These are the best wings I had in a long time. Went to school in Buffalo these are authentic well worth it.

It is quite simply an experience! Excellent wings are only part of the draw here. Dan and the servers keep up a lively banter as they dodge pedestrians walking the sidewalk to serve those dining outdoors. The beer is cold and even if the Bills are not playing so hot, the atmosphere is on fire!

Some of the best wings I’ve had in Midtown. Super fast service, great flavor in the sauce and the wings are so dang crispy without the inside dryness. Definitely recommend coming here for the wings.

If you want the real deal Buffalo style wings, look no further. They also have large screen TVs for sports and most importantly these days, they keep the place spotless. I actually prefer boneless wings and both options are available.

You know i walked into dan and john's cautiously because i was disappointed by a recent wings place, but as i was greeted so kindly by dan me and my friends sat down and skimmed the menu, autumn and john suggested good flavors for us, we were happy about the way we were treated and the food didn't take more than 10 min to get to us. When the tray was placed at our table i took a bite into pure delight and the disappointment of the wings place vanished as i was almost half way done. By far the greatest place ever!!!!!

Best wings in the city. Hands down. The buffalo sauce can't be beat. They don't deliver to the Upper East Side anymore through any apps, but I still make the trip down to pick up often.

AMAZING PLACE! My brother and I loved the ambiance at this establishment. We are super into sports and watched the College World Series using their huge TVs. The wings were EXCEPTIONAL and reasonably priced, which was a huge plus. The fries were good too. The staff was very lovely, and we will definitely be coming back here.

I ordered 20 traditional wings 10 Garlic Parm 10 Sweet chilli. The wings were a great size, and very tasty. The Garlic parm sauce didn't really have the flavor I wanted, but the Sweet Chili was outstanding. $37 after taxes for 20 wings, 4 sauces, some celery and carrots. I think if it were a few dollars cheaper, I would call it a good deal. However, the quality is absolutely there. If you want to splurge on some good wings, check this place out.

Legitimately some of the best wings I’ve ever had. I love that they give you an option to choose “extra crispy” if you want, which is how I like them. The medium Buffalo sauce is out of this world. 10/10 would recommend. Just sad that I don’t live anywhere near New York otherwise I’d be there every day!

I got inferno wings and ordered an insane! sauce on the side… the inferno wings have a kick but nothing crazy… i ate 1 wing before i drenched the rest with the insane sauce.. i probably should have ordered 2 insane sauces to go lol the insane sauce is much spicier so unless ur into spicy spicy then stick to inferno Besides the sauces, wings are very good Tots are not as crunchy, but understandable since it’s hot and it’s in an enclosed container so it got foggy and humid in there.. threw it in the toaster oven Will be ordering again for sure

Great new restaurant in Murray Hill. Wings are legit and tater tots we're also good. Wheelchair and stroller accessable (no stairs to enter). Restaurant is very clean. Will be awesome once they have beer (no beer as of 6/5/2019). They have beer (June 12)!!

Still one of my favorite places in the US for wings. Dan and John’s wings are some of the best wings you’ll have in NYC. Check out their wings. They have bone in, boneless, chicken fingers, a chicken finger sandwich, tots and much more.

I went to both locations in the city, on two separate occasions. The wings were good and fresh. I had plain wings with the sauce on the side just to see how good the wings were on its on. A+ definitely going back. Hard to find really good wings without drowning it in sauce. Onion rings and mozzarella sticks were great, definitely recommend. The mac n cheese bites I can do without.

The server was very friendly and conversational. It was my first time there and I felt at home as soon as I walked in. The chicken was great as well. I got 5 lemon pepper and 5 medium buffalo wings, and they were massive. One of the buffalo wings was so big I couldn't dip it into their delicious bleu cheese. They were packed with so much flavor that they were lying in puddles of their own juices and seasonings. I'll definitely come back.

We chose to eat here after visiting Western New York for the Bills seasonal opener and the subsequent visit to the Meadowlands, as two honorary Western New Yorkers from the UK and hoping to meeting a couple of ex pat Western New Yorkers. Unfortunately even though we emailed prior to our visit we were disappointed not to meet the owners or able to get some of the merch that we wanted. I suppose the guys are now lying on a beach in Florida having made their money. The huge plus point was the food. The traditional and boneless wings were excellent, as good as anything we`ve had in WNY. The other plus point was the two hardworking young people who were on duty the evening we visited who deserve a lot of credit.

Original delicious buffalo wings made by guys from Buffalo, what more do you need?The restaurant is clean and cozy complete with tvs so you can watch sports while enjoying your meal. The servers are friendly and attentive. Choices of heat (spicy) levels and styles (traditional, sweet, dry and bbq) enhance the fresh made big golden fried wings. They have bone-in and boneless wings, as well as tenders and sandwiches. Tater tots and french fries were cooked to crispy golden perfection. Hard to choose a favorite between ranch or blue cheese dressing to compliment wings, carrots and celery. Definitely a great spot for great wings if you're in NYC.

The wings were a nice size, juicy, and were completed slathered in sauce. The Insane! sauce, which has ghost pepper according to the guy who served me, had a nice kick with a tolerable amount of spice (to me at least). But for normal people, you should definitely get something milder if you can't handle the heat. Next time Im in the area Ill definitely go back and try a different sauce with the wings.

So I love this place been coming here since it open because I work in the neighborhood and it was my favorite wing spot until as of late when they stopped letting you split the sauce up between a order(20 wings=10 one sauce 10 another) now I have to order two 10 pc orders which basically winds up being a extra 5-6$ which goes a long way on a Nyc budget but other than that this is a 5star establishment

Went here for date night with my fiance. The food was good. Its a small place, 4 big tables. It was not busy when we got there. I just wish we could choose more than one flavor for the wings.

Really nice bar, really great staff, perfect Murray Hill drink prices. Sports/TV situation is also perfectly on point. 1 star off because the wings are completely inedible. If you're going to have signs claiming "Buffalo Wings by Buffalo Guys," you need to know what a buffalo wing tastes like in Buffalo, NY. Tried medium boneless and sweet mustard regular wings. The boneless were pure breading burnt hard, no chicken. The regular were entirely without breading of any kind, just simple chicken skin with sauce poured over.

The wings here were pretty good. Had the traditional 10pc wings for $13 and had the smoked bourbon and BBQ-sweet flavors and both were good. I wasn't a fan of the price, but the wings were good and would recommend this place!

We ordered takeout and got: traditional smoked bourbon (my favvv), sweet chili (second fav), hot, and garlic parm. They were all delicious and very well sauced - I barely dipped the wings in ranch (yes I like wings with ranch and not blue cheese). I personally wasn't too impressed with the garlic parm, I was expecting a more intense flavor, but it was still decent. The wings aren't too crispy (too fried) which is good. We didn't really care for the mac n cheese bites though- they were ehh. Would definitely come back for wings!

Buffalo Bill's backer bar! The food came out super quick. The tater tots were delicious. Wings were pre cooked and tasted as such. One of us ordered hot wing sauce and the other medium and both orders tasted the same. Walls are painted grey-why? Paint them red and blue and add more Bill's memorabilia. Please keep the front door closed when it's cold out! I ate with my coat on. Everyone we encountered were super friendly. The cashier was even from Buffalo!

I like that you can order via the website for an in-person order.

They’re definitely buffalo wings and proper ones at that. Not sure what the comment saying they weren’t was all about. Bone in cooked completely perfect and hot Wong’s were not but not too hot. One star off was for the service...just slow and unaware. I’m sure that’ll improve with time and I will be happy to give that star when I visit again as I do intend to do.

When they opened I could say with certainty they were top notch. Lately, and especially since the pandemic, orders were chewy and undercooked for my taste in spite of repeated special instructions for well done. Shame. As the service otherwise is fab, the sauces perfect and bleu cheese tasty and chunky (but no celery) wings a tad on the larger side, a minus, but at present sadly falling short.

Average wings that are way too pricey. I ordered mild and there was no sauce on them. The waiter said because they were buttery the sauce didnt stick. I didnt drink, but they had decent beer specials.

Delivery was fast but inferno and hot sauce was not hot at all. Also the blue cheese sause was not blue or cheesy. It was a mix of processed oil and grout.

The wings were soft, pretty good taste but with soggy skin. I prefer the wings to have some crispness so partly a preference but even so it was mediocre at best.

Good price, atmosphere and staff. These wings are fried and do not retain the juices from the meat. They were dry and tasteless by themselves.

Use to be so much better before i got mild and sweet thai chili. The mild wings i didnt like the taste of the sauce tasted bad like if the sauce was expired. I ordered garlic parm fries and they didnt even add the garlic parm seasoning to the fries. Sweet thai chili wings were decent. Not a place i would really return to.

I was heavily disappointed in this place. We chose it for a chill Friday night dinner and it just wasn’t that good. Despite it being Valentine’s Day, they weren’t that busy yet we sat ourselves and had to wait several mins and another customer who came in after us was tended to first. Then when we got our food, the boneless wings were way too salty (we got hot and lemon pepper) and the fried pickles as well were too salty. They get two stars because the traditional wings were good and so were the onion rings. I don’t expect to be back here, but if you really want to come I would avoid the boneless and be careful with the sauces.

I used to enjoy the food here and was a regular customer, always ordering the same thing. However, my most recent visit was completely unacceptable. They deep fried my wings twice to make them "extra crispy" even though I never requested this. When I asked why they would do that without my permission, they had no answer. When I asked if they prepare everyone's food this way, they said no. The wings tasted like hard, greasy cardboard—absolutely disgusting. When I confronted them about it, the employee told me I should have specifically asked them NOT to make it that way. This makes no sense whatsoever, especially since the menu doesn't even offer an "extra crispy" option. This isn't the first time either. On a previous visit, the same woman at the counter asked me if I quote "wanted them extra crispy gurl." First of all, I'm not a "girl"—I'm a 41-year-old woman. Secondly, just because I'm Black does not mean my food needs to be prepared any differently than the standard recipe. They made me pay full price for food I didn't order, which was inedible. This treatment felt discriminatory and disrespectful. I used to be a loyal customer, but I will not be returning. What they did was absolutely ridiculous.

Wings didn't taste good, too much sauce. Myself and everyone I was with have been sick because they were also obviously undercooked.

Order showed up with 1/2 of the chicken fingers ordered. 2x 3 fingers which should have been 2x 6 fingers. Picked up becuase the delivery fees are insane (but thats a curse to the entire food delivery system.) Called and they said I could pickup more or get a refund. They refused to deliver their mistake. Then they hung up. Called back and all of a sudden the refund will take 3 days because 'the manager' isn't there. Call back to check if the refund came through. I met Dan years ago when this was a mom & pop operation, nice guy . Now it's a nightmare.

I got super bad food poisoning from dan johns wings. Never go here the wings suck I got 3 different flavors and only one was eatable. Easily the worst wing place in NYC and they dont have beer.

The food is good, but this is now the 5th time I’ve ordered wings and again the 5th time it has taken almost 2 hours to get delivered.... oh and I live 8 blocks away -___- If you want delivery here for dinner, order it at lunch, it’ll be there in time for when you get home from work!!!

Very disappointing.. I looked this place up before my trip to New York. I figured the owners being from Buffalo where good wings are made they would know how to make extra crispy wings. The wings came out in 5 minutes not even close to crispy. I sent them back. I think they just made new wings and they came back less crispy then the first ones. I ordered pizza logs and they came burnt. I asked them for not burnt ones and they came back not burnt but cold in the middle.. I just left at that point. So sad.
