Very clean kitchen, tables, and restrooms. Friendly professional staff, samples were delicious making it hard for me and my wife to choose from the menu and their wide variety of Fresh Vegetables ultimately succumbing to a Shawarma 🥙 Pita and a always freshly cooked Chicken Shish kebab Pita of which we will order again next time we come, full of flavor through and through enjoying the clean full feeling once your done. Definitely coming back again 🙏

Very kid and pet friendly place. Staff is always working quick and very pleasant. The place has a lot of space to sit inside and some out in the back very quiet and lots of trees and shade. We always have chicken beef and falafel shawarma . They’re all delicious and their dressings are amazing. The hummus feels like you just made it at home fresh and delicious. Lots of flavor in this place. Definitely worth your money. Plenty of free parking, and inside a shopping center full of places you can go while you’re there.

I recently moved to Aventura and I wanted to grab a quick bite for lunch. I found pita plus pretty close to where I live and I decided to rey their shawarma in a pita. It was very good. Portion and price was very fair. I recommend this place and will definetly go back.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently had the pleasure of dining at Pita Plus, and I must say, I was blown away by their incredible grilled chicken pita sandwich! Let’s talk about the star of the show—the grilled chicken pita sandwich! The chicken was perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection, resulting in a tender and juicy bite that was bursting with flavor. The pita bread was soft and fresh, and it perfectly complemented the succulent chicken. The sandwich was also generously filled hummus, tehini, hariff, crisp lettuce, juicy tomatoes, and a delightful amba sauce that tied everything together beautifully. I can confidently say that this was one of the best pita sandwiches I've ever had, and I can't wait to return to Pita Plus to try more of their delicious offerings. If you're in the area and looking for a satisfying and flavorful meal, Pita Plus is a must-visit! Highly recommended!

New to the area. It has been hard finding very good Israeli food in south Florida. It’s not anymore. Look no further than Pita Plus. Food is delicious and blows out any competition in the area. Will be back with the family.

Besides Rachel (pronounced ,I think, RAJ-CA-EL) making me my own EXACT, CUSTOM Israeli Falafel PITA Sandwich, which was DELICIOUSLY Grrrrrreat, they have an Excellent Top Notch Staff. Place kept very clean and tidy. Wonderful Atmosphere. As an ole New Yorker, their Falafel tops even NYC!!! Hands up they are one of the best, extremely fresh ingredients. Even better than, Jordanian, Lebanese and Syrian Fafafels. Ty Rachel

My favorite place in South Florida I've been a number one fan of Pita Plus for years, don't mind the bad reviews, this is the place for Israeli-Mediterranean food, the best for me is the Shawarma, but everything is good, great falafel, chicken even lamb, prices are awesome too, service super fast, friendly servers....

I have been eating at this joint since 1990. Hands down BEST shawarma and falafel in Southeast Florida. Friendly service. Good value.

The best Israeli restaurant in town! Although it's a no frills restaurant, this place goes the extra mile to make sure you're happy with your meal. Everything is delicious, specially the pita sandwiches.

Had a falafel on laffa and my wife some sort of grilled vegetable, grilled chicken, roasted quinoa platter. Absolutely fantastic. The server/ manager (bald Israeli with tats) is really friendly and the owner chef is a doll. Price was extremely reasonable too. I would eat there every day.

Food and service both exceptional. Much better than a lot of kosher places that cost 50% more. Staff incredibly nice and friendly. This is our go to spot in Aventura, wish they had one in NJ/NYC.

A
Amber Lopo

The food was phenomenal. I am a vegetarian and had a a feast. I had a veggie plate with pita on the side. I had a variety of of veggie sides, each incredibly tasty especially with the pita bread. I had baklava for desert that was perfectly crispy, flaky, and both sweet and savory.

M

I am a Muslim and I went to a Jewish establishment. It goes to show you that the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is not about religion, it's political. Regardless, they serve kosher food which is a little pricier, but nonetheless, their food was good and I would return again.

B
Brad Arensberg

We visited the restaurant for the first time this evening. My son and I both experienced good service and the food was excellent quality. The business provides outstanding value. We will return again the next time we are in town.

In Miami there are many Israeli food joints, but NONE are as tasty and as hospitable as Pita Plus. I have been a long time customer of Pita Plus (over 15 years at least) and what keeps me coming back again and again, is the simple fact that the competition cannot compare to the quality of Pita Plus’ food. Quiet literally everything on the menu is rave worthy. The shawarma is juicy and spiced to perfection. The home made hummus is sold in convenient to go containers, and the falafel, my personal favorite, is always fried to perfection. I do not live anywhere near Pita Plus (I’m approximately 45mins to an hour away by car) but I often find myself making the trip all the way North SPECIFICALLY for Pita Plus. In all, you can expect authentic Israeli food served by kind, welcoming people. Highly, highly, highly recommend a visit.

This place was amazing! The lady at checkout was a bit of a sourpuss but other than that I really enjoyed all of the food and felt it was good quality and portions. We ordered chicken shawarma pita, grilled chicken pita, and hummus.

Best middle eastern food I have ever ate. I love this place. One of my favorites. The shawarma is amazing. I get it with everything and spicy. Delicious. They're service is amazing as well. Very friendly staff. The food, the staff, the atmosphere there, makes you feel like if you were actually in the middle east. This place is KOSHER!

Popular Israeli restaurant in the heart of Aventura. This is an order first (no table service) restaurant gets busy for lunch. They have all the hits, falafel, shawarma, etc both in pita or plate. As a first time customer I felt like I was supposed to know how this place works. I mean my food was sitting there all ready because I was supposed to have noticed it instead of being called. I now know for next time. I ordered a schnitzel pita with everything in it and it was very tasty. The prices seem ok. The place is large with lots of sitting options both indoors and outside.

A
Angela Yudice de Pineda

We tried the classic Wrap and Pita Shawarma. The wrap is specially big and good for two. It's fresh and the tahini garlic sauce is good. I'd recommend you choose your filler ingredients wisely, too many items will not let you properly taste things.

Y

Food and service was good. A bit overpriced but still worth going.

Food is good. Staff are friendly. Decor is utilitarian, not interesting. Wheelchair accessible but not friendly as the doors don't stay open without effort.

Order at the counter segment. Friendly service. Very well prepared food. Prices a little above par for their segment. But the larger than par portions kept them at 4 stars.

C

Pretty good Shawarma, Falafel sandwich is ok. Portions are generous. Your typical israeli counter service. Whomever wrote that they serve pork must be an antisemite! It's obviously not true. Prices are ok.

Good Israeli fast food. No diary product and kosher. Nothing fancy but everything is clean and the food is not bad.

Disregard the other posts. This is a kosher restaurant so no pork. Its a no frills Israeli style counter with lots of seating. Generous portions and tastes great. My only complaint is that you can't get salads AND rice and beans. Good location in the heart of aventura.

A
Andrew Cortez

Great food. It's very Kosher , so if that's a concern, you are covered. The staff are very nice. Prices are in line with portions and the area. The falafel pitas are especially tasty. The fries are good all the time, but somedays they are just great. Service is fast, and the place is very clean. It's worth a visit.

I was disappointed from the shawarma it was too oily and not as good as usual. The please is clean and very good service. The French fries was burned and tested bad . I don't think i would go anytime soon.

Great food, but prices vary. It can be about $10 to $13 to $15ish and I get the same food every time. No, I have never bought a drink there. Now noticing that for the past few visits, it went from me being a frequent customer happily going there to an occasional one to having my order bought by husband on my behalf. Disappointed in customer service; I had receipts to show my past visits. Otherwise, I loved the taste of the food.

J
Jack Wheeler

Was very disappointed have been coming here for years and always got big portions so was very surprised when ordered a falafel plate they only gave me 4 falafel balls. Even asked if that was the correct portion and they said yes. Won’t order that again but will come back for the Shwarma..

A
April Zaevi

A vegans dream! I got the falafel plate with all the salads except the ones containing mayonnaise.. The entire meal was amazing! Such authentic and delicious food. The falafel with garlicky and cooked to perfection, all of the salads were super fresh and full of flavor. I can’t wait to be back in the area again! UPDATE: Under new management and the food has completely changed.. I have been here many many times.. Went in Sunday 7/23 the food & atmosphere was different.. the food was just ok with that exception of the carrot salad (full of odd spices and not edible in our opinions).. my friends got shawarma pita and I got falafel plate it was $50 for those three.. I use to love this place because of all the delicious salads like the Turkish eggplant salad, chick pea & pepper salad & matbucha.. Now it’s kind of flat tasting , nothing special about it anymore it’s just like every other kosher restaurant you have ever visited. The family that use to own this place were extremely friendly and loved feeding people. We didn’t even get a hello when we walked in, while ordering or paying. The woman at the register acted like she was bothered. I hope it improves because I like supporting small owned Kosher businesses.

B
Ben Dennis

I’ve come here a dozen times, but I’m sad to say the quality has gone downhill. The shawarma was missing it’s flavorful zing and crispness while the person making the pita sloppily put together the jumble with apathetic haste resulting in a mess of a pita shown in the photo. One major issue I can’t understand is how they construct or layer their pitas. The meat/veg/sauce should be layered in such a way that each bite you get a bit of each element. Instead they stuff the veggies on the bottom, then pile on the meat, and dowse the whole thing with sauce on top. They also have an extremely limited menu and don’t have laffa bread which is always a preferred over pita.

L
Leilani Kapiolani

It used to be very good not anymore. If you want a shawarma in a pita they put it in a pita that's cold. Not friendly people

J
Jaime Barbosa

was a great place to go in the past . Today Shawarma was Dry and the $$ is higher just for the sandwich , not including Drink or Fries. There is a Fast food restaurant the offers a fair version of Pita Sandwich , at a much fair price... Basically what I am saying is felt like I was at a Fast Food Would not recommend

L
Leidi Martinez

My first visit.. was SO looking forward to it and what a disappointment. The falafels tasted very salty and "burnt" like.. that's because of the dirty fry oil. The stuffed grape leaves tasted like they came out of a jar. The service was very good but won't be returning.

I
Igor Albuquerque

The food wasn't good, the shawarma doesn't have taste. The place is clean, the food looks fresh but I really didn't like. Tastes nothing. I don't recommend eat there.

J
Jimi Kay

I'm not an attractive female, so I received terrible service. They didn't even heat up my pita (like they so kindly offered to the lovely ladies in front of me). Totally ignored. Cashier on cell phone talking to friend.. I'm never going back!!!

S
Scott Grover

The food was good, although expensive. To me $16 for a pita sandwich served by itself in a plastic basket is costly. However, it was the family staff that was off-putting. Definitely not 'people' oriented or interested. The older woman cashier is rude and is lucky she is family because nobody else would hire her. Looked at us like we had 3 heads when we asked for ice. It's 2023, Miami and you're a restaurant? As she enjoyed her coffee in a mug (I don't think they sell coffee)... But no ice... Swarms (6-7?) of unfriendly (to customers) family behind the counter, but they are unable to bring an order to a customer's table. Mind you, there was no other customers in the restaurant on this particular Sunday afternoon. I don't think I will be back and will be unable to recommend to my friends. :(

They lack the finesse of service while the food is considered ok some of the staff behind the counter have no respect toward their client in another word they are disrespectful and loyal customer have taken notice

Worst of all, the food arrived cold and not as fresh as it was impossible to eat it. I threw the food in a trash can and even in the order some of the side dishes you ordered were missing.

I used to be a frequent customer but unfortunately the items I purchased a few days ago were rancid and had to be thrown away the next morning. I live too far away to drive back and return it but the quality of the food has gone way down while the prices have gone up. Very disappointing.

I

It used to be very good. Now it tastes ok but $45 for 2 shawarma wraps (nothing else no drinks) is just ridiculous

E

Worst shawarma ever I Ordered a laffa with it It wasn't even a laffa it was a disgusting tortilla rap I've been to other Shawarma restaurants it was way better than this trash It didn't even come anything with it If there was 0 stars I would recommend it

Just went. Very rude employees who seem disinterested in being there. The food has always been mediocre to me, but the unfriendly personnel cements it—never returning. I highly encourage other to see middle eastern food elsewhere. In the area Kabobji, is much better all around. Someone in a previous review mentioned kid friendly—at least for me this was not the case. The food is over priced and poorly seasoned.

Review for Pita Plus: I recently had a disappointing experience at Pita Plus that left me extremely dissatisfied with their service and overall professionalism. On this particular occasion, I witnessed the staff giving food to the wrong person and witnessed them rudely snatching food out of someone's hand and giving it to another customer. This behavior was completely unacceptable and left a sour taste in my mouth. Aside from their rude customer interaction, I also found the overall sanitation of the restaurant to be concerning. The lack of cleanliness and attention to hygiene was evident, making me question the standards upheld by Pita Plus. As a customer, it is essential for me to feel comfortable and assured of the cleanliness of the establishment I dine in. Furthermore, one of the reasons I initially chose to dine at Pita Plus was because they claimed to be a kosher establishment. However, based on my experience, I highly doubt their adherence to kosher standards. The disrespect and unprofessional behavior displayed by the staff do not align with the values one would expect from a kosher-certified establishment. Overall, my encounter at Pita Plus left me disappointed and dissatisfied. I cannot recommend it to others due to their rude and unsanitary practices. The lack of professionalism and failure to uphold their claimed kosher standards were major letdowns. I hope they take these concerns into consideration and make the necessary improvements to provide a better experience for their customers in the future.

Andrew Kuster

It’s always gross when you walk into a restaurant and both employees behind the counter, have their hands all over their dirty telephones and roll their eyes at you..,, in response to the owners question ….there’s no way I would ever eat anything from there after seeing the lackadaisical and unsanitary way the employees performed their job and their poor attitude …so I have no opinion about the food. I didn’t want to get sick.

T
Tristan Pineda

This place could’ve been a five star, probably the most bland food I have ever had. The food seems fresh, but absolutely bland. I even asked for extra tzatziki sauce, and somehow it was still bland. How do you drown a gyro in sauce and still have no taste?

C
Claudia Garcia

The service is not so great like the one in Sheridan Blvd. The gentleman that serves our food was not friendly nor asked what we wanted on the pita, he just put whatever he wanted it. He didn’t give us eggplant, I have to ask him for the cabbage and pickles salad because they don’t have the salad station outside like the one in Broward .

L
Lorena Sosa

The food is good, but the staff wears their masks improperly and prepare sandwiches with their bare hands instead of using gloves. This unsanitary practice may not bother some people, but in the middle of a pandemic, it’s a cause for concern. I’ve been a customer for years, but I’m done asking the staff to be mindful when preparing my food.

F
FABIO TARANTINO

Staff with an attitude when they see you’re not jew… got two orders of falafels to go and they were flavorless, burnt and tasted just of rancid oil. I’ve spent 14 dollars for a such a poor dish worthing few pennies. Toilets are dirty and you come out smelling of fried oil. Never again in such a s…. hole !

A
Alyssa Ortiz

Hello I was really looking forward to this place! To begin with the service here can use some work the workers are bit disrespectful and have attitudes. Also the food was under seasoned and didn’t have enough flavor

V
Vasilios Liakos

Very disappointed, I ordered fries and I almost cancelled my order when I was told it is $5:43 for the amount of less than a potato, in addition I don’t think they ever change the oil from the fryer, god only knows what else is cooking in there. I ended throwing the fríes in the garbage. I got sick and was throwing up for 2 days . Never again will I spend my money there. Don’t waist your money and time to go there. Shame on you to charge so much money and not provide a good service. Is it possible to give this one half a star? 🤬🤬🤬

M
Madison Parker

No words can express how disgusting this place was. Went for lunch with my wife and we shared a sharwarma plate. The meat was gross it was all super dry and had a nasty aftertaste to it. All the salads were disgusting as well. These guys are better accountants than they are at running a restaurant. Sky high prices and terrible food. Also, everyone who worked there looked miserable! I can not wait for Hummus Achla Hallandale to re-open. Their food is so much better than Pita Plus! Save your hard earned money as you will be disappointed.

D
Dylan Thompson

I was ordering food for me and my wife while she sat and fed our baby, a woman approached my wife and told her to sit outside in 90 degree June weather because his baby food was not kosher. She would not allow her to remain inside. We’re not Jewish and didn’t know we would need to bring Jewish baby food to be allowed to eat there. We didn’t even get to finish our order, extremely rude. Will not return or recommend.
