Welcome addition to the neighborhood with a great atmosphere, friendly service and great tacos.
So good!!! Service was perfect and food was so good. Will be back!!
Friendly and fun service with delicious food!
Fantastic tacos and cocktails!
Awesome food and staff!
Great shrimp tacos
Stopped in last night while I was in the neighborhood. Kindest staff and owner, great food and drinks and vibe. Will be back!
The food here was really yummy. Nicely presented and packed with flavor. Also the limeade was PERFECTLY mixed. Not too sweet or sour. That’s rare. We were there on a very busy night so they had a no substitution policy.( I have my protein on the side so my vegetarian friend can taste my dish and since it was packed they could not do this.) But they handled the crowd well and I would be happy to go back! It was delicious.
Amazing tacos and immaculate drinks. Highly recommend the chorizo flautas and the Beso Rojo with mezcal. Our server Luis was super attentive and friendly.
Great tacos. Friendly staff. Great margaritas. What else can you ask for?
Amazing food and super friendly service! Birria and al pastor tacos were great. Will be back soon!
Best tacos so fresh you can really feel they are made with love and quality great service best tacos I have had in nyc
Louis is so kind, took care of us and recommended very nice tacos. Beautiful place.
Tacos were so good! Pepino cocktail is my love. And btw the place is stylish!
Great tacos and appetizers! I went yesterday and the drinks are well done, service is friendly and prompt! This place is stunning!
New taco spot in hk, pescado tacos were crunchy and flavorful. Marg was yum!
Good and drinks excellent, but Jairo was incredible!!! Thank you so much
Excellent food and great service. Really happy we found this restaurant. We were all very satisfied with our meals.
Very good drinks, chips, guac and tacos - will come back
Been twice now, great food and drinks. Service is on point, Louis is the best.
Polite staff, great food, quick service. We couldn't be happier.
Great tacos, try all the sauces they’re delicious Staff is very friendly!
Luis and Co were SO sweet and so fun. We loved our experience here and the food and drinks were amazing! Thank you!!
Luis was perfect and beautiful. Quick service, excellent food and cocktails. Couldn’t be happier.
A new favorite. Get the chicken tinga and the birria. The elotes looked amazing. We’ll be back!
Love their fish tacos, burritos and cocktails.
The best tacos in the city.
Great food and excellent, friendly service. Would go again if in the area.
Exceptional across decor, food, and service
The food is excellent and fresh. The nachos were amazing (and they will add shrimp if you ask). The music was a bit loud when we came in and when requested, they turned it down immediately and service was warm and welcoming.
Food was amazing. Everything we had we loved. Staff all very friendly and attentive. Atmosphere is really lively and fun! Great spot to have in the neighborhood!
Place is great! Service was attentive, and kind (which is difficult to find in NY). Food was amazing specially the shrimp tacos! Highly recommend
The place is lovely and the food is really terrific. They have their own style of doing things - and it works. We were very happy (and we're fussy about Mexican food)
One of the servers engaged us beautifully as we were deciding if to stop inside - and very glad we did. Everything was delicious, drinks great, the team caring. Plates vanish as soon as you've finished what's on them. Pleasant, modern decor; immaculate. Only tiny comment for improvement is that the music, though good and mood-creating, was a tad loud. Will def come back.// Soft corn tortilla dish was outstanding.
Incredible experience. The food, the ambiance, the staff and the owner were all amazing. I went here on a date night, and my date absolutely loved it. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a romantic and intimate setting
Ashley gave me the best service. Her customer service skills were soooo good. Very kind and fun to talk to. I definitely will come back
I don’t usually write reviews, but I had to go out of my way to share my compliments. I was excited to see something new open in the old El Centro spot, and to my surprise, something even better took its place! The burritos, while not massive Cali-style, are hands down the best in the neighborhood. And the guacamole? Absolutely perfect (coming from someone who’s incredibly picky about it). This spot is now my go to for Mexican food in Hell’s Kitchen. Can’t wait to order again and try the tacos next. Keep it up, and welcome to the neighborhood!
Really solid. Brisket tacos were outstanding. Great service. And the street corn was tasty!! Definitely a great addition to the neighborhood.
Food and service were excellent. Attentive but not in the way, super friendly. The atmosphere is a cool vibe, cool seating that isn’t too crowded. Really cute bar. Such a great neighborhood add!
Condesa just opened up where the old El Centro used to be, and what a treat it is! The moment you step inside, you’re transported into an art deco meets Mexican dream. The vibes are absolutely immaculate. I ordered the spicy margaritas, delicious with just the right kick. I had the steak burrito, which was amazing. My friend got the fish tacos, and they were insane. We also shared the guac, which was fresh and flavorful. Overall, it’s such a welcome addition to the neighborhood. Great food, great atmosphere, I’ll definitely be coming back.
The experience, the food, the drinks and the ambience is amazing here! Always love the atmosphere and the hospitality of everyone there. Must go to place when in Hell’s Kitchen
I regretted not finding this place sooner on my trip to NY! Absolutely delicious 🤤! It took me back to my childhood in Mexico. Those Micheladas with the cucumber juice just WOW! And the tacos to die for! Amazing place! Highly recommended! 🙏🏻♥️
Incredible experience. Food was great and the waiter, Jairo , an amazing service! Would definitely come back again!
I came here last night with a group of friends for dinner and drinks. It was our second visit this week. We were seated fairly quickly and immediately had our drink & apps order taken. The guacamole was so tasty, and not too spicy. The chips were crispy and warm. I had a Beso Rojo cocktail with mezcal. It was delicious and refreshing. I definitely recommend the shrimp tacos. The cheese to pepper ratio was spot on. Our bartender Andres took great care of us. We will be back soon!
First day open and everything was so well polished. The atmosphere is great, more chic than the other Mexican spots in the neighborhood, the staff is knowledgeable and extremely kind, but most importantly the food is a 10/10. I enjoyed the Rajas Poblanas burrito which is perfectly spiced and I’ll be thinking about it for weeks. Also highly recommend the Guacamole and chips with the homemade sauce trio. Very generous portions and priced perfectly. Lastly the Pureed Cucumber cocktail is top tier especially on a hot summer day. Already thinking of when I'll be back.
Make sure you get here after 5pm the atmosphere changed! Food was great and service was amazing, make sure to come with friends to try their pitcher margaritas!!
Loved this place so much. An amazing local addition. Loved the shrimp, al pastor and birria tacos as well as the nachos! Can’t beat homemade tortillas (both corn and flour). Luis was the best!
I enjoyed my experience at Condesa this evening. The pomegranate drinks were amazing as was the fish tacos. Luis was a great server and had really good recommendations!
We were walking by 54th and 9th Ave west side of NYC looking for something to eat and happened upon Taqueria Condesa and the food was absolutely delicious, soft tacos were very tasty, the Carne asada quesadilla was delicious, and the chicken burrito was very tasty and filling, Louis and Cristan were very friendly, hospitable. Wonderful place for a quick bite. 7/29/25
Fabulous cuisine. Fabulous cocktails. Lovely warm welcome from Jairo who spent time with us ensuring that we made the right choices to suit our palates. We loved it so much we are our way their again for the second time in two days.
One of the best first date spots in New York! Decor is perfect, drinks are great, and the tacos are excellent. Try all the hot sauces, smoky one is my fave. Lionel the owner is wonderful!
Went for dinner and the food was incredible, had chorizo flautas and multiple tacos. Our waitress was very helpful, did not rush us, and the food came out timely. Don’t skip the churros!
Awesome awesome vibe!!! So fun for a large group dinner and Dylan was the best. Truly the best service I’ve gotten in NYC in a while! Really appreciate their interest in giving us a great experience and they did amazing!
Taqueria Condesa is an absolute gem. The food is consistently delicious, fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The tacos are perfectly balanced, the meats are well-seasoned, and everything comes out fast and hot. What really elevates the experience, though, is the service. Luis, Jairo, and Juan are outstanding, friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They make you feel like a regular even on your first visit, always checking in and making sure everything is perfect. Great food, great vibes, and top-tier service. This place easily stands out and keeps me coming back. Highly recommend!
Very Chelsea vibing cozy Taqueria with solid margahritas, tacos and burritos. Menu is quite streamlined, order your main as a taco or burrito. Burritos have rice (red) in them and are a bit more filling. To me these were totally stylee, authentic and filling. Tacos were a bit smaller, choose a portion of 2 or 3 tacos. Terric happy hour with Margs on rocks or frozen - beautiful glass, salt, garnish and delicious margarita, tough to stop at just one or two. Ceiling looks like the inside of a lux car, glowing red bar is the focus of this place with a handful of stools you can cozy up to if you are that lucky customer. There is also a cozy couch-like set of tables right in the middle, also deep red in keeping with the theme. Wait staff is very professional, attentive and very warm and welcoming. They have a 'Taco Tuesday's special, not sure of the details. Very viby music that makes it all real. This is a fairly new establishment. Such a good spot to try, you have my recommendation.
After a few days trying to find some good food in New York, this place was definitely a hit. We’re from Houston and we’re used to good Mexican food and cold beer, which this place definitely had 😮💨 We started with the elote and they were prepared so well, with queso fresco and some kind of salsa that just added even more flavor. For a main plate I got the chorizo con papas tacos which had so much flavor and the tortillas were freshly made. The salsas were so good but for anyone who loves spicy salsas, these were fairly mild in spiciness but that does not take away from the flavor at all! Highly recommend for anyone wanting to get some good service along with good food, don’t hesitate to come here! They also had good music playing to add more vibe to the restaurant.
Blown away by this place! The food was amazing, we had the guac and chips, elote , and two orders of tacos. It was genuinely an amazing meal. The staff is amazing as well, very attentive and on top of everything. This place is really a five star joint!!!!
The food is AMAZING but the service is what stood out to us the load! Our server, Luis, was absolutely outstanding and one of the most attentive waitstaff we have had in a long time! We will definitely be back for both the food and the service! Ultimately this place is a fantastic addition to the neighborhood!
The staff was super nice and friendly. (Louis in particular 😃) The decor was fun and fresh. The fish tacos and guacamole were incredible. The churros, which were very good, took a little time to get to the table, so the owner brought us shots of excellent tequila to make up for it! (Unnecessary but greatly appreciated!) love this place! Can’t wait to go back!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 10/10 – A Must-Visit in Hell’s Kitchen! Taqueria Condesa, the brand-new Mexican restaurant that replaced El Centro Unite, absolutely blew us away! The food and service were incredible. With today’s economy, it’s refreshing to find a place where you can be happy, be active, be kind—and be a proud supporter—without needing to be fancy. My friends and I had an amazing time and truly enjoyed every bite. Huge shoutout to the Sait’s management team and our hardworking server, Louis—you made our evening extra special. We’re already looking forward to coming back this weekend for another unforgettable experience and possibly birthday event plan with Leonel. The tequila and mezcal selections are on point, and the freezer margarita is pure HEAVEN. I really hope Condesa adds some fun weekend brunch entertainment soon—something like a drag brunch would be a perfect fit for the heart of Hell’s Kitchen and our vibrant LGBTQIA+ community. Open for the local voice suggestions. Welcome to the neighborhood, Condesa! 💃🌮🍹
Taqueria Condesa is a a great spot! The spicy margarita was excellent—just the right kick without overpowering the flavor. They offer a great variety of tacos, each one fresh and full of bold, authentic flavors. Luis was especially welcoming and attentive, making the experience even better. Highly recommend for a fun, flavor filled night out!
I had an amazing lunch with Jairo taking great care of me. We had an amazing conversation and an equally impressive lunch of Flautas Dorados with the best tasting Modelo I’ve had in NYC this summer. Head on the beer was thick and lasted for over two minutes - can’t wait to go back! Thank you to the team!
10/10 – Condesa is HERE and it’s everything! 🌮🍹🔥 Just tried Condesa, the new Mexican spot that took over the old El Centro Unite—and WOW. The food? Delicious. The service? Top-notch. Huge love to Sait’s management and our amazing server Louis—he was working so hard and still had the best energy. In this economy, you don’t need to be fancy to have a great time. Just good people, good vibes, and great food. The tequila & mezcal list is 🔥 and their frozen margarita?? LIFE-CHANGING. Seriously, it’s heaven in a glass. Can’t wait to be back this weekend for round two!
The staff was very friendly. Food was pretty good. Taco Tuesday you get three tacos for the price of two but only certain tacos....
Taqueria Condesa did not disappoint! We had the birria tacos, fresh guacamole, and some truly amazing margaritas. Everything tasted homemade and full of flavor. The atmosphere is beautiful and gives off a trendy, vibrant Mexican neighborhood vibe. On top of that, our waiter was fantastic — super friendly, attentive, and made great recommendations. Popped in for a quick bite to eat before a show. incredibly friendly staff, delicious food and the vibes were great! i got the carne asada tacos and it all melted in my mouth. would highly recommend!
The food is so good and much better than other mexican in the area - quality steak in the quesadillas and great tacos with a wide selection. The service is what really stood out to us. Our waitress Ashley was nice, attentive, with a great sense of humor. She really knew the menu well and had some awesome recomendations that we would have missed. Condesa is a great addition to the neighborhood.
Tacos are great and always full of flavor. The drinks are decent, just a bit on the expensive side, but still enjoyable. The music and overall vibe are really good, perfect spot to hang out in Hell’s Kitchen. Definitely worth stopping by!
Very nice experience at this new neighborhood place. Food was delicious and carefully prepared and the service was stellar. While the decor isn't exactly my thing (and certainly not important in the scheme of things), I very much appreciated the sound treatments that allowed an otherwise busy restaurant to be a place where conversations could be easily heard.

Absolutely the best tacos in New York!🗽 Condesa Taqueria is truly a hidden gem in the heart of NYC. Located right in the city center, this spot brings an authentic Mexican flavor that’s hard to find anywhere else. The tacos are hands down the best in the entire state perfectly seasoned, fresh, and bursting with flavor. But that’s not all, they also have amazing burritos, quesadillas, bowls, and their guacamole with chips is out of this world! The portions are generous, and everything tastes homemade and authentic. The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, with friendly staff that make the whole experience even better. Whether you’re going for lunch, dinner, or just to enjoy their incredible Happy Hour, Condesa Taqueria always delivers great vibes and delicious food. If you’re looking for a place that combines flavor, fun, and top-notch service; this is it. Highly recommended! 🌮🔥
Good!
Absolutely delicious 😋
Great food, great service! Tried the quesadilla birria and it was delicious
Solid tacos! I especially liked the tortillas.
Very tasty tacos, some of the best corn tortillas I've had. Elote was quite good, needed a touch more salt imo. Got my beer order wrong, but also gave us a shot so it cancels out. Service was *very* fast, and friendly. I'll def go back!
The food here was decent. Solid Mexican flavors and nicely presented dishes. That said, it didn’t feel particularly wallet-friendly given the portion sizes and pricing. The atmosphere leaned heavily into a “club vibe” with loud music and flashy finishes, but for me it didn’t quite land given I was there for lunch with a business colleague. Overall: Great service, good enough food, not the best value, and the environment may not suit those looking for a relaxed meal out.
The tacos taste decent but were pretty small. We got it to go but the atmosphere seemed lively.
Super nice server who confirmed that hongos (mushroom) tacos were vegan and that rajas poblanas tacos were as well if you request no cheese. (Standard cross-contamination disclaimer.) The hongos tacos had a good intense flavor with a little char. Nice tortillas and salsa verde as well.

Pretty flavorless and kind of expensive ($16 guac!)
Burritos, chips and salsa, specialty salsas and drinks were bomb. We had the pineapple frozen marg and the mango, both were strong and not overly sweet, had a Michelada too, had a nice kick to it. The al pastor burrito was great too. Will definitely go back to try their tacos! Update: I visited this restaurant for the first time recently and had such a great experience that I left a 5-star review. On my most recent visit, unfortunately, things didn’t go quite as smoothly. Shortly after we ordered, a server accidentally spilled a full glass of water onto the table, which ended up all over my shirt and lap. Both servers were very apologetic and one kindly comped my drink, which I appreciated. What left me disappointed, though, was the lack of acknowledgment from the manager, who was present but never stepped in. A quick apology, a check-in, or even a small gesture to make up for the accident would have gone a long way, especially since mistakes happen and I understand that. Instead, I left feeling brushed off rather than cared for. I know this restaurant is capable of great service, because I experienced it on my first visit. I just hope management takes this kind of feedback to heart, because when guests are taken care of after an accident, it leaves a lasting positive impression instead of a negative one.
The atmosphere was pleasant, but the food was not very tasty. Horrible chicken tacos
The food is solidly good, if maybe a bit less than you’d expect. The service is always like AI robots, and not robots who are good at it. Ie: it was very difficult to order and actually receive chips & salsa. Unfortunately that kind of kills the whole experience. It’s too bad because the decor is great, drinks are good. But without some staff intervention this won’t last.
Average food. Tacos come out in like 15 seconds which mean they were premade and not made to order. Limited flavor on the food. Lackluster service and water was only filled once during my meal.

The food is flavorless and the service still has a lot of kinks to work out. The guacamole looks like green apple sauce, it's shiny with a wet consistency instead of creamy. The tacos have no seasoning, the corn tortillas have a fresh homemade texture but the meat on it is so disappointing that the tortilla doesn't help. The drinks are equally as flavorless. The pepino cocktail sounded refreshing but the flavor was dull and I'm not sure there was any tequila in it. I had ordered mezcal in it but didn't bother correcting them. they already delivered the wrong cocktail to other people at the table and it was clear they were having new restaurant kinks so I let it slide. They asked what we wanted on the rim but only some of our drinks had a rim. The drinks were so bland none of us ordered a second drink. While some of us had finished our tacos others were still eating their food but they started clearing plates and took the silverware of somebody still eating. Overall it's not worth coming here, at least until they figure out the problems but I probably won't try again.
Full Disclosure: I understand that this place only opened recently, so I do plan to give it another shot down the road and update my review, but my meal last night was disappointing and I wanted to share. I get that tacos are wildly overpriced in NYC, but even here when simple steak / pork tacos cost over $5/ea (and fish/shrimp venture into the $7/ea territory), I expect to get a great portion or something extremely tasty. Unfortunately we received neither. 2 tacos will run you $12ish bucks and 3 will be in the $18-20 range. I know complimentary chips and salsa is a rarity these days, but $16 for guacamole and chips is insane. My neighbor ordered a burrito and to be fair it looked really good and hefty. My shrimp tacos were missing the promised poblanos, were a bit light on the shrimp, and there was so much grease from the melted cheese that everything was pretty soggy. The carne asada tacos had a decent enough amount of steak but were pretty bland. The restaurant does provide 3 different salsas on the table and those were tasty so at least they nailed that. The atmosphere was upbeat and hip enough (cool stained glass art) and the service was friendly, but that was about it. The manager did ask me for my feedback after we finished and I didn’t have the courage to tell him this. Perhaps one day I’ll stop being such a coward. Until next time.
Another Mexican restaurant with terrible loud crappy Mexican music. The fish taco had the supermarket tortillas. I will not go back, it’s not el centro. I wish It was good but it’s not.
Food was great. Atmosphere was great. Service was great. What really sucked is the non-transparent pricing. Chips and guac is $16, okay fine, there’s always an up-charge for guac. I ordered chips and salsa and they still charged me $16………. Make that make sense. When I asked them how they priced that for me, they said it’s cuz they haven’t updated the menu…..?

The food is horrible. I had tge cod fish tacos which were bland, dried out, basucally inedible. My friend has an enchillade which was also bland mush. The rice and beans were likewise tasteless and uninspired. Shameful.
Our whole table got food poisoning despite ordering different dishes. Owner became threatening over the phone. We were simply calling to notify the restaurant.
The vibe was just off. The bar is insanely tiny with maybe four seats and a mirror positioned so it blasts you right in the face the whole time. The whole setup feels cramped and awkward like the space was designed to maximize congestion instead of comfort. I stepped outside for ten minutes to take a quick WhatsApp video call with my date and when I came back people were already sliding into my seat even though my food and drink were sitting there in plain view. I do not blame the crowd I blame the terrible layout and lack of any sane flow. This place is less taqueria and more musical chairs with tacos.
$17 mocktails are outrageous. This feels like a total rip off. My boyfriend and I live around the corner and we will be going to Revival (just down the street), from here on out, since their ownership goes out of the way to attract new customers with competitive prices. When you live in a neighborhood with restaurants on every corner, you really need to read the room. $17 for some juice is not it.
My husband and I were really excited to try Taqueria Condesa, especially since it’s a new to our neighborhood. Unfortunately, our visit was far from what we hoped for, especially given that our meal for just the two of us came out to over $100. We ordered a lot of food — four pairs of tacos (eight total), two sides of rice and beans, an appetizer, and drinks. Right away, we noticed that six out of our eight tacos were completely cold, and the other two were only barely warm. For the prices they charge per taco, we expected fresh, hot food, so this was pretty disappointing. We also really struggled to get our waiter’s attention. After trying several times, another server kindly stepped in to help. When I explained that our food was cold, there was no apology, and the only solution offered was to reheat the tacos. For a new restaurant trying to build a customer base, I really expected a more thoughtful response — at the very least, offering to remake the tacos. Reheating tacos that already have toppings like cilantro, onions, and pico just doesn’t work well. Those toppings are meant to be fresh, not warmed up on a grill. What also made us uncomfortable was the idea of reheating partially eaten tacos on the same surface where other guests’ food is being prepared. It raised some hygiene concerns that I really hope the restaurant takes seriously. When the reheated tacos came back, the presentation just felt awkward — half-eaten food reassembled and warmed over doesn’t match the premium vibe or price point they seem to be going for. The only person who apologized throughout this whole interaction was the sweet waitress who brought the food back to us. Meanwhile, our actual waiter never once checked in, didn’t acknowledge the issue at all, and didn’t refill our waters — the other waiter did. He only returned at the very end to clear plates and later to drop off the check, which also took longer than expected even though we’d asked politely because we just wanted to leave at that point. Overall, the quality and service did not match the cost in any way. My husband and I left very disappointed, and unfortunately we won’t be returning. We’ll be telling our friends and family to save their money and stick to the local taco trucks — better food, better value, and a much better experience.
I’ve been to Taquería Condesa a few times since it opened, really hoping each visit would win me over. The space itself is absolutely stunning. The decor is warm, vibrant, and beautifully designed. It’s a great looking restaurant and a lovely place to sit. That said, the experience has been fairly consistent in ways I wish were better. The biggest frustration for me is that you can’t mix and match tacos. Since tacos are typically ordered individually, it feels restrictive not to be able to choose different fillings in one order. It would make the menu feel much more flexible and guest friendly. Service has also been hit or miss. Nothing outright bad, just not especially attentive or welcoming, and it hasn’t noticeably improved over time. I was also disappointed by the margarita. It tasted quite watered down, and at $12 during happy hour, I expected something more balanced and flavorful. I genuinely wanted to love this spot because the atmosphere is beautiful, but based on my visits, it hasn’t quite delivered for me. I’ll admit, I do miss El Centro.
