We were out in Montauk for my birthday and we had 14 people go to Anthony's pancake House for breakfast. We enjoyed the experience so much on our first breakfast that we went back just before we left Montauk to head home. From the menu to the service, everything was outstanding and everyone raved about their meal. Next time we're out in Montauk we will definitely visit Anthony's again.
On the busiest day of the year, the staff was both efficient and patient. We had omelets which were delicious and my special instructions were followed. Everyone was friendly day and the food was delicious. Water glasses and coffee cups were refilled.
Outstanding food and service at this local pancake house. Pancakes are super fluffy and the other breakfast items were excellent! The owner, Diana, has given the atmosphere a fresh updated nautical theme. The staff was prompt and friendly. A must for breakfast!
Great breakfast!! Food was so tasty and the service was wonderful. Will definitely come back here again when in Montauk. Reasonably priced, you just have to pay with cash :)
Excellent breakfast spot, the only place in town I’ve found that isn’t overpriced. 2 eggs and bacon is 9.50 if you pay in cash. My large side of hash browns was $5 and both were incredible.
I played an hour and a half set out front after breakfast! I think people thought I was the entertainment 🤣🎼
Anthony's Pancake House is my go to for breakfast when I am in Montauk. The food comes out quick and is hot and the servers are always friendly and attentive. Not to mention the food is very good and fresh and presented well. The restaurant is immaculately clean with decor to match. You can also watch 2 large screen tvs that actually dont seem out of place in this quaint establishment. If you are ever in Montauk make sure you stop in.
Nice and clean, friendly staff. The food came out quick and hot, which is what we all want. I went with the pancakes with fruit- banana pancakes, nice and hot with fresh cuts of banana on top and stuffed with bananas in between the pancakes. The pancakes were nice and fluffy and only lasted a NY minute. Price was right and service was great and I would return next time I'm out this way.... nice breakfast place....
I might have had it all wrong, but I walked away from another nearby pancake house (second day in a row) for feeling like I was being treated differently because of the color of my skin. A few blocks away, the staff at Anthony’s pancake house were on the contrary, very welcoming and attentive so my husband and I decided to give it a try. The food was amazing and the place was immaculate... so clean! Would definitely recommend this breakfast spot to family and friends
Food was amazing and tasted fresh! Was an excellent way to end my batchelorette weekend. Some of the best home fries I've ever had. Will come again if I'm ever in Montauk. The peanut butter pancakes were delicious
Fast service, fresh fruitsand vegetables. Friendly staff. Busy, tables are clean quickly but no rush to hurry your meal. Inside and outdoor dining. Plenty of seating to accommodate small (1) and larger groups.
We came here for breakfast twice from NYC and we loved it! The service is fast and friendly. The food is delicious and well priced. The atmosphere is great and the space is well decorated and designed. Definitely worth coming to!!!
We came each morning for breakfast during our 3 day stay in Montauk. Food was great every time, place was very clean and our servers were always accommodating. Silver dollar pancakes were tasty and their home fries were delicious!
The food was delicious and service was exceptional. What a great breakfast spot in Montauk
This is an outstanding restaurant for breakfast. The food is fresh, the service is excellent. Today I had Classic Eggs Benedict, and a very generous serving of the Holandaise sauce. Staff are courteous, friendly and willing to meet customers needs. We had breakfast at Anthony’s every morning that we were in Montauck. I highly recommend Anthony’s when in Montauck.
The food was good for a quick bite. The line was long and we had to wait 30 mins for a table. But the service was really good with nice friendly staff.
Best gluten free waffle ever. Highly recommend the steak and eggs and the hash is delicious. Ate there 3 days in a row...
My family and I had almost all of our breakfasts here in August 2024. This, believe it or not, is one of the very rare places in Montauk where you can still have a traditional American style breakfast: eggs any style, omelets, berries, yogurt etc. The food is delicious. We tried eggs benedict, salmon omelet, spinach omelet, home fries, yogurt (awesome!), French toast different styles. The atmosphere here is very warm and welcoming, the waiters are fantastic and Anthony himself comes out often to help the guests and talk to them. They all do their best to make guests feel comfortable and at home. Sometimes we took take outs from here. Everything was packed nicely and thoughtfully. Highly recommend!
Anthony’s is a wonderful place to eat at! The food is delicious and the service even better. Danny is an exceptional server! We wish there were more like him! He’s very attentive, thoughtful, knowledgeable and professional. This is why we keep coming back. Thank you for making us feel at home!
I love Anthony's Pancake House! The owner/staff are so attentive and they really take care of their customers. The food has all the hits. The pancakes are my favorite but you can't go wrong with anything else on the menu. Highly recommended Montauk spot to hit when you are there!
We came here 3 times in a row and loved it each time. The food was excellent (I recommend the famous fluffy pancakes). The service was amazing, our waitress, Darina made our experience 5x better. It’s a very popular breakfast spot and I can see why. There is a bit of a wait time if you come during peak hours (11-12) which is expected but it is worth it!
My husband and I had a great breakfast on our way out of town. Servers were prompt and food was quick and really tasty for an amazing price. The interior renovations look great as well - refreshed modern beach town vibes. HIGHLY recommend bringing cash to pay with before you come :)
The breakfast pancakes eggs, and sausage are delicious beautiful atmosphere nice staff pricing is great great place to visit for breakfast when in Montauk restaurant is very neat and clean. Definitely recommend to go. Thank you Anthony's pancake House for a great time
We ate here twice during our trip to Montauk. The queue gets long around 9:30 so we got there at 7-7:30 being early risers and there was no problem getting seated (they open at 7am). Tried the pancakes and waffle which were both good, pancakes probably better! Service was quick and food came out quickly too. Recommended (but go early!).
We went to brunch at this place during Covid. They have outdoor seating available, great hygiene, great cleaning and overall a good and safe place to have brunch. Food is good too and its inexpensive considering the location. Its on the main street, where you can enjoy view from outside and enjoy great food. We ordered Veggie of the day which was a big Veggie omlette long with house fries. Food was great. Definitely recommend this place for breakfast.
The staff greeted our group of 10 people quickly and warmly. We got there around 7:30AM and they were so accommodating. The food was prepared with care and the serving portions are perfect! The staff are kind and attentive which I love! If you are in the Montauk area I highly recommend the country fried steak with sunny side eggs, home fries and toast! The coffee is freshly brewed and they frequently walk around checking cups for refills! I also recommend the pancakes and the waffles are fluffy! The decoration has a nautical style theme reminiscent to the area but modern without being too distracting.
THE place in MTK for breakfast. It has been around for decades and its recently renovated and everything is spotless and beautiful. Basic diner/breakfast menu but everything is executed perfectly. They have gluten free options, turkey sausage and bacon, fruit, oatmeal, BLTs, eggs Benedict, pancakes, French toast and everything else. I always get an omelet and an English muffin. Coffee is piping hot and fresh, always refilled. Staff and service is spot on. Food comes out fast. My go to spot after fishing an early tide.
Anthony’s blows the typical Long Island diner away. The food is wonderful and reasonably priced. Extremely clean, well lit, and open. The waitstaff is excellent and friendly.
Amazing breakfast! You know they're good because all the locals go here.
Came here for breakfast on a Saturday morning and had a great experience. We were able to sit wherever we wanted, which was nice. The omelette and steak and eggs were very good, the waffle was fresh, and the home fries were absolutely delicious. A solid spot for a relaxed breakfast in Montauk.
Went twice in a row for breakfast and was just lovely. Food was delicious and big portions. Friendly staff and attentive. Reasonably priced for the area, will definitely be back.
I had a locks onion feta cheese omelette that was very good. My wife had a fried egg over corned beef hash that was excellent at the Hormel style corned beef hash not the Irish corned beef hash. The coffee was good. Went here in September
Love this place! The ratings are far too low and do not represent the experience the restaurant is spacious. We were seated on a weekend morning with no wait time. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. We sat indoors. Coffee was served immediately. Hot and fresh. We got the Oreo Cookie Waffle Special and it was delicious! The waffle itself was not a bland chunk of dough, but a yummy flavor and the consistency was perfect. We also got the Dulce De Leche Stuffed French Toast which was divine. I highly recommend. Especially for families or those wanting a large selection of menu options.
Great breakfast place for traditional eggs, bacon, and pancakes fare. Family run. Lots of seating inside and outside. Popular place. Had coffee on the table immediately. They do charge for using a credit card... but many, many restaurants and stores are doing the same, so it is not unusual anymore.. and in reality, most of us get some perks from our credit card company. They are very upfront about it, so no surprise, and they do have an ATM if you prefer that.
A great breakfast place choice for Montauk Point. Price and service and ambiance was very nice as compared to another breakfast location we tried the day before. This place was also busy but was very accommodating with the churn of the guests without much of a wait if at all. The place was clean and roomy and looked to be updated. I would come here again!
I had the gluten free waffle, and holy smokes. Blew. My. Mind. It’s corn, and it’s the best gluten free waffle (breakfast, really) I’ve had in my life. Server was attentive and sweet - made sure we had the exact items we needed given other dietary restrictions too. We came on a rainy day and there was no wait. It was super cozy and we didn’t feel rushed at all.
When in Montauk, definitely try a pancake house. Reservations not taken at this restaurant so there will be a wait time. This place takes only cash and also credit card but there is extra fees so we recommend paying in cash. Service was fast and the waiter was friendly. Plenty of food and beverage choices. Good quick place to grab breakfast before heading out for the day. Plenty of space for small gatherings, on your own, or a big family sit down.
I came here yesterday for breakfast. This place looked a lot more modern than their competition across the street. They don't have a real extensive menu and it is cash only. The pancakes I ordered were delicious and my scrambled eggs came out perfect. The service here is fast and the waitstaff is friendly. I will definitely come back again the next time I am in the area.
A small wait, if you come after 11:00am you will wait a little longer. The food was amazing. The fluffy pancakes weren't so fluffy but they were good. Crepes with berries and bananas were also good. A small place with great food, but the service was OK(maybe it was just our waitress). I still give this place a 5 start.
Friendliest staff around! We stumbled upon this place by accident when we found that most of the surrounding restaurants were doing take-out only (although they all said dine-in was available on Google maps). Our party of three had French toast, a BLT w/ avocado, a 2-egg breakfast w/ bacon & toast, 2 orders of fries and a coffee for approx $45. All of our food was hot, fresh and good! Our waiter and waitress were very attentive and kind, and the restaurant was very clean. All of the patrons appeared to be as happy with their experience as we were. Restrooms were closed.
Breakfast was good. They didn't even return to see if you wanted more coffee. Better have cash for tip.
Great place for breakfast. Terrific French toast, pancakes. Pricey with some sides added.
Food was good, service was great, establishment was clean and chill. Had a good brunch, felt a bit pricy for brunch.
This is why we love Montauk! Good breakfast menu. Expensive? Not considering location and the quality of meal and super clean interior. The bathroom was spotless! Both Johns and here had excessive wait times, 45min. A minor criticism is that the staff were all business, no conversation skills, like everyone there! That was weird. Still, recommended.
Food was very good. The eggs Benedict was pretty spectacular. Mozzarella sticks were not up to temperature and cheese in the center was cool. Staff was friendly but not super attentive with refills.
This pancake house offers bright sunny cafe, nice servers, good food... However, they're dishes are more simple and straight forward (less exciting) than the other pancake house on the block. Also, portions were smaller, but prices were about the same.
Definitely a must try if you're in the area and are looking for a delicious breakfast. We came here twice for breakfast and both times left happy. Our server was sweet and courteous. This place is immaculate and offers great menu options. I recommend the pancakes, turkey bacon, yogurt bowl, and home fries. I'm not crazy about home fries or potatoes in general but wow, the home fries were the best I've ever had!! I didn't give it 5 stars because although the cheese omelette we ordered was tasty, it was a tiny omelette. Looked like a kid's portion. Other than that, everything else was delicious and was much enjoyed.
Extremely packed in the mornings but worth the wait. Extensive menu (especially compared to other places in MTK) and everything on it is done very well. They only accept cash tip or venmo but don’t tell you that up front so be mindful to have cash on you. Highly recommend the fresh squeezed orange juice.
Everything you want from a diner: clean, fast and basically delicious. Crepes were a big hit and everything was great. Note: Tips only accepted in cash, so you can put the meal on your card but make sure to have cash for the great waitstaff.
My experience at the pancake house was a bit mixed. While the menu had a variety of options, I was disappointed by the slow service that seemed to affect the overall enjoyment of the meal. Additionally, I found the prices to be on the higher side for what was offered. Despite these drawbacks, the pancakes themselves were quite tasty, which somewhat balanced out the experience.
Pumpkin pancakes were good but not great (a little mushy). Husband's regular pancakes were delicious. Expensive though - two orders of pancakes, two sides of bacon and two coffees was $37! Too much for a very simple (okay) breakfast. Would try a different place next time we are in town.
Avocado toast made by someone who had an idea of what it should be but has never actually eaten it. It looked so sad. I felt sorry for the toast.
Nice place except that the omelet was brown, flat, and lifeless. The scrambled eggs were also awful. Hopefully rest of menu is better.
I ordered the Salmon Benedict for $18.95. The food tasted good but it came out without any sides whatsoever. At that price point, I should at least get potatoes. Yes, the restaurant was packed but the server never came to check on us. I had to find and retrieve my own napkins. Nevertheless, we'll come back next year.
hopping summer scene for pancakes & french toast - especially summer weekends. freshly redesigned inside, this restaurant has a trendy vibe while still maintaining a family/diner feeling while visiting. peanut butter stuffed french toast was a bit plain, so no raving about the food in particular, bit still a perfectly fine pick if someone in your group is hankering for a stack.
The food was a miss. The eggs were overcooked and the pancakes were not fluffy. The service was good and staff was attentive.
The sign says no dogs allowed inside but I had to start to go in to get a table outside (for myself and my dog). They asked if my dog wanted water and I said sure. They had a nice dog bowl (elevated stand) but the water looked dirty (my dog didn’t drink it). The pancakes fruit and bacon were good. I didn’t like the hash browns potatoes. The service was very good . I liked the breakfast at John’s pancake house better and it cost less.
I visited Anthony’s Pancakes in Montauk and the food was good, but I was very disappointed with one thing: I was charged the same price for a small cup of hot water as for a coffee — over $4 plus tax. This was the first time I’ve ever experienced something like that, and honestly it felt unreasonable. I can understand charging for coffee, tea, or other beverages, but hot water should not be the same price as coffee. It left a negative impression despite the good food.
Loved the food here but absolutely furious that they wouldn’t allow my friend (a vegetarian) to replace the meat in the pancakes combo with homefries or fruit. They then even put the meat on the same plate when she told them that!! Potatoes are cheaper than meat, no? Not sure why this was an issue and we had to pay for a separate plate of home fries. Very unaccommodating
The highlight was the french toast, definitely recommend. Pancakes were average, the syrup was helped. Drinks tasted too watered down. Customer service was extremely poor, it didn't feel welcoming at this establishment despite visiting on a Sunday morning. Decor was done well. For parties with 6 or more people, you will be charged 20% gratuity. May return to give it a second chance, but as of yet, nothing extraordinary or remarkable.
A place I've gone to for years every time I visit Montauk and has slowly settled into just being a tourist trap that doesn't care about quality or service. Waiter was not attentive with a rude tone who couldn't be bothered to even give us a glass of water. (in contrast the bus boy was very nice) The "fluffiest pancakes" have turned into flat discs that resemble eggo frozen pancakes. Eggs and omelets were good so if your going stick with the egg menu. For the price they charge i expected more.
I ordered the $18 açaí bowl and was disappointed with the experience. It arrived too frozen to eat, and when they warmed it up in the microwave, they didn’t remove the fruit—so I ended up with warm strawberries on my bowl. For the price, I was expecting a much larger portion, though I suppose I should’ve expected that in Montauk. The server was decent, but never came by to refill our water, which is a personal pet peeve since I drink a lot during meals. On the positive side, the atmosphere was lovely—clean, bright, and clearly recently renovated.
Food was very good the crepes with fruit had rotten fruit and they charge $4 for a cup of hot water other than that the eggs and sausage and pancakes were good but they all greedy
Good food, but their prices are too high. I'm very disappointed that I couldn't pay with credit card and that they added a tip to my bill. I would like to decide about the amount of gratuity. Also I could not finish my coffee, because a waiter said that other people are waiting and I need to go...
The presentation of the food was okay -looked fresh at least, however, for the price of the food it is extremely underwhelming. I ordered a salad that was $20 and all it had was some spring mix, sliced onion, and 3 slices of tomato, with some plain unseasoned chicken… the fries were probably the only tasty thing we got. Service was okay, not super friendly but not rude. They charge extra if you pay with card and you have to venmo or use cash only to tip
Wouldn't waste my money. Tried spending local until we were robbed. 10$ for an egg sandwich. And 4.50 for a frozen bagel and cream cheese. Staff lounging around. One waitresses son stretching across counter seats. Seemed nice enough until the bill arrived. Cashier reviewed the bill then straight out told us " well, we're only open for a short period of time and need to make our money". Great way to promote your business. I understand it's a tourist trap but that's insane. Lex ave doesn't even charge that amount
Chef was very unprofessional and rude. I stoped by with 3 of my friends. After checking the menu and asking yhe server if there were any VEGAN options. (no vegan options) I wanted to allow my non vegan friends to enjoy their breakfast and so I walk across the street to a coffee house that offered great vegan options (wrap and matcha). I returned to join my friend and instead of him coming over to the table or send the server. He yield from the kitchen "ma'am no outside food". Which I get it but he could have been more courteous because there were quite a few people in the restaurant. Customer apologized (because they thought that was rude) and the server was very professional he came over to my friends and apologize after I left. Howevet, My outdoor cafe was a better atmosphere so I'm not mad at returning there to eat.
My breakfast didn’t come with potatoes, prices were not good especially with the portion size. Place is fairly clean but very disappointed and would never return. I would not recommend this place. Very small portions, mediocre food at best and I want my potatoes! Super sad and left hungry
Informed the receptionist that id like to dine on the recently vacated table outside that seats 1-2 and he confirmed. I sat next to it on the bench immediately adjacent to the table only to have the table given away to two diners who were already seated and served as soon as the waiter finished cleaning that table for me. Place is lame. I saw their breakfast platters of sausage and eggs and their pancakes and it’s all very basic. Nothing particularly unique or valuable here, especially customer dignity. Lost a customer and got a 1 star review for your disregard. Now you’re rated no different than the pancake house literally across the street. Enjoy that.
Worst place ever!! Waitresses have the worst attitudes and the food is awful. McDonald’s is 5 star meal compared to the overpriced slop there. We had items taken off the check due to horrible quality of food. When I asked for lettuce and tomato for my burger, I was told I had to get the $13 deluxe meal that came with cheese. When I asked to have the cheese removed, the waitress was horribly nasty. Restaurant it’s self is filthy. Dine at you’re own risk.
My partner and I visited this restaurant earlier today, excited for a nice meal. He ordered a burger while I chose a Greek salad and French fries. Unfortunately, I found the salad to be unfresh and not up to standard, so I returned it and decided to stick with just the fries. Regrettably, my partner was also dissatisfied with his burger but chose not to voice his concerns since we had already returned my salad. Fast forward just a few hours, and we are now feeling unwell in our hotel, experiencing nausea and vomiting. Our mini vacation has been completely ruined.
Overrated and overpriced. The quesadilla was basic and we were charged $5 extra for a spoonful of diced onions & tomatoes and this extra wasn’t mentioned by the server. The so called ‘famous’ pancakes were served in pieces not a whole rounded piece, I make better pancakes at home…
Terrible breakfast. French toast was wonder bread dipped in egg mix and cinnamon. Not sure how this is called a pancake house considering they were dry, lacking flavor, and tasted like a store mix. Our service was good and so was the coffee, but everything else was disgraceful.
Beware! No credit tip on the credit cards and then they wack you on there own ATM for a cash tip. $16 for eggs Benedict with no sides or potatoes. Side of bacon, you get 3 strips. Full rip off, I'll stick with John's pancake house or the bakery! Food was good and service but the rest no thanks.
