The Saksaku cream puffs ($6 for 6, perfectly crusty) and matcha mochi munchkins ($5 for 8, freshly made and a perfect balance of earthy and sweet) are NEXT LEVEL. The place itself is nothing fancy, but clean and modern compared to the average teeny NYC place: you order on a touchscreen and your food and drinks come out within 2-5 min. We got various drinks and two of the full size mochi donuts - all solid, a lil more creative than your average boba place.
Hokkaido milk cream puff for only $1, and black sesame mochi donut that tastes like 芝麻糊 (black sesame paste)… this tiny store in Chinatown has totally won me over. I’ve tasted a lot of cream puffs around NYC, but Alimama Tea wins for their perfect choux and flavor lineup. Their cream puffs were huge irl, and the custard-to-choux pastry ratio was done right. *Cream Puff $4.50 - 5.50 I couldn’t stop munching on the yuzu one, so tart and refreshing with a yuzu curd filling. The boba flavor was not too sweet and packed with mini boba. Matcha was the winner (as always). *Mochi Donut $4.50 - 5.50 The roasted black sesame glaze was rich, nutty, and pleasantly grainy. It reminded me of chinese black sesame paste dessert which I loved. What surprised me most was the strawberry flavor. It didn’t taste artificial at all, unlike the ones I’ve had at other donut spots. The brulee donut was coated in a caramelized sugar glaze that left a gold shimmer on my lips. Their mochi donuts had a dense yet chewy texture. *Hokkaido Custard Mini Cream Puff $1 each (min. 6 pcs) Despite their small size, they didn’t skimp on the filling! Each one was packed with luscious, creamy custard made from Hokkaido milk, all wrapped in a crispy shell. *Lychee Rose $7 While I had higher expectations for their sweets, this lychee rose drink actually blew me away! I didn’t even ask for less sugar, but the sweetness level was just right. It was made with lychee purée, coconut water, rose, and topped with real lychee. The boba scene is competitive in Chinatown, but I’d come back just for this drink.
In my opinion this is a must stop place. Located near Chinatown this is a great place to stop in for a boba tea and mid-day treat. The doughnut was amazing (mocha strawberry) and the tea was delicious. There isn't much room to sit but there is space. You can order at the register or right outside the door. I assume this place gets packed at times.
This place is a super cute ٩(^‿^)۶ spot with delicious and crispy cream puffs and chewy mochi donuts! We were looking for a break from the muggy weather outside and the drinks were a perfect pick-me-up. We got the Vietnamese cold brew, royal milk tea, and reserve milk tea (limited time). We also got the milk tea cream puff and onyx mochi donut, which had dark chocolate cream. They were both delicious and the flavors were not too sweet. Service was fast even when there were a lot of customers.
Loved the delicious fragrant jasmine tea. The mini Boba were like a little party in my mouth! The attention to detail was evident with the delicate rose buds and gold flake garnish. We also bought one of each flavor of cream puff. The Ube was our favorite, but all were a perfect mix of light, savory puff surrounding a flavorful sweet, light cream! The speed of preparation was a pleasant surprise in busy NYC. The personal were friendly and efficient. The aesthetic of this shop is delightful! Looking forward to stopping again next time I visit New York!💖
Great tasting milk tea and cream puffs in Chinatown! Definitely worth a visit! The Royal Milk Tea with Boba was great, I got it with 50% sugar and it was still sweet enough for me. It also has the mini boba which taste so good. The cream puffs were also good, I got the match and milk tea ones. Service was quick and the people were friendly. Price is also very reasonable.
In my honest, humble opinion, Alimama Tea has the best mochi donut in Manhattan. The chew, the bite, the just-right sugar level—it’s perfection. I also had the Lychee Rose drink with zero sugar and it was still so extremely good. Absolutely no notes. I go back to this place a lot—it’s one of those spots I always crave.
Cream puffs are huge and perfectly sweet. The vegan chocolate mochi munchkins are pillowy and delicious. We also tried the Vietnamese coffee - smooth and flavorful! Only downside was visiting at the same time a food tour group was there. They filled the entire interior space which made ordering and fighting my way to the counter when it was ready extremely difficult.
Aye t̾e̾r̾p̾y̾fam ya guy was slink'n around chinatown when a boba craving hit.... Pulled up on Alimama cuz the photos were so gramtok-worthy I cldnt resist n thank goodness, this place slaps hard!! From the colorful layered drinks the exclusive mini boba balls n the outrageous creampuffs & mochi donuts they just dnt miss! Flavors are legit and naturally fresh tasting and drinks are refreshing. The creampuffs aren't overly sweet and the mochi donuts have quality toppings. Highly recommend a stopby 🫡

The mochi donuts were alright, the flavours weren’t anything special. I personally liked the strawberry mochi donut, it reminded me of strawberry pocky. The cereal and sesame were my least favourite as there was little to no flavour and wasn’t as enjoyable. To be honest, I don’t think it was worth the price. The cream puffs on the other hand were mostly fantastic! I really enjoyed the ube, yuzu, milk boba tea, and vietnamese coffee cream puffs the most. The flavours were rich, strong, abundant in cream, and overall such a delight to feast upon. The service provided was just alright, a bit slow, but that may be just the way they serve their products. The atmosphere was tight with a small space to sit. Overall, I would only come here for the cream puffs and I would love to try the drinks here next time.
Got the royal milk tea w/mini boba with less ice, regular sugar\n\nA little on the sweeter side so next time I'll try it with less sugar \n\nOverall 8/10, really good drink regardless

Little hidden gem! You order on a screen and then pick up from the counter. I only tried the drink but will definitely be back for the donuts that intrigued me. The mini boba was bomb!!

Mochi donuts mid, bubble tea good, and munchkins amazing, not too long wait time, would recommend for sure.
Drink was reasonably priced, pretty good / not too sweet. service was good and quick. Order via kiosk. There's a very smalllll seating/table area.
- no seating inside\n- very cramped and crowded\n- wait takes like 10 minutes\n- drinks are mid but they look pretty\n- mochi donut was good but a bit pricey\n- you could probably get the same item…
Terrible donuts. I don’t recommend to eat this. I over pay and the quality of the donuts decrease. Even Dunkin Donute taste better. Brought two donuts and expect to be chewy and soft. But end up chewing hard, and dry. Don’t waste your hope like I did. We share with others and they couldn’t chew it at all.
