We ordered steak, two appetizers, wine, and two sides, and every dish exceeded my expectations—even as someone who’s very particular about food. The quality was truly on another level. One suggestion: it would be great to see some entertainment on Saturday nights, like jazz evenings or weekend events, to add a bit more atmosphere. Still, it’s an ideal spot for a date night if you’re looking for privacy and a more intimate setting without big crowds. Highly recommend!

Shocked this place isn’t more popular. My gf and I went on a Thursday evening. Food was phenomenal, had the tuna tacos; the beef tartare the creamed corn the parker loaf the wagyu flight, the fries were the best I’ve had in a long time. Was also impressed with the service, at even the best miami restaurants food wise the service is usually not great. The decor was very nice, old timey steakhouse vibes but with a contemporary twist. Just would really suggest people check it out.

We went to Lafayette last night for dinner and it was one of the best experiences ever in Miami, since the moment we walked into the restaurant there were a beautiful lady wearing a long red dress looking like a queen!!! The decoration of beautiful, the drinks excellent and the food was absolutely delicious, everything was perfect, been to a lot of restaurants in the city but this so far is my #1 in Miami. The server Noemi was amazing she was great and very friendly, always make sure we were ok!! The live music was beautiful and give at nice vibes, classic, chic, beautiful!! I went to Lafayette yesterday for my anniversary and it was excellent experience. The people were nice and attentive the food omg I can't say enough good things about the food. Let's talk about the food. We had the crab cake and grilled octopus for appetizer delicious. I preferred the crab cake it was not dough forward but full of crab well seasoned fresh just great. For meal my husband hand the Branzino and it was so flavorful and flaky it is a must try!!!! I had the boneless ribeye I don't need to say more.. it was good. For sides we had mashed potato and the creamed corn. I wasn't sure about the cream corn but our fabulous waitress suggested we try it and I am glad we did. It sweet and savory I was concerned that it would be to sweet but it had the right balance and complimented the meal perfectly. The cocktails were great as well I had the dancing queen which I loved. We also met the GM very nice lady spoke to us for a bit. Overall it was a great experience, the food isn't cheap but if we do have to spend money at a restaurant I appreciate when the price matches the experience that is a value add. The staff were on it they were like a pit crew, I didn't need to ask for water refill, the swapped out the dishes and silverware like well oiled machine I've never had such an experience. I've said enough go and see for yourself!.

First time at La Fayette and service was Impeccable. I was served by Harry at the bar and he was nothing short of amazing. He recommended the “Stand by me” which was an amazing cocktail, never had anything like it. I then ordered the “Be my baby” which was my personal favorite, the glass wear, presentation, and the actual cocktail itself was amazing. I Ordered the Lafayette cheeseburger and it was one of the best cheeseburgers I’ve ever had. The French fries on the side were even amazing, it didn’t even need to be paired with any sauces. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a steakhouse in Miami!

We had an amazing experience at Lafayette. Its entrance is a bit hidden, but any GPS will take you there. First, the decoration of the place is nice, offering an upscale yet cozy vibe. Second, service was really good. Third, the food was a bit on the expensive side - but it delivered. For starter, we had the octopus. Then, we had the tortelloni (pasta filled with wagyu short rib) and the garganelli (pasta with black truffle). The first was a bit too al dente for our tast, but the short rib was amazing. The pasta with truffle tasted great, especially the truffle themselves. For dessert, we had the dulcey chocolate popcorn sensation, and it was sensational. Last but not least, they had a pianist playing live there, and the guy was phenomenal. Really brought some great energy to everyone's dinner experience.

For our main courses, we ordered the filet mignon and the bronzino. The bronzino was cooked to perfection—light, flaky, and simply melted in the mouth. The filet mignon was tender with a delightful light crust; it was truly on another level—Chef’s kiss! We also tried the macaroni and cheese, which was excellent, adding to our overall enjoyment. Both my wife and I found our experience to be beyond our expectations. I highly recommend Lafayette Steak House, even if you're on a budget. The happy hour offers fantastic value, allowing you to enjoy a great meal with equally great drinks. Five stars!

1st time at Lafayette last night. Celebrated my birthday & I was absolutely fully celebrated. At 1st glance the opulent ambience with the European tasteful flair, the music selection was harmonious & not loud. The cocktails, wine & food … every course & we had every course, was incredibly delish!! Lastly, the service was impeccable. Saja - host, Guy - bartender/mixologist, Paul - wine enthusiast, Luis - table side Caesar experience, Osvaldo & last but not least, Liza - our host. Staff appearance were professional and consistent. They went above and beyond and were all knowledgeable in their expertise. I have to say undoubtedly, this is my favorite steakhouse in South Florida. Fine dining with fantastic flavors, flair, finesse & fun. Will definitely be my go to restaurant. Thanks again Lafayette.

My husband and I went to Lafayette to celebrate our 18th wedding anniversary. Kelly was our server and was absolutely amazing! She made really great recommendations and was super sweet. The Tomahawk steak was really good! A must try for all couples to enjoy. We also had the Whiskey ice cream which was a nice end to our meal. I highly recommend everyone to come here. The vibe is chill and the music sparked my late 80's early 90s nostalgia. You won't regret it!

First time here. Went for the Miami spice and so grateful for our server Gustavo recommending specialty drinks and suggesting the tomahawk for only$30 more we got a whole different experience. We really enjoyed the food, drinks, and the unique vibe in this restaurant. Truly memorable and happy we got Gustavo as a server. Also the server assistant Marc was on point. I had an absolutely incredible experience at Lafayette in Brickell! We were celebrating a very special occasion, and what was supposed to be just a great dinner turned into an unforgettable night, all thanks to the OUTSTANDING service from our waiter Gustavo, the manager Paul and the entire team. Gustavo was simply amazing! So attentive, kind, and charismatic, with an incredible sense of how to make a moment feel truly special. His drink recommendations were spot on, we loved every single one! And the sweetest surprise of the night: they took a Polaroid photo of us to remember the evening. Our Server Kelly was awesome, and had great recommendations for my wife and I first time here. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary, and the experience was awesome. The food and the 90's music, and lounge low light type of restaurant makes it excellent for date night and other celebrations. You gotta try the whiskey Ice cream, it is phenomenal. Definitely will come back again A+++

Una experiencia inolvidable en Lafayette Miami! Fui con mi novia y pasamos una noche increíble. Desde que entramos, el lugar nos deslumbró! me sentí como Tony Montana!!!! El ambiente es espectacular, elegante pero cálido, con un show en vivo de una cantante y un pianista que aportaron un toque mágico sin opacar la conversación. Los cócteles, exquisitos. El servicio, impecable y muy cercano. La comida, simplemente deliciosa: empezamos con un pulpo con burrata que estaba estupendo, y un pescado crudo con una salsa que nos sorprendió. Luego, el wagyu con bone marrow fue espectacular, los tortelloni estaban increíbles, y el filet mignon con foie gras… una locura. Nos ayudaron a elegir un vino que combinó perfectamente con la carne, y aunque esta vez comimos tanto que no llegamos al postre, volveremos sin duda para probarlos! Mi novia es francesa y ambos coincidimos en que fue una de las mejores experiencias gastronómicas que hemos tenido. Estamos de vacaciones en Miami y felices de conocer un tal lugar! Gracias a todo el equipo por su atención al detalle, su hospitalidad y por crear un lugar tan hermoso. Bravo!

Lugar muy acogedor y elegante. Ideal para un date con esa persona especial. Su decoración y ambientación son muy buenas, el hilo musical y el piano de cola en vivo, hacen que sea algo refinado y clásico. La comida excelente. Probé los Fettuccine & Caviar, algo de locos, deben probarlos. El Ribeye y el Tomahowk muy sabrosos también, carne de primera. Entre los postres que pobre, el Cookie con helado y el Cheescake se llevaron los honores. El servicio y la atención muy buenos, muy agradables todos. Solo me pareció un poco lento, pero el ambiente es tan agradable, que ese detalle pasa desapercibido.

Had a lovely dinner at Lafayette and was genuinely impressed with most of what we tried. The standout dish for me was the sea bass perfectly cooked, tender, and flavorful. It was paired with carrots in a curry dressing, which was surprisingly well-balanced and added a great depth to the plate. A really well-executed combo. The shrimp cocktail was also a hit super fresh and served with a creamy avocado mousse that added a nice twist to a classic dish. Elegant and satisfying. Only miss of the evening was the sorbet extremely sour to the point it overwhelmed rather than refreshed. I could’ve done without it. Service was attentive, and the atmosphere is elegant without being stuffy. Overall, a great experience with a couple of memorable highlights. Would definitely return!

Lafayette offers a refreshing change from its predecessor, El Tucan, in the same location. I recently dined here with friends and we were all impressed by the standout decor, service, and wine program. The restaurant exudes class with its stunning lighting and tasteful decor. However, it was surprising to find no live entertainment on a Saturday night. It appears that live music is scheduled only on weekdays, which seems an unusual choice for a new dining concept. The service at Lafayette may be the most attentive in Miami. The waitstaff and runners demonstrated exceptional training and professionalism. Our expectations for the food were high, but the results were mixed. We ordered a variety of dishes including steak tartare, crab cake, Caesar salad, fries, corn, broccolini, ribeye, and filet steak. While the seasoning on the steaks was excellent, the meat itself was tougher than expected and carried a slight grass-fed taste, which isn't to everyone's liking. I will try the veal chop on my next visit. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the wine program, curated by the excellent sommelier, Higor Valle. We were fortunate to have him guide us through a beautifully paired wine journey during our meal. The cocktails from the bar were also spot on. In conclusion, Lafayette is a welcome new addition to the Brickell dining scene. The exceptional service and wine expertise make it a worthwhile experience compared to some of the other steakhouses in the area.

The food was delicious, the atmosphere was lovely, and the service was good overall. It was very busy for Valentine’s Day, so the slight delays and some confusion with the plates were understandable. My only disappointment was the four-course preset menu requiring us to share one dessert, which wasn’t clearly communicated. I asked about it but never received a follow-up. It was a small detail, but on a special occasion, it mattered, especially since the dessert was delicious.

I hate leaving a bad review, but we had high hope’s for Lafayette. We went here on Friday night for a date night. The atmosphere was great, the service was amazing, however the food was not as expected. The steak tasted very bland and the food overall was not great! Maybe it’s because it’s. New restaurant, but we spend $500 and the food was not worth it. Hopefully they will get better in the future.

This New Year’s Eve event hosted by Lafayette was probably the worst experience I have ever done in my six years in Miami. I have lived in Brickell for six years and done many restaurants for major events with prefix menus. And none have made me this upset ever to the point where I am writing this review. When booking to dine, I was under the impression that there was going to be a prefix menu, which is not a problem as most restaurants here have a prefix menu on major holidays. However, I reserved a table for four with the understanding that each person would be able to order their own meal selections from the prefix menu as it was $155 per person. Once we arrived and were seated, we then were told that the food would come out family style. With that being said we received one piece of each Of very small 1st entree/ appetizer each during the first course and we all had to split the second and third entree. This means four women had to split a 10 to 15 ounce steak and one lobster tail. With two small mashed potatoes and two plates of veggies (carrots). the dessert options actually ended up being the only thing that served all four people and most of us do not eat desserts so that ended up being a waste. I say this to say with a bill of $1000 I was highly disappointed in the options and selections during New Year’s Eve. Everyone had to leave and get more food right after this as we still left very very hungry. It just was a major disappointment and honestly has me at a point where I have decided to never go here again for New Year’s Eve or any prefix menu event. I hope you guys do better next year as this definitely was not worth it.
