Very authentic and fresh Mexican food, located next to MDC Homestead campus. It was recommended to me by a friend and it didn't disappoint. All of the choices on the menu were mouthwatering, and the service was great! Prices were not bad either. The food is enough for two sittings and the presentation is appealing. I had a sampler, which was tasty, but next time I will try the popular Molcajete.

My wife was crazy happy with the food service and flavor. Finding authentic flavorful Mexican food in Miami is almost impossible until now. Come and enjoy the brilliance here!

The employees of Largo Honda highly recommended this restaurant. They were right, it was very good. We got “The Tres Amigos”… two tacos, two enchiladas and two tostadas with rice and beans. I liked the tacos the best, my husband liked the tostadas. It was all good. The service was very friendly and helpful. The only thing we’d recommend is to brush up on your Spanish or better yet, bring Spanish speaking friends! We did fine but needed a little help! But it was all fun.

This place was was outstanding! The molcajete had amazing flavor. The salsa and tortilla chips is on point. Oh, and of course we had to get the michelada vip is ridiculous and worth it. Definitely going back there next time I'm in Florida city.

This is my first visit to an authentic Mexican restaurant in the US and I enjoyed the experience and food.. as described by my son, the ambiance at the restaurant is cozy and feels like you’re dining at home- think homemade Mexican food thoughtfully prepared… the decor is thoughtful and authentic, the staff is warm and welcoming, the food is AMAZING.. full of flavor and just delicious, we got so much food because we wanted to try everything.. I will definitely return to try more items on the menu

Every bite was packed with authentic flavors that transported me to a different place. It was not busy when I arrived so I was able to seat myself. The ambiance and atmosphere were great. There is outdoor seating but it was 200°! No thanks. Ha My order was taken quickly. I had been wanting a good Michealada, so that was the choice. It was great with Modelo. I ordered the Taco plate. Carne Asada and Carnitas. Good flavored. Red and green salsa was amazing! When in town I will be back.

When you want authentic Mexican food, this is the place to go. All of the food is incredible. The taquiza is my favorite (see photo). They stuff their homemade tortillas with plenty of meat. My bf gets wet burritos in whatever restaurant they offer this meal & this place has his favorite. The service is also excellent! Great Mexican atmosphere as well. Can’t say good enough things about this awesome family-owned business.

I came here to have dinner with my family of 4 (including me) and I can say I was not disappointed. We got nachos for appetizer and they were good. For dinner, I ordered cerdo en salsa verde (pig in green sauce) with the side of rice and beans (that came with it) and it was amazing. For drinks I got a Jarrito de mandarina and it was also amazing. The workers are very welcoming and kind. What’s even best is that they’re dressed in their Mexican culture. For ex. they had dresses on with flower decorations. The restaurant itself is also decorated beautifully, it has a lot of Mexican decorations and in general it’s just very nice. I would def love to come back here! ☺️

The food was excellent, each and every plate had a unique taste. There is a bit of waiting time before food is served but it's worth the small wait. The servers are very polite and quick when it comes to asking for things. I highly recommend to try it out if you want a taste of real Mexican food with actual flavor. Keep in mind good food takes time to make especially from scratch.

The food was amazing! They definitely deserve a higher rating because the flavor is on point and everything was fresh. We had the Guac, Tres Amigos and the 5 taco platter and we devoured it all. It is a lively atmosphere with friendly staff. We will definitely return because we can’t find anything like it in Miami.

While I was down in Homestead, exploring the local National Parks, I was looking for the best local cuisines to dine at. In my research, I found La Cruzada, which seems like more of an authentic Mexican restaurant, and less of an American Mexican restaurant. Both have their merits, of course, but I just had to check this place out. The inside décor felt similar to the Mexican restaurant vibe I got from the menu and pictures online. I liked it a lot. A variety of Mexican music blasted from the speakers in all of their many dining rooms, all looking very different from one another. It was tough to keep up with my host, with all my looking around at staff. But anyway. I got seated and ordered some food. I looked at the menu, lots of good options, and I settled on the Molcajete (Chicken, Beef Fajita & Shrimp mixed in red sauce, fried cheese, chives & cactus leaves. Served with rice & beans). I also asked for a side of tortillas. Look at the pic. This thing was intimidating and very attractive. Everything was soaking in that deeply flavored red sauce, so you have to go digging. But one you find your prize, man, the chicken is just so juicy and charred up, the beef was tender and spiced well, the shrimp were huge and plump and not overcooked. The unique elements here were the fried cheese and the cactus, and I loved them both. Put some with some rice and beans in a little taco, mwah, chef's kiss. I also got to try the Tres Amigos (2 tostadas, 2 tacos, 2 enchiladas with rice & beans). I love flights, and this was a nice little flight of some simple basics. The tostadas were excellent and crispy, and the enchilada sauce was perfect, just a good dish. No complaints. Overall, the difference between a place like this and an American Mexican restaurant is very obvious in aesthetics and menu items. If you haven't been to a place like this, I recommend it. It's a good experience, and this was a give start one of those experiences.

Delicious authentic Mexican food in the Homestead area. We popped in for a quick dinner and trusted the reviews here - glad we did. Staff greeted us and sat us quickly on a weekday. The indoor area is festive and cozy. We appreciated the AC on a hot summers day. We ordered quickly, trusting our gut. Started with the queso fundido - really good melted cheese that came out with fresh chips and some salsa. Salsa had a good kick to it, too! Got the enchiladas positanos (kinda spicy potato filled?) and enchiladas de camaron for the mains. It was all just really tasty - definitely not tex mex or over-commercialized chain Mexican. It felt legit and we really appreciated that. Overall, fantastic service and will easily recommend a stop here. Next time we’re in town, we’d go again.

great food right in the center of homestead. we got birria, fajitas, and enchiladas and everything was great. prices were fine but not great. it was a little difficult to get the servers attention and you needed a key to get to the bathroom which was a bit annoying, but generally the ambiance was great and the food was excellent.

We went to La Cruzada as a recommendation from a local barber and were very happy with the choice. We had a fantastic choice of tacos and as appetizer a mixed plate. The service was very friendly, and we loved the atmosphere. Very decent prices added up to a great experience!

First time visiting, did some research for good authentic Mexican food and we loved it. Plates are huge and food is prepared nicely and in timely manner. We will return. We ordered tortilla soup and plates that had a little of everything to try out the most we could. Menu is filled with pictures which I love. And well explained.

I just want to share that I have been coming here for ten plus years and they have always met my standards and expectations when it comes to authentic Mexican food. The restaurant is clean, interior is super cute and meets the vibe of the culture, I love how they have events for entertainment in the restaurant. The food here is good. Me and my friends had the botana sampler to get a taste of their food and it was pretty good. I had the tacos de Al pastor and carne asada as my entree. It was okay I wasn’t the biggest fan of them. The server was nice and respectful. The Interior decoration is really nice and fits the Mexican restaurant nicely.

Food was fantastic, a lot of real Mexican flavors the 3 amigos platter give you a bit of everything, different meats and textures, really good combination, barbacoa taco was good flavor but a little low in meat! Service was ok until the moment we have to pay, server didn’t brought the bill, so she just said the amount without mentioning 15% of tip was included so we paid and add 20% to it, this time she got 35% of tip. BE AWARE TIP IS INCLUDED and they should mentioned!!!

The food is great, traditional Mexican food. After checking a couple of Mexican restaurants in Miami, I found La Cruzada Restaurant with authentic Mexican food. The only negative critique and the reason why I didn't give them 5 stars was because they ran out of dessert. However, the quality of the main dishes made up for it. The tacos were flavorful and packed with fresh ingredients. The enchiladas had just the right amount of spice, and the guacamole was creamy and delicious. The service was also excellent, with attentive waitstaff who were knowledgeable about the menu. Overall, I highly recommend La Cruzada Restaurant for a satisfying and authentic Mexican dining experience.

Food was great, and delicious. The ambience was very authentic mexican and its a family owned establishment. Two things upset me that would require me not to give it 5 stars. #1 They added the 15% gratuity without my knowledge. #2 After they served us, the server dissapeared and didnt come back till 40min later and didnt speak loud enough to hear her thru the mask.

Came here for Cinco de Mayo. This location is on a corner with indoor and outdoor seating. Staff smile and are friendly and bilingual. Food is good as well. The margarita was ok. It’s a good atmosphere of people and food. There was outside entertaining going on that had just started. Inviting and comfortable here. I would eat here again 💯

Authentic Mexican restaurant loved that when ordered tacos they bring you, the onions, cilantro, limes, and sauces. Downside SO MANY flies, which was annoying we were waving trying to prevent them from touching our food.

Been coming here for years. Last night the service was horrible. After they brought the food, we barely saw our waitress. No water refill, when it was time to go, it took her literally 25 minutes to bring us the check after we asked for it.. the hostess had to bring us a doggy bag and the check. Hoping this was a one time thing, because we really love this place.

Tacos looked too small for the price i was paying which was 19.80 for the birria tacos with a jarrito plus a to go charge with a credit card sub charge. Now shrimp coctel was to sweet to much ketchup, sorry but it’s bad so bad, the fact that all their staff are Mexican it’s a big different , I seen Nicaraguans cook and Cuban cooks cooking Mexican food better than Mexicans . Vine con mi esposo desde downtown porque nos recomendaron este lugar, vi en las fotos que hay espacio para sentarse afuera, así que pensé que no había ningún problema en traer a mi perro. Primero que todo, desde que llegué terrible servicio, estaban dos mujeres frente a mi que me vieron llegar y se hicieron las locas, la que se supone debe estar al frente estaba haciendo otra cosa y cuando se dio cuenta, ni siquiera se acercó a preguntarme que necesitaba, desde donde estaba me preguntó cuántas sillas, le dije que éramos dos pero queríamos sentarnos afuera porque estábamos con mi perro, me preguntó si era de servicio, le dije no, por eso nos queríamos sentar afuera, cosa que hacemos en todos los restaurantes y me dijo que no, que para sentarnos afuera debe ser de servicio, queeee???? (Jamás se me ha dicho que para sentarme afuera con mi mascota debe ser de servicio y viajamos con el en toda la florida) Entiendo que a algunas personas no le gusten los perros, pero no había absolutamente nadie afuera, así que todo mal, no les importa la atención al cliente y si tienen perros, aún peor.
