I thought that place was very nice. The waitresses are young and nice. You can come and work from there. I just took a small late it was nice and at the same price as other places. I will come back
They put a lot of love into every drink. I like the idea of supporting a local business rather than a huge, international chain. Great spot to stop by if you’re in the area. Nice seasonal drinks and flavors like lavender, maple, and fig, which you may not find elsewhere. They are mindful of the details, which I appreciate.
Nice (although busy) place with good interior decoration. The staff are efficient and friendly, and they make great espresso drinks. Get a cappuccino to stay to experience the pleasing mug design and a free glass of seltzer.
I was walking through the Upper East Side and decided to pause for a brief respite when I discovered Dear Coffee. I am genuinely pleased that I chose to enter because this establishment is an exceptional find. The atmosphere made an immediate positive impression on me. It feels incredibly welcoming and possesses a clean, calm energy that serves as a perfect sanctuary from the bustling city noise outside. The service was equally impressive. The staff were highly professional and courteous. They greeted me immediately upon entry and were patient while I reviewed the menu options. They assisted me in making a selection, which is a level of service I always appreciate. Regarding the coffee itself, it was truly outstanding. I ordered a latte and found it to be absolute perfection. It was smooth and rich, while the milk texture was velvety. It is evident that they prioritize the high quality of their beans and the craft of preparation. It is rare to encounter a location that excels in every aspect, including atmosphere, service, and product, yet Dear Coffee certainly achieves this. I enjoyed my beverage while resting from my walk, but I could easily envision myself returning to sit and work or relax for a longer duration.
I was coming from Brooklyn to pick up my wife from work and they opened a little early just for me. This kind of hospitality is hard to find in and around nyc nowadays. A true breath of fresh air. I will be returning to try their other things!
Cute coffee shop in the upper east side! Very quick and friendly service. The shop is also really cute inside and has a few tables for folks to sit. The coffee here is delicious and i love the seasonal drinks. I tried the seasonal pecan pie latte and it was so yummy! The drink wasn’t too sweet and they also have all choices of milk to choose from. Shout out to my favorite barista, Nicole!
Wonderful shop with beautiful coffee and matcha options! The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and quick with service. I’ve tried their iced lattes, matcha, and specialty drinks, and every single one has been wonderful. Definitely my favorite coffee spot in the neighborhood!
Found this little café on Google Maps and was immediately drawn in by the interior design. The staff is friendly. The Scone and the Croissant are not too sweet. Love it. The counter is located right by the entrance, so it can feel a bit cramped when the line gets long. Seating is limited too, so we ended up standing by the window. It was a good experience overall.
The latte and espresso are pure perfection—you can truly taste the care and craft the baristas put into every cup. They also serve each order with a side of sparkling water which is a nice touch. You don’t find that in many cafes around here. We also tried the avocado toast and salmon toast (they are quite generous with the servings), and they were so delicious, not a single crumb was left! Definitely worth a try if you’re in the upper east side!
Spot was a convenience pick and didn’t disappoint. On the contrary - loved it! Might get out of my way to come back sometime. Their house special matcha 🍵 was delicious! I had earl grey matcha with (peas?) flowers as garnish. My hubby had oat milk flat white and it was also pretty good. Great place!
I went in here knowing I wanted one of their matcha specialties - it was VERY good. Fully blended, flavorful and not too sweet. I got the Matcha Yuchi turmeric over ice. It honesty tasted like a matcha lemonade which was to my surprise. Their almond croissant was also very good - would've loved it warm but they don't have a warmer. They had seating a few tables and since it was packed they let us pull some chairs up to another area which was nice! It is NOT cheap but what coffee / cafe is?
Found this spot as we were walking down Lexington on our way to another cafe but we decided to stop here instead. To be honest, haven't had great luck for coffee in NYC but this place blew us away! We came back 3 days in a row for consistently delicious espressos. Also tried their iced latte with homemade lavender syrup, and their Dear Maria drink. The cafe is comfortable to sit in and the baristas are awesome! We overheard one of the baristas tell a customer that when he makes a drink, he makes it as if he's making it for someone he loves...well we love you back 🥰
Minimalist coffee shop on the UES with solid drinks. Stumbled upon this spot after a long walk through the park. For coffee, they seemed to pull their espresso and pour-overs using beans from Onyx Coffee Lab (one of my favs), but after walking around outside, we weren't quite in the mood for a hot pour-over. We grabbed a peach fizz and a matcha latte instead, and both were solid. The cafe is quite small, so it’s definitely not the kind of place where you can camp out with a laptop for a few hours. Also, there is no restroom inside. Still a great spot for a quick grab and go stop.
Recently discovered this cute coffee shop in my neighbourhood! Their seasonal matcha Tokyo Fog with earl grey and the Honey Blossom latte - both were excellent. Not too sweet and perfectly balanced flavors. They are on the pricier side +-$10 per coffee. Also, really love their pastry, especially the blueberry cheese danish was delicious!
I’ve been disappointed repeatedly by coffee in New York and this one unfortunately has kept that streak going. Got an iced soy latte that tasted mainly milk and barely any espresso. Paid 8 bucks (with tax) for this too so I’m a bit bummed. PS. also spotted a transparent matcha container on their shelf and truly hope that’s for show and not the powder they actually use or else that powder is long gone from overexposure to light.
I do my best to visit all my neighborhood local coffee shops. However, I did not enjoy myself here. From the start the individual at the register didn't attempt to engage clearly & when I asked for an iced coffee, she deferred in a condescending tone. Instead of easily offering a synonymous beverage, I myself had to infer about a cold brew-- only for her to say oh yah we have that. Rather than try to seem too good for a customer, just create a welcoming interaction. To top it off, she added a mountain of ice to the cup to where ice was stacked over the lid level & I had to ask for lighter ice-- to where she insisted there will be room in the cup because I chose to have lighter ice. As a customer, I shouldn't have to be short changed. I left that place with about a 1 inch of empty space in my cup without a sip taken. $7 for weak service and bad product delivery. I will not come back.
