The food is Great but you need to call to place the order before because the waiting time is long even through the drive thru. I had to get down to get my order.

I came here to dine in with some family while visiting. I really enjoyed how laid back this location was compared to the ones back in San Antonio. The staff was amazing and quick to make sure every customer had what they needed and the food was delicious as always. Despite the lines in these locations, the service is usually very quick and efficient. I love that they have a salsa bar with all you can eat chips!

Our visit to Taco Palenque Mission this past weekend was SUPER EXCELLENT. Im starting with the leader, the night manager. We Believe his name is Sergio Chavez (we asked our server). Mr. Chavez personally took our order with a big smile. That made a big difference right away. We felt very welcomed. He patiently explained the menu and the combinations available. And thanked us for our business. Next, we moved to the salad bar and loaded up with chips and salsas. Evenly Crispy Chips. Now, Even thou it was super busy and full of customers, our big order took a normal average time. The 'Real Food In Real Time' Fajitas, Frijoles, Rice and flour tortillas were the reason we chose Taco Palenque and we were NOT disappointed 😋!!! The Caballero Server (we don't remember his name) Working That Night made us feel LIKE at 'my Aunt's house' where everything that everyone eats is served with 'Gusto' 😁. My family and I had an Excellent Dinner at Taco Palenque. Price for our order was a bit above Fair, but the food portions were just as much and super delicious. I haven't been disappointed with the following: bean and egg, bacon and egg, patato and egg, chorizo and egg. Also, there enchiladas Suizzas (with chicken) have been great.

I love this place and would 100 percent recommend it for anyone looking for a good place to eat. I came to this fast food restaurant like at 6:30 in the afternoon since it was recommended to me by a good friend of mine and I must say the service here was absolutely wonderful not to mention they were 100 percent professional and went above and beyond with my order plus I really love the way they took my order in the cash register. The way the young man greeted me when coming in just made me feel at home and i honestly can’t wait to visit this place again👍👍👍 keep the great work up jerry.

I love the fajita tacos. I always ask for the avocado sauce, I get home and no avocado sauce😞 I will just have to check before I drive off. It was pretty fast. I asked for the nachos I love those but I don’t like the liquid cheese I wish we could have an option to ask for shredded cheese. Taco Palenque on Mission is the best place for Mexico style food !! I really like the tortillas no matter if corn or wheat any of both styles and even love more the rice and beans, there just excellent !! And last but not least, no matter if you choose beef or chicken fajita, is the same good flavor and taste every single day !!! aaaanndd please do not forget about order a slice of chocolate cake for a delicious dessert 👏👏 💯 !!

I have to say my experience with the cashier this past weekend in the afternoon was a huge improvement. In the past id get so frustrated because i had to open every item in my order just to check if it was right only to find mistakes that left me reheating cold food once i got home. But this time the afternoon cashier made all the difference—she took the time to go over everry item and ensure everything was exactly what we ordered It really took away the usual stress, and we got home with a warm meal, just as we wanted. thank you for the fantastic service and attention to detail.

The food was sooo good, tasted awesome, no mistakes. All employees wearing masks and gloves, very friendly and attentive. The restaurant was not packed, everyone seated apart appropriately, felt very safe and comfortable eating there (inside). And if you can't finish your food there (it is very filling and too good to leave there or throw away) simply ask for a - to go plate to take it home with you! Will definitely be dining there again and strongly recommend to anyone and everyone looking for great mexican food and a safe, comfortable environment in regards to dining in a restaurant.

Ordered delivery of the Parrilladas. \nI was craving their fajitas. \nThey delivered 20 minutes early and everything was absolutely delicious. \nI highly recommend Taco Palenque.

The food was good and despite the fact that the restaurant was extremely busy, we received our order quickly and it was correct. My main complaint is that the restaurant looked a little dirty, but staff was trying to clean. Also, the play area was awful and kids were running around barefoot all over, even the main area, but that's not necessarily the restaurant's fault.

The food is great, almost like mother made! Prices are reasonable. If you eat in, service is also great, but when you order take out, service goes way down. Simple orders like tacos in my experience are never accurate. Every other order is not correct or missing ingredients. Preparers just don't pay attention to the orders. Might be my fault,but if I have to reach in to a bag full of tacos to check on it , I say it defeats the purpose of take out!

I ordered online a partillada for 4, a super quesadilla and a pirata taco and tortilla chips. I was disappointed when I got home and checked my order, I noticed that I was missing the tortilla chips and the amount of meat was not enough for 4 people. There were 12 tortillas in my order but meat enough for about 7 or 8 tacos. 🤔

We had dinner here last night, my wife ordered the fish plate. When asked what kind of fish it was the person just shrugged and said “it’s what they send us” this plate had no flavor and although fried had a lot of water still present in the fish. I had the Casero Tacos which you can’t go wrong with. As always the fajita is high quality and very tender. Location is nothing to talk about looks like an old McDonalds. Prices are high for what the food is, you can have a nice meal just about anywhere else for what you pay here.

Actually this imparticular Taco Palenque here in Mission I'm giving them a hell of props for being a super busy day on Christmas Day!. Wow they were hustling props to all the staff that was on that day. Them Matamorros Tacos combo was delish I was so hungry I forgot to take pic. But I also ordered the sm. Menudo and wow amazed was not greasy at all very delicious. Yes I love chili on my menudo so I was pretty generous with it lol. Overall customer service was great. Tables a bit dirty but it is understandable everyone was trying their best. I'll give them that wish our local Taco Palenque was as awesome as this one here in Mission tx. I recommend eating here they were not shysty with their servings and I think I got my moneys worth. Thx again Staff cashier, cooks, servers, everyone on that day, great Job! Ordering options need to be updated. I wanted to place a delivery order of quesadilla doble for my mom and quesadillas weren’t on the order menu also the bean taco wasn’t there either. Had to order a fajita taco and added cheese.

It's an OK place, food is decent, service is good, but, their prices are a bit much according to me. To someone who has "spared" money, it might not. Place is clean, and ample parking.

I went through the drive-thru and had a very frustrating experience. The person taking my order was extremely hard to understand. I honestly couldn’t tell what language he was speaking — it didn’t sound like clear English or Spanish — and I had to guess most of what he was saying. When I got to the window, he charged me and kept speaking, but I still couldn’t understand him. I asked him to repeat himself and it was the same thing. He eventually pointed toward the parking area, and I figured out he was asking me to park and wait for my order. The entire interaction felt confusing because I was basically guessing the whole time. When I got home, I realized my order was wrong. Overall, it was disappointing because clear communication at the drive-thru is really important. I hope management can address this so future customers don’t have the same issue.

This is my favorite location, however my last visit was very dissapointing. I only ordered a breakfast bean and chorizo taco at the drive thru and when I left, I opened package and tortilla was all bent every which way with the beans just thrown on top. I couldn't find a way to pick up the taco and get a bite because it was all just messed up. I will return but never again for a breakfast taco.

We waited 25 minutes for our order when it wasn’t even packed. I asked about my order and the cashier asked the manager, he didn’t say a single word and just refunded my money. I asked what happened with my order and he said “not sure” and he didn’t even ask if I wanted the order still, he just cancelled the order. Drive thru experience was horrible. BE PREPARED TO WAIT UN INSANLY AMOUNT OF TIME. For tasteless street tacos. Went thru drive thru on 12/16/2022. I work overnight, and there isn't that much traffic. You would expect a somewhat decent speed in the drivethru. Waited for 30 minutes for the food and forgot to give silverware, beans, and large cup of rice. Tacos are small and Bland just disappointing. P.S Don't even bother asking for the complementary free chips at the window they won't give you any. If I could leave zero stars I would.

Everything was going okay EXCEPT there was some kind of white label in the beans and it was disgusting! When I reached out to the location via phone, they said it was a label that got caught in the preparation. No credit or new taco was given or offered. It's just a taco, but geez a label in the food? Ordered 3 tacos and was supposed to receive 3 free tacos for Taco Day. So total 6. They only gave me 5. I live almost 30 minutes away. Not the first time they do this. I used to love this restaurant, but these past few times, the food i ordered was not what i asked for. I ordered a Cesar salad, took 45 minutes to bring it out and the salad was horrible. Just a regular salad with old lettuce, the second time I ordered a large caldo de res, waited almost 30 minutes for my order to only get peas, carrots and carne guisada cut up cubes instead of carne de res. It's Mission Texas, so I get that there are people from the neighboring country that work up here, but come on.... no English at all? One girl just looked at us when we tried to order, she didn't understand us and we obviously didn't know how to communicate with her. Now had we crossed the border i would have expected everyone to speak Spanish, but alas we are in America. Just maybe please hire people who can speak both languages. We waited for 30 minutes looking at the girl bc we couldn't communicate.

There’s a kid on drive thru with glasses that has an attitude, if you don’t like your job you can look for another one but he shouldn’t be taking it on customers. And second if you are in drive thru handling money and people’s cards, you have no reason to be touching the tortillas with your dirty hands.

Ended up getting Caldo de Res. But was hugely disappointed. This Caldo had green beans and some other bean like items. No potatoes at all and very little meat. It has very little taste and was a strange concoction of things I've never seen in a Caldo de Res. Never again will I order Caldo de Res from this place. If you don't have the ingredients. Don't make something you claim to be Caldo de res. Very disappointed with this place.

It’s been months since I started coming here every day to get food and every day they give me my order wrong no matter the time of day. I try to tell them before they give it to me and they just dismiss me and tell me to go park. Even when I get my food I ask if everything is there and it isn’t. And when I want to call to let them know I don’t even know the name of the employee because every time it’s the same guys name even if a woman took my order. If you’re going to get food from here double check your bag because there will be something wrong.

The cashier is extremely rude but the food is decent. It is pricey for what you get but the condiment bar is pretty good. If you don't speak Spanish, the service gets even worse. This used to be a pretty fun and cool place to eat, now the service has gone downhill and prices are very high. For the same amount of money you pay here, you can eat at a full service restaurant. I visited several Taco Palenque restaurants in Texas. The location in Mission has the worst customer service. The drive-thru employee working on Monday at 6:30 PM desperately needs to improve their social and communication skills.

Ordered a fajita plate and a drink thru drive thru at 12:20pm and they charged me and told me to park in the parking lot. There were nine cars and they all got their food before me. I had to look for the receipt that they gave me and their printer needs ink I couldn't see their phone number and had to Google it. Once I called I tried talking to the manager and he wouldn't come to the phone when he was the one that charged me for my food. After a second time I got a hold of him and it turns out they didn't even have my Order in the system according to him... which is odd because they had it when they charged me. They he never apologized or offer a refund until I got really upset. I had waste most of my lunch hour. When they did give me what I paid for the food it was cold and they did not give the sauce, chips, utensils or napkins and I had to call the manager again so this is when he finally offered a refund which is not gonna happen because I'm not going there again. It disappointing how the food is good service is horrible because this happen alot to me at the shary and palmhurst location. I'm tired and never going back.

Only given 5 stars because the cashier fixed the issue. Even tho the cook made a rude face, asking to KO in the restaurant. But tonight I purchased a $7 fajita taco. Only had 2 normal pieces and the rest small pieces of fajita. I've been coming here for years after the movies never seen these this skimped out. Sad.

Every time I go or order from this location whether it is door dash or drive thru, it never fails. Order is always incorrect, staff doesn’t take anything serious and super unprofessional. Today I order door dash and of course they forget to give me some of my food. I go to the location myself to order the items and they give me incorrect sodas, I give it back and again they give me wrong drinks almost as if they do it on purpose. They finally give me the right drinks and the correct food that was missing and I ask to speak to the manager and the guy doesn’t even take it serious. Most of the staff are unprofessional, refer to you as pa or bro, or don’t even know an ounce of English. Mexican restaurant or not, being able to communicate with your customers correctly is crucial to good service. This location should consider an entirely new staff, judging by the other reviews I’m not the only one who notices their unprofessionalism or lack of customer service skills. Hopefully higher management does something about it and runs a tighter ship. *Update* 1/17/26 I got home after addressing the issue and still got the wrong quesadilla.. it really isn’t that serious but when it happens over and over someone has to address it😆 hoping taco p at this location improves👍

2:30 am we got our order and the enchilada suisas had a funny flavor I walk to the counter and asked to speak to the manager told him about he offered to change them for something else but then whent back and told the workers at that given time not one but all of the workers where talking out load about make Shure you try it to see if it has good flavor one even said this smells bad so I throw this away having a time of their life we where sitting at the very back seat near the windows and we can still hear clearly what they where telling one a nother ok got up and told the manager why are they all making fun of the way the food was he said I'm sorry but I told the workers about checking the sauce on the enchiladas and I told him yes you told one and more than one where talking about it out load and that is not correct I did not ask for free food I payed cash food for 6 pl and with no one else being in the location at the time is more than clear if all of them are being load talking about it it was all of them talking about our orders so I asked the manager to write down the time and managers name so they can check the cameras and time frame and he wrote the time one hour later and after that he had a talk with the workers and after that all the workers where quiet like if not one person was there when before they where all being load in t will be best if they will actually hire pl with better attitudes attached is the info that was written down one hour difference from when it actually happened. Update it's been 6 days and after sending a email like they said and making a call still have not been contacted about what happened that day they are just covering up for each other over the phone I left my contact information and also. In the email and I have not received a car or anything Wonder customer service yet they are fast in sending a automated reply the next day saying to send a email if the valley fell location why has no one contacted me it's not like I'm trying to get a hold of a big restaurant chain

I went to the drive thru on Saturday and made my order for my mom. The teller asked what drink I wanted and I told her to wait because I was asking my elderly mom. She all of sudden she changed my order so I did tell her I told to hold on. Ever since that her to e of voice and customer service went down the hill. She was her sarcastic towards me and was just making faces. You need to give good courteous service with a smile. If you don't like your job just get out of ask to be moved. She was a girl that is dark skin don't know her race. And I am not make fun at that, because we are all equal. The food is awesome but you need to talk to that girl. After she got my money for my order she asked a girl to come and give me my plates. Why, why couldn't she, then as I looked in she was just staring at me like she had some kind of beef with me. Like really I think she wanted to argue or jump me or something. WOW, I hardly go to this place but I am really thinking twice to go again.

Wow what can I say. I have never been so disappointed in a taco, especially from Taco P. Its been a few years since having a breakfast taco from here. THE AMOUNT OF GREASING SPEWING FROM THE TACO WAS INSANE. I DIDNT KNOW IF IT WAS HAM AND EGG CALDO OR A TACO! Extremely disappointed. You are better off going to Stripes and getting a Q taco or go to Whataburger around the corner and ordering a taco from there (ask for shell eggs they make them fresh). The tortilla was extremely soggy and sticky from the grease. Flavor: very bland. I remember when Taco P was great to buy breakfast tacos from. The decline is crazy. Also was told to park in the parking lot to wait for my order. (there was no one behind me so whats the point of that). Im curious to try their lunch tacos. Cant wait to write a review on that. Ill keep going back to write reviews. Maybe lunch will be different.
