Was in the area and glad to find a well-rated Chinese restaurant. Service was prompt, and the food was delicious. I was impressed by how thin the soup dumpling dough was - it was so delicate that a tiny pinch would reveal the juicy meat. We also ordered the crispy duck rolls, which combined my two favorite things in one - duck meat and spring rolls. For the entree, we opted to share a portion of the scallion beef dish. The flavor was spot on, and the portion was perfect for 2.
We ate only and all of the Dim Sum choices on the menu! They were all fantastic, with truly enjoyed!!! The pan fried, and the shrimp dumplings were the best! Very good overall - value for money!
Generous portions was provided. I was happily surprised by the food and my friend loved it so much that asked for place name Vegetarian options also available. Chrysanthemum tea for those who want herbal (naturally, no caffeine) options. They also have delivery and pick up. Super close to the 77th Street train station. If driving, may be tougher to get parking but there's the $12+ per half hour parking garages nearby. If you want to visit someone at the Lenox Hill hospital, there's that around the corner from too. Highly recommend.
I found impressive cooking here! We hold Tri Dim Shanghai [UES] Restaurant and Bar 鼎豐 in high regard! Restaurant team members showed particular accessibility and assistance. My plan is to visit often until I've tried everything they serve. Tri Dim Shanghai [UES] Restaurant and Bar 鼎豐 delivers consistently!
Every bite offers something worth savoring. The restaurant staff members are exceptionally friendly. Their cooking techniques produce remarkable results. This place has become my go-to spot. I return to this place regularly and it's always good.
this is definitely the best Chinese restaurant on the upper east side. Not that the upper East side is a great place to go for ethnic foods, but as far as what's available, this is about as good as it gets. I noticed on Chinese new year the place was filled with Chinese people which is a good sign. I usually end up getting a noodle, a beef or a chicken dish. All of those things are great. A vegetarian friend of mine got a vegetable based dish and it was also excellent. The atmosphere is very pretty and the service has always been good.
Every dish has its own distinct and perfect personality. The food delivers on both freshness and flavor. They mix refinement, modern design and flavor satisfaction. This restaurant shows remarkable quality. My visit was satisfying.
We walked by and stopped to eat by accident. The food was unexpectedly beyond amazing. Soup dumplings were the best I ever had in Manhattan, comparing to famous soup dumpling places. Simple stir fried veggie dishes were phanomenon! We were so impressed. The service was like five stars. In addition, its kid friendly! We had a stroller with us. We were able to park it next to our table. Overall was a wonderful experience. We have been going back there again and again for soup dumplings almost every other week.
Overall it’s an ok experience. We didn’t find the meals authentic. We ordered xiaolongbao, crispy noodle with chicken, twice cooked pork. Patrons were decent. Mostly non-Asian. So you know what that means: Americanized. But the place was clean and service was professional (quick and attentive). If you’re not looking for ‘real’ Shanghainese or Sichuan food, you might be ok with this place.
Decent spot on the UES for dim sum. Nice atmosphere which reminded me of places in Hong Kong. Had the xiaolongbao, turnip pastries, har gow, and shu mai. My favorite was the har gow, full of fresh shrimp. On the other end, the xiaolongbao were a bit lacking in soup, but overall a nice place I’d return to.
Very pleasant Dim sum restaurant for lunch and dinner. The selection of dim sum dishes is very wide, the dishes are served quickly as usual in dim sum restaurants should preform. If you do not have the strength to travel all the way to Chinatown then this is a great place in UES Manhattan to enjoy authentic Chinese food at reasonable prices.
For dinner I had the minced chicken with corn soup. Its mild flavor was pleasing. For my main course I ordered what is listed on the menu as braised soft bean curd with mushrooms and bamboo shoots (pictured fried), $17. The bean curd is offered fried or soft, the tastier of the two is the fried one, I have enjoyed both, the fried one more than the soft. On another evening visit to the restaurant, I had beef with broccoli ($22). The beef was tender, but had no flavor, it had all been cooked away. A little of the flavor was in the juice that came with the dish. The beef dish came with a choice of white or brown rice. The broccoli was tender and tasty.
My boyfriend and I came here after a 10:30am showing of Avengers End Game and let me say, it really hit the spot! Our waiter recommended the crispy beef, fried rice, soup dumplings, prawns and scallops. All were winners but the stand out was the crispy beef! So full of flavor with the perfect amount of crisp! We also ordered the peking crispy duck roll and the BBQ ribs. The duck roll was big enough to share and full of that decedent duck flavor. Overall we had a great time and really enjoyed our meal and I loved my cocktail!
I have frequented this establishment several times over the last 2 years. Each time the experience worsens. The staff is very arrogant and not friendly at all. The food is mostly frozen the the Duck is quite FOUL-TASTING / GAMEY. It is a shame as the room is somewhat nice. This establishment is doing 80% takeout theses days; the restaurant goers are more of a nuisance. The expectation for any gratuity is quite obnoxious and shameful from the staff- There are plenty of Asian establishments that serve better food and have a deeper appreciation for the guest.
Respectfully, because reviews can be someone's livelihood for the restaurant's employees especially in this economy... but the food, absolutely horrendous & overpriced. Can honestly say the food @ the "hood" corner chinese spots are on the same level or even better because those combinations are cheaper. Hopefully, the restaurant can do better - food & just overall vibe was with the servers & a particular hostess... doubtful because the neighborhood may not know better & think that quality of chinese food is acceptable. Godspeed
