Food was so good, we had the ceviche. Sushi rolls were half off, our favorite was the huancaina roll, the sashimi quality was great. Our server Bernardo was on point, super friendly and attentive. Always anticipated our needs. The female food runner was very nice and caring. The ambiance is so dreamy. This place is a hit.

The food was amazing, the service was spectacular, and it wasn't full so the atmosphere also felt nice, another plus was the open bar. While it's not the cheapest restaurant the prices aren't that bad, we were a party of 4 so gratuity is automatically applied for bigger party’s. Also tango sliders and Tiger ceviche are awesome

Yum. We had a late lunch of chicken lettuce tacos, the chicken empanada and the taste of gables menu - pork bao and sushi with the 4 leches cake. Everything tasted fresh and excellent. Was so excited for dessert completely missed the photo! The flavors and textures were great on everything.

The vibe in this restaurant is electric. It is rare when I can say how uniquely delicious the sushi rolls are. If the Taste of Coral Gables or Miami Spice is going on when you visit, you need to try those menus. Enjoy!

Wonderful mothers day experience! Helen was our server and she was attentive and professional. They started us off with a complementary appetizer and a complementary bottle of prosecco. Awesome experience due in part by Carlos Mauricio's service. He was energetic, attentive, and patient with our group. The food was also surprisingly great - we visited for the Miami Spice menu and was pleasantly delighted by the portions and quality. The appetizers like the pork buns and lettuce wraps were flavorful, the sushi assortments are creative and unique, and the grilled octopus was exquisite. The restaurant itself is very spacious and not pumping loud music like other places, but still lively and well-themed.

We had a group party here and everything was great. Helpful staff, great food and the ambiance was perfect for our event.

My brother a I stopped by Kao for some quick sushi and drinks. The food was phenomenal reasonably priced, and they had a good happy hour.

Came for the Miami Spice menu and thought the food was delicious! Definitely worth the price. Ceviche was great. The chimichurri was the best I’ve ever had and it paired amazingly with the meats. The flan was also superb. Their sushi platter, however, was not great (too much cream cheese and frankly just a weird flavor). Order any of the Argentine items, but skip the sushi. Overall the service was good, although we felt disappointed at the menu substitutions, especially given that the place was empty (no lamb and no cookie skillet).

I enjoyed this place so much. Excellent food and service. The prices are reasonable and they have great deals in drinks and sushi during "happy hour". Saturdays happy hour goes until 8:00!

We had a great date night, the food was great the attention was superb, "Thank you Marco" we ordered from the menu the huancaina roll was delicious and the fire mixed seafood appetizer was even better, they have a twenty dollars corkage fee. They also had a very good D.J. music was nice and not overwhelming. Again service was nice without being intrusive. We will certainly return.

The experience was amazing. Our waiter Carlos is the type of waiter that brings patrons back to a restaurant just to be served by him. His enthusiasm and knowledge of the menu brings a smile to my face every time he spoke. We have an off menu sushi roll called the sweet and sour which was excellent. Linguini Alfredo was a good meal also. Presentation of the food and desserts was spectacular. The tres leches and flan was perfect.

We decided to change place at the last minute and we were so happy we decided to go to Kao last night to anticipate Valentine’s celebration with my sister and brother-in-law . Carlos was super attentive and friendly, food was spectacular, drinks were delicious. We had a few different dishes and All were to die for!! The music outside was so relaxing, beautiful place to go with friends or for a romantic night. Definitely we will go back to try a few more dishes. Thank you Carlos for your outstanding services.

I’ve been told the sushi here is great, personally haven’t tried them but I believe they must be good based on what I got. The Argentinian Chorizo Bun were a ver pleasant surprise to start the night. The main course was also pretty good, beef churrasco like only Argentinians know how to make. Totally recommend this place, it has many options for different tastes and they seem to be all good.

We celebrated our company Holiday dinner at Kao and it exceeded our expectations! Everything from the food to the atmosphere to the service was amazing. The options and variety of the menu were excellent and all my team was commenting on how delicious the food was. I had the sushi and it was so good and the milanesas were great too. The servers were so attentive, always looking after every single one of us. 100 % recommend Kao for any events or just a night out. We loved it.

The environment is very calm. The interior design was very different from other places I’ve been too. The staff went above and beyond to serve our table. I especially loved interacting with Helen. She was very kind and patient with our group. I love how she took care of my friends. She even mentioned some specials that we never heard of for Wednesday and Thursday. The only time I've been here has only been to attend an event, but the bar was mostly where i was. The drinks were relatively cheap compared to other bars at most places, but it still a bit pricey. Had a great time and the waitresses were really nice. Had an awesome time and would come by again soon.

We found this place out of luck and I am so happy we did. The food was amazing. We ordered Sushi, skirt steak, chicken wraps, Grilled Octopus and salad. The taste was 10 out of 10 on all the items Helen was the waitress helping us and she was amazing as well. Making sure we had everything we needed and getting us refills and anything else we needed before we could even ask. I totally recommend eating here. The location itself is very pretty and spacious.

Kao Sushi was a great dining experience...besides great sushi it has a variety of plates like the seafood wok with a white wine sauce that extrapolated your taste buds. The service was excellent as always. The ambience is a very chic open atmosphere that allows you the option to sit outside al fresco or inside.

The rest of the staff was so attentive with details, making sure our table stayed clean and consistently bringing us water. They are team players. She made us these out of this world cocktails as well. Definitely a new go to spot for me.

Una fusión argentina-japonesa que realmente sorprende. Disfrutamos de una cena en la terraza, que es súper agradable, especialmente con el clima fresco que hacía. Comenzamos con unas empanadas argentinas deliciosas: porciones generosas, muy bien preparadas y con variedad para elegir. Después pedimos un sushi llamado Huancaína, que venía con salsa huancaína. Estaba espectacular: colorido, bien presentado y con un sabor que combina perfectamente lo mejor de ambas cocinas. La atención fue excelente, muy amables y atentos en todo momento, lo que hizo la experiencia aún mejor. No pedimos postre esta vez, pero cerramos la noche con un café que estaba excelente. Sin duda, volveremos. ¡Muy recomendado!

A mis hijos les encanta las empanadas de jamón y queso y las tango sliders … también tienen una variedad de sushi y he tenido la oportunidad de comer casi todos y mi favorito es el “placer real”. Came here for Miami Spice (2nd year in a row). This place has great value. Food is good, portions are big, and they are really loading you with food for the price. A $45 dinner menu left us completely stuffed AND they included a glass of wine or beer at the price. Negatives for me are around the atmosphere. They are blasting music outside and it's very off-putting. And the interior had a thick "perfume-like" smell that was unsettling.

The restaurant is in a great location it’s interior fitting the location. Staff very accommodating parking little bit of a problem maybe Sears nearby may be a good place to park. The meats were excellent pastas with the pink sauce del. They have the best ceviche of anywhere.

This place is an Asian fusion w/ Peruvian touch. I went for their Miami Spice lunch. The starter and dessert were ok but the main - shrimp rice - was excellent. Portions were very generous. Other places get a bad rap for small portions on their Miami Spice offerings. Service was attentive and friendly. The music is a little too loud for my liking.

Beautiful place, delicious steak but sushi it’s not that good for a place named “SushiClub” I was disappointed... they really need to improve their sushi menu. But overall it was a nice experience, friendly staff and beautiful decoration.

The restaurant is very large and good for bigger groups. The fusion sushi items are well crafted with a variety of flavors. There are grilled items as well which make it suitable for all tastes.

The restaurant is beautiful, right on miracle mile. The hostess was wonderful. The service was just ok. We had the Miami spice dinner for $45. We chose the sliders as appetizer which included two large very tasty burgers accompanied by an incredible chimichurri sauce. For entrees, we chose 2 sushi rolls each. For being a sushi restaurant they offer a limited selection, but what we had was fresh and delicious. Unfortunately, the four leches dessert we were really looking forward to was not at the right temperature to serve, despite our pleading and it being past 8 pm. We instead had the strawberry mousse and flan. The mousse was delicious but we returned the flan as the flavor was off. As for cocktails, we were not informed of the happy hour special when we arrived. When I asked, I was told it ended at 7 and although we arrived before 7 he would not offer it at 7:05.

Came to try it out during Miami Spice , we unfortunately left disappointed. Our server was friendly & attentive. The space looks great but was incredibly empty. Figured lunch on a Monday typical slow day. For starters we had the pork bao buns and they were completely unacceptable. The bao buns themselves aren't steamed they are grilled which gives a off putting texture, the pork tasted as though it had regular bbq sauce nothing Asian inspired & the onion were just plain sautéed onion no pickly bite to them . Then garnished with a piece of parsley 😑 The sushi, we got the rainbow roll and the dragon roll. The rainbow roll was good & of great value. Would get again. The dragon roll also wasn't bad but didn't seem like the most cohesive flavors. Overall we thought for the Miami spice deal the sushi was worth it. Dessert was the four leches which was good. Almost a bit too sweet and not the most remarkable. Was a nice addition to the deal. All and all. Wouldn't return except for maybe 1/2 priced sushi on a Monday.

I normally don't write reviews but I don't understand the 4.5 score on Google. Although the service was excellent, the food was not good. Nobody in our group liked their food. I consider myself a bit of a foodie and I can honestly say the food was mediocre at best. The fish in the ceviche was chewy. The octopus was really tough. The pork in the ramen looked old. It's unfortunate because it is in a nice location. We will not return.

This place was my plan after I found Sushi Chef was closed on Mondays. The reviews are not very relevant. This place has some rice and fish, and somehow they call it sushi. I have been a customer since 2020 and the food is always GREAT. But after not coming here for over 1year I came back with my family tonight. The food remains great, but the service was RIDICULOUS. Seriously, who oversees this place? The place was EMPTY and still we had to BEG to get our check. The waiters seat you outside but prefer to stay inside just chatting, laughing and having a good time among them. The customer? Who needs them, right?

It took almost 2 hours to get a mix ceviche and 1 salmon roll. Also, I order a blueberry lemonade and 1 Argentinian empanada and never got it. No go good experience 😕 But I can said the mix ceviche was good for this reason I will give 2 stars

The older waiter, bald gentleman was incredibly rude when my friends and I were ordering our food; he outwardly said “no, you cannot order that” without offering any other options or at least apologizing for the inconvenience. The food (kao chicken) itself wasn’t that well made. The sushi tasted fresh though. I wouldn’t recommend this spot just because of the service, there’s better sushi in this area! But, if you’re looking for an empty place where you’ll be seated quickly it may be for you.

One Star I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. I have a serious shellfish allergy, and I made sure to inform the waiter multiple times about this before ordering. My friend and I were dining, and besides us, there was only one other person at the bar, so the restaurant was almost empty. Given how quiet it was, I expected the staff to take my allergy more seriously and ensure proper precautions. I specifically chose a tuna sushi variation and was reassured by the waiter that it had no shellfish components and was safe for me to eat. Unfortunately, after leaving the restaurant, I experienced a severe allergic reaction, likely due to cross-contamination in the kitchen. It’s unacceptable that a restaurant, especially one serving sushi where allergens are common, would not take such a serious food allergy more carefully, particularly when they were not busy. This lack of attention put my health at great risk, and I cannot recommend this place to anyone with food sensitivities or allergies. I hope the restaurant takes this seriously to prevent dangerous incidents like this in the future.

Dylan the owner is very rude. The place is nice the food is ok but don’t expect for any good service. I have been here two times and very disappointed. Don’t come here if you want to have fun. The food is ok not great. They told us they will make it up to us for their bad place they put us and yet never did. Don’t expect anything from this place.
