Great addition to Murphy! The restaurant is clean, lively, and the staff is welcoming. I’m obsessed with the bowls! They’re flavorful! The chips and queso are also a standout. Excited to have this place in the neighborhood!

First time trying torchys we decided to sit at the bar and the bartender Bo was amazing. We will definitely be coming back for the awesome service, drinks, and food.

I had the Trailer Part taco. Everything about it was great. The size was good for me. One taco was enough. Also had the green chile cado. Very yummy. Bo and Adam were great. Good service. They explained everything. I will be back

I had my mommy brunch here when they opened. What a fun group of people. Even with the stress of opening crowd rushes ect. Everyone just smiled and made light of everything. The mascot kept us entertained and gave me plenty grief for being late. Ha. Great experience, fantastic food, and genuinely good people. We will be back for sure.

It was my first time at Torchy's. Pretty solid spot for some good eats and good vibes. We got a grander burrito, chips/queso, and the big tipsy bowl. All were really good. The bowl was really packed with flavor for each bite. Solid macros as well. The queso was definitely the winner. Diablo sauce was great, and it wasn't too spicy. I walked into Torchy’s just trying to get some damn good tacos and maybe a little queso to soothe my soul. What I got instead was a full-blown queso-fueled showdown. Some guy in a flamingo shirt was arguing with the cashier about whether the Trailer Park taco should be “trashy” by default. Suddenly, he flips a table, queso flies like confetti, and the cashier—cool as a cucumber—dodges the splash, grabs a Diablo sauce packet, and slaps it onto the guy’s forehead like a blessing. The whole restaurant goes silent. Then the cashier says, “You come for tacos. You stay for the reckoning.” I blinked twice, unsure if I’d just witnessed a spiritual awakening or a food fight. Then he turns to me, hands me my order, and says, “Here you go, boss. Damn good tacos. Damn good drama.” I took one bite of the Brushfire taco and ascended. The queso? Liquid gold. The vibe? Unhinged in the best way. Will I return? Absolutely. I might even wear a flamingo shirt next time just to see what happens.

We love Torchy's--SO happy to see the Murphy store open (close to home)! Food is great, prices are reasonable, and service is AWESOME! Kaylee greeted us, made us feel welcome, answered questions regarding the menu, then took our order with no issues. She's great!

I met a girlfriend with our kids for dinner at the new Torchy’s in Murphy. Everything was delicious, and they even have some new menu items! The staff was so friendly and helpful. I love Torchy’s because it’s casual and kid friendly, but you can also have a delicious margarita. We didn’t do the drive-thru this visit, but how cool that they have one so on a busy night we can swing by for an easy dinner. So glad for this new spot!!

I received excellent service at this torchy’s establishment!! I was so pleasantly surprised by the kind nature in which the employees treated me with. When I picked up my food, this employee named Siyah was so kind and helpful. She helped me figure out which taco I would like the best and what sauces to go with it, with a positive attitude! This was a pickup order.. Have ordered from here at least once a week since they opened.. I like their food! Last weekend 11/1 about 5pmish, I ordered and they shorted me a taco. When I returned , they readily got me me the shorted taco. But to my surprise they offered me an order of chips and queso for my trouble. Most places would not do this -- unless you complain. They have earned a consistent future customer.

We already knew that the food was good, but then recently when they messed up our order (which by the way was totally understandable because it was a completely crazy lunch rush), The manager personally went out of his way to make sure that not only where we refunded, but that Our order was fixed immediately. 100 out of 10 service, would definitely recommend!

Ahhhh torchy's!! This place is on it. The place was consistently cleaned and the staff was perfectly courteous. The food great as always and the Horchata.....oh the Horchata and cold brew...keep them please! Don't give up on those machines!!!

Their tacos are always great. I haven't tried all of them but will keep going back to try them all. Their patio is nice if you have a dog.

I went here today for the first time for to go. The atmosphere was overall clean and well furnished the only reason I gave four stars for atmosphere was just a personal preference. But the service was really nice. The one taking our order Kelly (hope I’m spelling it right) was friendly and upbeat and answered any questions about the food. Th food was also good. Definitely coming here again.

First time at Torchy’s and will be back many more times for sure. The barbacoa tocos, queso and churro were all amazing but what put the experience over the top was the service of the manager Chelsea who went above and beyond to make sure everything was to our liking.

This is the grand opening week for this location. The first day they opened the line was out the door. The tacos are great and so is the Hillbilly Queso as was the Sangria Swirl Margarita. We both tried the new taco of the month, the Bottle Rocket Shrimp. It was fantastic! I hope they keep the candied jalapenos as an option for other menu items. They were an awesome addition!

I always opt to sit at either the high top tables or the bar to get full-service from the bartender(s). When I see Bo working, there is no doubt I’ll be taken care of. He’s the tall, white guy that’s usually wearing a Torchy’s hat. I’ve visited multiple times already since it’s opening, and no menu item has been a disappointment yet. My absolute favorite so far is the Republican (brisket) followed by Mr. Orange (salmon). If you’d rather not be bothered and just self-serve, then I suggest ordering at the register, grab your number, and take a seat. You can get the best of both worlds.

I've only eaten at a Torchy's Tacos once, a long time ago in San Marcos. Our first visit to the new Torchy's near us here in Murphy today was worthy of a 5-Star! I’m new to this area and have been to other Torchy Tacos so thought I would give it a try. Wow, it’s the best Torchy Tacos of all time 🥳 The manager Adam saw me looking like the new kid and came over to greet me. What a great feeling that gave me. Found me the one spot open at the bar and told me Bo would take care of me. The service was fabulous and Bo makes the best Skinny Margarita ever. Food was perfect and it was a truly awesome experience start to finish. I will be back frequently 👍

I was so excited for this location to open and it did NOT disappoint. The food was excellent and if you haven't tried any of their bowls, you have to try them out. Our food came out so fast even though it was packed! Atmosphere was great and the staff was so friendly. I have a feeling I will be a regular customer here.

First time at this location (we usually go to the Richardson location) and sat at the bar with Jacob. He was hustling and checking on everyone in his vicinity and still managed to be kind and friendly. The bar was clean and well organized. My family lives nearby and I’ll definitely be back for a margarita with him.

My first experience was this past Saturday but here I am, 3 days later! I enjoy sitting at the bar, enjoying a 1/2 priced HH beverage till 6pm! Let's not forget the tacos! I've had the October taco of the month (Ronin) and recently tried the democrat and republican. You honestly can't go wrong with any of these. I foresee an upcoming trip soon to try a different flavor or possibly a bowl! Don't forget to sign up for their rewards program.

Tacos were pretty tasty but a little overpriced. Stay away from the refried beans as a side. They are quite tasteless. It was pretty busy and it was about as loud as a rock concert inside this place. If you can help it, sit outside if it's busy. The kiosk was a little confusing but it's nice to have the luxury of time when you're indecisive on what you want. I'll probably go back and try different things because the food was pretty good.

Torchy's has become my favorite taco spot. I like the variety of tacos and bowls available. My go to is the Grilled Baja Shrimp on flour tortilla. This one just opened in Murphy and I can tell it is going to be a hit! The chef probably needs to lighten up on the salt. My taco on Saturday was a bit too salty. I will definitely be back!

Lauren our bar tender service was very knowledgeable about all the menu items, including drinks and very professional and friendly. I would suggest a salsa bar or and also offer some smaller burritos like a simple bean burrito. Also, some of the tacos seem like they are worthy of two corn tortillas as there’s a lot of stuff in them.

Been to several different Torchys. This has become my favorite. Had the grilled chicken bowl which was really good. Family liked their tacos. If we had one thing that we don’t like is how Torchys has gone to using tator tots instead of fresh potatoes in their egg and potato taco. Really not good and is a big mistake. For the price it ought to be a little special like their other tacos. Go back to the potatoes not tots.

Torchy's was a staple for us every Saturday morning after swim practice while we were in Austin. Was passing through Dallas and wanted to take the kids back to it. It's exactly the same experience that we were used to. However, now we're a bit older and could do with a little less salt :). The rest is all good!

My first time here during happy hour. I ordered a chicken bowl, a trio sampler, and a sucker punch beverage with Grand Marnier on top. The drink was ok, but watered down with ice. Next time, I will make sure to say light ice. I have never had a drink with such excessive ice.

Food is consistent with the Allen location, yummy, but service not do great. I know it's new, so I'll give them another chance, but when you go to the counter to get sauce and the employee on the other side makes you wait for a good minute to even make eye contact because he's texting on his phone, not good! Actually rude!!

We waited a few weeks so they could work out the kinks. Apparently we didn’t wait long enough. My husband’s barbacoa taco was soggy - you’re supposed to let the meat drain a few seconds before you put it on the taco. Also, the queso - which is our favorite part - was bland and had no flavor. It didn’t even taste like cheese. So whoever made your queso on Saturday the 6th, they need a lesson on how to make it properly, with some zip and flavor to it.

1st using pickup window. Order wasn't ready. Staff told me to drive around and get back in line because there was a line. Good food, but that's just bizarre.

First time at this brand new location. Though crowded, we didn’t have to wait for a table as we chose to sit outside. We ordered at the self-serve kiosk versus at the register. I ordered a burrito and asked to hold the avocado and cilantro. When I got my burrito, what was it loaded with? Avocado and cilantro. The avocado I can live with; the other flavors can help mask the flavor. But cilantro is another story. I’m one of those people who cilantro tastes like soap. I decided to power through, though, because they were so busy, I didn’t want to have to wait in line to return the food then wait some more for a replacement. Normally I like Torchy’s food, but this experience was not great. Cilantro is just such an overwhelming, unpleasant flavor for me that it made the meal not enjoyable. I’ll be back, though. Everything else was good.

Visited Torchy’s for a late lunch when business was slower. We ordered, were given a buzzer and found our table. There wasn’t anyone else waiting for food so I saw the expo employee from the kitchen place a tray down. I thought it might be ours but our buzzer didn’t buzz. The cashier who took our order was standing in the area but she didn’t react so I thought that maybe it wasn’t ours. The manager saw it more than 5 mins after it had been sitting there and realized our buzzer number was not correct on the order. He brought over the chips and queso but left our tacos over there. By the time we got our queso it was warm and our tacos were between cold and warm. While the staff was friendly and the food was good - I think awareness from the team is an area of opportunity. If the cashier would have recognized that the food was ours and we didn’t get up she could have problem solved and saved us from cold food. I would like to assume that food sitting for 5 minutes wouldn’t have a huge temperature impact, but sadly warm queso and cold tortillas on tacos aren’t the most appetizing. On the other hand, as a manager I would have communicated with an apology that our order was sitting and offered to remake it if needed. This won’t stop us from visiting again as we do like Torchy’s, but will check our receipt against the buzzer number in the future.

Dirty tables and floors. Waited over 20 minutes just to eat two cold tacos. Barbacoa was 60% fat gelatin and disgusting cold sticky fat. The cleanliness and quality of food are not worth it.

Visited this place after the initial newness wore down... We were very disappointed with the food for the price you pay. I ordered a taco, Ronin, that was listed as Taco of the week/month...with no explanation of what it was. $6.60 for one Taco on small tortilla. I thought for the price it would be larger. It had some nasty tasting stuff in it. My son ordered a Chicken Fajita taco and he said it was just ok. My wife ordered the Trash Can taco that was nothing special. We did get a small cup of Queso that was very good. They are also very stingy with hot salsa and don't ask if you want Flower or Corn tortilla.. At least we got chips with the queso. I asked my family if they wanted something else and they all said no. We go to Fuzzy's Taco down the street and their Tacos are half the price of these and better IMO.

Bar is small and uninviting. This location is just a glorified fast food restaurant. I live in Garland and will continue to frequent the RICHARDSON location. Friendlier service, tastier food, and way better atmosphere. Murphy should have/could have done much better

Not a pleasant customer service experience at all!!! This was my first time ordering from Torchy’s, I signed up on- line for rewards and received a” free large queso” with any $1 order. When I placed my order the reward would not apply. I called the store and they said I have to wait 24 hours to use the reward… this IS NOT stated online. When I went to the store to pick up I explained this to the cashier and showed her the reward offer,she told me I could buy something and they could redeem it that way!? So after spending $75 online, telling me on the phone it takes 24 hours ( not stated anywhere online) get there in person to be told I can buy more to redeem the reward….. very disappointing and not a good customer service experience at all!!!!

A bit pricey especially for food that was just like taco cabana, the restaurant it replaced. Im fine with the price as I did order a lot to sample the menu. The tacos are just ok - good. There seems to only be a few options. Steak fajitas, salmon and brisket. Everything not steak and fish tasted like brisket. It looked like brisket, even though I did order some chicken. Probably will not go back.

They have terrible customer service. Stood there for 10 minutes while the restaurant was empty and multiple employees saw me and just walked right past me, not one person greeted. Very unwelcoming experience!

Food was ok nothing special but the service was horrible. Some other customers took our appetizer and it was pretty obvious the girl behind the counter knew what happened and that she gave out our order on accident. I went up to the counter cause it said our appetizer was ready she told me it still wasn’t ready yet so I waited and watched her go back and tell the kitchen what happened and when our main entree’s come out I still sit there waiting for our appetizer expecting she’d have it remade but I had to remind her that we still never got it and acted clueless as if she didn’t just give our food away. First and last time visiting that location.

You can’t go wrong with Torchy’s… unless you’re trying to order ahead. An AI will try to take your order and incorrectly select items for you [with an annoying keyboard clicking sound between requests to simulate being human because the response time is abysmal]. Then, if you zero out to get a human, you can share your entire order and they won’t make your food unless you pay at that moment. And if you can’t take out your wallet/card while driving, you can always text-and-drive instead with their text message payment link. Food is good. Staff is good. System is garbage. Note I: I wanted to order before I left, but the online ordering for this location is inactive. Note II: Sadly, when we got home, our order was wrong as well. We ordered 2 Trailer Park Trashy, 2 Crossroads, & 1 Kid's Quesadilla. We paid for 2 Trailer Park Trashy, 1 Crossroads, & 1 Kid's Quesadilla. We received 2 Trailer Park Trashy, 1 Crossroads, & 1 Chicken Fajita. This is somewhat on me because I should've double-checked before we left.

If you're seeking authentic Mexican tacos, this is not the place for you. I ordered four plain tacos, but they were all loaded with the standard toppings. The barbacoa was okay, and the steak was raw and luke warm. I won't be returning.

Order couple of time togo order of worth $50 dollars...things i am concerned about about 1. Full oeder of Quest always comes half cup barley. ($9) 2. With togo tacos order there is no any kind of sauces hot /mild/salsa or any other kind of toppings that goes go over provided saprately. Very sad..this location just opened 2 weeks ago and compare to any other torchys in allen or Richardson location this location is cutting corners already in Togo orders by not serving properly full order! Our location is little far but much better in food and service!

I absolutely love the food, but I cannot recommend ordering delivery. This is the second time I’ve ordered and my food arrived over 2 hours late and of course, completely cold. This isn’t on the driver; it’s clearly a restaurant issue. Great flavors, but the service is extremely disappointing. Very unhappy with the experience.

Ordered food from here through the app, when I arrived at the time I was supposed to pick up 3 workers in the kitchen refused acknowledge me being there. They spent their time looking in my direction and laughing, this carried on for 10 minutes. When I was finally assisted by someone those same worker in addition to some one else from the back of the kitchen continued with the earlier behavior. Not a stellar first impression if you expect me and my family to comeback.

I asked for 4 fajita tacos. Paid $26 dollars!! I was drinking water!! I took 2 bites and it was aweful!! I tried the meat by itself and there was 1 oiece ok and the rest had a horrible taste. I could not eat more. Never again.😔

Foods okay, portions are bad, if you do pick up window make sure you check your food. Service and attitude is awful, food thrown through the window and queso upside down in the bag. 20 minute wait at the window for chips, queso and tortillas ordered in advance through the app. Told to circle building due to a customer being behind me, after circling same customer was redirected to circle behind me, and I was told to wait a further period. Really disappointed at this experience. No stars on atmosphere as non applicable.

Staff and management both very difficult at this Murphy TX location this evening. Placed a phone order and gave detailed instructions on desired selections. Was told for on the side requests that I had to ask upon arrival. Get to location and when I asked for the on the side items, I waited 15 minutes while my food got colder and colder before I was presented with a single sized chopped onion side that "SHOULD be enough for the number of tacos I had". when I asked for the sauces that I wanted I was then presented with 1 small sauce per each taco. Upon asking for 4 each extra (they are tiny) sauces, the worker said I can't have any more than was given. I stated I had never had any push back before at ANY Torchy's location asking for extra sauce and asked to speak to a manager. The worker turned around and asked another worker (highly doubtful a manager) to speak with me who stated they can't provide any more than what was given because some people ask for like 20 extra (which I was not). I asked to speak to his "manager" which may have actually been one but was very curt when I described just wanting a few extra. She said I could buy extra but would not be given any more. I then looked in my bag and saw 6 of the sauce flavors that come with them normally that I said specifically I DID NOT WANT on the phone and said I wanted to trade those for the extra ones in the sauce flavor I did want which she then promptly reached down in my bag of food, grabbed them, went and got the ones I wanted and came back and chunked them in my bag and she said "YOU'RE WELCOME!" very rudely. Meanwhile my food was stone cold by this point 20 minutes later after arriving and speaking to 3 different employees just trying to get what I ordered basically with 4 extra (tiny) sauces. Heads up, food may be ok at this location but the staff and management are rude and unhelpful. Good luck with your experience if you go.

Our kids had been wanting to come to Torch’s to try it out. My six year old wanted to order a beef and cheese taco from the kids menu. Torchy’s said they are only willing to do a chicken and cheese kids taco. We chose to take our business to Casa Mama and Torchy’s said they were fine with that! Kids got what they wanted at Casa Mama and were much happier! Happy 6year old, happy family, 1 star for Torchy’s, 5 for Casa Mama!
