Great live music on Monday and Carl's fried chicken is hands down the best in the city. Perfect spice blend and juicy plump chicken pieces!

We had a large group and they did ok keeping up with us. They had some of the best Gumbo in NOLA that I had and their NY Steak was cooked perfectly and was absolutely incredible! I will go back for that steak!

Skip Cafe Du Monde. The beignets at the Roosevelt are 10x better! My breakfast was perfectly prepared even on a slow weekday.

Is it possible that the best burger in New Orleans is found at a hotel lounge? Yes it is. Amazing food and service. Enjoy!

Oooooooo LA-LA🤌 Don't ever hesitate to stop by this beautiful and eclectic hotel in venture off into the several bars and lounges to enjoy a good meal or maybe even if you cocktails. Better yet, try the fountain lounge for both! Specifically during this holiday season of 2021! Everything is vibing perfectly and there's no better way than to ring in the New Year or any moment and one of New Orleans premiere hotels!

It’s funny, I frequently stay at the Rosevelt Hotel for business, but usually go to other restaurants for meals. I forgot how pleasant just having meals at the Fountain is. Breakfast at the Fountain is delicious. Shakaig is an incredibly attractive and friendly server, and Michelle at the omelette station makes great omelettes.

Fountain Lounge breakfast was totally amazing. My wife had the breakfast buffet and I had the avocado toast. Super yummy!!!

The food was great and the fried oyster salad really sold me. You are definitely getting your money's worth. Some things are a little pricey but that depends on what you have a taste for. The servers and my host Patricka was a joy and didn't hesitate to help me choose the best options. They made me feel at home. Definitely coming back!

Shalayia made my visit extra special . . Michelle the cook at the buffet omelet to order was very efficient and showed a lot of patience to all of the guests. . Food was amazing . I definitely will be coming back . From grits , biscuits and gravy , fresh made to order omelets . Huge selection. Of fruit , breads , parfaits … the variety was endless. The beignets were amazing !!!!

From the moment we walked into the Fountain Lounge at the Waldorf Astoria in New Orleans, the service was outstanding. It’s rare to have an experience where every team member you encounter is exceptional, but this was one of those rare instances. The staff went above and beyond, creating a seamless and memorable evening. A special thank you to Liam (Host), Thedriana (Server), Ronnie (Food Runner), and Eddie (Server) for their attentiveness and hospitality. Their service truly elevated the experience. The live music added to the ambiance, and the atmosphere exuded understated elegance—classic New Orleans charm at its finest. Whether you’re stopping in for a drink or a full meal, this is a spot worth visiting for both its refined setting and impeccable service. Highly recommend!

Did a Réveillion dinner at the Fountain Lounge in the Roosevelt Hotel before the Pelicans VS Knicks game. The place was pretty loud, but it is the holidays, the lights are very pretty and picture worthy. The customer service was good, the atmosphere was busy and the food was amazing!

One of my favorite locations for breakfast is at The Fountain Lounge at The Roosevelt. I am a frequent visitor to the hotel, and every time I stay, I eat at The Fountain Lounge. I always request to be seated in Glen’s area because he is by far the best waiter I have experienced. He knows what I want to order without having to ask, and he is always attentive and ensures my experience is better than the time before. My last visit was for a birthday, and he catered to the whole table. He ensured everyone was satisfied with their order, and he went above and beyond for each person in the party. He is very professional, and I commend him for his dedication and awesome customer service. If a breakfast item on the buffet is not fresh, I just inform Glen, and he corrects it immediately. The food is always great, and the omelet bar is very good. There are several options at the omelet bar, and each omelet is prepared based on the customers selections. Also, I recommend the shrimp and grits located near the omelet bar. It is seasoned well, and gives you an authentic creole experience. I would highly recommend the restaurant. Even if you can not make it for breakfast, they reopen at 5 for dinner, and the dinner is good as well. I’ve never had a bad experience, and I have been well over 20 times for breakfast and dinner. Also, ask for Glen, but if he’s not available, I know the others will be just as great. They are all very professional.

Charmaine is the best! Great bartender, fun atmosphere, and some of the best blue crab that I’ve had in a long time. I’d give it a 6/5 if I could.

Monday night chicken with piano was an amazing experience as a nice addition to hotel stay, but the reason it is famous is that flavor in the recipe. Nice little spice in the batter but not to much! It reminded me a bit of the flavor of the half mild from Hattie B's in Nashville but different

Excellent!!! Excellent!!! Excellent!!!My daughter and I spent 2024 Mother’s Day weekend at this wonderful hotel. We were immediately greeted by warm and friendly staff when we drove up and more professional and courteous staff assisted us with our belongings. The front desk staff were outstanding and very accommodating to our needs. The gentleman that carried our belongings was very knowledgeable about great places to tour in New Orleans and recommended Carl’s Fried Chicken, which was very delicious. The young ladies that took care of our room did an excellent job. The bed is so comforting after our manny outings and the spectacle shower makes you want to stay in the shower much longer that a normal shower with so many sprays to comfort your body. The concierge at the hotel was very helpful in our navigation the city. We will most definitely stay here at our next visit to New Orleans. Such a delightful hotel.

We had a great time. Happy hour was fun and great prices. Our bartender Charmaine was fabulous. Her drinks were great and she was fun, adding to the enjoyable atmosphere. My only complaint against this establishment is its serving horrifically cruel and disgusting fancy cat food known as foie gras! No restaurant in this country should be serving this product from force feeding ducks. Yuck. Otherwise, I loved this place and Charmaine was awesome. We'll be back for the delicious beyond burger...but won't be ordering any foie gras!

The food at the breakfast buffet was delicious and reasonably priced - especially for a Waldorf Astoria. The room itself takes you back to those days when hotels were hotels. VERY grand. A fantastic experience! We can't wait for tomorrow…

Charmaine was a fantastic server, there was a very talented person, Eddie playing piano and singing! The fried chicken was spicy and good, the beans were so flavorful and they brought honey with the delicious biscuits!

OMG!! We ate everyday of our visit to NOLA for the Satchamo Festival. Our last day we were sad there was no buffet or Miss Lulu but the food and staff did not disappoint! All the support from the men who cleaned and set the tables. Special thanks to Miss Lulu (hostess), Ms. Patricia (manager), Garryelle (our first server) David (our Chef/omelette guy), Shalayia, and Chassidy (our last server who helped close out our visit with sweetness). The food was good and the staff complimented the entire experience. Thank you all.

Charmaine and Hadniem were so wonderful when we went into the Fountain lounge late night to get some beignets to go. Charmaine wished me happy birthday and gave us our beignets for my birthday. Love the place.! We always stay at the Rosavelt and the fountain lounfe is always our first stop for happy hour. We are never disappointed and our recent bartender Charmaine was wonderful. In fact we have found some of the best places in NO to go to from the bar tenders suggestions!

Had dinner here several nights in a row while conducting a seminar in the beautiful Waldorf Astoria Ballroom. Enjoyed the Short Rib Bourguignon so much that I had it 3 out the 4 days I was there. It’s a small plate, but was the perfect amount if you’re not super hungry. Had it once dining at a table and twice to go. Two servers there were wonderful: Jada and Terriona. They were so friendly and both recognized my team and me each night we came back. They recommended the beignets and they were fantastic!!! Highly recommend!

T
Tamia Gordon

What a beautiful evening at the Fountain Lounge. Terriona attended to my table quickly and she efficiently shared about the daily specials. I ultimately ordered the Sautéed Garlic Shrimp with butternut squash risotto. The presentation was beautiful and the flavors were rich and creamy. Also, Eddie kept my water glass filled and made me feel special and welcomed. The ambiance at the Fountain Lounge is classic luxury. Plus, the staff is always on point. They even remembered my special occasion when I last dined there. Plus, the team was attentive and quite friendly. My only complaint is that the piano is no longer there. Apparently, the powers that be decided to remove the soul of the restaurant. In the days of old, a pianist played sets during dinner. Not only did it make guests truly appreciate the musical style of New Orleans, but the melodic music also drew others into the restaurant. What a shame to have lost the heart and soul of the restaurant. Yet, the staff does their best to create a warm and welcoming environment, while the chefs provide truly top notch cuisine. Whether staying at the Roosevelt or simply enjoying the French Quarter, the Fountain Lounge is a perfect place to enjoy delicious cuisine and top notch service.

Bria was an amazing bartender and server. Made me the best French 75! It was so good, I had to get two. The blue crab Beignets were phenomenal and an amazing happy hour selection, thanks for suggesting them Bria! Great food, great, service, great atmosphere. 10 out of 10!

I went to the fountain lounge and Ashanti went above and beyond to contribute to a great atmosphere and amazing drinks. It was hands down the best martinis I’ve ever had in my entire existence. She is so sweet and extremely knowledgeable about liqueurs and flavorings. It was literally a 10/10. Everyone i know will hear about this experience and that they HAVE to visit here anytime their in NOLA!

We had such an amazing experience at Fountain Lounge! The breakfast buffet was absolutely wonderful – everything was fresh and beautifully presented, and the crawfish omelet was especially delicious. It was the perfect way to start our mornings. We also had the pleasure of dining here for dinner one evening, and it did not disappoint. We tried the mussels, gumbo, and redfish, and every single dish was bursting with flavor and perfectly prepared. Our server, Charmaine, was exceptional – attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. From start to finish, the service, food, and atmosphere were top-notch. I would highly recommend Fountain Lounge to anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience!

I have been visiting this lounge over the holidays. Mr. Anthony, bartender, has been exceptionally pleasant and entertaining. The atmosphere, when frequented, was very energetic and animated. The drinks 🍸 were very potent and the food wasn't bad at all.

We went to the Fountain Lounge for lunch on Christmas. We got the Beignets, the garden omelet, and the crawfish and tasso ham omelet. The food was delicious. We did have a minor issue with food. Our order was taken, but my orange juice, my fruit cup, and my husband's bacon weren't served to us. After letting our server know it was brought right out. Food and atmosphere wise I would highly recommended.

Nice breakfast in our hotel. The beignets with the raspberry Nutella dip were great. Our veggie omelette was very hot and flavorful. Biscuits and gravy just OK. Coffee: excellent.

L

Our experience is the Fountain Lounge has more a restaurant vibe with music and a bar than a lounge. The cocktails are very good but I felt the food seems more the reason people come. The food is also very good with a fairly wide selection. The service was good and we really enjoyed the piano player in the evening. Slightly less formal than the Sazerac bar but still a lot of fun and good food.

M
Mark Miller

Stayed at The Roosevelt and decided to dine here. We enjoyed the meal. The gumbo was very good- just the perfect savory start to the meal. We moved onto the beat salad - fresh and flavorful. We shared the burger with truffle fries and crab cake. All flavorful and hot off the grill. It was Sunday night so there was no live music and it was a little sleepy but overall a very good experience. I would say a solid 4.

Service differed per staff. Some staff were excellent and exhibited excellent service, while some staff could use reminding of the importance of customer service when servicing customers. Enjoyed dinner here on Monday. The service, food, and atmosphere were great. On Wednesday, we decided to have breakfast here. While the lounge was not crowded and there was no one other than my husband and myself waiting to be seated, it took the more than sufficient staff longer than 10 minutes to seat us. There was absolutely no greeting or response to my greeting. We ordered coffee, and by the time we chased someone down for cream, the coffee was no longer hot. A young woman asked (almost under her breath) if we were ready to order. We gave her our orders, and she walked away. Her attitude almost seemed bothered even though we were as kind as we could be (I never express dissatisfaction in eateries for fear my food might suffer). Fortunately, things picked up, and the young woman who refilled our coffee was very kind as well as the gentleman who served us our meal. The breakfast was very good and more than met with my expectations.

Came here New Year's Eve for dinner, not really a dinner menu though you can get weird things like chips or a steak. Most bizarre thing I've ever seen in my life, I expected to see like a list of steaks chickens pastas things like that but no you can have a hamburger fried shrimp or chicken sandwich. Lame. If you think you're going to get this nice hotel to have a nice dinner, think again sister cuz it ain't going to happen. Part two is they have this piano player here who refused to play my request. Now my request was Dixie and he said people would be offended by that, okay I understand that. Then this man proceeded to sing in the best Louis Armstrong impersonation that I could possibly see. And he is white isn't that appropriation?

We ate here a couple of times during our stay at the roosevelt. The food was generally alright although I thought the coq au vin was ordinary. The morning breakfasts were great and the service in general was 5 stars. Ofc, it is on the slightly more expensive side, but that is to be expected given it's location inside the hotel !

Ordered: New York Strip Périgourdine $64 truffle frites $14 We went around 10 PM and sat at the bar, where our server was wonderful—friendly, attentive, and really made the experience enjoyable. Our food was brought out by a gentleman named Eddie, who was incredibly sweet and charismatic. He presented the dishes with flair, even dressing the steak with the sauce right in front of us, which added a nice bit of entertainment. He also went out of his way to help us open something we were struggling with, which was such a thoughtful touch. Eddie was truly a highlight of the evening, and we hope more guests get the chance to be served by him. As for the food, we ordered the ribeye steak with a side of truffle fries. The steak itself was disappointing—the creole-style sauce didn’t pair well and gave it more of a meatloaf-like flavor. The cut was also a bit off and turned out quite dry. That said, the potatoes on the side were delicious and really saved the dish, while the truffle fries were excellent—crispy, flavorful, and well-prepared. The green sauce wasn’t our favorite, but the cocktails were fantastic. One was a perfect balance of spicy and sweet, and the Riesling paired really nicely with the fries. Overall, while the food itself left us underwhelmed, the drinks, atmosphere, and above all the service were wonderful. Between our great bartender and Eddie’s charismatic service, the experience at the bar was memorable. It’s a convenient and stylish spot inside the hotel, but for us, the drinks and service far outshined the food.

Sunday night, only one proper waiter for the whole dining room and two servers. They were severely short staffed. Food took long time to come out. Bread service didn't include bread plates, food was mediocre, steak chewey at medium rare. After the first drink couldn't get another one because waiter didn't have a chance to come by. The person started cleaning the table while we were still finishing our plates, they almost took the glass out of my husband's hand. Usually at all these American "5 star" hotels food is not that great, but at least service and ambiance is OK, but here it was something else. Hence 2 stars.

Speaking on behalf of many customers at the time when my partner and I dined here, I can safely say that they were very understaffed because we got served very late, waited for a long time to get our food, and had to ask many times for our needs to be met. Even though we were in a good spirit, I could see how the lack of service would drive other customers mad. Since we decided to not go for fried chicken on that day (Monday), we were told that we could only order the soup or the salad, so we ordered all 3 of them. The la salade maison, which really just meant house salad in French, was okay, because it was just a mixture of watery vegetables, which would be very hard to say that it's exceptionally good. The pear salad had so much arugula and definitely not enough pears for the price. The goat cheese was crispy fried pretty well, though. Finally, the gumbo was too oily and watery, as the roux wasn't sufficient in defining the texture of the dish. It also didn't have enough rice, chicken, or andouille in general. My partner did not like its flavor, citing that it didn't have the right kinds of seasoning. While I understand that for those that have credits, this may be one of the few restaurants in the hotel where the credits can apply, I still wouldn't recommend it here. The only grace I will give is that it looked like people's fried chicken dishes were tasty, even if I did not have any. Once again, service needed a lot of improvement, for those that care about it.

We booked our Christmas dinner here as we are visiting New Orleans. My fiance ordered the fried shrimp and green tomatoes, which featured overcooked shrimp. Ah, well, I thought. Perhaps the main will be better. I ordered the prix fixe, with the main course being roast turkey. When the plate came out, I was surprised that it was the odd ends and bits of the turkey. I decided to try it anyway, since I like dark meat, and found that the turkey pieces were dried out end pieces that had been sitting for a while. Disgusting. I sent it back and the waitress said she would bring a new plate. She came back and said that they couldn't offer me the turkey but that I could order something else. I did. I soon saw that the tables around me were being served the roast turkey dinner with decent cuts of the turkey. I decided to take it up with the manager, who did not know why the staff would not have offered me another plate and asked me if I knew why, as if I would know why his own kitchen staff does what they do. When the replacement dish--blue crab and avocado toast with a side salad--arrived, it seemed okay. I noticed a bug in the salad. At this point, I called over the waitress and asked for our check. She informed me that the manager had comped the meal, but that hardly makes up for such a horrendous experience. This was supposed to be our Christmas dinner, and we chose a restaurant in the Roosevelt believing that the dinner would be a good experience. It was not only inedible and disgusting, but the reaction of the kitchen staff and the manager so insulting, and the experience was so awful that I shall never again to set foot in a restaurant affiliated with the Waldorf Astoria chain. In all my years of dining out, this is easily the worst dining experience I've ever had. Stay clear of this awful pit of despair masquerading as a restaurant, because your only reward will be disgusting inedible food and a shocking ineptitude and apathy when they ruin your night out.

Not good experience at all . Service was disjointed and lacked training . Food was beyond subpar at price point . Salad and boiled shrimp were good . Gumbo tasted like burnt roux and salty . Fish entree was severely over cooked , steak was cooked bloody rare when I ordered medium rare . Potato gratin was missing and served after I finished half my steak . “Supervisor” was making rounds to every table but I guess just for lip service as he asked me how my steak was and I was honest and told him it was too rare and I ordered medium rare . All in all pretty much a train wreck . Also another person to get tip scammed . We were a party of two and they added an auto-gratuity of 20% (menu says 5 or more ) . I usually tip 20%+ but it irks me that they did this. I mentioned it to the server and she said she “accidentally” tagged this as a large party order . I told her I saw this happens a lot by accident (several other reviews) and left the 20% would have upped it to 24% if they didn’t do this .

No vegan option on the menu. We had to remove both feta and egg from the avocado toast and still be charged $17 for this (before tax and tips). There was barely any avocado on the toast (see picture) and they charged us an extra $10 for a side of avocado. The breakfast potatoes were average at best. Not cut, nor properly cooked, nor tasty. Honestly that was the worst meal we had so far in New Orleans, and it came from our apparently 5* hotel ! The service was sloppy. After a long wait, when I asked where was the extra avocado, the waitress gave me the pearl : “they have to cut the avocado and slice it”. Sometimes you just have to laugh.

It was our last night in New Orleans. We were a party of 5 (stayed in their hotel suite for over a week). The host was going to sit us at a table of 4 and move a chair over from another table for us. I said that was ok. I saw him tell this “short, bald, white waiter” who got upset and said no. The host sat us there anyway because he was embarrassed and was extremely professional about it. However the short, bald waiter refused to wait on us. We sat for 30 minutes and finally got up and left! Hilton you really need to do better. I spend way too much money to be treated like this. Oh and the table next to us was a 6 chair table with only 3 people sitting there and they were being comfortably served. My husband has a Marriott membership and after this week we are switching over because we had to many issues overall with our stay that week!

Something serious wrong here. As an HH gold member we decided to have 'tea' at Roosevelt. ending up at the FOUNTAIN LOUNGE. when entering we mentioned that we wanted some tea and this was not an issue. The representative / host walked us to the table and provided us with the Wine List and Cocktail menu! "the waiter will take the order". But we wanted tea! why give us these menus? Not interested in the customer! Tea was served, Just tea! not even a cookie. Thank god we didn't stay here with this kind of service and attitude.

The food was good but, less than what we expected. Drinks were in my opinion overpriced and the wine tasted watered down. We ordered a cheese plate as an appetizer before the meal. The cheese plate arrived the same time as our main course. Needless to say it was overrun by the main course. The main course was good but again not to the level of the price. We spoke to Sam, who was the floating manager going from table to table, about the cheese plate issue. She said absolutely the cheese plate should have came out first and that she was sorry. Sam could see that most of the cheese plate was still there, but did not follow up or take it off of our ticket. We will not return or recommend this restaurant.

Went to the fountain lounge for breakfast since we were staying at the hotel. Ultimately, I was dissatisfied with the whole dining experience. We sat down and a server came over and filled our glasses with water and our mugs with coffee without greeting us. That would have been fine, except we were charged $10 for coffee that we didn't want and couldn't even drink. The food itself was underwhelming at best. Toast was cold, so the butter straight from the fridge couldn't even be spread on it. Potatoes weren't great. And the sausage definitely seemed microwaved. Overall, a pretty bad experience for an $80 breakfast.
