Buy one get one for grand opening. I don’t know if the total wait time of 50 mins is worth it for a free sugary drink but I did it. I’m sure they are slammed with the crowds since the lines are long so a little patience for these folks while they figure out how to steam line the crowds and orders. Tip: give them alphabet and number of the drink instead of drink name when ordering . For example “D5” or “S1” .. instead of “passion fruit mango tea” because I think that’s easier for them to input into the iPad for a quicker order. The boba tea cream puff drink is so yummy and interesting. Seems like a top seller. Worth a try . I am picky with my boba, being Taiwanese myself. I will come back! Hopefully lines arent an hour long when I do.

I went today and tried the avocado matcha. It was really good and tasty. The workers were really nice and recommended me the waffle and salted cheese. The place was really cool with cool paints on the wall. Definitely recommended and would come back

Found this awesome place in a shopping center, on my way to the dog park. The bubble waffle was delicious with the puff cream. And the boba was so good. Definitely a save to repeat.

It is a great place and I love the fact they you can taste the milk and tea clearly their waffles are awesome and I heard they have a deal 3/4-3/8 which is a buy two get one free.

This is definitely the best Happy Lemon location I have been to. The staff is attentive and works hard to get each order right. There are a variety of drink options and many are customizable (type of sugar, sugar level, and ice level/hot).

I've been going to this location frequently, and the staff are always so friendly! My recent go-to drink has been the Strawberry Green Tea with Salted Cheese (no sugar, regular ice). I swear by it, it's literally the best drink ever (:

I love this Location of Happy Lemon of Richmond! There was a anniversary celebration of, "Buy 2 Get 1 Free" Which was totally exciting for me! Once i stepped inside the shop, i got greeted immediately by the cashier, and place an order of Mango Matcha and the Mango green tea with boba with matcha waffles! And i gotta tell you, it was worth the wait, the mango matcha's matcha flavor was subtle and bitter but the sweetness of the mango helps handle the bitterness making this combination really good! The mango green tea has a big green tea flavor and scent but the sweetness of the mango boba helps balance the tea flavor making it enjoyable! The matcha waffle had a good matcha flavor in it and was crispy and crunchy! I recommend you to add the puff cream with it because the combination was a life changer! Overall, finding parking space was pretty easy and they made the drinks and food pretty darn fast! I will be back again soon! :)

Ordered the ube milk tea with Taro puff cream and boba. The drink has a creamy taste to it thanks to the Taro puff cream and is enjoyable! The staff here is helpful and the service is good!

The best boba place in El Cerrito. The drinks are solid if you're craving milk teas, slushies and egg waffles. Their egg waffles are always made fresh, so be prepared to wait a little bit. They can get pretty busy, so sometimes I order on their app 20mins in advance to save time. ** Please keep in mind I drink boba typically NO sugar ** -Mango Lemon Slushies: cannot adjust the sugar level, overall not overwhelmingly sweet but would be better if it was a tad bit less sweet. Very tart, great for a hot day. -Green Tea Yakult: if you get 0% sugar - its really bland, so get less sugar or 25%. Decent for boba shop. -Salted Cheese Black Milk Tea: 0% sugar, less ice, the salted cheese has a little bit of salty and sweet, so it balances the sugarless milk tea. It's a little heavy though, so hard to drink after a big meal. -Fresh lemon black/green tea: better with at least 50% sugar and be sure to drink it within 1-2hr. After 2hr the lemon will make the drink really bitter. -Egg waffles: original is always better than chocolate. Chocolate is not chocolatey enough.

Some good menu items that are only exclusive to this location like the Avocado Matcha smoothie. Wouldn't recommend the boba tho because why pay a dollar for boba that is overcooked and doesn't have taste. Not sure if the problem is that they don't cook enough boba and therefore always have to rush cooking which doesn't allow the boba to soak up enough sweetness in the sugar syrup.

Decent to good boba depending on the day, kinda disappointed my last 3 visits since the boba is either overcooked or literally just tastes like nothing. Please improve your boba since there's no reason for quality to go down despite topping prices going up‼️‼️ Used to be 0.65 only then proceeded to increase to 0.75 but is now a whole dollar. Shameful since no-good boba will negatively impact taste and overall quality of drinks.

Awful happy lemon franchise. Unhygienic with flies in the store, took 24 minutes to receive my drinks with only 4 orders in front of me, drinks watered down compared to other locations. They just don't know what they're doing here, go to Berkeley instead.
