Clean place and the cashiers are kind. EBT is accepted here too with the rmp in your county
Clean and fresh... I'd only wish the chicken was a bit more charred or crispy... But it was good. Staff was awesome and handled a giantunch rush with the release of big coupons like Champs... Handled everything professionally... I'll deff come back to this location. Location is also clean and open.
Overall very satisfied. I had a coupon: 2lg bowls for $9. Excellent value. Normal price would have been $7.59 each, but I would have still been happy with that. Ordered two bowls of orange chicken, and it was delicious. Portions were satisfactory and the flavor was on point. Would definitely be back to this location.
My first time at Yoshinoya but it was fantastic! The cashier Leon was friendly, helpful and very charming! The food was fantastic, the steak in particular that was recommended was my personal favorite. Overall great staff and reasonably fast food that tastes great! I'm in love. Will definitely be back sometime when I'm back in the state!
While I am a Los Angeles native, I currently live 2 hours away from the nearest Yoshinoya (Bakersfield, CA location). We usually will eat at the Bakersfield location when going to or coming back from LA, however I realized that I wasn't going to make it on time to place an order so I decided to visit this Norwalk establishment. Now, I haven't been to LA in about 2 years so when I ordered 6 meals to bring back to my husband and brother-in-law back home, I completely botched it. Instead of getting big plates of the chicken, I ordered bowls. When I realized the order was wrong, I advised the staff and they sent Iris, the store manager, to help me. Iris went above and beyond. I explained my situation to her and she was beyond understanding to my situation. She provided me with the correct order and made me feel like I was a valued customer. I literally cried (It was a long weekend with 2 under 3; I was exhausted, hormonal and ready to go home and sleep in my own bed lol). She even offered me ice cold water to help calm my nerves and get me home (5 hours away) safely. I would love to thank Iris and her amazing team at the Norwalk, CA Yoshinoya for being so patient and understanding with me. I would 100% recommend this location to family and friends in the area, and will definitely be visiting the next time I'm in town. Oh, and the food was delicious as well!
Sergio was very helpful and the store was very nice 👍🏼.
The best yoshinoya I have been to , Sergio was excellent
Sergio was very helpful and the service was excellent!!
The beef gyudon and brown rice never fails me. Prices are still reasonable. The service was quick at their Alondra Blvd., Norwalk store. They should just quit using their automated drive thru order station where you talk to a robot, its really confusing for first rimers. I hope they have branch in Vancouver WA Keep it up.
I loved eating at this place. I would usually get the XL portion with rice (ofc) , vegetables, and orange chicken. I’m so sad to hear that the orange chicken is no longer available. I actually started sobbing at the thought of not being able to eat this again. Hopefully it comes back for the sake of my taste buds..
Sergio was super attentive and has excellent customer service. Best yoshinoya I have been to
I don’t remember her name. I believe it was Alejandra, but she was kind Courteous professional, Meticulous and quick she was very good very happy with her service great associate
It was really nice,it was my first time and I like it.
6/5/2025 = 5 Star = wow been a long time did not came back, now I see new design inside , still 5 star in this store . 8/22/2021 = 5 Star = Still love it , no issue , just no smile from the staff , may be because they are wearing mask LOL . 2019 = 5 Star = Very friendly staff, I love the shrimp and veggies.
I've loved Yoshinoya for many years. I only get back to California about once a year if I'm lucky and usually have time for a Nostalgia food tour with getting a Beef bowl at Yoshinoya one of the highlights. Don't remember brown rice being an option last year but it is a good add to ok be of my all time favorite dishes.
It's been a couple of years since I ate at Yoshinoya... and buy, have they changed their decor. Modernized LED menus and "assembly line" style options. Food still tastes the same... tasty and healthy enough to eat a few times a week but nothing spectacular ;p
Visited the drive-thru Tuesday May May 22nd, around 10:30 PM. Placed my order and asked for extra habanero sauce & siracha sauce. Waited about 15 minutes to get my order. Got home & Opened my food tray to eat and the steak looked pink, under cooked & most of it was nerve! Only a couple of veggies! The Habanero Chicken looked dry and had very little sauce over it! I did not get my extra sauces! 😐 the other bowls in my order were almost empty and not even filled to the line? I was very upset. I called them up, spoke to the Mgr. Kyle who was very nice and professional. Told me to go back w/ receipt and they would replace my food. Two days later I went back with my receipt and pictures of the food. Donovan at the register was super nice. He called over Mgr. CRYSTAL? She was also very nice, understanding & efficient! Got a replacement of my order. ☺ Thank you again! Reason why I rated them 4 stars is only because of the Management team & Donovan for knowing how to handle my situation and because My order the second time around was perfect!
There food is good but the drive through takes forever and the cashier seems to be doing both drive through and making the food maybe that’s why it took forever practically my whole lunch was spent there 30mins finally the made a XL combo bowl
The quick go to, good food !
A lot of people during meal hours. Service is good. Food served fast most of the time if ordered regular popular items. Prices are great with coupons used. Can use more than 1 coupon at a time, just coupons are different codes.
Slow service. Took 18 minutes to get my TO GO food. But, in all fairness they were really busy inside and out. Sending out coupons will do that for you. Although, interestingly enough, I didn't even order until 3:45pm. Not exactly what you would call rush hour, was it?
tonight was the first time in many years of ordering from this location. before, the service was bad enough to keep.me away for almost half a decade at this location. something maybe the full moon, got through th r drive through. the service was great! the one taking my order and money was human, professional, down to earth and I felt good ordering from this location. only 4 stars for now, until I feel tonight is a consistent occurence. whoever worked there tonight, need more of that please!
Man, I feel absolutely horrible. So i went to this place some weeks or months ago and left a review due to the bad experience I had that particular day. Since this is a place that i frequent, I decided to give them another chance as perhaps it was a fluke. After waiting for my order, I pulled up the drive thru and told the window attendant my negative experience. She was very helpful, understanding and as usual provided good customer service. She apologized on behalf of whoever messed up. I get my food. Vegetables and Chicken were on point. Rice unfortunately not so much. Different texture and strange aftertaste. I quickly called them back and told them about this and they asked me to come back so they could fix the problem. They made me a brand new batch of rice, let me keep the chicken and vegetables from the other bowls and made me two fresh and perfect new bowls. Everything tasted great. Also, she threw in some coupons for free bowls on my next visits. Definitely made up for the prior bad experience. 😊
I remember back in the day when Yoshinoya’s teriyaki chicken had a crispy skin and juicy interior. That chicken is long gone but the new Tokyo chicken is almost as good. They have a unique batter that is super crispy but also chewy, and the chicken inside is juicy and toothy. Right now it’s a $3 side when you get a bowl. Totally worth it. This location was clean and the staff seemed friendly. Worth a visit from time to time.
Yoshinoya fast Food Restaurants is nice.. There is not a lot of seating, but they do have seats inside that U can sit in comfortably.. Sit out of the wind, out of the rain & out of the Sun.. 🌞. The service is O. K.. The Atmosphere is O.K too...
It's always WAY too cold at this location. Turn the temp up to normal.
Boy I tell ya when I say ordering at the booth talking to AI should be sped up. I enjoy the menu but ordering is something that will be adjusted to speed up the service. Great food and staff. Make sure to ask for condiments to make the food a little more enjoyable.
The beef bowels are pretty consistantly flavorful, and the vegetables are fresh. It took a little longer than other Yoshinoyas I've been to to get our order. Didn't have the clam chowder available. The place looks clean, but it smells like they need to use fresher rags for cleaning the tables. Also, got hit up by a couple of people for a handout inside the restaurant.
I love Yoshinoya and would normally give 5 stars but today they'll get a 3.today i waited about 20-25 min in the drive thru no lie!!! By the time I got home my food (shrimp bowl w/ steam rice and veggies) was room tempature and the rice & shrimp were soggy.
Good food but the workers took a long time to come to the cash register and take our order. After that, they were fulfilling the drive thru order before sit-in customers. It took over 10 minutes to get our food.
Service is nice, but they only give you half the bowl with only few pieces of meat, feels like the store owner must have worked at Chipotle and instructed the employees to count meat portions to make sure to not go over the "quota".
Food is great. However, their newly improved menu which asking customer option for Not-So-Fried-Fried-Rice, Vegetable, greatly increase the wait time. The lines inside and outside are both so long that make me think twice before stepping in the restaurant.
I ordered large combo with beef & chicken with extra juice which I didn't get. Also ordered 2 clay chowder which 1 was nice n hot but other one was luke warm and all clumped. Otherwise it was ok.
Still no dine in there. The drive Through was fine. I made it a point not to give the change, cause they are not good returning the right amount of money. Other than that the food was good.
Do not order the orange chicken as it is very dry (the 4 pieces I had), didn't have any sauce on them, and pictures are deceiving! I peeled the crust off the orange chicken just to eat!! Went back to get some sweet and sour sauce for the orange chicken and the young lady stated that the only sauces they had were teriyaki, ginger, soy and something else but no sweet and sour which was 54 cents a piece! I then stated that the company needs to change their pictures regarding orange chicken and declined to pay 54 cents for the teriyaki sauce! 😡😤 She was like "oh well" and called the next order up!! Not a fan of Yoshinoya but went there because my Dad loves their food! 😬
The food here is pretty average. They do have a good drive thru and are fairly quick. They also have limited boba teas
Asked for ginger and they gave me everything except ginger. -.-
The last time I came here was about a year ago, food was good don't get me wrong but it was the worst service ever when they took forever when I had waited in there for 20 minutes just to take out. Ridiculous. However, the lines can be super long at the drive thru so I would recommend for you to go inside and just order unless you've got the app might be easier and way faster. Overall the staff are friendly, the food is so good all fresh I like their fish, chicken teriyaki and their calm chowder soup it tasted all homemade yummy so for sure I would most definitely be back. The food simply delicious.
Ordered on the app. Food tasted good. But when we arrived for pick up, we stood in the correct spot but we were ignored for at least five minutes as two workers acted busy moving containers around and acting too busy to care about us. They kept looking at us and never even said, "Be right with you." What is wrong with the training at these locations?
Normaly this place is great but yesterdays visit not so much. 1) Took forever to get my food 2) Bowl had a small amount of food 3) My vegetables consisted of 90 cabbage, absolutely no broccoli or cauliflower and a couple pieces of carrots. 4) Rice had a different texture and flavor than usual 👎
The low rating isn't because of the food. Yoshinoya food is what it is, and on rare occasions I have a craving for it. This particular location is so incredibly slow. I have seen the lines back up here every single time I've been, whether it's on a normal lunch hour or outside of normal meal times. There have been times, where I've had a craving for this food but just the thought of the wait makes me go elsewhere.
Always crowded and over the course of multiple visits with different staff consistently crowded and consistently would charge me for the "not so fried" rice up grade and when I get home would have the regular white rice. Due to my Pescatarian diet I will occasionally bite the bullet and eat here due to lack of quick culinary choices but WOULD NOT EAT HERE as a first choice.
This place is not my cup of tea. I was really disappointed. It'd just too ghetto for me. And I just don't what the big deal is. Bad spot. Not good service. And treatment is not what I thought it'd be. Or maybe I have big expectations. And places like these. I should know better. They're not even friendly. And then If you're like you begin to question why they do certain drinks. And they cannot come up with a good excuse. To me that's just wrong. You really shouldn't be working there. And need to figure out why those drinks are offered. And what's the purpose of the mixture. Plus, you can't even get custom made.
The employees are kind... but I do not understand why it takes so long to get your food. From start to finish, I was in drive thru for over 20 minutes. Were we making the rice to order?
When I got home with my food. My order was totally wrong from what I ordered. Paid a little extra for some sides which I didn't get at all of. Food was still good thou. I would have gone back to get my correct order but would had paid more for the taxi cab to take me back to get my food.
Always a very long wait in the drive-thru, and it's never prepared as I instruct them. The clam chowder is always watered down, and they always have extremely slow service. I eat here often because generally I like Yoshinoya but they need a better solution for the drive-thru and better accuracy in fulfilling the orders.
Inconsistent quality of service. Customers are at the mercy of the employees having a good or bad day. We were out of luck last Saturday. From the time getting into the drive through line till the food in our hand, it took ~40 mins. When we got home and opened the boxed food, the chicken was dry and no sauce, and were in two big chucks, not properly sliced, and with very little vegetable. The total amount of food in the box was about half of what we usually would get. This is not the first time. This happens on a periodic basis. I think the problem might be the employees working in the kitchen. The cashier was decent, or it would be 1 star. We generally like it when the food was done right. I can't figure out why the owner of the restaurant would allow his/her employees operate like that. It certainly tarnish the good name at such a premium location.
I just went to Yoshi and purchased my Combo XL with clam chowder. I was excited to enjoy my lunch, but to my surprise, when I tried the soup, I thought it had gone bad. Now I realize why it tastes so awful—did they change the recipe? Why does it taste so different?
Very rude girl in the drive thru! I've had terrible service before but not on this level. She yelled at me that she couldn't hear me, berated me personally after taking payment and refused to give me sauce with my meal. When I asked for 2 she attempted to charge me and then berated me for not asking "sooner". Totally the worst and exactly why I will never return. Flame Broiler is better anyway.
The food is good but the drive thru take forever they are very slow at serving your food we where only the 2nd car inline. The meat portions are getting much smaller and when I ask for a side of Teriyaki sauce they only put put a drop in a small plastic container. Will not be back the service suck! this is not the first time this happened
I don't write any reviews but this Yoshinoya at Norwalk served plastic rice today. After eating a bit of rice, I notice a couple of hard stuck rice together. It wasn't soft like the other rice. So I got a piece started burning it and it burned like how you would burn plastic. This is my usual place where I eat Yoshinoya. I can no longer come to this location after knowing I ate plastic rice for the first time. Service is always great but the rice is fake.
Do not go. Had a coupon for a free bowl. They said they would help redeem it. They lied so I am unsure why yoshinoya is giving away free bowls when their employees do not redeem or attempt to(actually avoid it and lie a lot). It's a fraud and false advertisement. Going to Waba grill every time now. Thanks for the low quality NPC experience with these horrible trained and rude employees. Kudos!
Been going here for a while but their taste has been going downhill since covid. They recently gave me spoiled Orginal beef. Tasted sour, extremely mushy. Their beef used to be a lot better but it's been looking very dry and nasty
This place never fails with the longest forever wait time ! There is no way you'll get your food less than 30 fckn minutes . Same queen with tattoos taking drive thru orders , oh man I won't even mention drive thru wait!!! Fckn snails!!!! Worst yoshinoya in CALIFORNIA !!!
The worst experience ever. I arrived at 449 i received the food at 536 the 2nd problem the rive was hard the 3rd problem was the chicken was pink and i the quantity of chicken was very little for a large plate the worst part was The GM was there and argued me that i was imagining everything he never apologized or accepted accountability.
Cashier did not have a friendly attitude. She was rushing me as I was ordering even though there was only one person behind me. She spent most of the time talking with her co worker rather than preparing my order. I ordered a drink and she did not even give it to me and when I open my combo bowl, there's only 3 pieces of teriyaki chicken. Very displeased with the service and food of this yoshinoya.
Great service.. but the quantity of the food they put in the so called big bowl is strips of meat over rice.. not worth it at all... at least weigh the meat before you serve it.. the chicken bowl.. let see.. 3 pieces of meat..sad! The beef..they spread it around the plate like its alot !🤪🤪🤪cant fool me!!! Never never never again at that location! Note to the owner DONT CHEAT YOUR CUSTOMERS TO MAKE A BUCK!
My experience was not good aft all. The girl who took our order couldn't get it right. Then they have me a had time about the by one and get the second one half off. We got so frusrated we went to Mcdonalds across the sreet.
Horrible customer service and wait time both drive thru and inside! I don't know who's managing this location but they're definitely not the right person for the job! The employees are RUDE and rush you....this is the last time I come here. Save your money....go to McDonald's or Taco Bell instead.
The worst! Never coming back. After waiting 20 minutes in the drive thru I was asked if I wanted condiments and I said hot sauce and teriyaki sauce and was told the teriyaki sauce was 65 cents. Thinking maybe there's already one in the bag I said ok. When I opened my bag, 2 hot sauces. What kind of teriyaki bowl doesn't come with teriyaki? The food was bland so I definitely won't be back there after all that.
If you are a terminally ill patient, this is not a good place to have your last meal. It took about 40 minutes to get my beef bowl a few months ago. Employees totally forgot my order until I asked them. They did not apologize. Today, I ordered 2 combos, and it took more than 20 minutes. They skipped my order again! And no one apologized for this.
I Like that yoshinoya is upgrading every time I come...from Boba, to electronic operators at the talk box...etc...but can you replace the cashier Maria for a robot too? I don't know if it's her... but my receipt said Maria and I was there yesterday on 08/12/24 at around 3 to 4pm. Whenever I asked a question, her face looked at me and answered me as if I was the dumbest person alive with her lip dangling..I would say, THANK YOU, and show respect and be kind...but she wouldn't budge...I could of gave her the same energy, but then again...she works HERE...so all I could do is wish her luck for her future (in my head)...I didn't care and drove away with my food. I treated her kindly the whole time...so, there's no reason for her to give me any sass...but she did anyways. Hope you do better Maria.. I'm here living my best life...smile a little. Hope you read this.
I ONLY PUT 1 STAR RATING TO POST MY EXPERIENCE. OTHERWISE ZERO STAR. I waited about 15 minutes before attendant took my order. No hello or hi! “What can I get you” response from the attendant. Another 15 minutes before I got my food. No customer service minded workers, rude and dirty. There were smoke fog covering most of the restaurant, smell funky and sticky floor. I will not come back to this place. Food taste bad. Horrible experience!
I'm here at the restaurant on 5/17 at 1140pm and employee is saying that restaurant drive thru is closed already check the cameras, these are the workers that think they are the ones signing the checks.
I ordered two large bowls no veggies but they still gave me both with veggies. Yall had one job..... this is why you always have to check your food at the spot.
What a disappointment. I got the teriyaki chicken bowl with vegetables only. There was one pice of carrot, 2 small pieces of Broccoli, I small piece of Califlower and cabbage. The chicken was tender, no Teriyaki flavor. There was 2 Large pieces of skin, several hard pieces of something? I could not eat 1/3 of it. I had this before and it was good. What happened?
Plan on waiting atleast 20 minutes regardless if you go in or drive through Why does it take sooooooo long??????? Also employees, PAY ATTENTION to what we order, EVERY TIME I go and order, you always say I want OPPOSITE of what I ordered and it's frustrating that you ignore my order Also, you still fail to get my orders right, even after I had to repeat myself Get it together and do your job!!! Pick up the pace, nobody wants to spend nearly half an hour waiting for food And then we end up getting opposite if what we ordered
This Yoshinoya has nothing but kids working there. At least at 5:15 M-F when I go to lunch. These teens are taking your order with one hand and on their phone with the other. I walked up to the door and had to jump back out of the way as two teen employees ran out past me, chasing each other and horseplaying. My food was cold. I wasn't even greeted when I approached the counter. The girl just stood there and waited for me to order. All she said was the total cost of my cold food.
I ordered a large beef bowl, and it came with a lot of rice but only a small amount of meat. Their portion size has significantly reduced.
I ordered beef and I got chicken on drive thru, she even repeat my order and I corrected but still I got chicken and she probably embarrassing to give me that order which she knows that wasn't right order and ask some other girl that has nerve to give me that order. Bye girls never go there again.
If was able to give this place a 0 I would the customer service is really bad at this place. The girls in the drive thru are really rude. I asked for 2 large chicken bowls and the food was super cold. This place sucks. There goes my dinner and a waste of my money.
I live 5 minutes away but I rather go to the one on South St & Woodruff because you will be waiting at least 15 to 20 minutes to get your order. No matter its walk in or drive thru. 1 person for front counter while 3 in the kitchen acting like working but without the productivity.
The beef was full of fat, the employee was coughing and hacking non stop.
I've been coming to this location ever since I could start remembering anything and I must say, I am very disappointed in how it has become. Before the portions were so big that the price was well worth it, but now very often I am forced to order my beef bowl without vegetables in order to get a decent amount of beef otherwise it will mostly be a bowl of rice. The service here has also seen its decline as I've seen many long lines at the drive through and had to sit through some of them for over 20 minutes. Today was busy and very noisy inside and the cashier got my order wrong. I ended up getting a bowl with vegetables and just as I predicted there was very little meat. Normally, you do have to wait a long time inside as well as there are usually new cashiers who have poor customer service skills. Update: A year later, they ran out of large bowls and tried to match proportions using multiple smaller bowls... they missed a few items and were completely out of others. I've had simalar experiences of wrong orders so many times but this a first. I don't think I'll be coming back to here. Shame as I remember coming here with my family and being so happy when my dad said we were having it for dinner. 20+ years later and it's over.
I picked up a large beef bowl for my husband ( I don’t eat this type of food.) Let me tell you…. The moment it got in my car it smelled gross. Customer service is just as trash as the food. Why rush me to order if there’s no one else there on the inside or in the drive thru. ( I ordered from drive thru.) I gave him his food when I got home. He opened it up and told me it had way too much rice, very little beef that was undercooked and soggy vegetables. Did I mention the beef was undercooked? Ewww gross! This location needs to be closed! Never coming back!
I purchased a kids meal with two egg rolls today 4/19/24. Was told I could not have a receipt because they ran out of paper. As prepared to enjoy my meal. The meat was bad. It had rancid smell and was the beef bowl I have enjoyed for years. I contacted the store and was told i could not return my food unless I come back right now. I was unable to do so. I ASKED for the general manger name and the name of the mamger I was speaking to and was only provide with 1st names. I was told the general manger name was Iris and the manger I spoke to name was Kayle. If there was a lower raiting I could give I would do so. Very unprofessional and dissatisfied.
It was the slowest fast food place I have ever been. waited almost 40 minutes to get served, believe it or not. We enjoy the food but we hate the wait. After this we do not feel like returning. Thanks for asking. May be you can fix it by getting the help to move faster or more help for them. About 10 cars behind me at the drive thru. some of them backed up and left. Sorry but it's the truth.
Waited almost 30 minutes for a doordash order. The manager had no communication with the customers, making it immensely frustrating having to wait for fast food. Employees moves extremely slow. The All Woman Staff did no justice for women anywhere. All moved slow and had little to no customer service skills.
They went from hero to zero. I asked for forks, sauces, chilli flakes, soy sauce hot sauce napkins. I did not get forks, I did not get napkins, I did not get straws, I did not get soy sauce, and they asked me to pull around the order and wait because their drive thru timer would get them in trouble order said double beef for combo and got chicken and beef
Billing system has fraud. Server did not know the refund system. Double charges and not willing to fix the problem. Be ware your credit card charges. The front people is pretty rude.
I don’t recommend going to this restaurant—I definitely won’t go back. The owner is way too stingy. The beef in the beef rice bowl was less than a spoonful. After eating the beef, I didn’t know what to pair with the remaining rice, so I just threw it all away. Raising prices is one thing, but why lower the quality so much? I really don’t understand what the owner was thinking. You’re better off eating at a regular restaurant—at least they give you decent portions for just a slightly higher price.
Having a bad day already. Legit 3 pieces of chicken in my bowl. 3 pieces man… one of em had black and brown skin still sticking to it. wrong sauce for side order. Side 3 piece chicken cold. And took longer than usual with empty drive through.
I went to Yoshinoya located at 12555 Alondra Blv in Norwalk CA 90650 and Ordered a Combo Beef Teriyaky Chicken, Steam Rice, and Vegetales, to go and when I got home I found out that my Order has more Rice than Beef, Chicken, and Vegetables, even on the other other of Beef, Vegetables and Rice also they put very little Beef on it, I have attached pictures of my large Combo so you can see how they serving the orders, I will never visit this Yoshinoya at this location and going make sure that the community knows what kind of service they provide there, and also will send a repor to the consumers affairs to let them know about this poor food services. I'm very upset for this.
