An overall delightful family-meal-style dining experience! You pick an entree, then they bring the sides and biscuits non-stop until you say whoa! Food is served in large dishes to be shared like at a family dinner, so you get the portion you want. If you want more, it's on the way! Genuine family-cooking flavor. Atmosphere is relaxed but not rowdy. Service is unbeatable! Ivett did a fantastic job!

This place is such a joy. Good food, good people, good cooks, good staff, good conversation; just plain ol' GOOD! Double-triple thumbs-up from me! 👍👍 Edit: The staff are AMAZING people! I got to talking with a handful of them at the entrance, and they were just golden🪙 they listen, engaged in the conversation, had good attitudes, and we're all-in-all good people.

Love this place! Our second time here but our first time at this location. The decor is too cool! Service is amazing and food is even better! Absolutely love everything we’ve ever had here. Husband got the chicken fried steak and I got chicken strips. Sides are incredible and the biscuits melt in your mouth. Haven’t tried the desserts because we’ve always been too full. Will definitely be back here again and again!

2nd time around at this location, definitely was way better than during COVID time's. Had about 30 minute wait (it was Sunday afternoon), but was taken care of right away. Delicious 😋🤤 food, I had the fried fish kiddos had the chicken tenders and hubby had the fried chicken. Everything was delicious 😋🤤 our waitress Ericka was on top of refills and food.

I haven’t been to Babes in years and listen they did not disappoint. The service was impeccable. Our waiter continued to check on us and ensure we were okay with refilling our water and bringing us anything requested. The fried chicken was fried crispy and was delicious. The green beans, corn, mashed potatoes, rolls all served family style. They even offer Salad and biscuits and delicious desserts for an additional cost. I forgot how much I love babes but will be back sooner than later. The person who started the book is also an author, so check out their book.

Oh Babe's...what to say. Always a good experience with friendly service. You pick a main dish. Then all you can eat salad, biscuits, & sides. Usually a wait at busy eating times, but nice covered waiting area. Clean bathroom. Worth the wait. I know they concentrate on having good food but the only thing missing is a cold beer while you wait ouside. I have been to 3 locations & all have been great.

Love the food! Family style country food. Choose your meat & the table gets served a salad, mashed potatoes, green beans, gravy, & creamed corn with warm biscuits. While eating, your entertained by the server’s singing & dancing to various songs, like the Hokie Pokie. Our waitress was fantastic & the food was awesome! We had pie for dessert & it was delicious! Was so good, I ordered a whole pie to take home with me. I took off one star because my last impression of the place was left by the cashier, who had no customer service & lacked tact. It won’t keep me from coming back, but her customer interaction could use some improvement.

We came in 20 minutes before closing, so that’s on us. Sides were good as well as the service. Strips were not crispy enough for me but I did forget to say extra crispy and they were bigger than what they usually are. Fish was good but could have been a little more crispier since we did ask for extra crispy. My guess is since we came so late they were trying to get us our food. Overall loves Babes and this is my favorite location since they offer fish and green beans is a side also have BBQ sauce for the strips!!!

U know the place is good when u have unlimited real butter at the table. It was freezing outside while waiting for our table. The heaters were not keeping up. But once inside, it was all warm and cozy. Wait staff was great, explained how Babes works and I got the fried chicken. Everything was good but on the salty side. Biscuits were soft and fluffy and the butter and honey made it butter. Chicken was moist with a crunchy outside. I thought the crust was a little on the hard side but still delicious

We frequent the NRH Babes location and are frustrated by the inconsistency. The food is great, but service and policies seem to depend on which server you get. We often ask for a to-go gravy for our leftovers since the portions are large, and depending on the server, we may or may not receive one. If a container were provided, I would simply take what's left from the table. The main reason for this review is a to-go order we placed on 2/2/26 for an adult and child's meal. When we got home, we realized we were missing salad dressing, butter, utensils, and other basic items usually provided. I called and spoke with Carlos, who told me he would refund the child's meal for the inconvenience. As of today, I still have not recevied that refund. The food is consistently good, but the lack of consistency with service and follow-through is frustrating. Double-check your to-go orders, and bring your own container if you don't want to eat reheated chicken fried steak - dry.

I love Babe's and as such decided to go there for my birthday, big letdown. Our waiter dropped the food and didn't come back for ~30 minutes. By the time he did return we were out of sides, drinks, and patience. Even upon his return he didn't offer any refills or dessert just a check and then disappeared again. I will give Babe's another chance but it will be a while.

Nice place for the experience and atmosphere. Food is ok. We got fried chicken, catfish and a chicken fried steak. Sides were good. They were pretty busy so it took a whole in between the sides being replenished. Didn't get a pic as there was nothing really worth showing. Basic good on a plate.

The food is just ok, I mostly ate it because I was pretty hungry and in a group setting. The chicken tastes like it was marinated or prepared in brine. Everything tastes sweet from the salad dressing to the mashed potatoes, but yet also bland. The salad is just sad looking iceberg lettuce with sweet vinegar on it. Our server definitely rushed us and didn't explain the menu or how anything works. If you are going with a group that is not your family, you need to know that they do not bring you your food individually, which can make things awkward. I understand the sides are family style, but also the meats? So if two people ordered chicken strips, we are supposed to dole them out, and then also monitor our food like hungry dogs to make sure someone else does not help themselves? And they serve fish on the same plate as chicken fried steak or chicken. There is really no thought given to allergies or other people not wanting their meat to touch fish. Also our waitress constantly asked us to pass plates and drinks, and it seemed like she thought her job was to stand at the corner of the table and treat the customers like a conveyor belt for her. She was lucky I was a guest of the person paying, and not in charge of the tips. Also they don't provide an actual to go container for the meats, they want you to put your meat in a plastic bag. I know people love this restaurant, but for a business or other event it can be pretty awkward and I dread the time anyone invites me here. I would not go back willingly. I really don't understand how anyone enjoys the flavors or tastes of this restaurant. (Yes all babes locations taste the same, it's not just this one)

First time here I was excited but was slowly let down. Chicken was fresh, crispy and tasty. Sides were okay. Biscuits were delicious. Service was pretty bad despite them just opening and having about 8 servers just standing around. Got the coconut meringue pie to go, didn’t taste much like coconut besides the coconut crisps on top. I did want more sides and chicken but our waitress just brought us the check and left. I do wish they would be more clear on prices when ordering and quantity. It was good food but I wasn’t satisfied with the meal or service.

They seemed racist and didn’t even give us but the minimum service and never came and asked how we were doing until they seen my daughter friend bring in a bottle. (They used to be byob) It was my birthday… and I will never go back!

Disappointing. There were five of us. Three ordered the fried chicken and two ordered the catfish. I had the catfish. It was overcooked and dry. It was also over peppered (black pepper). The potatoes were starchy and the vegetables were mediocre. I don't consider chopped up iceberg lettuce with cheap vinegarette dressing on it a salad. On the upside; the biscuits were delicious. I don't know how much the bill was because my son paid. I will not be a repeat customer nor will I recommend this restaurant.
