I went to this location for lunch because I was doing a side gig. There is presently no entry to buy over the counter. You must use the drive-thru. The food was hot and good. I tried their new chocolate dessert oh, it was okay. I hope that the desert would have strawberries and cream and other items to select from. By the way, staff was very quick and diligent when it came to the drive-thru.

One of the best Popeyes I went!! I always order 8 or 12 family chicken. This store serves one of the most tender and juicy chicken that I’ve had. The service here is top levels among all Popeyes I’ve been to. For example, they gave me a lot of napkins when I asked for more I believe that they saw my kids. But usually other Popeyes only give me 2-3 more.

On thanksgiving day the lady’s on shift are amazing . The orders are hot and fresh even tho they are really busy there was one cashier for a moment and she still serviced everyone with a bright smile hats off to those lady’s

I don’t usually do this but Maria and the staff at store #11636 in Middletown, NY at 8:11PM. Was exceptional. I had a large order and they did not miss a thing. Maria even went herself to the fridge to get me ranch sauce for my girlfriend. Because she was pleasant she offered me a deal to add 2 apple pies, and of course I did! Her hospitality was top tie, you’d think I was in a restaurant. I ordered 3 pcs original chicken combo, 5pcs tender box only, popcorn shrimp combo with Mac and cheese, 6pcs ghost pepper wings and a chilled mango lemonade! Love me some Popeyes !

I ordered here from doordash, had a hard time finding the option I wanted and called here and they actually are so kind, listen, and make sure your food comes correct. Very thankful for this location and will be ordering from here much in the future.

The spicy chicken wasn't very spicy, but it was still crispy and good. The red beans and rice were hot and tasty. I would have preferred a little more beans, but that is my preference.

I ranked this location based on experience on this visit. Food was fresh, wait time 27 minutes, and the place could be cleaner. Made this stop, for the kids after a long drive. However, the staff was great, especially the manager that kept checking on us.

Quiet place, good food. They lost a star because the oil is clearly not being changed enough, or they fry the sweets with the fries and chicken. Fries definitely tasted similar to the apple pie. Otherwise, everything was very good.

These days it can be difficult just to get assistance from a store employee. That's why when I receive good service from a kind, helpful employee, I feel the need to give props. The lady at the counter of this Popeyes understands the meaning of hospitality better than most mangers at so called 5 star establishments. She is polite, helpful, person that gets it. In and out in less than ten minutes. Chicken was fresh and crispy, sides were warm and not dried out. Parking lot is a little rough, but no potholes.

So I have mixed feelings about my visit here. I walked in with my children and wanted to place an order and I was informed that they will not take an order in person, and that I could only place an order online or go through drive thru (which was a mile long) I was forced to place my order online (in the lobby mind you) and I was unable to take advantage of a special promotion that was offered in the store that was unavailable online, which was disappointing. Once we got out food, it was very tasty and my kids were happy with their meals as well. I would return despite the silly ordering process.

All Popeyes can be hit or miss. This one lately has been hitting right! Friendly clean service. I complimented the staff and managers on their efficiency and respectful tone w each other. As i was leaving i heard who i presumed was the manager start off her words to staff how proud she was. I can't say much about the food as it was for a family member. The chicken was cooked fresh, which made the wait a bit longer than expected, but I appreciated them doing that for me. The dining room seemed clean, and the employees were friendly. If I ate Popeyes, I'd come back.

Food is delicious. Chicken is nice and juicy...but when buying in big amounts, they sometimes take extra long to hand out the food. Once they had me waiting 27 minutes outside for just 2 boxes of chicken with sides. And you would think they would give you something extra for the time taken but no.

Ended up at the Popeyes in Times Square one night after walking around for hours. Look, the place has a certain vibe to it and it's not winning any cleanliness awards, but honestly that's part of the experience. The staff was friendly and helpful which made up for a lot. We grabbed two chicken sandwiches and a large fries. The sandwiches hit the spot. Only small thing is I wish there was some lettuce in there and the pickles were a bit soft for my taste. I like them with more crunch. Fries were solid though. Out of all the fast food chicken spots we've tried this one still comes out on top for us. Not something I'd eat every day but when that fried chicken craving hits this place delivers. Worth the chaos of Times Square.

Mobile orders still must stand in line to order rather than drive up to the pickup window to get order. Ordered spicy but didn't get it, or the spicy has been lowered in intensity. Food came out hot.

Sandwich was ok, but the place needs to be cleaned....seeing 🍗 chicken and fries on the floor and people kicking under the stand instead of picking it up is nasty. The order screen is broken, and management needs to focus on making sure they have the food they are known for in stock. Chicken tenders and fountain soda were not available. You sell chicken how can you be out of chicken at lunch time??? I will not go back

Chicken is always fresh but the staff. Horrible customer service. The coke machine needed changing. I almost broke my neck slipping on some oily substance that was on the floor. Never mind that the place was empty on top of that. There's just no customer service anymore. I had to ask for a replacement drink for the one that I dropped because I slipped on whatever was on the floor. No one asked if I was ok or anything. They just went and cleaned up and moved on.

So here’s the thing I go to Popeyes chicken County Route 211 Middletown, New York store number 11636 I go in with a coupon for a meal two pieces of chicken, a biscuit and a soda for $6.99 on the side, I told the young lady I wanted the frozen lemonade and four wings And I was charged $14.29 additionally with the frozen lemonade $3.89.and the coupon for 699 came out to $27.22. How ridiculous is this?

I mean it's Popeyes. Decent chicken, kinda high price for fast food but it's just a good reliable quick meal great for after work or on a long day. Can always do better but you can't go wrong either.

The chicken sandwich is very good, but this place is very disorganized. I walked in to place an order, but no one was at the counter taking orders. Yet there were 4 people working the drive through. I placed my order through the drive through then had to wait for someone to bring my food out. It was quite the wait.

I went with my son an ordered two spicy chicken sandwich combos. We wanted it to taste better than it did. Especially since you had to wait on 211 just to get in. The bun was dried out but it looked glossy. Come to find out that was probably because the people handling the food doesn't change their gloves much. However the chicken was crispy but not worth waiting and what you paid for it. The song "I Love Popeye'sss!" should be changed to "I loved" because you will be disenfranchised, not to mention bloated after you eat the food. I guess the most positive thing I can say is that after a trip you can at least say you got that out of your system so you won't want it anymore.

Awful service. Honestly, half the time I go my order is wrong. The other half, it's just a crazy long wait. I recall once being told to pull up past the drive thru window, there was a wait on shrimp. They forgot about me. Twenty minutes later, I left with a big bag of fries. No shrimp though. I wouldn't go unless you absolutely need Popeye's, and new Windsor is just too far away. It would be worth it to cook for yourself at that point.

My wife and I were getting a little hungry. Because we like the French fries better at Popeye than KFC,. We went to Popeye; We tried getting the $6.00 "Big box" but the cashier convinced us to get $8.00 "Big box plus because it was better, so we agreed. Because we only had $ 20.00 it was perfect. At the window the female cashier gave us the 2 large drinks first and said $30.95 I replied by saying we are only 2 Big boxes. She came back with a new amount $21.39 because we already had the 2 large drink in the car, we agree. Took order and went home. Wrong order and No French fries.

Management really needs to follow up on this store ASAP. Staff need additional training! There are always issues when I go there: 1. Always out of food. No spicy chicken. No chicken wings. No apple pie. 2. They threw my fries in a paper bag! Who does that. No box?! Were they out of that too?! 3. Leaking drink cup... my cup holder wasn't thirsty...I was. 4. The biggest offense! Parked in drive thru watching the staff person that was preparing food eating some of the food while cooking with his gloves on. This is how people get the stomach virus or Hepatitis A from restaurants. I wonder what the department of health would think about this?!. Management needs to supervise them better and add some cameras in the kitchen so people can get clean un tampered food.

Went through the drive through, the women who took my order didn’t fully understand what I wanted and got somewhat of what I ordered but not exactly. The wings were dry as if they were sitting for a while. I didn’t think it was worth my time and effort to go back. They charged me 50¢ for two sauces, really after spending $28 for some dried out wings and a couple of chicken sandwiches! And lastly the parking lot is run down and dirty with litter which should of been a red flag. Sad to say but I just chalked it up to experience and cross yet another place off may ever growing list of places to avoid.

If I were just reviewing the chicken, I'd give it five stars, but because the service went to hell in the past month or two I only give it two. They never have anything you want or you need to wait about 20 mins for it. Tonight their one and only soda machine is out of service. How do you eat dinner with no drink? They use to have friendly accomodating people working the counter, but the people there now you can tell clearly don't want to be there. On top of all the sighs and frowns, they have complete incompetence when it comes to completing an order correctly. I had to wait 20 minutes for spicy chicken to be made. I ordered a 11 piece, and a half hour later when I got home, I realized I only got 9. I guess counting to 11 is some sort of special skill you need to have nowadays since the people that work there clearly have difficulty completing that simple task. It's a sad thing when minimum wage gets raised to $15 and these people can't even count that high. I would pay them $9 since they can't count any higher and wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

I try not to go to this Popeyes only because it looks so OLD, it's not the people, they are fine. The chicken is ok, but it gives me that "yek" feeling as it always smells, the garbage and back area is always unkempt and wet, and it just feels like there is no pride in how the the place looks. Who ever owns this location needs to invest in a remodel.

I went with my mom today around 4:30 and it was very slow, we got the wrong drinks twice, the wrong food and the food we did get had very obviously been sitting out for a while. We barely got any chicken and the biscuits were hard and tasted like straight oil. I rarely have problems here but my mom and I were both very disappointed with the food and attentiveness of the employees.

Chicken tenders and side dishes were good, except for the chicken sandwich. My sandwich came with a raw piece of chicken breast. It was like biting through rubber. Popeyes should teach employees that a thick piece of chicken breast requires more time to cook than a thin one. See pictures.

Disappointed in my order. Waited in the Drive Thru for an hour, ordered and paid for the food, waiting on the side for an extra 20 minutes, only to have to go in and ask where is my food. It wasn't even worth the hype. Looked like a chicken tendar to me. No pickles on it at all.

This Popeyes is extremely disappointing. They won't let you in the store unless you are picking up an order. Everyone must use the drive thru which is slower than anything!!! Then, I used a coupon for a meal. One of my side dishes was not available so when I ordered cajun fries instead I noticed a 30 cent extra charge. When I questioned the staff they tell me fries are 30 cents more than all other sides which is bull. Popeyes corporation needs to CLOSE this store permanently. It hurts the reputation of all other Popeyes because of their ineptness.

Ordered online, went through drive through to pickup, was told to park upfront, waited 15 minutes more, food came out, ordered original fish sandwich , was given the cajun, one bite and never again! Fish was really slimy under the coating with a extreme fishy taste and smell. Flounder should never be like that. Very disappointed. Wasted money and time.

Don't ask for the pieces you want. It's their choice NOT yours. This place gets worse all the time. Now they won't give you the chicken you want. I like legs and thighs and now they say they can't do that anymore. The owner is nasty. The servers throw the food around. Awful. Go to KFC and enjoy. Bad all the way around.

They never get your order correct. Had the cashier order food for themselves with my debt card about 1.5 years ago. Keep an eye on them, they will walk off with your debt card and take a picture and copy your card details. I complained to the manager about it and was never given a refund.

Very poor customer service. I ordered a large package meal, chicken, sides and biscuits through uber eats. The delivery was fine, the order was not. I was missing pieces of chicken, the biscuits and gravy for the mashed potatoes. I called the store and they suggested I order a single item on the menu and pay for it and the biscuits would be sent with that order. I would have had to pay an additional $10 for the biscuits which were included in the price of my order. The manager had no other suggestion for me. I am disabled, in a wheelchair with no access to transportation and she was aware. She kept on ignoring this information and was completely unhelpful. Although I have been a loyal customer to popeyes since the 80s, I will no longer order from there. I will switch to kfc.

The worst service ever! The woman at the drive thru sounded like she hated her job, extremely unpleasant. She asked me to repeat my two orders several different times and then when I drove around she informed me that there would be a 7 minute wait for the nuggets.. the 7 turned into 20! The employees as well as the manager were far from apologetic about the extended wait, not to mention I wasted my whole lunch break waiting. I'd never go there again.

The young girl working the drive through on Monday November 11th at 5:00 pm needs to be talked to. She was terrible at customer service. Got my order wrong three times then when I got home I realized she had got my order wrong once again. I ordered two classic chicken sandwich combos with one side of fries and one side of mashpotatoes. She gave us three drinks three sides of mash potatoes, and two spicy sandwiches instead of classic. Was overcharged significantly and demand a refund. The girl at the drive thru was terribly unprofessional and asked me what I wanted to do when I told her she got the order wrong. I asked for my money back and she only refunded the amount for the drink. Additionally it took over thirty minutes to get my order. Unbelievable. I would like to get in contact with a manager to receive a total refund for this nightmare.

The worst I've ever tasted. Each time I go I hope that things have changed-like finding someone who can follow instructions.. Always dry and hard. It seems as though that's their concept of how the Popeyes fried chicken should be prepared.

Came here with a friend, walked in the front door and they tell us to go to the drive through because they aren't taking orders inside. At the speaker they tell us they can't do separate orders which makes absolutely no sense. Screwed up my order! Got the shrimp tackle box combo with mashed potatoes and cocktail sauce. I order a chicken sandwich combo thru the drive thru. I'm told 4 mins until it's done. Please park and wait and they will bring it out to me. 15 mins pass so I go in. I have to say something to be acknowledged and the girl up front packing orders has horrible attitude. She tries to tell me I was told 15 mins at the window. I was not, I would have canceled the order and driven off as I'm working with a very short window of time. I tell her they can refund my card if they can't give me my order. All of a sudden, there's my food on the counter. Absolute stank attitude and EVERYONE was miserable looking in there. Not one smile, not one bit of welcoming in there. The girl that originally helped me in the drive thru was the ONLY pleasant experience with this. This was my second time coming here and the absolute last time. I do NOT recommend this ever.

This location consistently does a poor a job. The owner is lucky that it’s the only Popeyes in the area. I can’t spend my money here any longer. I had to wait 20+ minutes for my food when the drive thru was empty. The food tastes fine but the customer service isn’t acceptable.

The woman taking our order would talk over us while we ordered, and then miss our order. When we tried to order drinks. We ordered a coke and a sprite with no ice. She told us no. They didn't have soda. So we asked what they had available, she just said "you want a coke and a sprite?" So we replied yes. When we got to the window, she gave us a lemonade. We returned it, and she only said "well I dont have anything else. That's what you get." When we asked to remove the drinks from our order, her attitude worsened and she threatened "now its more expensive because you're not getting the meals" so we paid. And while leaving, we opened our food. The chicken was very dry and hard. As if it had been made much earlier in the day and reheated, AND because she was not listening when we ordered. We did not get the sandwiches the way we ordered. Just plain chicken sandwiches. 0/5 stars. Definitely will not be returning.

So my boss decided to get the team a delicious Popeyes meal for an early New Year’s party right and everything was going great till he decided to go to the drive thru and place the order. He asked several times if he could get white meat that he would pay extra for it. He didn’t care about how much it would cost he just wanted white meat. Looks like who ever was listening and taking the order down wasn’t understanding and didn’t speak a lot of English just mostly Spanish…. When someone else that did speak fully English helped him out they said he would have to wait for the chicken because it was being made nice and hot. So if he wanted it fresh to wait at least 20 minutes. Ok fine. We waited…. A few people came to order chicken the same one we wanted and guess what ? They got the chicken and left and when we asked if it was ready they said we needed to wait 20 more minutes because the customers in front of us took all the chicken…… Then later on a few doordashes came to pick up orders…Everyone was getting helped and 20 more minutes past and when we ask for our order again they just told us that they completely forgot! Like are you serious? No professionalism, no apologetic, no cooperation, no respect, no hospitality. No manners. No consideration. Just excuses and no action being taken for more than an hour… After an hour and change I got my food…The girl threw some extra fries in a box and said that’s for the wait …Did it fast and in a hurry and I still didn’t get my white meat…. Am very disappointed with Popeyes… Love the food but the customer service experience not so much. I definitely think the manager should have a talk with the team about first customer gets served that it is only fair. And to make sure whoever takes food orders understands 100% English because communication and understanding the customers orders is very important. Also if mistakes are made and customers end up having a longer period time of waiting to at least apologise and be professional about the situation and have better customer service and manners. The issue wasn’t fix or addressed. Even after they said to just wait and the issue would get taken care of it never did and they completely forgot about my order. I usually don’t write reviews but hopefully this one can make a difference so changes can be made for the better and every customer that goes to Popeyes leaves happy and satisfied and that way you guys will have loyal customers that always return and don’t feel like they don’t matter or what they have to say won’t be taking into consideration. There is always a right way on doing things and giving the best customer service experience you can get but this wasn’t it. It looked like no one wanted to be there or worked there. This location consistently delivers the wrong products. Be sure to check your orders. When I order blackened chicken (grilled), they give me breaded. (Has happened 3 separate times).They forget all dipping sauces ( every time) and we've had to re-enter the drive through several times for order corrections.

I ordered the $11.99 5 chicken tender dine-in off the app and was not given biscuits. On the app, it said the offer comes with biscuits. When I asked for the biscuits, she told me I would have to pay for them. Also, my child’s meal was missing apple sauce. I will not be coming back to this Popeye’s since they do not adhere to what their coupons say.

The absolute rudest. I've never left a review on a fast food place, seems petty, but these 2 ladies working the late night window were rude and INSULTING me for no reason. I asked for sauce for my chicken tenders and it was a whole meltdown. I even offered to pay for dipping sauce and was insulted telling me "don't come here asking for things" it was bizarre and gross. The worst fried chicken I’ve ever had! They use fried chicken oil to fry the French fries. That was terrible. The fries were all disgusting smell …. I ordered 4pieces chicken combo. First time tried Popeyes chicken and it was the last time as well. Never ever go back again!

This was by far the worst Popeyes experience I’ve ever had across the states. The biscuits and fries were dry and cold, and the red beans and rice were downright nasty — undercooked and completely unappetizing. None of our orders were correct, and the staff seemed inattentive and disorganized. Even the fried chicken, which is supposed to be their specialty, was bland and underwhelming. Overall, it was a thoroughly disappointing visit. 100% will not be coming back.

They told me to park at the front because they were waiting for fresh biscuits. I park at the front wait for it and get my food first no utensils in the bag how am I supposed to eat my rice and beans, no napkins and then the biscuit had a bug stuck on it. Never again .

Popeyes in Monticello just opened recently and I have so far been there three times now and all three times my experience there has been terrible. They can’t seem to get my order right, I know it’s been busy but I’m not the only one who has had this issue, working fast food sucks but clearly the workers are also high or intoxicated as the lady sounded really drunk over the intercom and badly messed up my order and seemed annoyed when I confronted her about it, food quality wasn’t great and I would eat there at your own risk as it seems undercooked and is not being handled properly too.

Went in very hungry, was completely ignored the whole 10 minutes I was there then finally a woman asked “you need to order?” Like no, I’m just standing here because I want to. Obviously I needed to order! Food smelled good, but I’m taking my appetite elsewhere where I can be appreciated

What a horrible horrible experience.This is my third time coming here and will be my last.They messed up two out of three of my orders. Every time I came here I have gotten the same thing.But for some reason the price keeps changing. Every time I come here, the price is different.And the ladies always tell me different things.. Service is extremely slow. Ladies are very condescending It's sarcastic and get mad.Because you messed up my order. Please hire some decent workers. Read your comments. The lady at the drive thru had no idea what we were saying and after 5 mins of making us wait called us to the window, then started taking order from the people behind us and made us wait another like 5min at the window. So we just ordered online for pickup. Waited 20min, went in and they started making the order after I told them my name. I complained to the manager, forget about an apology she didnt even come back to say anything to me after I complained. Then got my food another 20/25min later. Went to the car and the order was missing an entire chicken wings box. We ordered 2. When I went in and told em, and told the manager, again no apology, she just left. The lady got the order ready and when I asked for the sauce she said it’s in the bag and infact it wasnt. No apologies from any staff or the manager, no compensation nothing. On top of that, gave me a sauce that went bad, no way to know beforehand maybe but this isnt acceptable either. You can see the bubbles. I had another one and this one definitely taste funky. Horrible customer service. The food was good tho.

I genuinely hate this Popeyes so much if I could give it one star I would. They always forget my condiments then get mad at me for asking for them. They always put my sauce on when I ask for on the side. When I’ve asked to change it they say no. Save yourself some sanity and don’t go here.

Sadly, food quality has gone out the window, I don’t remember the last time I got the right order. The breading on the wings I ordered tasted like soap. Got $10 credit back on the app, but I won’t ever be coming back to this location again.

They gave me a warm bottle of water and made us wait 10 minutes in front of the store for our food. The lady taking the order could not understand me and I had to repeat everything multiple times. All of the sauce was "out" as well. It's not worth coming here anymore

This place has really gone down. I'm determined not to eat here anymore until they get it together. If you order thru the app, you shouldn't be made to go thru the drive thru with 10-15 cars sitting in it to get your food. What was the point? The food was subpar, even the side dish was not good. Also I ordered the spicy tenders, and it was dry, all breading. There was only a thin layer of meat there. Of course I reached out to them and left a complaint. Did anyone ever respond? Of course not! This place is sad, and I refuse to waste anymore of my time and money on it. Please steer clear of this place!
