We had the most fantastic time at Asset. We were from out of town and hosted a graduation party for our daughter! Everyone had a wonderful time. The food and drinks were super yummy! Brandon and Alex really provided us with exceptional service. One of the greatest things was how Jayma helped us book a party for 20 people on line. Their system for creating an event was so user friendly and they nailed awesome apps and wines for the party. One of the most magical things happened - my daughter lost her ring ( it was a gift that I gave and was too large) and Asset found it and called us and we got the ring back! I love Asset. Thank you asset for giving our family such a wonderful evening.
This is my new favorite place. I don’t write reviews but I needed to do so for this special place. The ambiance, service and food were out of this world. I left there wanting to go back. Asset is beautiful restaurant. The food is very fresh and the drinks were delicious. I wish I took better pictures but we were enjoying everything so much. Please don’t hesitate and visit this gem.
Based on the reviews, I was worried that this would be just ok. It had the perfect dim romantic atmosphere you would want for a big date night and absolutely phenomenal food. The kind of dishes that you look at each other and start cursing because of how incredibly good the food is. This place should be rated so much more highly. Our server, Carlos, was managing a whole section but was always available when we looked for him, was knowledgeable about all the food, and very friendly. Also, we were running about 15 minutes late for our reservation and they were able to accommodate us with no problems. Prices reflect the quality of food served. I will definitely be back for future special occasions!
The most ethnically and generationally diverse spot on the UWS, makes this a gem. It’s just good vibes, good food, good drinks.
I really enjoyed my dinner here. The ambiance and atmosphere is lovely. I think it would make a great date location and good friend catch up event. Both the drinks and the food were yummy. However, dinner for two (2 drinks each) with the tip was over $200. I'll definitely return but it's more of a special event location than an everyday dinner out.
Absolutely stunned by this gem of a place. I almost don't want to write this review because I want to keep this place all to myself! Exquisite design. Very welcoming and dare I say...sexy. Great place to take a date you are looking to impress. The food was out of this world. Everything cooked to perfection and the service was top notch. Friendly and accommodating. The Manager Michael made us feel like we were regulars there for years despite this being our first time visiting and he really set the tone for the whole night. Just laid back and fun environment. Would be great for parties too. Fantastic space. I can't wait to go back! Thanks Michael and Asset.
Loved it! I got the pork chop with asparagus with no complaints. The ambiance was perfect. And our server spoke loud, clearly, and was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. But there were two people at my table that ordered the filet and complained it was to peppery when the menu didn't say anything about pepper, just salt and oil. Would definitely go back.
Asset has a great brunch menu and fun atmosphere, especially on a sunny spring afternoon! Their cocktails are all beautiful and their egg dishes are a hit. I recommend dining outside if weather allows. Outdoor seating is dog friendly, and the neighborhood is relatively quiet considering some other areas of NYC. Service was great and I felt very safe dining there; staff kept their masks in and tables were well distanced.
Service and ambience was amazing. Great happy hour. Esho was an amazing server!
We originally were going to Da Capo and what a happy accident that it ended up being closed. We stumbled in Asset and J.C was there to take care of us. We had the late night bites because we came after a Philaharmonic show. We ate the pork potstickers, spicy tuna crispy rice, and J.C recommended the cauliflower and all were delicious! For our final act we asked J.C. to make use a special, taste shot and he did not disappoint. It was overall an amazing time and we will be back! Thanks for a great post-show experience 💕💕
I was at Asset for a private party. The waygu beef and mushrooms had so much flavor and tender. The sushi rolls were also quite delicious. The atmosphere was very elegant and pleasant. The staff was very good and attentive and were all so polite. Drinks were executed very well. Can't wait to go back and try their dinner entrees. I can definitely see this as a good place to have some cocktails and appetizers and meet with old friends. The lightning was quite dark so taking pictures was hard without a flash. I also liked they had unisex bathrooms that were clean, nicely decorated, and private so there was no line.
I had the best birthday dinner here Saturday 🥰 I reserved the wine room, it was beautiful ! The food was so good and affordable in my opinion for 9 people the bill came out to $960 Everything came out perfect 😍

Came here after our original destination was closed and decided to try it (late hours already a plus), and it was night-makingly good, so glad we stumbled across it. Service, vibe, cocktails all great. The food was all great but the Chilean sea bass satay felt like a gamble and paid off as high quality fish, and the spicy tuna with crispy rice flambé was not just great presentation, it was a really unique flavor (which is all too rare).
I had a great time here for my 30th birthday, the food, the drinks & the service was top tier! I would definitely be coming back soon
Asset is amazing. I hosted a party here with 15 friends and everything from beginning to end was incredible. Morgan, the Media & Events Manager, was so kind and communicative - she made sure no detail was spared, and even surprised us with a few goodies throughout the meal (including a custom-printed sign for the table)! Lara, our server, was so accommodating, kind, and attentive. The food was awesome (try the wings and the wagyu beef satay), and the drinks were tasty and inventive (the Ping Guo-tini and Frozen Espresso martinis were hits). All in all, will definitely be back to Asset, and will be reaching out whenever I need to host a party. Thanks, Asset!
First and foremost -Out bartender JC and the manager Morgan - were THE best! They took such great care of us. JC took a chance making me a drink with Gin off the top of his mind and boy did it blow my mind. Phew! It was delish! Go in ask for the Morgan special gin and tonic. Thank me later ;) Yellow tail crudo- Excellent presentation, so fresh, so decadent and savory with a kick! ;) Chilean sea bass skewers-what a light and refreshing Asian twist on a pincho! The ambiance is perfect for a date night or meeting up, and the music is perfect for a fun night out. Definitely coming back to Asset. I highly recommend this place! You won't be disappointed. Go now!
Really cool and stylish interior, with an upscale feel but a more casual vibe. Menu has a variety of options with starters between $10-20 and mains around $30+. Bar service was pretty relaxed and a little slow but the bar was fully occupied by guests so will turn a blind eye. Cocktails were good and priced around $16-18 each.
My friends and I decided to indulge in the appetizers, raw bar, and sushi menu as the main entrees didn't quite catch our attention. They ordered the lychee martinis, while I savored the delightful Melon Spritz, which was absolutely delicious. Every dish we sampled was exquisite. We capped off the evening with martini espressos, enjoying the music and ambiance. The only downside was the prolonged wait for our drinks after ordering. Despite that, the bathroom's view of the kitchen, though unusual, was beautifully designed. We're definitely considering a return visit!
I usually don’t write reviews, but I have to say that this was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had. We booked a reservation for a large table, and were accommodated in a wonderful semi-private area with a gorgeous oval table. Every single dish we had was delicious & each guest raved about the food - from the apps, to entrees, and our cheesecake dessert. We did have some water droplets leaking slightly from the ceiling but the staff helped us move around & even gave a complimentary app for our troubles. The service & staff were so helpful and kind. I wish I had the name of our server to shout him out, but he was a star. Will definitely be coming back with our family again as it was a wonderful experience from start to finish! This is a great location if you’re looking for an intimate friends or family dinner.
My husband and I had our wedding reception here on July 23rd, 2022. This place looks amazing. Our event manager, Brandon, was very patient, caring, and very accommodating to the hiccups we ran into during our wedding reception planning. The food was fantastic and the service was phenomenal. We had an extraordinary time and plan on returning for our 1 year wedding anniversary celebration. We would highly recommend this place.
Had a great time here. It is a nice upscale restaurant with a cozy lounge vibe atmosphere. There are 2 floors and a bar on each. Their craft cocktails are very creative and they have an expansive liqour selection. The food is very good and large portions. Nice variety of apps & entrées. Their desserts are insanely delicious. They even make their own Ice cream! Our waiter was Carlos who very knowledgeable about the menu and have us great suggestions. We really enjoyed the Buffalo chicken lollipops and the hanger steak was cooked to perfection. I went with the mango Passionfruit cheesecake for dessert delicious. Will have to try the molten lava cake next time. We stayed to hear the live D.J after they stopped serving food. It was a great time and everyone was very well attended to. Will def go back.
Amazing experience, Low ambient lighting atmosphere. Well rounded menu with packed flavors. My server Bruno was so accommodating and easy going.
I was visiting NYC last week and stopped in for brunch at Asset. Decided to sit at the bar, and had a wonderful time talking to the bartender. Liv was incredibly friendly and made sure that my family and I had a wonderful experience. 10/10 service, food was amazing, and the craft cocktails were next level (especially the espresso martini and the rose Manhattan). Would absolutely recommend!
Service was at times great, but other times I had a hard time getting the same staff’s attention away from talking to other staff to place a drink order. The parts that were great make me think the training is good and I was just there on an off night. The good was great and would recommend.
My second time here. I usually don’t do reviews unless I have an experience that I want everyone to know about. This place is absolutely amazing. They haven’t missed the mark on anything. Ambiance, staff, food quality, food presentation and service has been absolutely amazing. The best way to describe this place is modern fine dining that’s affordable with an amazing atmosphere.
Beautiful indoor space. Vaccination card required for entry. Weirdly placed us super close to other tables. Great cocktails, including a spicy Bloody Mary The pastry basket varies - ours had a chocolate croissant, cheese danish, corn cranberry muffin, almond croissant The chicken and waffles - great flavor, too much waffle The burger - crispy fries, savory bacon, perfectly cooked Spotty service, but food is definitely recommended. Will be back!
Let me start by saying this is one of the MOST GORGEOUS restaurants I’ve been to !! The moment you walk in you know you’re going to have a great time the music is upbeat and current and the lighting sets the mood !! The food is sooooo good especially the crispy tuna rice and shishito peppers !! The sushi is super fresh and flavorful too we loved literally every dish we tried!! The drinks are spot on too especially their plum sangria different from other sangrias I’ve tried it’s my favorite version !! So get dressed up and expect to have a great time
I recently celebrated my granddaughter's graduation at ASSET restaurant, and the experience was outstanding. The atmosphere was elegant, and the staff provided exceptional service. Our waitress was very attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. The appetizers were delicious, setting the tone for a fantastic meal. I can't wait to return soon with my coworkers for another delightful dining experience!
Asset is hands down our city favorite – delicious food, amazing drinks, and vibes that are just unmatched. Their new menu is also super creative. Major shoutout to MJ for being the MVP server, always dropping knowledge on the menu. Loved the hospitality!!! Already counting down the days till we're back! 🙌
I have absolutely no complaints. The service, amazing. The food, impeccable. The ambiance, perfect. Literally everything was amazing. Haven’t had a dining experience like this on some time. Will definitely be returning! UPDATE!!! Since my first review, I’ve gone a few more times during there amazing weekday happy hour from 4-6pm, & thereafter on a Saturday to learn they have HAPPY HOURS ON SATURDAY TOO!! From 9-11pm … Anddd on Mondays!! You will not be disappointed. Just go. Like yesterday. Lol I’ll definitely be back to celebrate my birthday soon 🙏🏾
We celebrated my friend’s birthday here and everything was perfect! The food was not only delicious but beautifully presented. Every dish looked like a piece of art. The atmosphere was great, and the service was outstanding. A special shoutout to Chef Franco, who personally checked on us throughout the night and made sure we were happy with everything. He truly made the experience unforgettable. Highly recommend this place!
Had an amazing experience! I took myself on a solo date on Valentine’s Day. I sat at the bar, mesmerized by the atmosphere. I knew I wanted Chinese food but didn’t know what to order from the menu, so I asked the bartender for her recommendations. I wish I got her name. She definitely did not disappoint! For appetizers, I ordered wings and jalapeño yellowtail crudo. Wings are always a MUST and theirs is delicious. I am not big on sushi but the sauce for the yellowtail completes the dish! For my entree, I got the honey soy duck breast… it was so juicy and tender. I can taste it as I write this review lmao. I tried three different drinks, ping guo-timi (fav), lychee island elixir and plum 75. My night out came up to $140, which is a bit pricey, but not when you’re treating yourself. I also heard for my next visit, I have to try the steak. They’ll definitely see me again!
Asset lures you in with ornate and decor and great spacing with intimate nooks, but hooks you with the food and drinks. They offer delicious food and creative drinks at reasonable prices, in a calm and relaxed environment with friendly and courteous staff. I went for brunch and thoroughly enjoyed the food, my only complaint being that the consistency of the omelet made it a bit difficult when eating. They offer a 64oz carafe of mimosa in the flavor of your choice for $40, a wide selection of brunch drinks , and a great happy hour option Monday to Friday from 4 to 6 PM.
Had a wonderful dining experience recently at Asset. This restaurant is beautiful and perfect fot a night out! Once seated, our waiter introduced himself and provided great recommendations for drinks and food. The drinks were very amazing and so was the food. The entrees for dinner were small portions but still really delicious. Highly recommend Asset and will be back soon!
I dined at Asset for my birthday and the experience was fabulous. The staff was great and super attentive. The food is impeccable with a great selection of items for both happy hour and general dining. The drinks are creative and tasty. Only hiccup is their bathrooms do not have a changing table and with an infant, it was a challenge.
We had a party of 8 for my homegirl’s birthday dinner and it was a time! Checked all our boxes that we didn’t know we had to begin with LOL! The food, the service, the vibe was ugh, just perfect! To top it off, all the R&B throwback music was EVERYTHING❤️. This place is perfect for a night out with your girls or with your plus one, whatever works!
Dined last night for my husbands birthday and we were immediately seated and served our drinks- he had sake (generous serving!) and I had the Appletini which was delish! For appetizers, we took our server’s recommendation of pork belly buns & spicy tuna crispy rice. For dinner, we had the beef & broccoli & green fried rice. Everything tasted really good. Though we had no room for dessert, we were pleasantly surprised when they brought a surprise set of macaroons to wish him (I had mentioned his bday in the resy). The only 1 thing we noticed was for a relatively quiet night, service was a bit slow.
So good! Loved the drinks. Sat at the bar because we didn’t have reservations. Got dumplings to start, only wish is it came with a dipping sauce but we didn’t ask for it. Got the lobster fried rice and steak to share. Delicious. Only thing we weren’t a fan of was the crepe cake. Wanted to try it and it wasn’t bad just not our thing. Not sure if it’s suppose to be hot or cold but it was cold so that threw me off. But still rating high because the ambiance, and customer service was great and sometimes I just like to try new things even if it’s not for me
Wow! I mean, I was not expecting this last min invite to be this good! From the moment you arrive, the front already gives you a welcoming vibe. Once you enter, the ambiance is simply cool, modern, zen & pretty. From the bar to high tables to the 2nd floor and bathrooms, this psot was designed well. The staff was very friendly attentattentive and careful with dietary restrictions & allergies. The drinks were very interesting & delicious. The food! Absolutely delicious! Beautifully presented with such an array of tasteful fusions. I ate way too much but had the pleasure to try a lot! And then there were desserts . They were very interesting, to say the least creative with flavors that keep you wondering. From the macaroons to the cheesecake, chocolate mousse, and the corn/crepe cake. . . Absolutely well crafted and presented. I say, this is a must! Def recommend it and will definitely be back.
I came after visiting the Museum of Natural History. The atmosphere and decor are trendy and very artistic. What made this place memorable was the flavors in the food—it’s like a party in your mouth and you want to go back for more. Seriously, I haven’t had food taste this good in a while. I had the tuna sashimi and sushi and the crab fried rice. Highly recommend.
Short rib massaman curry was fantastic. What might be an interesting dish elsewhere was outstanding here. The ribs were next level, with the curry such a complex pairing. Volcano roll was piled high with shrimp and tasty. The shishito peppers: large and perfectly prepared. Enjoyed the cauliflower app and edamame as well. Highly recommend the gochuchang paloma. And the vibe is upscale, relaxed and so elegant. Can’t wait to come back.
The atmosphere was great! Very beautiful restaurant. The drinks were really good. The food…. Hit or miss, I wasn’t. Big fan of the food or dessert. I’ll recommend Asset to anyone for a nice drink.
Private Tribeca Festival Event, passed hors d’oeuvres. Staff and service was gracious and great. Edit: I forgot to add, the pod of 4 bathrooms that you’re directed to downstairs are in bad shape. I saw one of the hostesses going down to restock paper towels, but the faucets are broken, one of the stalls was leaking and floor completely wet. The lock and vacant/occupied latch was broken for another. I was was forewarned by my colleagues prior to going down and I confirmed the state of the makeshift stalls. They (the faucets) also oddly face an area of a kitchen through a window.
I've been really excited for this place to move in. We decided to try the drinks and the food. I think the best move here is just to go from the fancy cocktails. They are your typical $10-$15+ cocktails in NY but they are tasty. This place has a really fun vibe. The drinks are great. The food was nothing to write home about, but its a bar, so i shouldn't expect more. I'll be back for sure, jsut next time for the drinks and note for the food.
My new girls night out spot in NYC! I’m a crispy rice girlie and they definitely do not hold back with not only the aesthetic but the taste! If you only try one thing? Make sure you try that. If you have enough time to try two - please do me the biggest favor and get the lobster fried rice. When I say it was probably the best fried rice i’ve had in a really long time? I mean it whole heartedly. Ambiance is gorg and the food is delish. I wasn’t the biggest fans of the drinks so I don’t have much to say there but if I had to choose one it would be the Lychee Elixer. I’ll definitely be back for the food!
Came here for drinks and the vibe is great. Really love the aesthetic, which is sleek and modern, and doesn’t feel like other bar/restaurants in NYC outside of those that may be part of Tao Group. The wine list is pretty good and reasonably priced. Happy hour runs till 6PM where cocktails are $10. Had some snacks here which were fine but nothing mind blowing. Can see myself hanging out here for drinks but not too inclined to want to eat here.
the food was pretty good. i’d say it’s similar to the tao chain in terms of quality. maybe not the most authentic, but not bad. the egg rolls were the best starter. the crispy rice tuna was somehow not very crispy, almost a little mushy. the pork potstickers were good. the japanese yakimishi fried rice was fine. a little oily and the vegetables werent as cooked as i’d prefer but had good flavor.
Went to Asset for a girls night out and the service was impeccable! Our hostess was so sweet and so were our servers. The ambiance was great, they played throwback RnB music. For drinks we ordered the lychee coconut mojito (mocktail) and a Moscow mule, which isn’t on the menu but the bartender was able to make it. To start we got their spicy tuna crispy rice and steamed vegetable dumplings, both great and flavorful. We also got their honey soy duck breast, which was delicious. However, they only gave three small pieces of duck breast. The Japanese yakimishi fried rice was amazing, we added tofu as a protein. First time dining at Asset and won’t be my last!
Very trendy spot on the UWS. I’ll start with the service. We did wait 15minutes before our waitress, but that was probably the only negative I can complain about, other than the music being a little too loud for my liking. The happy hour deal is great. Between the appetizer and drink options, you can leave very full without breaking the bank. We ordered 5 of the 7 options on the happy hour food menu, and they were all delicious. Some food wasn’t as hot as we hoped, but they made up for it in taste. Especially the Korean wings. The cocktails weren’t anything to write home about, but if you get them during happy hour it really is a great deal. And great craft beer options as well. We split the Japanese yakashimi (I am definitely spelling that wrong) was very good. We got it with shrimp and they didn’t skimp. The vibe was great for a date night, we were sat in a two person booth that felt perfect for the evening. The bar looked very lively, and the upstairs looked like a great vibe as well. Overall, a solid 4/5 stars. Would absolutely come back for the happy hour, but don’t think I would otherwise. I would recommend. Our server was great as well.
Came on a Saturday night with a reservation and the place was very lively with a dj. We didn’t like that we booked a high seat table but were seated upstairs in the dining area by the hostess. But nonetheless we had a great time here, the food was amazing but the drinks are ok, we found that that the drinks didn’t taste like what the description sounds like ex; the spicy drinks. But we had a great time overall, will definitely be back, just hope we get the seating we reserved for next time
ASSET is a great spot on the UWS. It seems to have recent rebranded and I’m loving it. The ambiance and drinks really steal the show for me. The interior is gorgeous and moody, almost like you’re being transported downtown or overseas. Happy Hour is M-F from 4-6pm and offers $10 select bites, $10 cocktails, and discounts on wine and beer. Drinks: the drinks are pretty stellar. As a fan of tequila, I lean towards the Sizzling Peach and the Ube Rockin’ which are both delicious. Both are vibrant with a tasty rim. Food: the food here is good, there are definitely some standouts, but I wouldn’t necessarily say the best part of the experience. The potstickers, spicy tuna crispy rice, and Japanese yakimishi fried rice are amazing. The fried rice has a great bit of crunch from the bacon and is a healthy portion size. Potstickers come in a delicious sauce and are incredibly juicy. The rock shrimp tempura was disappointing for a seafood fan. The breading overpowers the shrimp and leaves you feeling like you could find it in a frozen bag. The cauliflower was similarly breaded but the fry and flavor were much better. The eggrolls are good but a small portion for the price. Brussels sprouts are great, pretty standard. There are some great dishes and some misses, but overall the pricing is a little steep for what you’re getting. Ambiance: the ambiance here is so so good. The music is great, the lighting is perfect, and the decor is magical. It’s sexy and sleek, perfect for a date or a group of friends on a night out. Service: Amazing service all around. Bartenders (Jerome and others… unsure of their names) are all super friendly and helpful. Wait staff is similarly accommodating and knowledgeable. Come to ASSET for the happy hour or to have a drink at the bar, grab a couple of snacks, and enjoy the vibe. Alternatively, impress a date with their great atmosphere and a few great bites.
A great spot to hang out and catch up with friends. They were pretty empty when we came by for dinner at 6pm and eventually filled up but not to the brim. The dishes were all solid and no complaints. Staff were very attentive and friendly and maybe a bit too eager to clear our dishes. I’d come back again if I happen to be in the area, but not necessarily worth travelling for this experience alone.
Spacious place, nice decor. A bit too dim for me but nice. The cocktails are good, strong and flavorful. Got the sea bass satay, it was great. The quantity was too less for the price but good taste nevertheless. The burrata was great too, juicy and sweet tomatoes with fresh burrata. Overall a nice new spot in the area.
Went to meet someone for a quick drink before dinner and stopped in. They had a lot of interesting signature drinks to try. I had a glass of rose, it was disappointing but the sparkling grapefruit my friend had was very refreshing. I will have to try that next time. The bar is nice and long and the bartender was very attentive to everyone. I will have to come back to try the food another time. Nice place to come for drinks or dinner.
Interior of restaurant was massive, but has an interesting array of seating sections. Quality of seating is good. The wait staff is responsive and has good attitude, but understaffed. Do not go there if you want a romantic quiet dinner for two, because the acoustics makes this a noisy place. The food was the least favorable. Good presentation. But the meals were only like warm. And that detracts from the deliciousness. The grilled asparagus has a faint smell of kerosene. We had to ask for the bread, which arrived colder than marble stone. And, the staff who seats the patrons must be better trained. She INSISTED that the two of us sit next to a table of 11 people, which of course, created for us a very stressful dining experience due to their high voice and noise decibels. This was unfortunate because there were tables available, further from the group. Essentially, this is more like a drinking place than a good restaurant. It will definitely appeal to the younger crowd. As for me, I will not go back.
It is with regret that I must write this review. ASSET management hugely mishandled a situation that was not even a situation. We made a reservation 3 weeks in advance for my birthday at an indoor table 4- top for 3 adults and baby. I arrived early, they promptly sat me, I ordered a glass of wine and waited with excitement to see my friends and their precious baby. I was seated comfortably in the back with dividers in place(i thought was great) and plenty of room for our group. When my friends arrived, the management team would not let them in with the baby stroller (extremely compact/ smaller than the chairs) even though there was ample room at the table, especially since they would be taking the 4th chair away. We are bewildered as to why this was an issue, as there must be enough room in the restaurant for a wheel chair (ADA compliant) this stroller is much more narrow and compact. We can only assume they do not want a baby in the restaurant. There was ample space (photo below) for us to be comfortably sat, to not bother customers around us, and to not interfere with the wait staff. My friends we denied entry and were offered an outdoor table, however it was still raining and on the loud avenue. In this day and climate to be baby shaming and unaccommodating is unnecessary. There are plenty of places that do in fact want business from young families and will go above and beyond to be helpful, not deny entry. Everything happens for a reason, as we left, we stumbled upon The Leopard at des Artistes... They didn't have any tables available, but went out of their way to set a new table up for us. The Leopard included, ASSET excluded, embarrassed us and didn't even care. Who baby shames a sleeping beautiful 4 month old!?! oh ASSET, they baby shame..... Families, strollers not wanted - AVOID. Note: I didn't give one star review because the menu looked great, hence we planned our night there originally.
Great service and nice decor, but for the price, the food was underwhelming and the space didn’t feel well maintained. The images online are a bit misleading, it's a place that relies more on aesthetics than quality.
Wings were good but lukewarm (not even hot), spare ribs were also lukewarm but dry. Crispy chicken was NOT crispy. Had the waiter send back for another batch, but they clearly were the same chicken (just slightly warmed up - and still not crispy. Drinks were watered down. Not coming back here.
I was excited to try this restaurant, but the experience was a major letdown. The little food I did have was good, but the service was disappointing from the start. Despite plenty of open tables, I was seated in the back and ignored for 15 minutes before anyone approached me. I eventually ordered my drink with someone who was pouring my water—not my waiter. My actual server only showed up after the drink arrived and I ordered appetizers. When my friend came, we asked to move tables, which helped— until we ordered a second round of drinks that took over 20 minutes. We didn’t mind waiting until our appetizers were nearly finished. The waiter passed by us and asked if everything was okay. When I mentioned the delay, the waiter rudely walked away saying, “They’re coming.” That attitude completely ruined the mood. I intended to order entrees but I asked for the bill as soon as the drinks finally arrived. It’s unfortunate that the service alone tainted my experience. I was looking forward to ASSET for some time now.
Warning. Not family friendly!! We visited this (very casual) place with our 3 year old who was quietly playing with play dough and someone came over to tell us that the mangled, damaged table (made of pressed wood) had "sensitive" wood so he needed to put it away. We've never experienced this!! Stay away with kids. Beyond that food quality and service was terrible. The "medium rare" burger came out raw and the $18 pasta appetizer had literally one bite's worth. Our waiter didn't seem to know anything about the drinks or menu items.
Dear Managment, Thank you for your response. However, your version of events does not reflect what actually occurred. I was not attempting to “gain access” to anyone’s private event — I simply needed to call my Uber, as I explained multiple times. The situation could have been handled with far more professionalism and understanding rather than hostility and assumption. As a paying guest and visitor, I have every right to expect basic respect and clear communication. While I understand your duty to protect your client’s event, there was no justification for the dismissive or condescending tone that was used toward me. I appreciate the apology, but I hope that in the future, your team approaches similar situations with more courtesy and without jumping to conclusions about guests’ intentions. Best regards, Sagine B.
