This place was recommended by a local and he was absolutely correct that I would enjoy the food. We were greeted as soon as we stepped over the threshold and the hospitality didn't end until we left. The food was served hot and the service and excellent. A must stop if in Miami.
So happy I had the chance to stop by! The waitress was incredibly kind and attentive, and the food was fresh, flavorful, and high quality. Honestly, this is the best meal I’ve had since moving to Miami. I’ll definitely be back, consider this your sign to try them out!
Man 10/10 everything including the service was great. If you want some good southern soul food this is the one spot you have to check out in overtime Miami. Music was a bop too!!!!
So great! We loved the bbq ribs and sides! Also the peach cobbler was AMAZING. Saving this place for next time! 💗
I was a part of a party of 10, and although there was only one server for us and the rest of the other tables, the young woman serving us all was very polite, quick, and accommodating. The restaurant is small, but nicely appointed within its limited space. I did notice lighted outdoor seating, but since it was midday in June in Miami, eating outside was not an option for us. 😀 The food was delicious and well-presented. I ordered two appetizers: the conch fritters and the rib tips. Each was cooked to perfection and flavorful. The cook was not stingy with the conch, and the rib tips were tender and generously sauced. If you're in the downtown/Overtown area, you must visit this hidden gem.
When I say I'm looking for southern black food THIS IS WHAT THE STANDARD IS! This black owned business exceeded my expectations. The service was top tier even with one server! She was not only knowledgeable about the specials but also very attentive. This spot is a hidden gem that we are happy we stumbled upon here in Miami! Lastly to top it off the ambiance was warm and the vibes gave in my grandma's kitchen. Will be back before I leave because just YES YES YES. Protect this black business by any means.
Went here for a leadership brunch and sat outside on the patio. The food is delicious and flavorful. I loved the service as well. Very accommodating to your requests. If you are looking for some soul food, this is the spot. The salmon was great and the fries, but there’s much more to the menu since I happened to be on a more restricted diet. Lots to choose from. Definitely worth a try. Inside is also cozy. Good vibes here!
I dined here in several occasions. The service has always been great. I dined here with my family from New York. They loved it. This time I ordered the Spring Rolls and Dreamfire Shrimp Dinner. To drink I had a flop. For dessert I had the peach cobbler. The Spring rolls had the best crunch to them. The flop was good, it was a different style then I was use to.
I had a wonderful time here. The food was amazing! From the moment I walked in, everyone was friendly, the atmosphere was nice and the food was delicious. I enjoyed a performance while I was dining and sang along to some of my favorite songs. Ms Tessie Porter thank you for singing happy birthday to my mom. You’re a fantastic singer and have a great voice! If you’re looking for good food and a great time, I 10 /10 would recommend Lil Greenhouse grill. 🙂
Will was our server. He gave us excellent service! He brought us everything we needed. There were 5 of us in our party and everyone loved their meal. Reasonably priced for the quality of the food! Delicious!
Definitely will try them again. The collard greens and the shrimp salad was amazing. The mac and cheese was good. I like how the chicken had grilled onions all over it to give it that flavor! The burnt ends were kinda tough. Cornbread was too crumbly but still good.
Great service from the owner there. Delicious meal and would definitely got back.
Food was good and hot. Get the rib tips! Good flavor nice sauce. Sweet but not too sweet. I enjoyed the crab style cake but my friend did not. Peach sangria was good! I felt a little buzz which I never do with sangria. I also had the yams, smoked wings, collards, and Mac n cheese. All were great, Mac could have used a little more salt but that’s personal preference. The waiter was seating people, waiting tables, and bussing the tables! He was good at it but he sure could have used some help. Also happy hour sign was posted and apparently it has been suspended so something to be made aware of. Good experience would return. Black owned.
A true diamond in the ruff! Florida cuisine is bland and unimaginative! This restaurant is amazing and very much needed! Old fashioned smoked (daily) meats! Opening up a second location soon as well. The collar greens are a must try! Can't wait to come back!
This place is a gem, the food was delicious the lemon pepper wings was just the right amount of tartness and savory it was seasoned to perfection. the shrimp was crispy and flavorful I had the dream fire sauce on the side and loved it I’m not sure you’ll find a sauce like that anywhere else it’s sweet tangy with a burst of umami, comparable to the Thai chilli sauce but even better. The greens were perfect not overly seasoned and the Mac was super cheesy. Last but not least the peach cobbler, this was probably the best peach cobbler I’d ever had, it wasn’t super sweet the cinnamon and sugar crumbles almost melt in the mouth along with the peaches this dish was an emulsion of decadent flavor. Lastly the staff is sweet and attentive, the owner especially, it’s a small space and it feels very cozy trust me you won’t regret adding this restaurant to your list.
Absolutely awesome spot from start to finish. Service is like a loving family member is hosting you. Happy hour had delicious peach sangria. Rib tips appy is delicious. Barbecue sauce so good, I'd drink it. Southern comfort food. Great portions and attention to detail. Collard greens were the best I've had....they had a rich brothy taste that was amazing. There was a chicken strips and fries for kids that wasn't on the menu, but the hostess offered to my seven year old (he loved it). We left stuffed, satisfied and took home leftovers. Pic is of my oldest devouring the ribs. Definitely worth the visit.
My only regret is that we didn’t find this place sooner!!! Food is amazing!! Drinks on point!!! Ambiance was laid back and chill.. Jas was a great hostess.. thank you for showing us a great time! We definitely will be back to Miami and our first stop will be here!! No pic of the seafood balls they were devoured.
The food was really yummy. Great ribs and sides. And the staff were very welcoming and attentive
The food and atmosphere were incredible. I had a great time singing, dancing, and enjoying the small crowd there on an early Friday evening. I had the Grilled Salmon with Mac n cheese, cornbread and collards which were all very flavorful. The cornbread was soft and sweet, the collards had a slight spice and were yummy, the macaroni was creamy and tasteful, and the Salmon had a nice char to it. The only thing I did not enjoy was the Peach Cobbler. It was not good.
A Hidden Gem with Soul and Flavor! Lil Greenhouse Grill in Overtown is an absolute treasure! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm, friendly service that made me feel right at home. The atmosphere is cozy, vibrant, and filled with the rich cultural energy of the neighborhood. But the real star here is the food—simply phenomenal. I had the BBQ rib tips and collard greens, and every bite was bursting with flavor. You can taste the love and soul in every dish. The ingredients are fresh, the portions are generous, and everything is seasoned to perfection. Even the sides like the mac and cheese and cornbread are worth writing home about. What makes this place even more special is its connection to the community and its commitment to quality. It’s not just a restaurant—it’s an experience that feeds your spirit as much as your appetite. Highly recommend Lil Greenhouse Grill to anyone visiting Miami or looking for a soulful, authentic dining experience. I’ll definitely be back!
Found this place on our way to Virginia key. Very good food and awesome service. We tried the conch fries and rib-tips whichh were really good! Would surely visit again!
If you are looking for a REAL Soul Food restaurant in Miami this is 100% the place to go hands down. I had crab cakes which were phenomenal! Absolutely perfect. My husband had ribs and didn't leave a crumb. The corn bread tasted like cake. The service, music, and entire atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for in a soul food restaurant. Not to mention great prices.Thank you Shania for amazing service and to the owner who greeted us and told us goodbye.
I really love this place and the flavor they get into all their dishes. Their chicken wings could go pound for pound with anywhere in Miami (get the dream fire sauce, trust me) the half chicken is delightful, grilled shrimps cooked to perfection. Sides are great, and I particularly love the Mac and cheese and collard greens. Only thing we haven’t tried at this point is brunch, and we’ll get there for brunch soon enough!
Just a week ago me and my wife saw a review On YouTube about this restaurant!!!!!!!Yesterday we took a drive to see if the food lived up to the hype!!!!! food exceeded expectations!!!!!Everything That we ordered was delicious. The service was A-1!!!!!!This is the best food experience I’ve had since I moved to Florida!!!!!!!! I encourage everyone to support this gem !!!!!!!! Can’t wait until my next visit to Miami!!!!!!!
Even though it's not a new joint and it's been open for a while, just the fact that it was there all along and I didn't even know and found it was exciting. One of my colleagues mentioned it and didn't think much of it because it was at same location where this really nasty Chinese restaurant used to be. However these new owners did something amazing with this lil place, no pun intended. When you walk in it has a very warm feel to it, very dimmed lighting and music selection to make you feel all warm and cozy. The staff is very attentive and helpful from the moment you step in till you walk out the door. Now there were a lot of items on the menu that I had in mind, like chicken and waffles, the Mac and cheese etc but when I got there they had the Chicken and Shrimp Stir Fry lunch special and it sounded really good. Well it didn't just sound good but it was delicious so that was a good choice. Fresh veggies stir fried with a generous portion of chicken breast and shrimp over a bed of rice with two pieces of garlic toast on the side. Ingredients tasted fresh, and the dish was very well seasoned and flavorful. They were not stingy with the shrimp and the chicken breast at all, got way more than I excepted. This place just became one of my favorite stops and this was just off of the first impression and delicious meal I had. Like I said before, they're give excellent service and you can tell the owner and staff take pride in everything they do, from the kitchen to the service and overall feel of this little hidden gem. Will be coming back soon for more.
Me & my friend had a great time & dinner at Lil Greenhouse Grill. The food is delicious & the portions were plentiful. I loved the cozy atmosphere & the music is great. The co-owner & the waitresses are sweethearts. I will most definitely visit again when I am visiting Miami.
The food was absolutely amazing! I had the black bean burger, and my husband had the ribs with mac and cheese and the collard greens. Shaniya is a wonderful waitress, she even gave us those little hand wipes when we done eating. We were embarrassed because we came in an hour before closing, and surprisingly they didn't seem to mind at all!
This spot was everything and then some me and the crew enjoyed ourselves very much the food was delicious that cornbread was 🔥🔥 them greens juicy and so full of flavor service was great our waiter was on point it was our first time but definitely not our last time for anyone looking for some great soul food this the spot you need to get to
First time trying Lil Greenhouse Grill, I ordered it through Uber, and we tried the seafood cakes, smoked sweet teriyaki wings and the half chicken with baked beans and yellow rice. I thought the seafood cakes were ok, the wings were good and the bbq chicken was very good. I thought the corn bread i received was too dry but tasted ok. Although I probably will try them out again!! 😊
Wow! Wow! Wow! The menu is small yet we were torn on what to get because it all sounded soooooo good! We decided on the rib tips & the seafood cake meal. Did not disappoint!! The sauces were great and the Mac and cheese sides were on point. We will absolutely be back for brunch!! The ambiance was great, the music had us swaying while we ate and we left with a big smile. Thanks for a great experience!!
Lil Greenhouse Grill is a jem in the Historic Overtown area of Miami. The food is soulfood with a twist of upscale. They open at 11a.m., to a crowd waiting to come in to be seated, meet the waitress, and place an order. The space is cozy, subtle lighting and music. My waitress was warm, friendly, and very attentive. If you don't see something not on the menu please ask as they try to accomodate. My food was great and since leaving, I've found the restaurant needs to be flooded THIS WEEK with customers, donations, etc,, to raise around $15,000, which new landlords have requested be paid, or they will be forced to close. So please trust me on the food and head on over and enjoy. Thank you
Everything was delicious. We had the black bean burger, fried chicken special, cornbread, greens, yams and Mac. Everything was seasoned to perfection. The fries were crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. I appreciate that there wasn’t any meat in the greens. The yams were spectacular!!!! Will be back! Loved that it was Black owned!!!
Cannot say enough about this grill. I had business at Baskin Palmer and decided to check this play out. I have been lured in to "soul food" restaurants before in Miami only to be disappointed. Not here. The food, the service, and the vibe were all 100% on point. The food is soul food adjacent but taken to another level. The ribs--omg, the ribs. The baked Mac-n-cheese. Just go.
Server was attentive and kind. From Missouri so have both St. Louis and KC for Bbq and also aint too far from Memphis so believe me when I say that these ribs were some of the best outside the midwest I have ever had. Absolutely did they big one with everything will return anytime I come back to the 305
Hands DOWN THE BEST SOUL FOOD IVE HAD IN A WHILE… 20/10..!I ordered the bbq half chicken, yellow rice, Mac n cheese and yams to dine in and then ordered grilled chicken, greens and yams to go. My tab was 52.00… I tipped 40.00! My server was excellent! She was very knowledgeable about the menu and her recommendations didn’t disappoint. The owner was very welcoming and social. I love the southern grandma atmosphere! Back to the chicken, the BBQ sauce was tangy sweet and smoky!! I would put it on an arm and suck it to the bone! No lie, no exaggeration!!! Baked Mac n cheese is better than your grandma!! Yams are velvety and smooth! Rice are little grains of sunshine especially with the bbq sauce. Must try!!! They took me at 7:30 when they were closing at 8:00pm! Don’t leave Miami without trying this place!
Very down south feel, excellent soul food. I had the fish cake burger He consisted of crab and shrimp with garlic oil. Lettuce and tomatoes was excellent. My wife got the savory wings which are also very good. Yams Black eyed peas all really good. Highly recommended and we were there during happy hour and they had some entertainment a fabulous female singer. Highly recommended. Very enjoyable
This little gem was awesome find. The host/server has the best hospitality. She was friendly and very helpful. I forgot to take a picture because I started digging in. I had the smoked wing dinner with collards and mac and cheese. 10/10 would definitely recommend!!
We searched for a special place to celebrate a birthday and happy to have found this gem. The neighborhood is transitioning and this little gem fits perfectly. We went mid week for a late lunch so we had very personalized service. The tib tips are perfect and I had a spoon of the best mac n cheese ever (if not for the gluten intolerance, I would have had it all) thanks, lil' greenhouse grill 😋♡
I seen Shilo Sanders YouTube video My Aquarius Brother! Although I haven't ate here just yet I'm coming for My Birthday 🎈 And by seeing all that food Shiloh tried OMGGG I might be running some red lights to get there driving from JACKSONVILLE FL...... CAN'T WAIT🙌🏾
Where do I start? I was just coming back from a cruise and was looking for a black-owned soul food restaurant and found this place. What a gem! It felt like home..: the service was excellent, the food was great, and the atmosphere was a vibe. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner while I was there she’s so sweet, kind, and inspiring. She was doing an interview, I overheard her story, and it made me feel like I could do anything…. literally tearing up because of how proud I am of her. Anyway, this place is amazing and I can’t wait to come back.
My husband & I came into Miami from DC to celebrate our 12 yr wedding anniversary & I found this amazing spot! The food & service were phenomenal! Our server Ky (I believe that was her name) was so welcoming, charismatic, extremely knowledgeable of the menu & gave us excellent recommendations. We had the Rib Tips, Fried Salmon Bites, the Seafood Cakes, Firecracker Shrimp, & I did the Fried Snapper as my main course. We met the owner also & she was a complete doll! & Met the chef also. The way she greeted her staff was beautiful! She spoke to them like a big family. You can tell theres alot of love & respect in that establishment. The vibes & everything was perfect. Not to mention, it's located in Historic Overtown. Do yourself a favor, whether you're visiting or a resident. PLEASE check this spot out.
I would like to staff for making Sista's That Rock, black history luncheon so enjoyable. The inside maybe small but it's perfect for small or intimate gatherings. Thank you all again. So sorry I'm not able upload the pictures.
The food and service was amazing! Highly recommend it if you're looking for soul food, prices are reasonable and everything we ordered was well seasoned and delicious. We tried a lot of sides too, no complaints.
Went for dinner while in town and was not disappointed. I ordered the barbecue rib tips ($13) as an appetizer which was delicious and definitely would’ve been perfect to split with someone. For my main course I had the seafood cakes ($21) which came with two sides. I chose baked mac & cheese and collard greens. It also came with a side of cornbread. The seafood cakes were a mixture of smoked salmon, shrimp, and crab (might have been imitation crab). Everything tasted great and portions felt just right. The service was really nice as well and though they were close the closing time I didn’t feel rushed at all to finish my meal. I was able to find free parking right out front as well which was nice, but I don’t know if that’s always the case in this area.
This was a celebration day for my girlfriend's success in work and life, her mother, and three nephews, and myself. The grilled snapper was terrific. The serivce was excellent. The smoked lemon pepper chicken wings were great. My BBQ Chicken, black peas, corn bread, and collard green were fantastic.
We were in the Coco-nut Grove area before our Cruise the next day. After an early morning flight and all that goes with it, we wanted some good ole southern comfort food and we found just that at Lil Greenhouse Grill. Our waitress (sorry I forgot her name) she was wonderful! I was hesitant to order the seafood cakes but decided to do so and let me tell you something…they were DELICIOUS!! Unfortunately, my tired and hungry self didn’t snap a pic but my stomach was quite satisfied. I also ordered the Collard greens and candied yams. I drank the pot licker a cup of tea!!! The greens and yams went well with the seafood cakes like Thanksgiving dinner. My hubby had the ribs, greens, and black eye peas…he loved his food as well. The atmosphere was welcoming like being in someone’s home. I felt comfortable being in the midst of Overtown, it was where we were supposed to be and I will go there again and again whenever I’m in Miami.
This place is a hidden gem! Music and ambience was a vibe. Service, impeccable. Our server Will gave us amazing recommendations and made sure we had everything we needed the whole time. We had peach sangrias, crab cakes, conch fritters, chicken & waffles and the rib tips; everything was a ✨10/10✨ Super satisfying experience.
All I can say is, whoa. The conch fritters were so good, I forgot to take pics. The seafood cakes were delightful and perfectly cooked. We had the yams and mashed potatoes as our sides - oh my goodness. This definitely feels like a family-run establishment, and you can taste the care put into every dish. Service was fantastic. While the conch fritters were truly the star of the show, everything was amazing!
Food made with love and care!!!!! And the service is always 100% we came on November 12 and the server who helped us was so welcoming and every single little detail she was already on it! If you’re vegeterian like me the black bean burger is amazing! A 10/10 full experience, come to this little gem you won’t regret it!
Wonderful customer service with planning my daughter's high school graduation party. Food was extremely scrumptious and seasoned..specially the greens were a crowd favorite. Corn bread...all gone. If you are looking for traditional soul food for date night or catering. Lil Greenhouse is your spot!
It was by chance I stumbled into this little gem. (I took a wrong turn/route). I'm a believer things happen for a reason. It was like they had almost all of my favorite foods on 1 menu. Seafood, smoked wings, and soul food sides. I was so full, I didn't leave room for dessert (I was going to get the peach cobbler). I normally try to get pics of the menu and food, but I forgot to get 1 of the menu. Meals average $20-$30
Saniya served out table of 4. She was warm, friendly and made excellent suggestions to us first-timers. Better soul food than I’ve had in Harlem. I will definitely be back.
The food is SO GOOD !!! The restaurant is clean and we got to meet the owner She is super sweet!!!! Please eat here this restaurant is Top tier!!! BLACK OWNED!!! I ordered the chicken, Mac and greens w/ corn bread omg it was GOOD… The drinks are good to we was a party of 4 and when we got there a couple was eating and I couldn’t wait to get my food I almost asked for a piece of chicken from the customers lol I even ordered what they had as well. My friend had the crab cakes and she ate Everything even the crumbs🤣🤣🥰 I even took some cornbread home… You will be satisfied and the prices are awesome as well…The food is a lot you can even take some home for later. I will be back for sure thank y’all for having the best food in the area FOR SURE… 😊😊😊😊 Returning customers 🥰🥰 if you don’t believe me look at the pics I posted it looks good and taste great the chicken was so tender…. Lord have mercy you will wanna kiss the chefs trust me I’m a family chef.☺️
I am from out of town and found them on Groupon they are nothing short of amazing!!! We came Sunday so it was only brunch being served. We got fried lobster tail, chicken and waffles, French toast, and a peach sangrita. The food tasted soooo good !!! All of it !! It was a little wait because all the seats were taken but it was worth it. Our waitress a young lady was very nice and attentive. They had a live DJ and was playing some good music. I loved everything thank you so much ! Would totally recommend Goo
Im so glad this establishment was brought to my attention after attending an event. Lil greenhouse Grill was everything I expected plus more. The music and vibes are great. Its also super cozy. Our waitress, sadly forgot her name, she was great, knew everything on the menu and made great recommendations. This is my new brunch spot.
My friend & I wanted to go to a black-owned restaurant in honor of Black History Month. It was my turn to pick the restaurant. I looked at the menu from the Lil Greenhouse Grill and I wanted to check it out. I noticed you may need reservations, but we went on Saturday, Feb. 15th. around 5 p.m. When we got there you could smell the good cooking coming up to the door. You don't get that very often. Will our server seated us. To look around it looks like someone's home. Giving you a comfy feeling. It was small and intimate. I wanted the 1/2 BBQ Chicken, but it was sold out. I saw the last one go to another table I see why it was sold out. Make mental note come back try again. Will our server, suggested I get the smoked wings. I got the garlic parmesan with a side order of mac n' cheese & collard greens and a flip-flop. My friend got the BBQ Ribs with cabbage and mac n' cheese. They had the tv on it felt like we were in the living room. When the food came WOW!!!!! Grandma is cooking in the kitchen! it was dee-lic-ous! We even ordered food to take home. I got the chick n' waffles & my friend got chicken dinner. The prices are affordable for nowadays. My friend got a Lil Greenhouse Grill T-shirt. I'll wait for the latest Lil Greenhouse T-shirt with the city name at the bottom. Overtown showing the location & the spirit of the community. The owner said they'll be available in the summer time. I will be back long before that. I forgot to order the peach cobbler or sweet potato pie but I will next time. If you want some down home soul food; Lil Greenhouse Grill is the place for you.
Great atmosphere, superb service & the food perfectly crafted. Loved the music alternative r&b which made me feel like I was playing my very own Pandora station. The waitress suggested the restaurant favorites purchased the most by customers. The seafood cakes were crispy on the outside & was filled with seafood it comes with an aioli sauce with a mango salsa on the side. Highly recommend this restaurant.
I love the whole vibe of this spot. The drinks, food and music was on point. I actually found this restaurant on tik tok. I recommend going here and I really return on my next vacation from here on out. The wings were very delicious you have to try those, I recommend them. Customer service was excellent, the best I’ve had in a long time.
Fantastic customer service and amazing cuisine. My friend and I were in Miami and heard about Lil Greenhouse prior to our trip. Anytime I travel, I patronize several black-owned businesses and was so glad that I stopped by this one. We arrived several minutes after they opened on a Saturday and was immediately greeted by the owner, Nicole. She was so sweet and shared with us the specials and her personal favorites. There are so many good options on the menu. My friend went with the surf and turf, which was a special that day, and I opted for the seafood sandwich. The food came out in a timely manner and tasted so fresh! We had plenty of leftovers that we enjoyed beach side later that day. Highly recommend. #ratedhaute
How did I not know about this place?! If I could 10 stars I would!! It’s the PERFECT spot!!! As a native Miamiam, I love seeing a small biz like this kill it!!! The perfect reprieve from dealing with rush hour traffic, this gem is the home cooked soul food you need after dealing with 5 min of road rage and then giving up on the drive home 😂 from their happy hour specials to their gracious, filling potions, to the location, to the service!! Literally telling my friends I have to take them here soon! Don’t sleep on Lil Greenhouse! Kudos to the chef and staff!
flavorful homie meal! I got the fried salmon meal and my friend got a fried salmon salad. Everything was delicious and filled me up. Live music was being played and and friendly customer service. I really like the cornbread. This was my first time trying fried salmon. It didn’t disappoint.
We had the loveliest of experiences at this establishment. We called in to order and redeem a Groupon. Shania provided exceptional service on the phone and once again when we arrived at the location. We met Nicole, the owner, a simply beautiful woman with an amazing personality. We also met Chef Kareem. His food was delicious to the last bite!!! Quaint, cozy location with a beautiful outdoor patio open now. We ordered takeout but stayed to watch in. Excellent prices and large portions. We are excited to return!
This small place has a big heart to give. A friend invited me before our Alvin Ailey performance. We were observing the support small local businesses in the area demonstration. The food and the service are outstanding. I wanted everything on the menu, but didn’t have time to enjoy it. From 530 to 8 they have live vocalist. I’ve been desperate to find something like this in Miami for years. Go and support this place so they can grow and add more staff so that they can give you the outstanding service with this wonderful ambience and music and atmosphere along with a great owner who really cares about her establishment.
Just recently moved here to Miami and being originally from Memphis I sometimes crave more of southern comfort food. Liked the atmosphere and food most of all. Can’t wait to bring family here when they come in town.
My first time here while in Miami and the food was absolutely delicious 😋 I had mango habanero wings , collard greens, Mac & cheese, sweet potatoes , cornbread and raspberry tea mixed with lemonade. I highly recommend anyone to come here. The owner was very hospitable along with her employees. Super sweet people, lovely environment and good music.
The food was bomb and the service was even better. If you’re in the Miami area don’t skip this. The seafood cakes were bomb. My son said it was the best grilled chicken he ever had (😏🤣). I brought home three pieces of cake that we couldn’t skip but couldn’t eat there because we’re so full.
I had an amazing experience at Lil Green House! The food was absolutely delicious — every bite was full of flavor and made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. From the appetizers to the main courses, everything exceeded my expectations. The staff provided impeccable service, friendly and attentive from start to finish. I felt truly welcomed and well taken care of. This is definitely a place I’ll be coming back to again and again. Highly recommend!
I grew up in the South and this place hit home for me - it was the ultimate comfort food! Everything I tried was deliciously amazing - the flavor profiles and presentation were on point and I look forward to trying more. Great service, great food, great price. 1000% will be back!! P.S. If they ask you to try the sock-it-to-me cake, just say yes 😊
Lugar sencillo pero extraordinario y místico La comida exquisita,la dueña un poema!
Muy buena música y servicio ! La comida fue excelente...
Una experiencia unica
The good: The service.. the waiter was definitely attentive. The bad: Personally, I don't like how the salmon dish wasn't plated with the sides. The review: The food was savory, and I liked the atmosphere. I would definitely go back.
The food was delicious and the customer service was even better. We visited from out of state. I’m so glad we got the opportunity to enjoy this warm, homey little spot.
Drea and Nicole had great energy and were very welcoming. Although the restaurant is small, the feng shui and overall vibe were amazing. The food was decent; however, despite the restaurant being nearly empty, it took about 10 minutes to be seated and close to 50 minutes to receive our food after ordering. The wait time definitely impacted the experience.
Came in to a welcoming environment and overall good service (we were the only customers in there at 11:30 on a Friday). We started with the seafood cakes which are pretty decent. We ordered the smoked ribs with mac and yams and the smoked wings with black eye peas and greens. The smoked ribs were a bit tough. Bbq on it decent though. The smoked wings were also overcooked and tough. As for the sides. Black eye peas were okay. Mac was tasteless, greens weren’t seasoned and I couldn’t even take a second bite of the yams. I can’t even fully explain what happened with those sides. The cornbread was my favorite thing. Only thing we finished. Maybe a bad day?
First time in Miami and we came across this community restaurant that had AMAZING reviews so we decided to try it. We walked in and must say the customer service was the BEST, even the young gentleman who came from the back was very customer service oriented. So we were excited for the food, we just knew it was going to be good. Especially knowing the collard greens and cabbage are cooked with turkey and not pork that was a A++++++ for us because we don't eat pork. I ordered the smoked bbq wing dinner with mac nd cheese, greens, cornbread, and a side salad.... The wings were great but everything else was NOT good at all, the greens weren't seasoned and mushy (cooked to long)didn't taste the smoked turkey at all, the mac and cheese was burnt on top and cheese curdled not cheesy at all and dry, the salad had mushy soft tomatoes and the cornbread and lemon cake was also dry. My spouse ordered the grilled chicken dinner with side salad and mashed potatoes... The chicken was overcooked and sitting on a bed of lettuce which we didn't understand, the mashed potatoes weren't seasoned and again the cornbread dry. Needless to say it was a waste of about $60 dollars. We had high hopes for this restaurant. The first impression was a lasting one and we won't be back!
Food was not what I expected. Macaroni was overcooked (mushy)collard greens was not tasty which I returned for cabbage which was not any better. Seafood cake was not to my liking because of the imitation Seafood used. I would rather them charge more for the real thing. Shrimp was delicious. I will give them a second try at a different time of the day to see if they were just having an off day. Customer service was good.
They don't let the drivers use the restroom. They only had one table, and the food looked really bad. They need to learn about customer service. Thanks to the drivers, they can sell more delivery food; they should be grateful.
Horrible service this place cant accommodate big groups. Multiple mistakes. And on top of that there was no ac in one of hottest cities in the country I will never step foot in this place again you couldn't pay me to eat here. Waste of hard earned money!
