Went here for Valentine’s Day dinner. Glad we made reservations, but we were still seated at our table over 30 minutes after the reservation. Our waiter seemed overwhelmed in the beginning and was very abrasive, but ended up warming up throughout dinner. Didn’t hold it against him as our food came out correct and it was good. Ordered baked oysters, cocktails, steak and fish. The red velvet cake for dessert. It was a nice experience and the food was delicious.
I enjoyed every minute of the brunch buffet. The kale salad, the rigatoni, the croissant breakfast sandwich, the watermelon salad were top notch. The servers were impeccable. Not one second that my glass was empty. Bottomless mimosas non-stop and they were very attentive. The ambiance was delightful. Will definitely come back
I don't think there is a restaurant in the Prime group that I haven't enjoyed. Now I can add this one to the list. I don't eat seafood but there was an adequate amount of other offerings. My husband enjoyed his seafood lasagna and lobster bisque. Both were ample and loaded with seafood. Took us a long time to get our drinks; our waiter said the bar was backed up...I still think 40 minutes was a bit much but nonetheless we enjoyed our food and drinks (when we got them). The burger was so juicy and flavorful, it could've been a steak! And in true Prime fashion, we ended dinner with the delicious fried oreo's.
The wait is over! This the best restaurant out of the big pink, prime 112 and prime Italian. I'm begging you to get the black grouper imperial. It seriously change my bad day into a good day. The grouper Sliders are perfect for you and someone else, to much for one person. I know I'm greedy, lol. The watermelon 🍉 Martini is sweet enough to enjoy for a lifetime. And the Chocolate Peanut Butter Cheesecake is a slice of the perfect life. The service was second to none. I love every minute I was here. One of my favorites 😍
We loved this place. Super attentive staff, very delicious food. We loved every single thing we ordered which was the octopus, lobster with truffle Mac and cheese (it’s huge!!! - we were 2 big eaters and we couldn’t finish it so beware), and the chocolate pudding s’mores. Everything was out of this world.
This is by far the best restaurant in Miami. Managed to get a table early around New Years Eve. Staff is incredible. Very knowledgeable about the menu. Portions are huge. The food was amazing. It is very pricey but will not disappoint. Great place for a romantic evening.
The best seafood we have ever had!!! Loved the Octopus appetizer! I am not a fan of truffle and caviar but my husband enjoyed the deviled eggs. The fish entrée was fantastic!!! Definitely worth your money 💰
It's not often one is caught off guard by a restaurant! Well, Prime Fish was a beautiful surprise. The atmosphere was beautiful and welcoming. The food and drinks lacked for nothing. Ariana our mixologist was awesome! Our server was extremely knowledgeable and hospitable... nothing more you can ask for.
Best spot to eat fresh fish and seafood in Miami Beach. They have a huge wine list. Service was amazing, Carly was our server, very attentive and great photographer lol we order margaritas with Miso Marinated Sea Bass and the Alaskan Halibut… sooo delicious!!
Fantastic place for well executed seafood in Miami. We visit Miami relatively often and always visit Prime Fish when we will like to enjoy seafood. The steaks are also amazing in the event everyone in your party isn't into seafood.
Great service and the food as incredible. It is on the pricey side but it is well worth it. The stuffed Maine lobster was the best. The Steak was cooked to perfection. My kids loved the Oreo's and ice cream.
Our experience at Prime Fish was phenomenal. Starting with our server, Daniel who was so knowledgeable about the menu and an expert at suggesting menu items that you would enjoy. On top of this, he was so sweet and great to get to know throughout the evening! We chose our dishes based on what he suggested and we couldn’t have been happier with our choices. Everything was just spectacular. I had the blackened Branzino topped with the bernaise sauce and crab meat ,and the grilled vegetables. It was the most delicious combination because the fish was light with amazing seasoning but then the bernaise sauce with the rich and creaminess really brought the dish together. The grilled vegetables were a great compliment to the fish because they paired nicely and didn’t take any focus away from the main dish. My fiancée, had the lobster lasagna and he was floored by how delicious it was . Very rich and creamy but enough that you don’t feel too overwhelmed. It was an amazing dinner date overall and we’ll definitely be returning to try some other items on the menu!
I absolutely love this place!! They have the BEST ceviche. It is so amazing and delicious that I had to come back to Miami just to have it again. Their Brussels Sprouts side dish is outstanding. And lastly but certainly not least their filet mignon and rib eye steak is incredible!!! I highly recommend this place if you’re ever in Miami.
Great food. Start off with baked oysters. The bread was freshly made initially with almost like a tunafish salad to start. That was on the house. Then we had chili and Seabass as well as salmon. We also had octopus. All the sides are excellent. The dessert was fried Oreos with strawberry ice cream.
Great restaurant. All portions are very large and satisfying. The burger deal is just amazing - for $25 you get two big beef patties, cheddar cheese, farm egg and maple bacon, with a way-more-than-you-can-possibly-eat side of amazing friea. The other fish dishes were also good (although I can't report them first hand). The service is amazing and the atmosphere is very pleasant. Very recommended!
The brunch menu was great! $25 unlimited mimosas. We went with a large group, so each of us tried different plates but not a single person complained. I recommend the steak & eggs or also the Nutella pancakes! 🤓 we ordered the dipped key lime pie for dessert, really yummy if you like dark chocolate. 🍫 our waiter was really kind.
Absolutely one of our favorite restaurants to visit when we come to town. Last night did not disappoint…The fried red snapper and the king crab lasagna are our favorite dishes! Thank you Daniel for your superb service. You are absolutely our favorite server!!!
Excellent! There's so much variety and everything is delicious. I went with a large party and we ordered so many different things so I've tasted about 2/3 of the entire menu (appetizers, seafood entrees, and desserts). Every single thing was amazing. My favorite items were probably the truffle lobster deviled eggs, the truffle mac and cheese, and the Chilean sea bass. But really you can't go wrong with anything. The staff was great as well. Very professional and attentive.
I went to Prime Fish for the first time on my girlfriend's birthday. Everything was amazing from start to finish. Our server, Francisco, provided exceptional service and truly made the evening special. His attention to detail and knowledge of the menu was superb. Initially, we had some difficulty identifying what dishes we wanted to order. However, after listening to Francisco's thorough explanation of each dish and his suggestions we were immediately able to reach a decision. The decision paid off, our fish was cooked to perfection and our side of truffle fries couldn't have been better. We will definitely visit Prime Fish again in the future and specifically ask for Francisco. What a wonderful experience!
Everything about my brunch was A1 top notch. Friendly attentive service and a layout of geat gourmet food and drinks. Very impressive. It's on the high end so it should be but I really enjoyed it.
We came here for dinner on our 1st night in Miami. The service was great & the food was amazing. We had a bottle of wine & 4 main dishes of seafood & steak. The restaurant has a great ambience but is very expensive .
Wonderful! So cozy, quiet and romantic... The best salmon ive ever tried! Bravo, dear chef! And our server Richard was fantastic! Fabulous! Thank you for making our last evening in Miami so memorable. Will def be back.
One of my favorite places in Miami Beach! Definitely recommend! I’ve Been here countless times and will be back. If you’re looking for fine dining but not too fancy with the romantic atmosphere you should try it out. Incredible seafood, wine selection, meat. Alaskian crab lasagna is mind blowing! As well as crispy calamari. The only thing i would love them to have is better cocktail selection and better performance. Service is good but you don’t expect less from the place like this.
Needless to say, the food was exquisite. Underpriced at best. Was set up to be let down by my initial experience being looked at and completely ignored by the hostess while she continued her conversation with a member of the waitstaff for a full three minutes (which seems like forever when you walk up to the host station and standing) not even a smile, a nod, or acknowledgement of any kind. As I decided to dine elsewhere, the hostess finally attended to me. From there it was all uphill. Byron offered such exemplary service that my experience with the hostess was moot. Excellent service. Excellent food. What more could you want?
Best seafood I've had in years. Dishes were excellent - you can tell alot of pride goes into there menu, ingredient selection, and presentation. Superb and professional staff. Ambiance was fantastic. Enjoyed our visit - giving high praise to our knowledgeable and hospitable server, Vito. He was so gracious and on top of every dish/ course.
Beautiful outdoor seating, almost felt like I was in a different country. Our waiter Kevin was amiable and helpful! The sea bass, grouper and tuna cruda was delicious. Would definitely recommend.
Prime Fish is the best! Don’t hesitate a trip there. It is a must visit for us (sometimes twice in a trip) each time we go to Miami. The food and service are both top notch. The patio is also really great and has a nice huge tree in the middle of it. Special shout out to Carla, our server last night. She is the best of the best and ensured we had a perfect experience.
Fish was so fresh and food was amazing. Highly recommended trying the grilled octopus! We shared all our dishes and enjoyed every last bite. Nice vibe inside and the service was top notch. We will be back again next time we are in Miami.
We were looking for a place with good tasting food and fast service, so we can enjoy the city. The service was excellent and the food was amazing. The West Coast Oysters were delicious and the drinks were perfect. I had a Sea Bass. It came with flavorful dressing and veggies. Everything was put together so well. The fish was incredibly tender. We had an awesome time experience.
What a special place - the food and service at Prime Fish is top notch. The tuna, black grouper imperial, and sea bass are some of the best entrees we've ever had. Make sure to try the char-grilled octopus as a starter - incredible. Hugo our server was delightful! So kind, energetic, knowledgable - really went above and beyond to make our experience great. Thank you Prime Fish!
We had a lovely dinner here early on a Saturday night. The mahi dip is incredible. The tuna poke was spectacular. My filet was perfectly cooked. My husband’s grouper was excellent. I could have dined on just the baked potato alone. Kevin was an awesome server and we look forward to a future return. I didn’t even remember to take any photos the food was so good.
Being new to Miami this is only our second time eating here. I thought it was time to leave a well deserved review. The food here is simply excellent. We love the restaurant's atmosphere--you can sit inside and still be close to the outdoor breeze and environment, or sit outside and take it all in. Our waiter was Daniel--he was simply the best--very professional, personable and recommended some nice items for us to try out. Between us, we had the watermelon salad (completely refreshing), sea bass, salmon, calamari, baked potato, and the heavenly chocolate dipped key lime pie (recommended by our waiter). We will become regulars here.
Everything was lovely. My Son and I took my wife to brunch for her bday. We’re a huge brunch family and we’ve been bunching all up and down this panhandle for a few years now and Prime is PRIME!!! In fact we’ve decide to put Prime on our 1x month rotation!!! Great Spot! Everyone nice and polite. Bathrooms clean.
Our family of 11 loved our dinner here. While expensive, they served the best food we had in South Beach. Each salad, meal and drink was excellent and all raved. Dessert cakes are large and fine but the bread pudding shined. Blackened bronzino is highly recommended. Tuna was also a hit
Talk about an excellent restaurant experience, feel like I got super lucky when a colleague brought me here for dinner. So good, I hosted a dinner for a client and his family two nights later. I think I was here a few years ago when another colleague suggested dinner here. Spectacular food. Attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly staff. The group I hosted is from the area, but had never eaten here. Needless to say, they were impressed and vowed to return. Five stars. Thanks Prime Fish!
Overall my experience was amazing. " now here is my random rambling to add to the review , this place is amazing I'm just trying to reach my next review badge"""'"" . The food was relatively amazing... All so Cool People . Amazing people that work there. Service was outstanding. Considering opening umbrellas indoors was the more surprising of the shows. The rainstorm wash the windows as usual... the beverages was cold. The ice eventually turned into water. The water turns into ice. The chicken with cooked medium rare. The steak was slaughtered by professionals. The tree attraction was all the hype the story was amazing. The beers were cold the wine was hot. Jokers on the reviews.
Excellent food and service. We went for Miami Spice and found the quality of the food TOP NOTCH. However, even though we notified the waiter that we wanted separate bills at the beginning, before even ordering (3 bills, 6 people), and he said ok, when we asked for the bills at the end of the meal we were told that these separate bills were not possible. This was disappointing and a hassle, as one person had to calculate the amount for each couple. This was time consuming and left a sour taste on everyone. If this was not allowed, we should've been told from the very beginning.
First time dining here. The fantastic service started as we walked through the door. The waiter we had, Jonathan, was great. We could not have been treated any better. We started off with the oysters and grilled octopus which was excellent. I had the Chilean seabass. It melted in your mouth. The ambience was fantastic. Prime Fish will be a definite stop the next time we are in town.
Excellent food! Was late, 9:15(45 min until curfew), all restaurants were not taking any more customers. We were hungry, long day, forgot to make reservations and they took us in happily and friendly! Food was excellent, we got the fish sliders and beef sliders! Yum! Wait staff was excellent as well! We will be back next time we are in Miami!
Food was great. Got wayyyy too much. I got the nori bigeye tuna. She got the grouper. Got mac and cheese and elotes to share. Side dish portions are wild. We have >50% of each left. The piece of grouper she got way huge. And topped with an even bigger piece of what ended up being a crab cake bound with something like Hollandaise (billed as a horseradish sauce). Service was great. Drinks were great. Will come back next time we're in South Beach.
This particular review is for the weekend brunch , although I have been to prime fish for dinner and it was also just as fantastic. There is a very wide variety of food that includes sushi, a carving station with different meats, pasta, chicken and waffles, salads and a huge dessert section. There is also the option to order an entree off the menu but there was so much food I didn't at this particular visit. In addition to the unlimited food choices there is unlimited mimosas, prosecco, bloody Mary's and Bellinis. The waiters are all very attentive and fill the glass just as it is getting low. I definitely will be back for brunch again the price is reasonable for the huge amount that is offered.
Service and people watching are what you go here for. Waitresses we're on point. The lobster and caviar deviled eggs are divine. The grouper sliders were average but big for portion size. The sticky bun bread pudding is just well like a sticky bun but in the shape of a square. It's more like a loaf than bread pudding. The sauce that accompanies it is very sweet but good.
Came here for our six year anniversary, Natalie and Wilder executed the experience with such diligence and grace. Natalie did not make me feel like I was bothering her, she was so friendly and gave recommendations when asked. That’s how service should always be! Thank you Natalie and Wilder for a great evening and experience at your restaurant.
Appetizers where are fresh and tasty had the fish Dip and Crab legs , main dish Blackened Grouper and Grill Branzino 100% on point. Sides are big and Delicious it can be share with 3-4. As well the deserts. Red velvet and Pineapple upside down this last one my fav !!!! Thanks Prime Steak we spend a great time.
Was here several months ago. It was a rough start as we were seated at the table by the entrance with one umbrella while the hot sun was blaring on 3/4 of the table. I reserved 2 weeks in advance for a party of 10 and specifically requested to be seated at the shaded part of their courtyard. I requested about 3 times to be moved and after 30 minutes, management finally decided to move us to an unoccupied shaded table. We were very grateful but blocking a table for late or no-show guests should automatically be offered to a group that arrived on time. The food offerings, however, were excellent. For around $50, you get unlimited buffet and mimosas plus a choice of one a la carte. I selected the Branzino "Almondine" and it was fresh and cooked perfectly. My friend got the Popover but it was a little dry. The buffet selections were extensive. An array of Salads, Chicken and Waffles, Nutella French Toast, Truffle Mac, Breakfast Enchilada and Lasagna, Benedicts, Apple Sausage, Seafood Fritters, Wings, Carving Station and more. They were also not stingy with the mimosas. The servers made sure all glasses were always full. This brunch was definitely a good deal. No wonder they're packed on Sundays so be sure to reserve way in advance for large groups. One of the servers told us that they do have brunch on Saturdays as well and it's not as busy.
Nice spot for cool restaurant under a huge tree ! Vine selection looks like pretty good. But we were very hungry right from the flight . Lobster omlet was interesting and enough and eggs with veggies helped too. We got here in very noisy crowded part of restaurant . But didnt care already.
Outstanding service, amazing ambiance along with a classic American (with some french) seafood and steak menu. The food however for the 100$ish per person price tag was a little disappointing although nothing to scoff but just not the representation of what a hundred dollars a head can get you in many other places. The quality of ingredients was good but the cook on the seafood wasn't perfect though and the seasoning was nothing special.
This is my second time here and I thought I had reviewed it but here it is. 4 Stars all around for their weekend buffet. We were celebrating my wife's birthday and we reserved a table for 8 outside. The courtyards is beautiful and you sit under the shade of a huge oak tree. When we went, there were many parrots on the tree and unfortunately, doing what birds do best: pooping. This was a little gross so the server was able to move us to the inside. Maybe they can figure out something and put a cover over the yard. Anyways, that's nature and it is not the restaurant's fault. I tell you, the service in this place is definitely 5 stars worthy. The food was great and there was not one item I tasted I dislike. My only grudge and hence the 4 stars instead of five: Fish? Seafood? None! The buffet has maybe a couple of sushi rolls and some salmon dishes, but that's it. No shrimp (even peel and eat), no crab legs, no oysters. I'll happily pay a higher price if they included these items. So this isn't a deal breaker for me though and I highly recommend this brunch.
Beautiful restaurant with excellent service. My husband and I were seated immediately on Saturday night at 9pm with no reservation. I had grouper, he had a burger and we enjoyed a side of truffle Mac and cheese. I also opted for a watermelon martini which reminds you of a water melon jolly rancher. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive. This is a cozy and romantic spot perfect for date night.
Our waiter Kevin was excellent when me and my wife dined here on 7-12-18. It was our first time eating at Prime Fish. The interior is a bit different from Prime 112 with the same great service and food. I ordered the Red Snapper Yellowtail which was a special off the menu dish. It was amazing it was fried and served with sauteed onions, red potatoes and cauliflower. The chefs took the spin out so you don't have to worry about too much bones. ($55 not a bad price for this huge fish) It was a huge Yellowtail depending on your appetite you can share it with someone. The Lobster Truffle Mac & Cheese is a must.
The food was great, our server was VERY nice and accommodating, but dear god why does it sound like a cafeteria in there? Prime 112 has the same problem. Silverware was being flung by the servers and busboys, we were sitting right by the kitchen, and the entire room echod of everyone's conversations versus the music. I just expected a lot more from a resstaurant of this caliber. Highly recommend: miso sea bass Pass on the: broccoli casserole side. It was VERY heavy
We were there for brunch on a Saturday early afternoon. There were plenty of stations. Loved the Eggs Benedict, Egg Foo Yung, bacon, potatoes. Mimosas were so so, have had much better. The desserts were just ok. Get the cheese cake with chocolate in it. Lots of goid available. Great service. Tough to find parking.
Mac and cheese was the best I've tasted. Service is good. The waiters seem like they review recite their lines ahead of time though. Doesn't really seem genuine when you're asked how your meal is. Outside seating is uncomfortable. My snapper was about 25 bucks. I expected for it to be whole. Not a filet slab. It was super fresh, but could have used more seasoning. We probably will be back but to maybe grab a seat inside.
I held off reviewing this place because of my family who come here. But our family diner was a disaster. The worst was the big lobster we ordered for 245 dollars, came out uncrack, cooked not as asked or explained wrong filling..it . was returned. It came out 2nd time just about after everyone one else was done, but they turned it into rubber and like chewing Jerky The filling of crab and scallops was mostly bread. Had to ask for serving spoons, water, the waitress was not helped by her back up staff. Definitely not worth the cost of diner. On top of that 25 bucks to valet park when we spend North of a grand. They should apologize. I was embarrassed for my kids and sister.
Overpriced is an understatement. The $65 Tuna Poke was actually gross. The waiters always push it because of the price and they have to move the fish, don’t get scammed. Other than that, Overall the food is good. Big portions, great desserts (for $25+ they better be good) to sum it up, if you get a nice table outside and are willing to spend an extra $100 more than other restaurants just for an upscale ambience then you won’t be disappointed. As a local, there just isn’t any value. We use to come once a month but ever since they raised their prices 25% we come once a year.
If you want to spend over $100 per person on a meal that is the dining equivalent of Red Lobster then this is the place for you. Don’t get me wrong, we tried many items on the menu and they were very tasty. However the quality of ingredients and overall taste did NOT even come close to “similar” restaurants in the same area. Your dining experience would be better elsewhere. Apologies for the honest but critical review.
Very pricey. Service and atmosphere was good. Bronzino fish and chips was huge but could have accomplished better results with less. Also had twin lobster tail with 8 oz fillet mignon. Lobster was over cooked and dry. Steak was delicious. Roasted garlic was cold like they pulled it out of the fridge and slapped it on the plate. Jalapeno cilantro margarita was great but moscow mule I think was missing the ginger beer. For a almost $400 dinner for 2 with tip I would have expected much better.
Wayyy over priced for such mediocre meal. When a restaurant with such prices messes up basic dishes the really need to rethink their cooking. Lobster bisque was very starchy, the lobster chunks undercooked. French fries were cut in a messy way. The fish was as plain as it gets, tuna wasn’t fresh at all. Service was way rushed. In conclusion: avoid at all costs.
A place that is called like a „fish-expert“ should know how to serve a perfectly prepared fish. The halibut was super dry-couldn’t eat it-and when they apologised for that and got me a new one I knew the price is not worth it: same quality, dry and nearly tasteless. Service okay but not good at all. They let me know that they would not have charged the first dry fish! Excuse me, but this is the minimum I had expected. I couldn’t even eat it! It should not be charged at all! Sorry to say but got much better fish for half the price right next to a casual cosy place that is not famous for its fish dishes. Wouldn’t go there again.
Abysmal. From start to finish, Prime fish was a disappointment. It began with a seating in a dingy, dim-lit corner of the restaurant. From there, we were served a complimentary “basket” of greasy over salted bread in a cast iron pan with saltine (!!) crackers. Fish dip was somewhat redeeming. A classic theme of low-quality restaurants is to offer complimentary salted bread to improve the alcohol and drink margins. Prime Fish decided to go this way. It's my understanding that restaurants that offer wagyu are required to show a certificate upon request. The menu offers A5 wagyu, and yet when I asked to see the certificate the waitress refused. I will be reporting this potential false advertising to the FTC. The waiter prattled off the “specials” menu (no doubt the leftovers from the last night) for almost 2 minutes while we politely tried to show we weren’t interested. It wasn’t successful. Service was weak. Additionally, I was frequently bumped by the servers who filled water and delivered dishes, and water dropped from the ceiling onto the table and my lap. It's sad that a supposed high quality restaurant doesn't have the seating area figured out. Really sad that I'm sitting there indoors trying to eat and I'm getting rained on. Ordered the “lump” crab cake that had a crusty exterior and a gray meat. The grilled grouper was crusted! Wow! It had an amazing crunchy burnt exterior. I didn’t know grilled food has a black edge but now I’m educated. Ultimately we spent $400 for six people after a 20% tip and had an experience worse than Chick-fil-a.
Prime Fish - A Deceptive Experience I recently dined at Prime Fish and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. From the moment we walked in, we were met with judgmental stares from the host and wait staff, making us feel like obvious tourists. However, the real disappointment came when our waiter misled us with false information and provided us with a subpar dining experience. Upon perusing the menu, the waiter suggested the 1.5 lb stuffed lobster, only to later mention a 4.5 lb option. When I inquired about the price, he stated that the 4.5 lb lobster would cost $225.00. Realizing it was excessive for two people, I promptly declined and opted for the 1.5 lb stuffed lobster. I reiterated my choice, emphasizing the smaller size. Little did I know that this would be the beginning of a deceptive encounter. To our surprise, the waiter brought us a platter filled with an overwhelming amount of food. The taste was lackluster, with the dominant flavors being seafood, bread crumbs, and butter. It seemed as though the dish was a hodgepodge of leftover ingredients, hastily mixed with bread crumbs, drowned in butter, and stuffed into a lobster shell. Disappointingly, there was a meager amount of actual lobster meat, instead consisting mostly of chopped up shrimp, squid, and scallop pieces. Adding insult to injury, we discovered shells in almost every bite, further diminishing the overall dining experience. When the bill arrived, we were shocked to find that we had been charged for the 4.5 lb stuffed lobster instead of the 1.5 lb option we had initially agreed upon. To make matters worse, the waiter denied ever mentioning the existence of a 1.5 lb lobster, leaving us feeling deceived and cheated. This deceptive behavior from the waiter, combined with the underwhelming taste and presentation of the dish, left a sour taste in our mouths. It is disheartening to experience such unscrupulous practices in a supposedly reputable establishment. I would caution future diners to be wary of the misleading tactics employed by the staff at Prime Fish. It is unfortunate that an establishment with potential fails to deliver an honest and enjoyable dining experience.
Probably one of the worst service I’ve ever experienced. The hostess Stephanie was just plain rude and nasty. We had a reservation and when I called the restaurant to give them an Eta; the hostess not only laughed at me but she pretty much hung up on me as well. The restaurant was overcrowded and understaffed. It took our server so long to come to our table and take our orders. The only saving grace was that the food was delicious; however, I was definitely expecting better service especially for the prices.
