Amazing food and never seen a coffee ceremony where they roast beans in front of you! Must try!
Great food and huge portions. Pretty reasonably priced for the area. Would recommend if you want a sit-down experience.
This place is essentially two restaurants in one. There are separate Indian and Ethiopian menus. The Ethiopian menu even has a different name on it, so maybe they decided to combine two restaurants into one. But honestly this is great for a group where not everyone wants the same type of food. I had the regular kitfo and it was delicious. There was so much meat I couldn't finish it on my own. One friend got the shiro and it was also plentiful. Plus the injera was perfect. The rest of the table got Indian food. I tried some dal and it was yummy too. The service was a bit slow but still acceptable. Overall it was a great meal.
The restaurant is full of genuine warmth from the servers and the beautifully presented food. The food was quite delicious.
GREAT food. Always bring friends here and it never fails. Good price. Lots to share. Veggie and beef platter w 4 and we left rolled out of here. Don’t sleep on it Injera is extra just fyi
Very lovely place with friendly staff and delicious authentic Ethiopian food! They also offer an Indian menu, which is a nice bonus. I went there two days in a row and still find myself craving more. The flavors are rich, the atmosphere is warm, and the service is genuinely welcoming. Highly recommend this spot for anyone who enjoys flavorful, home-style cooking.
Absolutely amazing experience! The food was bursting with authentic Ethiopian and Indian flavors—rich, fresh, and perfectly spiced. The service was warm, attentive, and made me feel truly welcomed. Every dish was cooked with love and care. I left completely satisfied and can’t wait to come back. A true hidden gem!
I had a wonderful experience. The food was absolutely delicious, full of authentic flavor, and beautifully presented. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for amazing cuisine in Silver Spring!
Really delicious and fresh Indian food. The vegetable korma had the most pleasant flavor complex. It tasted like coming home to a place I’d never been. The naan was the best I’d ever had, it was soft and fluffy yet satisfyingly crispy where it counted. My friend and I came for a quiet lunch, but I would like to come back for happy hour and enjoy the place when lively. Thank you again ! :) I would share photos but was too busy eating 🤷🏾♀️
Wow I’m impressed! I actually was on my way to another restaurant and the owner came out and spoke to us and invited us in. The food smelled good so we sat down. I ordered the veggie combo and it was delicious! I can be picky about Ethiopian because I only really like one spot in MD but this really met my standard! Everything was traditional from the decor, the dishes they used and even the music. I was grateful for the outstanding customer service and would love to come back
My husband and 20 year old son dined here for the first time on Sunday. The food was sooooo good and the staff incredibly friendly. We tried both Ethiopian and Indian dishes and were so impressed. We will definitely be back! The picture I'm posting is mid-meal. I highly recommend the ochra on the Indian menu.
I can't say enough. I'll start with the owner. He was great. Attentive and involved. Every restaurant does better when the owner is involved and you can tell he cares. Everything was clean and well taken care of. Now on to the food. I had furaula and Momo's to start. They were delightful. You can tell that the ingredients are fresh well prepped. The goat for my main course was so wonderfully spiced and just amazingly tender. I had the paratha to tie things together and it was a great add on. Worth a visit if you are in the area.
I ordered via Uber eats and 12 minutes they canceled the order at 5pm on a Saturday. It's been awhile since I ordered from here. I might try calling directly or coming in, but I wouldn't recommend relying on using them with 3rd party delivery services.
Mild Indian food - fit and easy to try for rookie food explore. Anyway, overall is still tastes good. The highlight is about service, very polite and professional. Price is a little bit more expensive than others because it makes from organic products. Location in downtown Silver Spring- no free parking spot near the restaurant - but there are a few meters parking around and garages are available.
Service was great, atmosphere seemed nice. Indian food was a big let down, lamb was overcooked and watery, Chana very tomatoey, dal makhani had rajma in it, Kheer rice too old, you get the picture.
I have ordered chicken biryani to go quantity is OK price is too high but OK and taste is the worst. I ever eat like this biryani no Mint no cilantro no fried onion no yogurt no salt no flour only chicken gravy mixed with plain rice. I cannot eat even half they need to change the recipe of biryani if it’s not, he will lose the customer
I never do reviews but I had to come here to share. As someone who LOVES Indian food, this is false advertisement. I order shrimp biryani and got rice that was barely seasoned. You could tell someone dumped plain white rice in a mix of salt and brown food coloring and then added a teaspoon of almond slices and 2-3 raisins. It wasn’t mix right and you could see white chunks of rice in a few spots. No depth to the flavor and barely any flavor at all. Where is the cumin? Where is the savory and sweet spice blend? This very disappointing and needs to be taken off your menu.
AVOIDING WOULD HAVE BEEN A BETTER OPTION 3 worst mistake I did a) Missed to see the previous reviews are 5 years old b) Skipped Chipotle c) Ordered for To-Go but decided to Dine-in I left with a bad Experience Chicken Biryani was not biryani but Masala rice Pilav... NOT WORTH $20 I mistook a Bar as restaurant and decided to Dine in The Bar is attached to the Dine in hall.. No customers shows up for Dine in may be bcoz of the Headache you get from the LOUD MUSIC PLAYED IN THE BAR.. UNRECOGNISABLE LANGUAGE SONG IS PLAYED ON HIGH VOLUME.. Customers in the Bar consume Alcohol and Hukka (sheesha) Arabic smoke pipe..... The entire place gives you a Headache from smoke smell and loud Music in some different language but not English..... Ghar- E - Kabab the name of the restaurant means Home made kabab ( mince patty) but this restaurant is no where near to its Name. The Chicken Biryani was the waste of Money and Time Since, I drove all the way from Laurel and returned with a Bad Taste anf Bad Experience. NOT RECOMENDED👎👎👎👎👎👎
