We like Pakistani food. This place serves great dishes. Approximately 6 months ago I got sick consuming this places food. Very upset and runny stomach for days. That night was really bad but slowly I got better. Yesterday I thought I give them another chance. This time avoiding fresh vegetables. First bite of my food and there was a big piece of egg shell in it. Ok perhaps it’s there accidentally. Second bite and bigger piece of egg shell. Losing my appetite the waiter offered to replace it. I've been here before and each time I come they’re always very busy! It looks like they recently did some rearranging in the restaurant. Or maybe they renovated? Something looks different. Inside there are not many tables maybe like 5 or 6? There are outside seating but not good when raining like the last time I went. I’d say it’s best to order your food to go. This is great great Pakistani food! Love all the curry flavors. And I love that you can get the chai tea up front any time you want. It’s always not and hot. The employees are always very nice, always smiling and friendly. Depending if they’re busy, your food can take up to 10-15 minutes to come. But I’d say it’s worth it.

Zareen’s in Mountain View lands at about 3 out of 5 for me. The food was good but nothing particularly memorable. The samosa was decent and ended up being my favorite item. This location is takeout only with no bathrooms or tables, which makes the experience a bit inconvenient if you plan to eat nearby. Overall it felt a little overhyped for what you get, though the flavors were fine.

I was in the area a needed something quick. I didn't realize until I got there that Zareens is now take away only. There's plenty of seating near the parking lot. I ordered the Punjab Chicken Burger. The flavor was good but the patty seemed to be a premade, frozen patty. The flavor was just sauce, the patty was boring. Maybe I ordered the wrong item. There were a lot of patrons so it might have better options. I'm willing to try again.

This was a small take out spot . We found some seating outside . I heard a lot of good reviews about this place from word of mouth. So I was were excited to try ! Ordered palak paneer , samosas , biryani and chicken tikka masala . I think everything was mediocre but the samosas were bomb ! I would not order the palak paneer again . The chicken tikka masala was decent and biryani okay . Service was good and food didn’t take that long to come out though . I don’t recommend the thali .

Visited after 4-5 years and everything is changed. They used to have indoor seating with nice painted walls and now they just serve pickup orders. Food was okay and not like it used to be. Missing the experience to dine in. The chicken boti sizzler and shami kabab were good.

No seating, slightly long wait times but decent food. Would recommend coming here only if you order beforehand for a quick pickup and the California Avenue location if you want to sit down. Food-wise it tastes pretty much the same across the locations.

Surprised that it's just a to go place; You order, you pick up and you have the option of eating outside on uncomfortable chairs at mismatched and dirty tables. Not too impressive if you invited someone for lunch! Different from most of the online pictures. Other than that, the food was OK, spicy for me. Chicken Masala was good. We didn't like the special-recipe samosas. The bread was served in a closed paper bag and must have been bagged a while back, taste was ok but it was moochy. Not sure we will be back.

First visit after hearing so many things and what a chaotic experience it was. Firstly there was a line outside, no place to sit, to order have to do at the counter with not much time to decide people waiting right behind. If you are looking for a chilled out relaxed experience this is not the place. Indoor was kind of smoky by the time food came I was already feeling satiated with the strong food smell. They do not have Biryani in any form, that’s a big downside. Food is modernized version and not the authentic Indian/Pakistani, this is exactly similar to Curry up now from what I ordered. Not something like Shalimar or Pakwan. Wondering what all this fuss about. They have outdoor and indoor seating. Street parking available.

Food was mediocre. Naan was the worst I've ever had at a restaurant, way too thick and tough. Our stomachs were feeling rather unwell afterwards. Went at 7pm on a Saturday. They were servicing quite the volume of delivery orders. The service was relatively quick though.

The food was the worst food I have ever eaten- prepared using premade sauces, undercooked and somewhat stale. The Naans were too thick with no garlic on the garlic naan. The service was quick but the food was more like fast food - plain and tasteless.

The one star review is because when you order curry and do not pay attention that rice is paid additionally and separately, then u will have to eat the curry like a soup. Extremely disappointing looking at the prices! Never seen a curry dish that doesnt come with rice anywhere ever.

I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but this experience was truly disappointing. The food was barely edible — served cold, dripping with grease, and tasted like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. The chicken was bone-dry, the vegetables were a soggy mess, and everything was overwhelmingly salty to the point of being inedible. You can tell Naan wasn’t fresh old microwave. To make matters worse, the cleanliness of the restaurant was seriously lacking. Our table was sticky, the floor looked like it hadn’t been cleaned all day, and I didn’t see a single staff member wipe down any surfaces the entire time we were there. By the end of the meal, I felt more nauseous than satisfied. Between the bad food and poor hygiene, I can confidently say I won’t be returning — and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone else either.
