I had an incredible experience at Nektar in New Hope. The food was outstanding, from the truffle ravioli and grilled cheese to the truffle fries and honey tomato bruschetta, every dish was packed with flavor and beautifully presented. The atmosphere is cozy, stylish, and perfect for a night out. A huge shoutout to Adam, who was an amazing server. He was attentive, friendly, and made great recommendations that took our experience to the next level. You can tell he really cares about giving guests a great time. Highly recommend Nektar, can’t wait to come back!
Nektar is such a great spot. Was a great night, able to sit outside and enjoy some great food and wine. The tuna tacos and Wings by far were the favorite but everything was truly wonderful and Brittany was fantastic!
I found out about this wonderful place from the Philadelphia Mead Company's website. This a perfect place for a few drink, good vibes and people watching before or after a leisurely walk in New Hope. As you would expect parking is a bit of a challenge, but do not let that stop you. Pleasant staff and a libations list that is varied and all most a book! This will become a common stop after fall drives along the Delaware. Food was not consumed due to eating earlier. Will definitely partake on our next stop.
Nectar is quite the gem of a find. Huge assortment of wines and cocktails along with many small plate (quality) dishes. Very Mediterranean with the food choices with some unique items. The Petnat and Pinot Noir wine parings were great. Be sure to bring friends as the food is meant to be shared. Will definitely be back as there way to many great dishes yet to be experienced.
Our visit to Nektar Wine Bar was fantastic! The extensive selection of drinks offers a lot to choose from. The food was excellent too - the Korean Fried Wings, Mushroom and Goat Cheese Flatbread, and Panko Shrimp were all delicious. Mia was a perfect host and took great care of us.
Had a great time here. I celebrated my anniversary today. Had a wonderful meal. Small plates but robust servings. Great for sharing. The deck had great vibes overlooking the water and Main st. We also met a great couple and had a hilarious conversation.
Absolutely perfect summer night despite the crazy humidity. Food, server, vibes all were unmatched. We enjoyed so many dishes and tried tapas style between the 4 of us. We truly enjoyed the truffle ravioli, the wings, and the honey tomato bruschetta the most!
What a fricken gem! We stumbled upon this place and we couldn’t have been happier. Michael was one of those servers who loves what they do who just made the experience all the more enjoyable. We finished everything we got and wanted to order more just to keep trying all the yummy goodness. The menu is all over the board so anyone can find something they’re in the mood for. Highlights- 🌸Any of the wine flights - ask to taste something first and they will happily bring to you 🌸Wings - YUM. Perfectly crispy but not dry. The sauce was amazing. 🌸 Poke bowl - this was basic and my least favorite of all we got. There were too many onions for my taste, but the quality of the fish was on point 🌸 Lobster pot pie - a winner from the winter menu that is there to stay because it was so good. Amazing flavor, flaky top. A must-get. 🌸 Corn tamales - authentic and fantastic. Well executed. 🌸 Sugar cookie ice cream sandwiches- two so perfect for sharing. The caramel ice cream is the perfect balance of sweet and salty. The cookies were thin and crunchy - not at all what I was expecting but was exactly what I didn’t know I needed. Amazing lunch and experience. Can’t wait to come back!
Took a friend to New Hope and stumbled upon Nektar. The food offered a wide variety selection. The staff was extremely friendly and professional and the atmosphere was beautiful. I highly recommend the Nektar dining experience.
Very nice wine bar with great view (outdoor seating). Food was delicious and fresh. Long list of wine selection and very impressive beer selection. Staff was nice too.
A must try if in the New Hope area. Everything I tasted was so good. If you’re really into sweeter red wines, you may not find any here, but they do have a large selection. I had the truffle fries, bacon wrapped dates and prosciutto flatbread. No complaints! Sit outside to get the best ambiance.
This place is absolutely wonderful! Our host was amazing, and had great suggestions when asked. This is definitely a chill but fun place to go as friends or just for a nice, hip-feeling date. The scenery is stunning year round too. Needless to say, the food and wine flights were out of this world! Two thumbs up!
Had a great time with a few friends for an early dinner. Love the tapas style dishes go for the Korean fried wings and Tuna Tacos! The staff is pleasant and knowledgeable about all food items. They have a great whiskey menu along with flights which are a nice twist. Will definitely visit again!
Fantastic wine, beer, and whiskey bar that serves great small plates. 2-3 per person is recommended. We loved everything. Atmosphere is bright and airy. Service is prompt.
What a View! What great food! I happen to be there the day that all the windows were open. How special to feel the outdoors inside. The views are incredible as well as the food. Each and every dish we ordered had wonderful flavors and textures. Loved everything . Our server was so knowledgeable about the menu and full and fine selections of wine and craft beer. We chose a few delicious beers that were recommended. Beers were tasty and a good higher alcohol, which I enjoy from time to time. Definitely stop here for a small plate and a drink!!!
One of the best small plates restaurant I’ve ever been to with such an extensive list of wines, spirits, and beers! Lots of restaurants in New Hope/Lambertville that are delicious, but this is a must stop if you’re in the area! The service was amazing, from the host being incredibly cordial and welcoming to the server being knowledgeable about the wine/menu and recommending some fantastic dishes for us to try. There are wine and whiskey flights if you want to try more than one drink or don’t really know what wine to order. I’d highly recommend it, especially the Spanish wine flight. We also had the scotch flight and it was so smooth and worth a try for sure. Their inside is very nicely decorated. They also have some outside seating that is shaded by trees and close to the water. For food, we got a few small plates and some sandwiches. The octopus with the mango really compliment one another and was cooked so that the octopus was soft, not chewy. The Korean fried wings were amazing; the sauce was kind of a soy garlic with some sesame. The tuna tartare was fresh and the chips complimented it well. We also got the short rib and pork tamales. Short rib is a must try. For sandwiches, we got the truffle burger and the maple bacon grilled cheese. Both were just mouth watering and juicy. I was pleasantly surprised by the grilled cheese and how the apple and cheese compliment each other. Our server also suggested some other foods. He told us the bacon marmalade bruschetta and the short rib flatbread are amazing. The charcuterie board also looks fantastic and has many options. I’d come back just to try charcuterie and some more wine. Their dessert menu has some good options. We got the ice cream cookie sandwiches and it tasted so fresh. Overall, I will definitely come back to try more of the small plates and the wine. It’s a great place to stop by for a quick bite and some refreshing wine or have a nice meal for a special occasion. Out of all the things we had, I would recommend the short rib, octopus, and the Korean fried wings. If you’re feeling it, the sandwiches are also worth getting as well. Again, seriously consider coming to this restaurant!
This place has delicious food! Small plates, lots of options! It was hard to decide from all the amazing options, but our server was super helpful and ver knowledgeable of the menu! We ended up getting the Bacon Marmalade Bruschetta, Smoked Duck and Cheese Charcuterie Board, Portobello Fries, and Triple Berry Pie! It was all delicious.
My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful meal at Nektar as we were visiting the area on a mid August get-away. The menu is very creative and the kitchen delivers spectacular food. Each dish (small plates) we ordered were carefully prepared and nicely presented, and delicious. The ceviche taco was delightful. We didn’t do a wine flight, but thought the offerings of wines were nice. They have a limited but creative craft cocktail offering also. Save room for a dessert too!
Wow 🤩 what a great experience- we started with sit out front and drink a few beers and then moved to the restaurant out back for lunch 🥗- we were 9. The food was amazing. My wife and I started with honey tomato and portobello fries - we ended ordering 3 more portions of the portobello fries. Then we had heirloom tomato salad and goat cheese and salmon sandwich. Everything was delicious and if I would change anything the bread on the sandwich I would trade out to homemade bread. The desserts 🍨 were homemade and fresh. I have an amazing apple pie with homemade ice cream. This is definitely a place to visit. Together with 9 people including drinks was about $46 per person 🥰🥰🥰
Very neat space with a lot of small tapas style dishes to choose from. Our favorites were the short rib and the octopus. The berry tart was our fav desert. Nice small patio for whenthe weather is nice. Large wine/spirit menu
We had a great time here, came 4pm on a Sunday and got the best seat on the balcony. The food was good and reasonably priced. We actually could have ordered less. I got the rosé flight thinking it would be small tastings but it was actually 3 glasses of rosé. Service was great and friendly - highly recommend
My wife and I went out for an early Valentine's Day lunch. Wine samplers were good and the food was EXCELLENT!
Loved this place. We had poke bowl, truffle fries, truffle ravioli, ceviche, scallops and the Italian grilled cheese. Every dish had unique flavors. Definitely going back
Such a great spot! We got a Sparkling Discovery flight and a French Red flight. The pinot noir and lambrusco were particularly good but all the wines were excellent. We also got a mushoom and goat cheese flatbread along with a charcuterie board. Everything was delicious, the service was flawless, and the location was beautiful. We'll definitely be back!
So good! Not super crowded, light music in the background, fast kitchen, delish dishes, knowledgeable wait staff, super friendly people. I'm sold! It is my new favorite place now! We had the octopus, the portabella fries (amazing!), The lobster pot pie (mmmm good!) And I highly recommend the pudding - silky smooth! Give it a try!
Perfect place to relax, escape from the heat and enjoy great drinks and tapas style bites! The view from both levels was great, allowing us to see the trees/river and people watch. The server was very friendly and kind to our toddler. We stayed for a while and weren't rushed to leave. Will definitely be back and try more items from their tasty menu!
Mike F, our waiter, is very knowledgeable about wine selection. The service impeccable. We had a French red flight and an Italian red flight. Wines are well preserved without oxidation off taste, thanks for their argon dispensing system. It helps us to taste 6 types of red wine in excellent condition. Each wine has unique characteristics. The two flights cover a full range of nose note and flavors. Thai scallop and tuna pokebowl are fresh and delicious. Will be back to try more wines. Thanks Mike for helping us have the good experience.
We went there when another local restaurant didn't have enough servers. Fortunately for us. We sat at the bar because we love interacting with bartenders. Nektar didn't disappoint. Justin was a wealth of knowledge not only with alcohol selections but culinary delights. Food was excellent! We'll be back for sure!
While vacationing in town, we wandered over to Nektar for dinner, and it was great. We started with a custom charcuterie board and added a few other plates such as the scallops and gumbo to the order. We had a few drinks as well but maybe too many because I can't remember what we ordered LOL! My wife got a "shot" of tequila and it was a double or triple in a rocks glass so yeah, we had a good time 😁 It was a pleasant evening with nice views of the outdoor patio and river.
Everything was great about this place. The outdoor seating is beautiful. They serve only small plates but that way we could try 2-3 of the new dishes. Food was very fresh. Our server was nice and helpful explaining the menu. Definitely coming back!
Wonderful place, amazing food and great service. I celebrate my 66 birthday with my two sons and my husband. The beef Wellington is my favorite! What a delicacy!
We started off with a super friendly server that seated us outside overlooking the water. She recommended amazing red wines and we enjoyed the lobster BLT sliders & butternut squash salad. I can't say enough good things about this place and can't wait to return.
Ah, chérie, I wandered into Nektar from Paris straight to New Hope's charm, and zut alors, it was l'amour at first sip! Cozy canal glow, no snobbery—just pure joie de vivre for a flirty evening. Those French wines? Magnifique! A velvety Rhône Bordeaux danced on my tongue with cherry whispers and spice kisses, and the Sancerre? Crisp as a Loire breeze, making me swoon and clink glasses endlessly. Their Cruvinet? Genius for savoring sans regret. (Wine Spectator adores it for six years—oui!)
I have visited this restaurant in every season and it’s the most enjoyable when the sliding doors open in the back and let in the cool night air from the summer breezes. The view from the back of the restaurant with the landscaping with the trees and the scenery is a tranquil dining experience. There is an impressive wine and beer collection and a few nonalcoholic options. I would love if they added kombucha to the menu since I prefer nonalcoholic beverages. (cheers to our health!) The winter menu from when I last visited did not have soup. I always crave a creamy tomato or vegetable soup when there is snow on the ground. I enjoyed a beef Wellington and it was hearty, flavorful. The dish had a variety of textures which made the experience more enjoyable. The creamy potatoes paired well with the crunch of the pastry that surrounded the beef. The menu has a lot of options between appetizers and entrees. I ordered a few different plates to share. It feels like a tapas plates to try a variety of different dishes.
Beautiful interior, the staff were all so kind and Anthony was wonderful. He was so knowledgeable about all of the wines and the food menu! The food and drinks were exceptional! You can truly taste that everything is made with care and quality ingredients. I cannot wait to go back and explore the menu, wonderful!
Food and drinks were delish! We tried almost everything on the menu, and nothing was a disappointment. Special shout-out to the short rib Mac and cheese, pumpkin ravioli, meatball sliders, and bruschetta. Waiter and bar tenders were very prompt and attentive. They have a really nice bourbon selection too!
The food was delicious and served quickly. The sever was knowledgeable, but could've been a bit more present. The atmosphere was warm and vibrant on an otherwise frigid January evening. There is an amazing wine and whiskey selection here.
Anytime I’m visiting New Hope, I reserve a table for lunch at Nektar. The staff is very accommodating, and the atmosphere is great. Weather permitting we prefer to sit outside along the railing. Nektar is great for lunch, especially with three or more people, because it’s a tapas style menu. I always prefer to taste a little bit of everything when I’m at a restaurant. I love the concept of building your own charcuterie and pairing it with a wine flight! I’m giving Nektar 4 stars for food, only because I do wish their servings were more generous. For example, we were a group of four relatively petite, middle-aged women, and we had to order two of a few tapas dishes, in order for us each to sample one. Also, and maybe this is just me being Italian and always going overboard with the charcuterie I prepare, but I feel like their meats and cheeses are quite small, especially for the price. With that being said, I will always go back, I always enjoy myself when I’m there, I always leave satisfied, but I do end up spending a little bit more money than I would prefer, especially for lunch.
Go for the balcony ambiance!! Tapas are incredible. Had a good tequila cocktail but definitely more of a wine menu. We tried the ricotta tomato bruschetta and ceviche tostadas. Both great but dreaming of the ceviche! The sandwiches were just okay.
We visited Nektar for lunch on our most recent trip to New Hope, PA The space is unexpected and elegant, offering diners both inside and outdoor seating options. We were seated outside on a beautiful terrace nestled in a lush landscape that overlooks the bustle of the town. The menu is an eclectic assortment of small plates, flatbreads, salads and charcuterie boards, all of which compliment the generous array of beer, wine and whiskey options. We decided on a selection of small plates to share and the chilled red wine flight. The wine flight was a spectacularly curated succession from light and faintly carbonated to a more rounded, smoky full-body selection. Each offering had clearly delineated notes and flavors that perfectly complemented our meal. Our small plate selections included the Fried Cheese “Saganaki, Spinach and Chickpeas, Scallops and Tuna Tacos. The “Saganaki" style fried cheese was a delicious Halloumi breaded and served with lime, jalapeno and cilantro. The combination of the slightly salty and nutty cheese with the heat of the jalapeno, acidity from the lime and herbaceous notes of cilantro are fried cheese perfection!! The Spinach and Chickpeas were served with crostini. The saffron and cumin broth was very light and we felt it could have been enhanced by a bit more salt and perhaps some heat or acidity to break up the inherent starchiness of the chickpeas. The Scallops came enveloped in a flavorful curry and coconut broth and were delicately prepared. The curry notes were mild and the coconut and lime flavors took center stage to create a light and refreshing bite. The Tuna Tacos were fresh and perfectly prepared. I opted for no crema for this order, which can sometimes result in a dry taco, but the bright and delicious tomatillo sauce in these tacos ensured every bite was juicy and flavor packed!! These tacos were the shining star of the meal for me… delish!! Overall, Nektar is an awesome place to check out in New Hope! The beautiful space, attentive and congenial staff, absolutely amazing wine, beer and whiskey offerings and diverse and delicious small plates should not be missed!!
This place was suggested to me and I was not disappointed. Enjoyed the short ribs, honey tomato bruschetta and coconut curry scallops alongside a glass of cava. This is a great place for tapas, wine & beer! Love the outdoor dining and will return when I'm in the area!
Great visit all around! This place was recommended and decided to give It a try! While i dined here here is what I tried: Crab and avocado duet 6/10 Truffle French fries 8/10 Truffle hamburger 10/10 Stateside pineapple vodka infusion4/10 Overall food lacked flavor except for the amazing burger. Place is beautiful and staff is friendly.
The best thing about this place is the wine list… such a huge variety of sparkling on the list! And they have rotating special wines, tasted a bunch of yummy sparklings and a beautiful red. The food is pretty good but nothing really stands out. The cheese selection is great though. Will definitely be back for the wines and cheeses
Food was good, but it’s nothing surprising. My octopus was a bit overdone and tuna tacos were dry. It’s a nice place, but I guess I had a higher expectations. The other thing that I did not like is that they give you a time limit of 90 minutes, that’s a bit excessive.
Food was amazing. Got the scallops with thai curry broth. Bread was great. View is beautiful. However I was sad that my server complained about me and their customers, I think they thought I was out of earshot or had left but I was in the bathroom and could hear. Either way, it soured my experience. Maybe next time I'll order it for take out.
We went to celebrate our wedding anniversary Tuesday night at Nektar, we aligned on a romantic spot in New Hope overlooking the Playhouse minus the weekend tourist crowds. We were very excited as we arrived on time for our 5 pm reservation, and had a choice of tables for 2 out back on the upper deck, yet kitchen food prep issues marred our overall experience for the price point. We were drawn by the 4.2 star (out 721 reviews) but unfortunately, our experience was a 3 - 3.5 at best. This in no way reflects on Afrodite our server nor the large array of menu choices both foot and especially on libations. In summary, 2 of our 5 small plate dishes were well over cooked-- the pork tamales were burnt on the ends and dry and the dish I had my heart set on, the Chilean Sea Bass was well overcooked with dry uninspiring flavor. Very upsetting due to the cost of the dishes and the point that when we were served the place was virtually empty... should never had happened. As for the other dishes they too missed the point by being a few steps just above room temperature leading us to under if many dishes are prepared ahead of time and left to sit until ordered and then possibly heat lamp heated. Here's what we ordered: Opened with the beet salad (this was perfect), followed by the pork tamales, followed by the scallops (this was very good, but could have been warmer), chilean sea bass which was overcooked and dry, and lastly the Panko Shrimp which was okay. The certainly win for plating presentation as you'll see in my photos but with the other options in town, we'd think really hard about returning.
The food looked good, so we decided to come here for dinner. First, highly recommended to make reservations. We got lucky and got 2 seats at the bar. Had to wait, probably 5-7 mins for a staff member to realize we just sat down, though. Food portions are small too so be careful when ordering. But i can say the food was really good.
I don’t usually write negative reviews, but this was honestly one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in the area. Right after we got home from dinner on Valentine’s Day, both my girlfriend and I started having stomach pain. By the next morning, we both woke up nauseous and felt like we were going to throw up. Whether it was bad preparation, poor food handling, or low ingredient quality, something clearly wasn’t right. The portions were extremely small, yet the prices were at fine dining levels. Unfortunately, the quality did not come close to justifying that. We ordered the meatball sliders, which were $17 for two sliders that were maybe 2 to 3 inches across. They didn’t even taste like meatballs. They tasted like dry meatloaf on a bun. Completely underwhelming for the price. The truffle ravioli was $22 and came with five small pieces on the entire plate. Five. The pasta was undercooked and the sauce was basically tasteless. It felt rushed and poorly executed. The truffle burger was just as disappointing. It was bland, dry, and had a tiny dab of sauce that was the only real flavor on the plate. If you’re going to market something as truffle, it should actually taste like it. The bruschetta pieces were the size of my thumb, and the bread was toasted so dark brown that it actually hurt to bite into. On top of that, the honey was completely overdone. It overpowered everything else to the point where all you could taste was honey. There was no balance at all. The only good thing we had were the truffle fries. Valentine’s Day shouldn’t be an excuse to charge premium prices without delivering quality. Between the lack of flavor, tiny portions, and feeling sick afterward, this experience was incredibly disappointing. We won’t be coming back.
I heard good things about this place. We went early on a Tuesday evening and were seated on the lower level. I didn't really like the vibe as I could see into the kitchen from my seat. We were with a party of 4 and my food arrived at least a full ten to fifteen minutes before everyone else's. I didn't feel comfortable eating alone so it was cold before I took my first bite. Shouldn't it have been put in a warmer while the other food was being prepped or at least timed better? It was just 2 meatballs on bread. I think it was probably good when it was hot but just "okay" when I finally ate it. Our friend's food arrived very burnt. They replaced it and didn't charge us but I'm disappointed that the staff would serve food where the bread was so burnt it was black and not edible. Her replacement arrived after we all finished eating so I felt bad about that. My husband enjoyed his food which was served hot but the drink he had originally ordered when we arrived was out of stock so he was disappointed about that. When we went upstairs as we were leaving I saw the view from the main dining area and it looked very pretty. Totally unlike my view of the kitchen when we were downstairs. I can see the appeal of this place if you are seated upstairs or away from the kitchen, but for the price and the poor experience we had, it's hard to recommend it to anyone or to want to go back.
My poor review kills me. I love this place , but today the service is horrendous. I’m siting at the bar. The bartender never brought a menu ; I happened to grab one from a nice patron next to me. We waited awhile for him to ask us for a drink and then never really talked to us again. The manager is on the computer and his cell phone the entire time. My husband asked the manager for a flatbread. We did receive it but then were never offered anything for an extended matter of time. At this point I want to get out of here I asked to sample two wines and did get a sampling but could barely hear the mumbling of the bartender. I will say it was not crowded at all I can understand if the place is packed but it is not
