Amazingly delicious food and great customer service! The food variety is great! There is something for anyone. They have healthy options, vegetarian options, different kabob appetizer and stew. I absolutely loved the persian tea at the end. It was the first time trying and will go back again!

Came here on a Sunday afternoon and really enjoyed it! Really good prices for the amount of food they give. Probably some of the best gyro wraps I've had! Good: Really fast service - and a good outdoor dining patio - I loved the chicken gyro wrap that I ordered - it was just super unique and the crispiness was just right as well. I loved that it also came with fries- they were extremely tasty fries. The falafel appetizer was also really tasty and was a big portion size. The sauces that came with the dish were also extremely yummy, especially the garlic yogurt! Bad: The sun gets pretty intense in the outdoor seating so make sure to bring a hat! Otherwise, I really enjoyed my experience at Caspian and would come again!

Caspian Cuisine in Mountain View is a fantastic spot for authentic Persian food. Everything is fresh, flavorful, and well prepared, with generous portions and friendly service. The warm atmosphere and high quality make it a place I’m happy to return to. Highly recommended!

Really delicious Mediterranean joint offering up big portions at reasonable prices with a upscale interior but only casual dress is required. Perfect for a date night or a family celebration. Amazing food for any occasion. Ordered some fresh hot Greek dolmas to start and was greeted with lovely soft grape leaves and the warm filling was very flavorful. Then the free pita sampler was brought over which was lovely. Soft pita and flavorful fresh hummus along with some other spreads. For the main entrees, ordered a lamb and chicken combo and a salmon kabob. Really nice char although the lamb and chicken were just a touch dry but acceptable given the char and open flame cooking when they don’t contain a lot of fat internally. The salmon which contains quite a bit of internal fat was amazing with the open fire char melting some of the internal fats creating a delicious and luscious texture. The salad and rice on the side were both fantastic as well. Service is quick and friendly. Prices are definitely on the higher side but they’re still offering a promotional 10% off on yelp which helps.

Beautiful restaurant with awesome food and fantastic service! Their beef kababs are amazing and the serving plates are regal! Truly a royal experience, their manager is extremely sweet, hospitable and warm! One of our favorite Mediterranean restaurants here in the bay!

I was traveling from seattle and came here after landing. I was greeted with a smile and shown to my table. The server brought complimentary hummus which was amazing. I order chicken and beef plate which was served within 5 minutes and was fresh and steaming hot. The meat was cooked to perfection and the serving size could suffice for two people. I was ravishing and even then I couldn't finish all of it. Great experienced in hospitality, service and quality of food.

My husband and I have ordered takeout from Caspian many times, but today was our first time dining in. The staff was friendly and greeted us right away, the service was quick, and the food was amazing! We ordered the dolma, ground chicken kebab, and beef kebab—everything was delicious. Coming into the space we were greeted with a big smile from the hostess and some very nice background music that was coming from the bar area. As we sat down we were handed menus and our server came to greet us and asked us if we had any questions and if this was our first time at the restaurant. We definitely said yes and he gave different recommendations based on what were the most popular dishes. As we were catching up we totally lost track of time and the waiter came back to us a few minutes later and asked if we were ready to order, we were not. And we really appreciate it that he said it with a smile and was like no worries I'll come back take your time. So when we finally decided to order we got the sampler of the hummus, my friend got the mixed meat kabobs plate, and I got the special which was the lamb shank. Let's start off with the hummus the three trios that we got the original was definitely our favorite followed by the mint and then lastly the one that was a little bit more sweet can't remember the name of that one but again the traditional hummus so so so good. The plates themselves were breathtaking as you can see in the pictures that I tagged along with this review. They were huge ample serving of rice protein and even the veggie on the side. Of course neither of us could finish the meal because of the amount of food that was on there and we were not sad about that because we knew you would have a delicious meal to have later on or as a snack LOL. Overall definitely enjoyed our experience, the food, and the soft ambiance in the restaurant. I do plan to go back when I'm in the San Jose Santa Clara area because I definitely want to take other friends here.

The BEST PERSIAN RESTAURANT in bay area, hands down! I have tried almost all the Persian restaurants in the bay area, and Caspian is definitely most delicious. I tried koobideh, Jooje and Tahdig with ghorme/gheime combo and all were amazing.

10/2/2024 Caspian Restaurant 1910 W El Camino Real Mountain View, CA 94040 Went here as a single for a mid-afternoon meal on a Wed. It's in a dying plaza with lots of parking. The interior is a contemporary table and chair setup and clean. I was the only one there at 3 PM. I ordered the beef koobideh, which also had a nice pita, hummus and tzatziki board accompaniment. The kabob was medium well, juicy and spiced to perfection. The rice, tomatoes, salad and pickles were a good match. The quantity was generous and I took about half home for another meal. Great value and flavor, maybe order medium rare next time. Definite repeat.

Stopped in this place by chance. Water pitcher provided at the table and small starter plate was also given of pita bread and two dips. I ordered their appetizer sampler platter to try a bit of everything. All items were tasty and fresh. Presentation was superb. My only disappointment was when I asked my server for a to go box for my leftovers she took my food away. I had already paid and had thought she must have been boxing my food for me. When she came back and asked if I needed anything else I told her I was just waiting for the rest of my food to take with me. She made a confused look and went back to the kitchen and just left me sitting there like an idiot for quite awhile. If she had misunderstood when I had asked for a box to go and had tossed my leftover food that's okay, I'm understanding, but she could have just apologized and explained instead of making me uncomfortable like I had did something wrong. I ended up just getting up and leaving since no one wanted to address me on the issue. Aside from that mishap, the ambiance was nice as well as the employees. I would recommend this place for two or more people, they seemed kind of confused that I was dining alone but I guess they might not get many single diners here. All in all, I would try again and would recommend giving it a try. Hoping to try an entree next time as they looked really delicious from what I could see at other tables.

5:30 on a Friday and the place was empty. Relaxing well decorated dining area with spa calming type of music in the background. Complimentary warm pita and humus was tasty. Ordered chicken and beef plate. The meats were tasty but the salad greens and rice were bland. Had to add salt and pepper to the rice to give it some kind of taste.

This place was recommended by a Persian friend of mine who is a foodie and I used to be a chef. Hands down they had the juiciest koobideh I’ve tried in the area - could add a tiny bit more salt though, but it wasn’t a problem. You should fix everything with a heaping dash of sumac anyway, for tartness instead of salt. The gheimeh also had real potato’s not the crispy fried chips you find elsewhere. The saffron ice cream was delicious and sprinkled with pistachios - nice touch as many Persian restaurants at this price point don’t add details like that. They have details that you know you’re getting your money’s worth - like the platters they serve the food in, extra large portions, a shirazi salad with herbs and chopped finely and evenly - not just rough chopped(that actually does matter!), the bread platter served at the beginning of our meal, sabzi khordan too if you ask for it, glassware and flatware that are more high-end for the prices they charge. Service was great, although our server did take my plate away before I was done eating without asking me if I was finished. It seemed rushed and the restaurant wasn’t busy during that time, so I didn’t understand the rush. Other than that, the experience was wonderful and the staff was extra friendly and informative of all the questions I had about how the food was prepared.

Falafel salad and the garlic yogurt. The yogurt was thick, creamy, and savory. Excellent and recommended. The cucumber and tomato salad was also good with a slightly acidic dressing. The falafels in my salad are made from scratch and pretty good, but the salad dressing tasted like supermarket Italian, not my favorite. Service was beyond amazing, so much so that I gave them back the 🌟 for the salad.

My experience eating in caspian was very good for most part , I think koobideh was really tasty and flavorful but I personally didn’t like their yogurt with shallots and wouldn’t try that again , restaurant was really clean and service was excellent.

The food is perfect. I believe its the best Koobideh kabab you can have in the whole Bay Area. So why just 3 stars? It’s because of the 2 times experience we had in the weekends with Caspian. They are under-staffed so it takes a long time for them to come and take our orders. By “long time” I mean about 45 minutes to 1 hour. If you are more than 4 people, there are only 2 tables inside that can have more than 4 people and if they are full you will have to sit outside. And the problem with the outside is that they don’t have those big umbrellas so you should have to have a lot of sun in your eyes and in the summer its too hot. Overall we love Caspian’s food but if want to choose an Iranian restaurant in weekend we will not choose Caspian anymore.

2 of us stopped by here for dinner on Tuesday. We ordered the Tahdeeq appetizer only to be surprised that it came with one of the Stew dishes! They served it with Gormeh Sabzi. It appears Geymeh was on strike had not shown up. For main course, I order Chicken Kabob Salad and my buddie ordered Barg with Greek Salad! We were not offered any options on Salad Dressing. BOTH the Greek Salad and my salad came with the Red Dressing. The Kabobs were bland in flavor and a bit uninsprining. But the staff are very sweet and friendly.

It appeared that staff closely watched how much customers tipped, which created an unpleasant and pressured atmosphere. This focus on tipping, rather than on food quality and customer experience, was disappointing. At the time of our visit, the restaurant was not very busy, with only a few tables occupied. This made the emphasis on tipping feel even more noticeable, while the quality of the food itself did not meet expectations. I hope you will take this feedback seriously and consider reviewing your pricing, portion sizes, food quality, and tipping culture so customers can feel they are receiving fair value and a comfortable dining experience.

Updated—— recently I went back to Caspian, it looks like it was a change in chef and management. The food was awful and super expensive. J was shocked, since it was a great restaurant before. But now I will never go back. Delicious food, absolutely fresh and healthy. 🍃 For my Persian friends, here has the best Ghormesambizi in the bay. ✨

I will never be coming here again—this was my first and last visit. This place feels like a complete scam!!! I ordered a Zereshk Polo, a Chicken Kebab with bones, a shallot yogurt, and two sodas. My husband picked up the order, and when he got home, we realized the two sodas were missing and they didn’t give us the Zereshk Polo. Instead, they gave us two Chicken Kebab with bones plates. On top of that, the menu clearly states the chicken kebab plate comes with 2 skewers but they only gave us 1 skewer in each plate. To make matters worse, the food that did arrive tasted mediocre at best. And by the time we discovered all the mistakes, the restaurant was already closed, so we couldn’t even go back to fix the order. The order was so expensive as well. All the food we ordered would’ve costed $60 in LA but at this restaurant, they charged us $91. This level of service is unacceptable. I am extremely disappointed, and if I could give this place zero stars, I absolutely would.

On top of that, the menu clearly states the chicken kebab plate comes with 2 skewers but they only gave us 1 skewer in each plate. To make matters worse, the food that did arrive tasted mediocre at best. And by the time we discovered all the mistakes, the restaurant was already closed, so we couldn’t even go back to fix the order. The order was so expensive as well. All the food we ordered would’ve costed $60 in LA but at this restaurant, they charged us $91. This level of service is unacceptable. I am extremely disappointed, and if I could give this place zero stars, I absolutely would.
