Homemade flour tortillas! I love getting the Chile relleno on Fridays. Each meal comes with free chips and salsa. Service is fast and usually never a long wait. I also recommend the carne asada burrito or quesadilla and the chorizo and egg breakfast burrito. This place is a must try, reasonable priced ($10 for a meal)

Amazing food with freshly made flour tortillas. When ordering burritos one problem is the tortillas tend to rip causing the contents to fall out. They offer a range contents to put inside. Make sure to ask for the flour chips they make which are amazing!

Having grown up with always eating Mexican food at home. I didn't have much appreciation for Mexican food at restaurants but I can say without a doubt this is NOT your ORDINARY Mexican restaurant! The homemade tortillas remind me of home, not to mention biting into into one of there quesadillas or burritos will make you melt from pure savoriness.

If your looking for Authentic Mexican, look no further! Second time here and will return. I've been cooking for over 40 years. Its easy to mess up Authentic Mexican, much harder to perfect. They got it pretty close to perfect!! Everything is fresh, salsa is just right, and you'll know once you try their food. I recently moved from San Jose and tried several location s throughout Modesto and this one is my favorite. The only part that seemed to be slightly bothersome was the line...but well worth the wait, over and over again! Rancho Fresco Mexican Grill.....Thanks for keeping your food fresh, your tortillas home made, the burritos so huge and the price just right!

First time in , nice folks work here. Food was very good. This order system reminds me of Portland. Lots of engagement with register and the cook. The fresh tortillas took me back too my childhood with my Nana. I'll definitely be back for me of the menu.

Great place to have a bite to eat if you're craving for Mexican style food late at night. My wife and I always ho there after having enjoyed an even at The Gallo Center. The menu might seem small but it covers the basic items you would find at any large Mexican restaurant with the option of you deciding what is put on the side of the plate you chose. Like guacamole, sour cream, salsa red or green, refried beans, whole beans and whatever kind of meat that's in the menu.

Right at the center of Modesto downtown. The food is fresh. You can feel the freshness in their Tortilla. Whether it's casadilla or burrito, it tastes like homemade. I tried both the mentioned food and wasn't disappointed. I would definitely recommend this place if you're craving fresh mexican food and don't have the energy or time to make at home. The only reason I gave 4 star is, because always double check your order when ordering takeout because they charge me for extra stuff and didn't put it in the bag.

Decided to give this place a shot based off the good reviews and also since it's one of the few places in the area open late. Walk in and it's simple and casual, nothing fancy, which was perfect. Got the steak quesadilla and Stella at the bar. The food was pretty good. The tortillas being rolled and cooked right in front of you was a cool feature. Everything was well priced too. My only issue here was the ordering process being a little confusing. You order your food, pay, then either stand there awkwardly or go sit down and come back up to make the sauce and topping choices, but none of that is explained so after asking for everything on it and heading to the bar for a beer, I had to get up and go back to choose more things. Small detail. Still, once you know the way they work it's fine. Will definitely be back!

This place is a bit unorthodox to order your food. You don't order your food at the register....you have to talk to the person making the fresh tortillas. Then you repeat your order to the 2nd person actually making your tacos....and then at the cashier you have to tell them what you ordered again. This is such an ineffective way to take orders. The food itself was good, but I probably would not go back.

I’ve never been to a restaurant before that had a full bar with no drink menu. I wanted a Bloody Mary but were told by our server that they weren’t that great. So, I ordered a Michelada. Our server was very nice and polite. So, I was taken aback by the no drink menu. The food we ordered was spectacular! I had steak and mashed potatoes and my wife had carne Asada fries. The atmosphere has cool vibes and we were very pleased.

Food is below average -huevos rancheros, corn tortilla under eggs difficlt to cut, no tortillas, chips, salsa or water served with breakfast. Food quality below the Mexican restaurants i have frequented here in Modesto. Here for breakfast at 9: 12, freezing in the restaurant. Second time I have eaten here, last time was in.the late after noon. Overall, 2 stars out of 5. Ordered at the counter. Never stopped by to ask how I was doing. Ate half the breakfast. Very disappointed. Will not come again

It looks very nice inside. The food was okay, lacked a little flavor. The portions of meat were very small. Handmade tortillas were great and honestly the best part of the meal. All staff were very nice but not very welcoming. 5/10

“I bought a quesadilla that cost less than $14, and after they finished making it, they asked me if I wanted a little guacamole on the side. I said yes, but they never told me they were going to charge extra. When I paid, it was almost $21 just for the quesadilla, meaning the little scoop of guacamole came out to almost seven dollars, which honestly wasn’t right. They should tell you if they’re going to charge you extra.”

The customer service was not the best. I asked her kindly to strain the carnitas from all the grease before making the quesadilla and she gave instant attitude. She also did not strain the grease it was just a mouthful of grease in each bite. As you can see the pool at the bottom of my plate. For this place being called Rancho Fresco a mouth full of grease is not what I imagine .
