This is truly a special place. The atmosphere is unique, it feels like you're not in Milan. The people here, from the owners to the customers, are kind and friendly. We had a wonderful dinner; both the food and the wine were excellent. Milan needs this place and its beautiful garden, not new skyscrapers. Dining calmly, in an authentic setting, with authentic dishes is priceless, and the prices are fair too!

One of my favourite hidden spots of Milan. My best friend took me the first time years ago and ever since I takenomly few special people, as it's just so special, it deserves people who get that old-school vibe :) Just love this place. The food too is delicious, served in very generous large portions but also, of truly excellent quality, as one might not expect from such a type of 'trattoria' kind of place. You can noticd the quality and attention to detail right from the start, with the bread baske filled with a selection of different types of grissini (bread sticks) and bread. The menu represents the proper "cucina Milanese" at its very best, made most faithfully according to the traditional rexipes. I had a 'cotoletta alla milanese', which was huge and wonderfully-cooked - too often one gets served a dissapointing cut ofchewy meat, but this was clearly a high quality cut of meat, delicious and s tender as butter. We also had risotto and osso-buco - I think it's the best ossobuco in Milan, truly (and I've tried many restaurants here of all the ranges!!): massive piece of ossobuco, as tender as it gets and an impressive cut - better than any of the fanciest restaurants I know in Milan, believe me. Also the risotto was just perfect (one of my pet peeves if a risotto is dry, 'cackey' or simply tasteless): creamy, 'all'onda', and 'al dente', as one would only expect at a top notch restaurant. The staff are wonderful, friendly and welcoming and it's courtyard it a small treasure, protected from the tall walls cutting out the rest of the world. The peculiarity of this place though is the internal courtyard which you step into: like a secret gardenz with greenery weaving inbetween and along the walsz one suddenly feels in another world from Milan, like stepping back fifty years ago into one of those charming local family-run eateries which are increasingly difficult to find. One of those bars-trattorie I hope will stay for ever, and for ever unchanged, please.

Trattati come se fossimo conoscenti nulla da dire perfetto in tutto. Una costoletta alla milanese perfetta. Un saluto e ringraziamento al titolare. I CAMPANI.

Ristorante molto caratteristico, situato all interno dei bastioni di Porta Volta. Cibo buono, servizio gentile ma rustico. Possibilità di fare anche solo aperitivo. Note negative: per prenotare, nonostante ho provato svariate volte a telefonare, sono dovuto andare direttamente in struttura. Rivedrei le indicazioni all’esterno del circolo per favorire l’ingresso al ristorante visto che dall’esterno non c’è segnalazione.

Ho passato una bellissima serata all'interno di questo circolo. Facilmente raggiungibile e esteticamente molto bello. Accogliente. Servizio gentile e disponibile. Prezzi giusti e qualità buona. Posto consigliato!

buon locale in centro Milano, vicino al quartiere Isola e zona Sarpi. all'interno del vecchio vederlo della dogana, in un ambiente semplice offre birra, aperitivo e buon cibo

il circolo si trova a pochi passi da chinatown; ha un cortiletto interno che ti fa dimenticare di essere a Milano! prezzi medio bassi e clima rilassato. consigliato per un bicchiere di vino in tranquillità (non fanno l'apericena milanese, si paga il bicchiere di vino 3/4€ e portano qualche patatina)

Frequentavo questo posto 5-6 anni fa ed oggi ci sono capitata di nuovo per caso con dei colleghi e una bambina piccola. L'accoglienza è stata fredda e non all'altezza delle aspettative, nonostante la carineria del personale di cucina che non si respira con il personale di sala, freddo e scocciato. I prezzi sono in linea con le aspettative con il vecchio stile reduci e combattenti. Lo sfregio lo ha fatto però l'amministrazione che ha demolito di fatto il piacevole giardino estivo nel quale si suonava, si faceva musica live e ci si poteva trattenere sotto al vecchio albero profumato. Un vero peccato ed un danno enorme per il locale. Quanta pena. Niente giardino, niente glicine odoroso.

Caratteristico, dall'atmosfera piacevole se non fosse per la vicinanza tavoli e per il rumore. Vicino a noi c'era un compleanno e non siamo riusciti a parlare tra noi. La cena è stata mediamente buon…
