Great staff and great food. Come here if you want a meat carnival. The taste is kind of sweet but that's the korean style so be prepared. FYI, we often arrive at 5:30pm on Friday to avoid waiting in line.

Very authentic Korean BBQ, so many delicious sides. The meat was excellent, but the best part is the service... exceptional! Friendly, attentive, fun.

One of my favorite kbbq places in NYC. Their signature grill has corn and egg around the side and you can get it refilled. The meat quality is delicious and they give plenty of sides. You can get on line with Yelp since there's usually a long wait.

Came here couple months ago on a cold winter day when indoor dining was not available. Nervous about the outdoor seating but it ended up being great. Forgot we were outside!!! We got a 2 person special with pork belly, 1 ribeye and 1 other item, was a fatty type of meat. It was ok, we were plenty stuffed at the end, but it kind of felt expensive or over priced for the types of meat included, approx $90. Service is consistent and efficient. Definitely trying melon makgeolli next time ;)

This is my favorite Korean bbq place in ktown. The side dishes are great and they have lots of goodies with the combos. Don't hesitate to ask for more egg and cheese corn.

It's now one of my fav KBBQ places in NYC. Loved the grill design where you can steam eggs and make melted cheese w/ corn at the same time. The meat quality was great. We ordered the seafood pancake which was delicious too. There was a person who helped us grill the meat, but because the restaurant was understaffed he's always a bit late to tend to our grill. We wouldn't mind grilling the meat ourselves but we weren't sure if he wanted us to do that.

Superior, food & service. We arrived mid afternoon & we were immediately treated to gracious service as it was an in between time. Our server, John, led us through the menu as we are rookies w Korean BBQ. The experience was delightful, delicious, & worth every bit of the cost.

Hosted an amazing group dinner here in their private room! There was no additional charge for the room, just had to pick a preset menu and pay beforehand. Really good pricing for the high quality food and service. The staff was so fun and very attentive, made sure that everyone was well-fed and happy. This is my fave kbbq spot in ktown

OMG! This barbecue experience changed my life. I like how the staff members look after you and guide the whole thing well without being intrusive. It’s not the cheapest restaurant, but it’s worth it.

This is the best Korean BBQ place I’ve been. Wow. The people were great. The food was AMAZING. The prices decent. The cocktails were AMAZING. I can’t wait to come back. Thank you for such an amazing experience!

Fun diner spot with really delicious Korean food! You pick out your containers and can microwave them yourself. All the food is prepared fresh that day at the restaurant. I loved what I got and would happily come back in again.

One of the best korean BBQ in town. Located in Korea town. Easy to find and lots of seats available. Meat quality is unbelievable. Recommend beef brisket, marinated short rib, and pork belly. Chum churum Soju and Hite beer is a great combo. Make sure you ask for some lemon. Price is very reasonable. Great value. Staffs are helpful and provide good service. Hope to come back again soon. Must try!

The meat here is really good. It’s definitely quality. We enjoyed all of the size and the kimchi stew. The yuzu iced tea is amazing too. Definitely recommend if your looking for quality Korean bbq. It is going to be pricey but it’s worth it.

It was great the servers cook your meat. It gives you the opportunity to focus eating. We had sonu beer and the meat package special they had. The side dishes were all good and if you want more ask for more. If you want rice you do have to ask for it

We ordered the beef platter. The sides (ban chan) were on par!! The beef just melted in your mouth!! Literally the tastiest Kbbq that i have had. The soup was delish as well. The servers cooked for you as well👍👍

The bbq here is so good. We ordered the chef's combo, were getting full by the time the pork belly was done. But everything got better when the short rib was out, meat was juicy and super flavorful, and they never skimped out on the banchan.

This probably the best no frills Korean bbq in NYC. They are a bit pricy but they do serve good quality meat. We also tried the soup .. they are just ok .. so if you come here just stick with the bbq.

Managed to grab dinner on a Sunday night at Baekjeong. Reservations are made on Yelp which makes the waitlist and return time very easy. I dined upstairs and got the Favorite Combo. Our server, Will, was incredibly helpful and friendly when it came to cooking and refilling side dishes. We got to try the yuzu iced tea and Pom fizz which were both really refreshing. Can’t wait to pay another visit!

C

Went here on a Friday night—definitely recommend making a reservation because it’s popular and gets busy. The banchan was already prepared and served on the table when we got seated in the upstairs area, which was awesome. We tried the beef and pork BBQ combo for 2 people with melon makgeolli. The BBQ was really good and we loved the egg and cheese corn on the side of the main grill. The makgeolli tasted just like Melona pops, which was awesome. Food and drinks were pricey, but service was great and everything was high quality. We’ll definitely be back!

Very nice Korean BBQ restaurant. Very vivid place, a little bit loud music but you just need to get with the wave. Tried 3 different meats, all tested great. Tender and you can finish them as needed. Waitress were all nice and helpful.

If you're in Newyork you shouldn't miss this place. Visited by korean actors & even hollywood stars. If you love korean bbq this place is a must visit when in Newyork. The staffs were also very accommodating

Excellent Korean barbecue. Terrific kimchi soup. Spectacular bonchon. Don’t worry about not knowing what to do or how to cook the food. They will cook it for you and walk you through the process.

Ok if you go for the bbq is not cheap but wow, so worth it. We went on a Friday night without a reservation and was super busy, but we joined and online queue and we could just went for a drink as they would let us know by text message when to come back. They said it would take at least an hour but around 30 minutes later our table was ready. Vibes were amazing and the experience felt like being in Seoul. They gave free banchans, and we tried the Ho Dong's favorite meat set, as well as japchae. Japchae was delicious, but oh my God, the meat quality was absolutely incredible. Tasted so so amazing. We spent about 80$ each and was worth every penny. Also, service was great, super fast and they were really attentive. Best dinner we had in New York!

A

It’s pricy and definitely for special occasions but it’s good. I think the extra dollars you’re paying is worth it because the service is great. I don’t mind it because then you can focus on eating and talking instead of making sure you cook everything correctly. For sure the DIY aspect is fun but sometimes you just want to eat. The estimated wait time for 2 on a Saturday night around 8pm was an 1 and 15 minutes, actual wait time was closer to 2 hours. We were seated upstairs and all of the side dishes were already prepped. Everything was refilled before we even needed to ask. I would come here again. Update: be prepared to shout a lot since it’s very loud with the music. Probably best with a group with more than 4.

J

AMAZING FOOD! Huge portions, wide variety of meats and sides. The staff is very friendly and running around your table asking if everything is OK (and if you have enough meat on your table) every couple of minutes. But the best part of it is the interior: tables have their own grill where you cook your meat yourself and have it as soon as it's ready and basically you feel like you were in Korea for a while.

Great place. Not as pricey as I thought compared to the others on the same street. We were craving Korean BBQs that day and this was the only place where we didn't need to wait for more than 10 mins. Very efficient and nice service. The only con is the place is very noisy and hard to talk to my friend

• large beef package - just right for a party of four. got lost in which meat was what but just know they were all soft and cooked without fault. • yuzu grapefruit cocktail - could use a lil more acidity. it’s more grapefruit than yuzu but very pretty. notes took my mom, and two younger siblings out for mother’s day. arrived at 11:44a and no one was there, the moment it inched closed to 12a, people started lining behind real quick. i appreciate the server as he answered our questions and tended to our needs with haste. overall, an all rounder. i’d like to come back and try the meals as well.

My mom’s favorite kbbq spot. The waitstaff were attentive and courteous. The premium beef and pork were delicious. The seafood soup was average/not as flavorful as the rest of the meal. I couldn’t stop eating the radishes- so perfectly pickled!!!

Very popular at all times for good reasons, this Korean bbq joint really hits the spot. We shared the small beef plate which came with the complimentary sides (as is typical with Korean fare), along with a spicy but delicious brisket soup. The service here is quite good, friendly staff that does not attempt to rush you out like with other Korean spots. I’d recommend going at slightly off times to avoid the massive crowds (we still waited close to 30min at 4pm). But it’s worth the wait regardless of the time you go!

Absolutely excellent, authentic Korean BBQ! I came for lunch on a Friday and there was no wait. The waiter was friendly and explained all the food items for me since I am still relatively new to Korean cuisine. He also helped prepare the meat so that we did not ruin it. I will definitely come back again.

I always come to have my Korean BBQ fix here when I visit NY. Great food, service and atmosphere. They actually help you cook the meat. Definitely recommend.

OMG the best Korean BBQ I've ever had! Food quality is excellent and staff very friendly. As usual, they will bring the food and different to other Korean places (those I've been to, although they were in London and not NYC) they will cook the meat for you. The beef is AWESOME and better than in other steak houses I have been before. The menu is quite extensive. Try to get a group menu for 3+ people otherwise it can be expensive. Good selection of beers too. Very friendly staff and the place is very well located in Midtown. You only can book for groups (4+ people if memory serves) so if going on your own or 1-2 friends try to go before 7 pm. It gets very crowded otherwise and may have to wait an hour to be seated, which is a lot in winter! Oh typing this made me feel hungry! Recommended. Oct 1st, 2018 update: like the seventh time I come here and can only say this only gets better and better. Can't remember the name but the marinated beef we had was outstanding and super tasty, best I ever had. Everything else was very good as usual, and staff very friendly and competent. Money spent if you eat in this place.

Food was excellent and service was great. The side dishes were unlimited so you can get as many as you need. I ordered the combo meat but it was too much. If I come back, I would order just the ribeyes.

Officially hooked to the experience, taste a d service of this amazing location. My one regret was not taking everyone's names down. The service from the entrance, to ordering and recommendations, was all amazing. Our waiter took us by the hand on our new flavor-bursting journey. Love the variety of flavors and dishes We ordered the Large beef combo with fried dumplings. Will return for more.

Everytime I come to NY, I always come here! I can always count on the amazing service and great food. Got the beef combo large plus a seafood pancake and it was just the right amount of food for 4 for everyone to feel comfortably full.

WOW! The atmosphere and food of this place is amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the set up is so convenient and amazing. We ordered the pork & beef combo and along with that you get the two salads, egg, cheese and corn, and banchan. Our servers were very kind and helpful and the table setup vacuums up the smoke which is wonderful as well. Baekjeong is definitely worth stopping by!

Baekjeong had the BEST Korean barbecue we've ever had. We got their beef combo and the staff helped us cook it perfectly! their seafood pancake is also to die for with a perfect crunchy texture.

Pricey but great Korean bbq. Recommend ordering a bbq set or a la carte but do not miss out on ordering galbi! The galbi here was on point and we added a second bbq dish of pork jowl (cheeks). Both were tasty and the accompanied dipping sauces were a great pairing. Also the complementary side dishes were tasty and refillable. Service was great with everything cooked to perfection. Loved that the side of the grill also has an egg and cheese corn side that u can eat while waiting for the bbq

A fantastic experience and a delicious meal. Visited here with my wife and mother/father in law who flew from Indianapolis to see us and we went here after a busy day in the city. Friendly staff on arrival and lots of menu choice. Staff then cooked the meat on the table hob to our liking and this was very well done. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for something a little different. If you’re like me and can’t use chopsticks, they do hand out cutlery :D

Went here for lunch with a friend not long after open on a Thursday place had plenty of people already seated which is always a good sign. Had the chef's combo the meat was exceptionally high quality and the overall service was very hospitable. First time seeing corn cheese and despite normally disliking corn it was absolutely amazing. Overall felt classy yet cozy would recommend experiencing Korean BBQ with Baekjeong atleast once would definitely come back

One of my favorite Korean bbq places in NYC. For 4 people, we got the beef and pork combo (the larger size). It was the perfect amount. Plus the marinated boneless short rib (kalbi) at the end was amazing. I’ve come here multiple times and they never disappoint.

N
Nancy

Hands down best KBBQ I've ever had in my life. Granted, I've never been to Korea, but this is going to raise the bar for when I do go. The combo with brisket, samgyeopsal, and marinated Kalbi is the way to go for a group of 4. Highly recommend ordering mul-naengmyeon to help cut the grease as well. Love that they already have cheese corn and steamed egg included on the sides of the actual grill. Service was impeccable. Prices are very reasonable for NYC. Expect a wait or book a reservation even for weekdays. I'm definitely come back.

First time at a Korean BBQ , we were originally looking for Miss Korea BBQ , but they caught our eye .😂 They said the menu was down & to come back in 20 minutes. I was hungry af, so my wife and I are contemplating if we should wait or not, so we walk back up 5th and one of the workers told us the table was ready I ordered pomegranate sangria (had a very strong after taste) my wife ordered a pear lemonade with vodka, we ordered the chefs meat Combo (beef & pork) The food was amazing , the flavors complemented each other very well . I’m not a big flavors guy either but this was different . It was so healthy , they have this corn and cheese (one free refill) is too die for 🫕, my mouth is watering just talking about it . A really great time I recommend it 5/5

This was a totally cool experience. My husband and I were walking around Koreatown and bumped into a funny image of a heavyset man on the wall. We noticed it was a restaurant and that’s what honestly attracted us to go there. As soon as we walked in it was really crowded, the door is extremely heavy, it’s actually hilarious how heavy it is. We were told we had to wait 15 to 20 minutes, which is fine we were in no rush. As we waited, we were looking at the wall with all the pictures of famous artists, musicians, actors, etc that would come and eat here. There’s also a map on a different wall with the image of the funny man plastered all over simulating their different locations all over the world. Once we were seated the table was all set with the different ingredients and the hostess was very nice. The menu had a lot of options we chose a three meat option with kimchi soup. We had sirloin beef and ribs, it was very filling. It was fun to watch The meet sizzle in front of us and we add the salt while we eat salad and soup, the time flew by us. I definitely recommend this place 100%.

M
Mary Dutczak

I came here during lunch hrs on a weekend because it just open so it was not as crowded which was good for me. When I was saw on the table, they had all the side dishes, eggs and ready for us. The service was so amazing, they cooked the meat, even cut the meat and asked us how we liked the meat. I ordered the marinated short ribs, and the way they cooked the short ribs just melted in your mouth and it was absolutely delicious. The service was great throughout the meal time. I also got vegetables pancakes and it's nothing like the one in Boston and it was crispy on the outside and chewy in the side. The portions of pancakes can serves up to more than 3 people and just come here with empty stomach and you sure to leave full in your stomach.

Very distinctive Korean barbecue. There are a large number of side dishes, including cheese corn and egg. In addition, the price of the barbecue platter is very competitive in this area. The barbecue platter comes with a bowl of kimchi soup! Despite this, every type of meat is impeccable. The staff are very professional and friendly! For me, it's the best and most traditional choice for eating Korean barbecue.

J
James Deng

This is my favorite kbbq spot in NYC for sure. It's pricey but you get what you paid for, the quality is definitely a notch above the competition and they have the egg and corn and cheese cooking along side the grill. The bonchon is good as well except for the kimchi sadly.

We ordered bbq combo (prime rib, pork belly and marinated beef) for 2-3 people, kimchi soup, japchae and pork skin. Corn cheese and egg are complimentary and served on grill. Staffs are friendly, they grilled and served bbq. The side dishes (banchan) are variety and delicious. Recommended this place in NYC. 👍

Just like Korea! But with snake river farms beef and ibérico pork premium cuts. My fav in k town for BBQ, LOVE the scallion pancake, naengmyeon cold noodles, steak tartare and spicy rice cakes. For meat cuts, the thin flower sliced pork belly, pork jowl, ibérico pork collar, marinated shortrib, thinly sliced brisket, honey and garlic cubed boneless shortrib and snake river farms center cut boneless shortrib. Their signature grill is surrounded by corn cheese and steamed egg moats.

Amazing EVERYTHING! Service - waited 45 minutes for a table, efficient waiting process, you can wait outside with temperature controlled seating space. Staff was super friendly and helpful (especially if you’re a first timer!). They explained everything and how to use the side dishes to combine the flavor profiles. 10/10. Food - While this is not all you can eat, there is great value for money. You can easily opt for a 2 person meal and have 3 persons fill up comfortably. Great cuts of meat, marinated well. Shoutout to the Kimchi Soup for that flavor explosion! Environment/Ambiance - 2 floors, bigger groups are segmented into separate tables. While smaller groups are typically sharing a large table with individual grills. Can be a tad bit cramped.

Been around a couple kbbq places but here seemed a great mix of casual but a lot of attention to detail. As they’re a chain, their system is pretty well put together and their banchans are super solid. If it’s not busy they’ll help cooking everything for you. Would recommend the galbi as the marinade was much better imo than others around the area. The meat prices are kinda high but the portions are larger than expected so I guess that makes up for it. Cold noodles were just acceptable. Would definitely recommend for a kbbq experience that maybe isn’t too upscale. Can’t book unless a group of 6 or more and it gets super super busy in evenings so either go at lunch or be prepared to wait.

After a poor Korean BBQ experience for my first time in Chicago, it was relieving to go somewhere else and see how good it CAN be. They do the cooking for you (which I do still wish I could do it myself), tons of classic sides at the table ready for us in advanced, and all 3 meats of our course were delicious! Great Korean seafood pancake loaded with shrimp and squid as well - HUGE, thick, and amazing.

Robert Young

Great Korean BBQ restaurant. Well worth the 45 min wait to get a table! They move like an engine and is def one of the best in the city for the tableside grilling experience. The meats are still delicious, fresh and tender; even with the price going up. The sides are delicious. It was a good experience from what I remember from previous times being here and I was not disappointed to bring someone here for their first time. We really enjoyed our meal and a chance to indulge. The cheesy corn 🧀 🌽 is really tasty if you like cheese corn. If you like beef and want good Korean BBQ then this is the restaurant you want to be in. For a date, a reunion, or you’re just hungry; this is the spot! They also have outdoor seating. 😋 🥩 🍖 😎

The price is definitely worth the meat quality! Got the mixed combo of pork and beef for two people and it was definitely enough food. The banchan options were varied and delicious and more than enough. I wish they provided bigger lettuce leaves and other greens for wrapping meat. You also need to order rice on the side if that’s you’re thing to enjoy meat with! The combo started with thinly sliced beef brisket followed by premium pork belly and ended with marinated short rib. The short rib was the BEST! So tender, juicy and well-marinated - enjoy it with some white rice, perfect! Come earlier before 7 pm for dinner to avoid the lines!

Visited three times since March. Best Korean bbq in Manhattan so far! Each time we ordered the large beef&pork set and the Udon. The set comes with short ribs, pork belly and beef slices. It’s a great combination, meats are delicious. The Udon with pork and squid is also a must-try for us. Pretty good. But I have to say it’s a little bit expensive. The large meat set, which was supposed for 4-5, was actually a smaller plate but costs $130. Every time my gf and I ended up over $100 per person after tax and tips. The other thing is it’s really hard to get a seat, even during workday nights. We once waited for almost an hour before seated. But that’s nothing to complain since it shows that it’s popular. Overall amazing so 5/5. Will recommend to friends and will always come back lol.

Ummm I’ve never had so many sides in one sitting. This lunch was stellar. First, my life is far better with Pear Lemonade in it. Next, the short rib was delish without any flavors but then I had fun with different sauces. Crisp fresh salad so I didn’t feel as guilty about my entire red meat meal and because I love hot foot (temp), I thoroughly enjoyed grill as you go dining. My first time trying cheese & corn but not my last and the speedy service was just what I needed on a cold rainy day. Must come back with a group! Excellent! Kiss the cook. Well, I was the cook but yeah!

My partner and I took my parents here and we all loved it. We ordered the combo that serves four people and we all left happy and full. The atmosphere is awesome, the wait staff very attentive and helpful. The best thing about this place was the food though. The best Korean barbecue I’ve had to date.

Favorite BBQ restaurant in NYC. Best banchan variety and sauces. I had the chef’s pick but the meat cuts were not the best so I might stick to individual items next time. Kimchi soup was incredible. I personally like that you are not served rice because we eat meat! I recommend, since the outdoor seating has ventilation unlike most of NYC’s unsafe “outdoor” dining. Service is fast and unbelievably attentive with so much going on. Thank you!

This is a quite popular place. We have waited about 2 hours before be seated. We ordered their “Summer Set” which includes pork belly, beef brisket and lots of side dishes. Service was quick and efficient. Flavours were great as expected, identical to the one I had in LA. You can save time by joining their wait list on Yelp before going.

Good service - we were informed that if we stay outside the food comes already cooked. The food was delicious and we got some extras added to our order. The pork belly was a bit too fat for my taste.

Popular Korea bbq in NYC. Korean food seems to be really popular here and some Korean told me the best Korean food is now in NY and not in Seoul. 🔥

The Kimchi-jjigae was way too spicy. Didn’t taste anything besides crazy heat. Other than that, all the other sides were delicious, as was the meat. You’re also better off ordering a carafe if you’re going to have a drink. I had the melon makgeolli cocktail and the pomegranate sangria. Very strong, not much flavor other than just the alcohol taste

Had a great time. BBQ meat for 2 was enough food for 4 people. You're probably going to be a wait to be seated but they take your phone number and text you so you can wonder off and grab a drink or whatever nearby.

While the wait time was maybe less than ideal, the food more than made up for it. The selection and quality of food was great!! On top of that, the severs were friendly and attentive. I will definitely be coming back!

Very decent food and has great selection of steak(beef). The setup and the vibe of this place really reminded me of the good old time when I visited Korea. Would recommend going with a large group of people though, because the single item is quite pricy. It will make more sense to share with group and try as many options as possible.

The korean bbq was nice and had a good assortment of flavours. Service was also good. My issue was with the beef —> i found if to be a bit too chewy, like uncomfortable to chew although overall the flavours were alright!

High quality Korean Barbeque. Seafood pancake was uniquely tasty. Good service. Delicious but nothing fancy. Not worth the price in my opinion.

This place used to taste better before pandemic. The wait was so long so we opt out for out door seating. The only difference is that the meat is being brought from the kitchen so the customers don’t have to cook and is ready to eat. The side dishes tasted okay compared to the last time I’ve been here. The pork belly and prime beef rib was super delicious. I would recommend eating indoor if possible.

Very good location, authentic Korean street side restaurant environment, portion and price reasonable. Seasoning and preserving bit over. All in all worth visiting alone or with friends. Meat quality deserves thumb up.

Amazing Korean BBQ! Just truly worth every penny. Some meats might be a tad bit chewy. But great staff, great service ;)

When we got to our table, the small salads were already laid out for us: romain lettuce with vinaigrette dressing, kimchi, tofu, tofu skin, bean sprouts. We ordered the small beef bbq combo for $79. They grill the meats at our table. The first two items were not marinated, and had to be seasoned with salty bean, salt or soy-vinegar dip which were also set on out table before we sat down. Our order came with a bowl of clam and beef soup, but it was served towards the end of our meal. The grill contained slots which were filled with scrambled eggs and a corn/cheese chowder. You can tell that they use high quality beef. Service is excellent. My husband ordered 1 beer, and the hefty $111 tag price for 2 people (tip included) along with the loud piped-in music are the only reasons I am not giving this restaurant 5 stars.

Really great place for Korean BBQ. While they don't have too many options they do have a good variety and the meats were good quality. The combo options are a good deal and I'd recommend going for one of those. The sides were great here, particularly liked the cabbage kimchi. They also have a decent selection of sojus that aren't expensive. Service is good as well - friendly and attentive.

The waiting time for a table can be quite long but the food is good and service is great. The meat is delicious, the sides are perfect (the cheese corn and the salad were my favorite), the sauce is one of the best.

Weekend trip to NYC And this Korean bbq spot was great. Good food. Our party split small chef combo and was just enough for the three of us. Banchan was plentiful. Only thing is we were wait listed and when we were brought up they only had outdoor (covered) seating available. The line for inside was an addition 30-45min wait. Overall good service and food!

Casual Korean BBQ on two different floors. Efficient management and good service. Accommodating to food allergies. Unmarinated brisket and ribeye were good. Side dishes were ok but nothing to write home about. Pricey but then again Korean BBQ generally is. Combo pricing can save some money but those are marinated meats.

The food was delicious, but we were rushed out at the end. I understand they need the table, so we paid the bill and left. We got the Hodong’s Favorite Combo, which was the beef and pork combo. Food was very good. My favorite was of course the marinated beef short rib. I recommend u give it a try.. Just be prepared to eat and run if it’s a busy night.

Baekjeong is one of the top Korean BBQ restaurants in NYC. Kimchi pancakes and glass noodles are delicious / my favorite appetizers every time. The combo meals are a no brainer. Meat quality is above average compared to the rest of Korean BBQ restaurants in the area. Wonderful staff that is quick to serve. The outdoor seating is great and almost preferred over the smoke inside that sticks to your clothing. Book reservations in advance as it tends to get busy!

Korean bbq the way you want it. It’s spicy, it’s firey, and it’s delicious. Great late night spot, if you’ve gotten everything but the bbq in New York, don’t miss this spot. Everyone should try a classic Korean bbq place in New York at least once, and this is a great choice.

Given that I've never had Korean BBQ before, this place was a pretty good introduction! The staff seemed courteous and the restaurant seating area appeared clean. The meat (short rib and beef tongue) was DELICIOUS and remarkably soft. The other accompaniments were flavorful as well. In the future, I plan to take friends who haven't been before as I'll definitely be returning. Go check them out!

The food was the best thing in this place, that is what gets 4 stars, nicely cooked and a full experience for someone not having visited a Korean barbecue before. The atmosphere was really loud and full of fumes, they could need better ventilation. When leaving the owner almost bullied us into giving the tip they wanted which made a very bad impression because the waiters were very polite.

More young people oriented Korean BBQ. The meat quality was decent. Fairly good selection of beef and pork. Cold noodles were over cooked. I do not suggest it. Lunch on the weekend was not too busy.

Really cool spot and experience. The food was good very flavorful the meats and steaks were tender. Only reason for not 5 stars was the drinks were slow and inconsistent and the atmosphere was a bit loud and chaotic. Otherwise great time.

Authentic Korean bbq! great selection of marinated meat/beef cuts and side dishes. The service is efficient but their attitude could be more welcoming or friendly.

Iconic Korean BBQ! Can't go wrong with any of items in Korean barbecue. We ordered a 4 people combo. For 4 girls, the food is enough. The side dish is free! The service is pretty good btw! Not sure if they serve dessert. My friend order the dish and I paid it lol

Great and friendly service. The quality of the meat is good but the prices are really high. The beef brisket is cut with just enough fat to give it great beef flavor. The marinade of the galbi is perfect balance of sweetness. The pork belly is cut almost too thick. It is hard get the thick cut crispy.

In a Korean BBQ experience, I would say the most important thing is the quality of the meats and I'd say the quality here is slightly above average. There is one big flaw though... they don't season any of their meats which makes pretty much every meat they cook taste bland. I found myself pouring salt on every meat that we ordered which I did not appreciate at all. Sides were fresh and tasted great. We also ordered dumplings and a rice dish which were both tasty. Service was fast and the servers were friendly. It's definitely on the pricey side but I can understand it since it's a totally different experience than a regular dining experience. Oh, and also lower the volume of music for god's sake. I don't want to shout every time down to get my words across.

Everything here was just ok, like average. I went there around 9pm to avoid the crowd but the wait was still around 40 minutes. Unlike other Korean restaurants, they don’t refill your side dishes unless you ask multiple times. I did ask for more fish cake and they just never brought it to my table. The beef was decent, but other dishes like Kimchi soup was alright. Overall, not really worth the hype and the money.

I enjoyed the meal. Beef combo for two. Good food. It’s on the pricy end. And plenty to eat. Staff are decent. Though. I wish I could do the bbq myself. It’s almost like a rush every time. They cook it and get all done. And you rush to eat it before it’s burnt . It’s not like we’re not paying for a decent amount. I guess when you’re popular and have been standing for a reputation for a long time w celebrities pictures and signatures. I guess you can do what you as a restaurant *shrugs*

Wouldn't go back. -Went here at 4pm on a Sunday to avoid long wait. Put my name on the wait list and got a table in 5 min. -Ordered beef combo and chose prime short rib (not marinaded). -Thinly sliced beef brisket was good. -Plain short rib was fresh but lacked beefy flavor. The server burnt the meat so it tasted bitter. -Marinaded short rib was waaay too sweet and tasted like beef candy. The flavors were not balanced well. -Rice was dry and tasted old. -Kimchi was sweet even though it was well fermented. They probably put too much sugar in the seasoning. Texture of the cabbage was a bit mushy. -Soy bean paste stew was nicely seasoned, but I didn't like that they cooked in a beat up aluminum pot (toxic). -Ordered kimchi pancake but it came out after we finished the entire meal when I asked about it. They must have forgotten about the order. -Kimchi flavor was completely missing in the kimchi pancake. It was just salty and not acidic at all. -Corn cheese was dry and not seasoned. Cheese didn't melt till the end of the meal. -Steamed egg was seasoned okay. -This place is not worth the hype or the wait.

We ordered the beef combo for two ppl, and the portion is enough. However, only the marinated rib eye is worth to order. Sliced brisket and prime short rib are not recommended. The music is also played loud in the restaurant, so might need to speak louder.

I've been here 4 or 5 times at this point, with my latest visit (detailed below) being my first visit in almost 6 years. A lot has changed. 6 years ago, people crowded the sidewalk in the middle of winter to wait for a table. The restaurant itself every time was absolutely packed, and the staff would give a loud, boisterous greeting when you walked in. Today, on a breezy summer evening, there was no wait, a lot of empty tables, and no energetic greeting. If you don't eat USDA prime beef often, you might enjoy this place. For those who eat prime beef a lot or eat a lot of Korean BBQ at this price point, you'll be disappointed. We had the thinly sliced brisket, wagyu short rib, and Iberico pork collar. Despite picking the most expensive meats (aside from the brisket), nothing wowed us. The brisket was on the dryer side (though to their credit, was not the driest brisket I've had). The (American) wagyu short rib seemed to be exactly the same quality as the American wagyu you can get at H-Mart--in fact, both use the same supplier (SRF/Snake River Farms). The worst offense was the Iberico pork collar, which had a strong old pork smell which carried over to the taste. I had to overpower it with either the picked radish or the salads. In addition, the cooking technique of our particular server came across as pretty average and not as proficient as I remember 6 years ago. Back then, meat would be arranged and grilled in tidy rows and the temperature would be controlled up or down as needed. Today, the meat was just mixed together into a pile after cutting, and the heat was always on high--even after the food was "done", which led to dry meat, so we had to pull them off the steel plate. I say "done" in quotes because our server would actually leave the food more undercooked than other BBQ places I've been to--I guess to account for the fact that the heat would be left on high... But I'm not going to eat it undercooked, so why not just finish cooking and then drop the heat to low to keep it warm? I don't need the meat to be burning hot when I eat it. The banchan was good, but not so good to overshadow the meat. Plus, you don't usually go to BBQ for the banchan. Before tip, we paid about $190, which for the quality, makes this place a hard sell. (The LA locations are still super good, and I've been to one in the last year)

Not a positive visit from my and my family. It started with the 'bouncers' insisting that everyone in the party arrives before seating. Totally doesn't make sense since this isn't a timed buffet or very crowded anyways. We had to wait 1 hour to be seated in any case cos some of our party were stuck in traffic jam and then another got stuck at CVS cashier with issues he visited while waiting. We had an elderly grandma and a 3yo waiting in the cold for 1 hour. Yeah. Thanks for that. And 9 of us were led into a tiny room with one BBQ pit. Yes. 1 for 9....if you went alone. U get 1. If you went with 2 or 4 u get 1....for us...9 pax. We get 1 miserable BBQ station. Food is bleah. The staff comes to our table to cook for us and their cooking skills are a hit and miss. My beef short ribs weren't cooked well. Some were and some weren't. They just threw in a whole bunch of meat and hope they cooked consistently. Ridiculous and lazy if you asked me. Concept fail! I've not complained about food and service in the past 2.5 weeks we visited USA but this one leaves such a bad taste in the mouth I had to. Some dishes were acceptable at best but at these prices I expect much more . Won't be back!

The food was decent but for the price I wouldn’t go here as a “normal” person. The service was subpar. Read below if you want to hear it all. Very very pricey, make sure you bring money! None of us were full at the end of the night, so that was disappointing. We also waited awhile for a table (only people in line when we got there). Server wasn’t very nice. We told them we had one person who didn’t eat beef and she still directed us to a beef option! (Obviously, music was loud, people were loud, but she wasn’t paying any attention either). Food served very fast, and it seemed like they just wanted to rush us out. Didn’t tell us when our last order was done. Placed raw food onto our cooked food...? They just start cooking food when the last one is done and try to put everything on everyone’s plate. I don’t like that, as we had some dietary restrictions for our group. Seems like a rush thing, not used to it and never had it done for me in another Korean restaurant ever. The server(s) was inattentive and showed no attention or care. Water was finished quickly for our table of 6 and refills were slow. Did not ask us what kind of drinks we wanted. I wouldn’t really take any small children or family here because it’s just very adult oriented and doesn’t seem accommodating for families. Overall, such a poor experience here. Wish it was better but maybe it’s because I just can’t afford it, I guess that’s too bad.

The worst service I have ever experienced in Korean restaurants, the girl taking order had been always in a poker face, after our complaining to the guy when paying the bill, the guy showed a indifferent face as well, the food was fine only the rib was a little burned. The only thing I have to say is that there are bunch of choices around the community,be wise to choose a one with better service!
