So friendly!!
Food was very delicious! We discovered this place during our vacation in Florida. It was very convenient to go get hot and ready lunch. I would recommend to try red borcht, me and my wife really like it!
This is my favorite cafe in Miami. There's delicious food there. When I'm sad and I don't know what to eat at home, Kalinka always comes to the rescue. I am always satisfied with my care there. All the cakes are very tasty, of the dishes I like the cutlet with cheese and the pepper and eggplant salad the most. I recommend to try. They also have delicious borscht and hodgepodge. I recommend this place 100%
During our short stay in Miami, we discovered this small Deli with Russian/Ukrainian food specialities. We liked it immediately from the first interaction with the staff at the counter. Service staff was very friendly, prices were moderate. Would recommend this place definitely.
My wife and I came in to have some breakfast and coffee and what we received was an amazing home style cooked breakfast with eggs, toast, potatoes, and ham. With a fresh roast of coffee. We were warmly greeted and welcomed to eat in. We ate on real plates and silverware just like home. Thank you for this great morning experience while we were visiting. I would highly recommend this establishment.
The service is very friendly, we loved Napoleon and Honeycake
I am a regular client. I would like to thank this incredible and caring team. They put their hearts into making this place so welcoming. The food is wonderful. They keep adding new options. I love fresh juices, variety of soups, a special breakfast menu, meatballs, baked vegetables, and many other things. Thank you Anna, Angelina, Nina, Tetiana, Svetlana, Slava and Tina for an incredible service and making Kalinka such a homey place.
Great Russian-European store/eatery. Been going there for years! They have the best pirozhki with meat! (If you know you know)
I cannot say enough good things about Kalinka - both the taste and quality of their food and their employees' attitude - all very polite, nice, and full of positive energy! I don't recall feeling so welcomed at any other Russian store or restaurant Florida or other states. We wanted to return there again and again, but unfortunately our vacation came to the end. I wish we didn't waste time to other places on this plaza and came to Kalinka sooner. We had an opportunity to eat there twice and both times food was amazingly tasty and fresh. We tried borsch (hot and cold summer one too) - AMAZING, the best ever!!! Home fried potato, rice with veggies, chicken, different salads and their cakes are so good too! The store is small but has everything we were looking for. It wasn't my first visit to Kalinka as I've been here few tbefore, but it was first time for my family and they said Kalinka's food and service was the highlight of our trip - the best. I am not sure how Kalinka is managing such a great consistency in great food, but every single time I've been there the food tasted similarly great!
This is a great place for ready made cooked food. It is Russian owned, so you can expect wonderful Eastern European dishes. They have a few tables with service, and can get busy during lunch time. They also sell European style cold cuts and cheeses. On the few shelves they offer different Eastern European groceries. Prices are reasonable and service is OK. I only visit them for take out cooked dishes. Recommended.
Guys, you’re really good for many years. Food, service, nice friendly waiters. everything except music radio. ШАНСОН? Really? With no options to change the station. Please, do something with it. It’s a mood killer. There’s no 90th bandits here tho
I always stop by for fresh home made food every time I’m in Miami. Severs are very polite and helpful. A lot better attitude from servers compared to other Russian speaking deli. Svetlana and Oksana are very nice sweet ladies. Thank you and we will be back
I like this place a lot. Is a small and cozy place to shop. A little bit of everything for every taste. Prices are a little hot, but at least for me, it's worth the drive.
I got Russian snacks and drinks that taste so good I get them every 3 days I mean like the cookies are sooo yummy 🤤🤤 I ate too much and skipped lunch and the juices they have I love. They have lots of Russian and Canada snacks and drinks it's lovely and the service at the cash register was normal and the smell of the store was fruity and candy like. The candy was great. The prices are fair for the product and quality or taste.
The best borscht ever consistently after all these years. I don't want to let the secret out but it's better than what my mom makes.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Kalinka is a fantastic store! We saw it listed as a Ukrainian shop on Google, so of course we had to stop by — and we’re so glad we did! Everything we bought was super tasty and felt truly homemade. The flavors reminded us of home, and the overall vibe of the shop is warm and welcoming. 🇺🇦 Huge respect to the team — you’re doing a great job. Keep it up! 🙌💛
Place has a lot of varieties and plenty Russian and Ukrainian groceries. They also had take out food, did not try on this location, but it looked good and place was very clean.
Delicious food, great service, affordable prices! Thank you for service!! I highly recommend this place.
Had a wonderful dinner here. Everything from appetizers to dessert was delicious. Highly recommend!
Kalinka Euro Deli is an absolute delight for anyone craving authentic European flavors in a cozy, welcoming setting. From the moment I stepped inside, I was impressed by the friendly atmosphere and the wide selection of deli products that bring a true taste of Europe to Fort Lauderdale. The food here is fantastic! I tried several dishes, including the classic Russian beet salad, homemade pierogi, and a delicious kielbasa platter. Every bite was full of rich, authentic flavors that transported me straight to Eastern Europe. The portions are generous, and the quality is top-notch, clearly made with care and traditional recipes. What really sets Kalinka Euro Deli apart is the staff — they are warm, attentive, and always happy to offer recommendations or share stories behind the dishes. It feels like you’re visiting a friend’s home rather than a restaurant. In addition to the food, the deli also offers a great variety of imported European goods, perfect for anyone looking to take a little taste of Europe home. If you want genuine European comfort food with a personal touch, Kalinka Euro Deli is the place to go. I’m already planning my next visit!
This restaurant is a masterpiece! Every detail, from the decor to the presentation of the dishes, is absolutely stunning. It’s clear that a lot of thought has gone into creating such a unique experience. If you’re ever thinking about enhancing your branding or refreshing your visual identity to reflect this same level of excellence, I’d be thrilled to help. Your style deserves to be celebrated both inside and out!
Kalinka never disappoints! Whenever I’m in Miami, it’s my go-to spot for authentic Russian cuisine. The borscht is absolutely amazing - rich, flavorful, and comforting, just like homemade. The menu is full of classic favorites, and every dish is prepared with care and attention to detail. It’s a must-visit for anyone looking to experience the true taste of Russian food.
Cant believe they are still open! I used to come here as a kid at least 20 years ago! Best deli in town
Excellent food and service! Thank you
I had a chance to try Borsh at 'Kalinka', and at the place 'All you need', located right next door, and I have to admit that first place is outstanding in terms of soup quility and taste and also the price is more then affordable in Kalinka
I stopped by Kalinka today — and it felt like a cozy little corner of home. The fish soup (uha) was amazing — rich, warm, full of flavor. Their lightly salted cucumbers were just perfect, and the mushroom cutlet — soft and earthy, beautifully done. And the sea buckthorn tea with real berries — oh, that was a gem! 🍊✨ Such a lovely place to enjoy something simple and heartfelt. Thank you for keeping the Slavic spirit alive — with real taste and warmth.
Absolutely love Kalinka Store in Sunny Isles! The food is always fresh, delicious, and full of flavor — from cottage cheese, milk, and dumplings to mouth-watering desserts. 🥟🍰 They have a huge selection of Russian and Ukrainian dishes and products, everything tastes homemade and authentic. The atmosphere is cozy, and you can truly feel the love in every detail. One of my favorite stores — highly recommend! ❤️
Tasty food! We looove to have breakfasts at Kalinka, when visiting. Best SHAKSHUKA ever, and their lox is something!!! Highly recommend!!!! Very nice and quick service! Thanks to the whole Kalinka team and especially to Narina for taking care of us.
Loved this place! The lady at the counter was so sweet and let me try the different varieties of the famous honey cake! So tasty. Must visit!
We really enjoyed breakfast lunch and dinner at this restaurant. Food is always fresh and taste amazing. Big fan of their coffee😊However I didn’t like service much in my last visit. The thing is when I went there to have my breakfast with my family the lady who was serving us didn’t seem friendly towards me. I am not sure what was her problem. If I recall her name was Tina. The rest of staff were super nice. Also I really wish they would expand their dining area.
Great homemade food. Kristine was very helpful with suggestions. Turkey cutlet and salmon was seasoned well. Enjoyed the fried cabbage and croissant. The desserts were delicious. The napoleon & tiramisu were fresh. Met a friendly couple from Denver, CO who sat behind me outside.
Kalinka is part restaurant part food mart, With inside out side seating. They have Russian Food that is already prepared and ready to serve. Some dishes are served cold while others Are served hot. The food is delicious and reasonable. In the store, they have really good red caviar, bread, chocolate, liquor, etc. A Great place!!!
the food is delicious, we liked everything, in general everything is very tasty and feels like home. Our favs is borsch, solyanka, and shashlyk I also saw a very large cockroach in the toilet, I hope they are not there anymore
Excellent Russian gourmet market. They have some of the best bologna on the planet. They have great selections of herring too. Lots of Russian delicacies. The quality of the prepared food is some of the best in the area, however it is pricey. Everything is expensive actually. But it is difficult to find fresh prepared foods that are edible in Miami. My favorite is the herring shuba. Not sure if I spelled that right. It's a layered dish of cooked and shredded beets and carrots, diced cooked potatoes, chopped marinated herring and mayo. It's absolutely delicious. The market has fresh made desserts that are just Ok and way overpriced but if you are in the mood for honey cake and thin multilayer cake, you may like it. Bring someone who speaks Russian or you might get some slow cooked tongue instead of a stuffed pepper.
I had a very good experience overall. The servers were very nice and they were quick to take your order. The food was fresh and the portions were large. I paid $12 for a full meal with 2 sides. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting to try Russian cuisine.
The food is great, the service is wonderful, the staff is friendly and welcoming. The prices are steep. They have the best syrniki in the area, but they have recently raised the price again from $4 to $5 each - that's just too much, sorry (even $4 was too much). I just reduced my visits
I’ve been a customer of Kalinka for a long time and have always enjoyed their food. I love soups and salads. Also, I used to like the stuffed peppers, but for some reason, they’re not as flavorful anymore. I really hope they bring back the old ones.😄
This place likely gets most of it's products from New York because it all looks exactly like what we have in various delis around Brighton. The prices are through the roof for products that are clearly not fresh due to time expended during transit. Staff is OK, but they all have an attitude like they're doing you a favor. Matryoshka is right next door and way better, although their staff is similar. It's that Miami flair, everybody acts like they're the hottest thing since sliced cold cuts. I understand it, but it gets annoying really fast. Stay humble, folks, we're all human no matter how much money we make, what clothes we wear, and whatever cars we drive. We all bleed the same 💯
Not bad for Russian store to get food , good cooked food also better then next door.,also not the cheapest in the area but its Ok. They only thing you got people drinking alcohol in front and doesn't look good. "Alcoholics " some of them Not All .. on front porch screening every person who comes in. Specially if its a girl not sure why they need that. But anyways a good store Clean most important.
Food is modest. Service is great. But the prices! To take eggs from Costco and increase the price 2.5x is foolish eggs that are sold for $7.69 for $16.99 is ridiculous. To make a customer a fool is not good buisness.
Decent store in general. However, paid $60 for 4 packages of veal bologna sausages (sold pre-packaged, not by weight) which is absolutely ridiculous. 2 packages contained small and 2 contained large, 4 ea. Complete rip-off. The rest of items purchased seemed somewhat reasonable.
Update: Quality went way down. Prices went up . Portions don't make sense. Past review: Feels like a local little village restaurant somewhere in the european mountains. Even the servers are authentic! Incredible home style exquisite dishes. Fresh prepared dishes you can see with your eyes. Everything in this magical place is made here. Prepare to experience different yet familiar foods. A place you can eat everyday on a budget and feel healthy.
Second time I waited 20 minutes to buy my 3 yr old soup. They were unorganized & rude. I told 3 different people they saw I was with a child then I waited longer to be rung out & they helped a gentleman who came in after me first. No one wanted to do their job. They only have a few good things to buy. They have a better location right next door where you can eat outside & while it may be more expensive at least it’s people friendly. They should let people serve themselves if they don’t want to serve people. I’m never going in there again.
Food is good SERVICE IS AWFUL ,prices are very high
The most horrible customer service ever. Disaster ! Once a year I can come to get a Russian Norah and probably owner step out and mention that you cannot feed the birds outside or if you want to feed them they not gonna serve you … so just make sure you’re not poison in this place Never ever will come to visit them and will tell everyone about this situation In the end I just have no mote patient even to finish my soup.
Anytime we are in this location we go to this store. It's not always fresh, prices are pretty much high, food is good, but the atmosphere was alright. With our last experience this week I will never come back to this place. Our order was taken, so we took a seat and 20 minutes later I saw other tables already served. So the server that took our order forgot and lost it, so we just left. The attitude from people working there is terrible, I don't even talk about a simple apology. The server looked that he was parting all night and it was a torture for him to be at that place. I just feel total disgust to this place now. Rude, unprofessional, dirty and soul not ever recommend this to anyone.
Every time I come to Florida this is the spot I go to. We like the food, but the service here? Yeah, much to be desired. I go in with my wife and daughter, we’re waiting to place a to go order. I’m literally watching two of the workers by the register; both on their phones talking while I’m standing there maybe 5 minutes to try and order something. At that point, the lady gives me this death stare as if I just did something wrong. Not coming back, that’s for sure.
The food was not only terrible in taste, but my entire family got food poisoning after eating at this place. We were sick for the entire evening. When I contacted the restaurant, the manager completely dismissed the situation. Instead of taking responsibility or even apologizing, she claimed that this was “impossible” and said this had never happened before. She demanded official medical proof and suggested that only after an investigation and formal examination could we communicate with their insurance company. This response was shocking. At the very least, a refund should have been offered. Instead, the manager showed zero empathy and no willingness to properly investigate what happened. This place clearly lacks basic responsibility, customer care, and food safety standards. I would strongly advise others to think twice before eating here.
I feel bad giving only 1 star, but today I had absolutely terrible experience after having sweet amazing experience of shopping came to my car .. with gorgeous bags in my hands , my car was tow away from parking lot… even I ask ladies at store is ok I park my car here..they said .. oh ya you can be here no problem all day… I just give you fare waring be careful about parking lot 🅿️ it’s not free at all you have to be ether in the car or stay next to the car ( literally.) all the time or other wise they will tow your car at your own expense.. my day was terrible because of that.. This never happened with before my car being towed away.. I was in middle of road trip driving just stop by to get some groceries I’m not even from this town… :(
In general food is ok. Shawerma is awful cold and idk how long ago made. I gave 1 star for my delivery order to hotel because I didn’t find any cutlery and napkins. I ordered soups for 3 people and we had to share one baby’s spoon, this is the only one piece of flatware what I have with me for my daughter. Very upset with service.
