Very nice place with a cool sink on the outside of the bathroom The outlet closest to where I was sitting wasn't flush with the wall so I couldn't use it, but it wasn't a problem. Got a lot of work done!
While I’m here seating drinking my coffee, I keep noticing some customers being a pain to the employees. I live in San Francisco and we don’t have these type of people. Seriously. My dirty chai was perfect. Benches are comfy. People get a life and be nice to others

Usually friendly staff. They welcome you in and out bathroom always clean. Convenient spot and very consistent about the special drink
This is the kindest place ever. I found a 4 dollar bill on The ground and I got to buy a Oreo cake pop. Service is so kind here and the best is that there is free WiFi if you are a kid with money please go here best place ever
Though I'm visiting family in Peacock Gap, San Rafael, I drove several miles to find a drive thru Starbucks. This was the closest place I could find. I'm elderly and disabled and apparently San Rafael is not friendly toward people like me who need a little more assistance. I was born and raised here and I'm ashamed of what San Rafael has become. This Starbucks was friendly and accommodating. It was well worth the drive to patronize this establishment. I will return here daily during my visit for my morning cup of coffee and instead of shopping and eating in San Rafael, I will drive to Novato for all my needs and wants every time I visit the area from now on.

This Starbucks' focus is on their drive-thru business. It's the only drive-thru in Novato, so if you hate the thought of getting out of your car for a cup of coffee, this is a good choice. It's not in a location where I would expect many people to stroll by while shopping on foot: the store sits in its own detached building on the outskirts of a sorta rundown, kinda sketchy strip mall. Coffee drinkers who step inside, most likely drove here. (Also, if you're looking at Google Maps, don't get this one confused with the Starbucks counter inside Safeway at the other end of the shopping center.) Like most Starbucks, the staff is friendly and attentive, and like most Starbucks, the beverages are serviceable. My oat milk cappuccino tasted a bit off, though. Almost like the milk was scalded or something. The cafe vibe is perfectly average for Starbucks. Clean, with no memorable style save for one fabulous exception: the unsettling liminal space leading to the restrooms and the restrooms themselves. I mean sure, you could hang a couple pictures on the walls, but maybe the lack of character IS the style. If the whole place leaned into this stark minimalism, it would be pretty edgy…especially for a Starbucks! I would love it.

Ive had several bad experiences when going i side this location for service so I haven't been inside in quite awhile but the drive thru service and staff NEVER DISAPPOINT! They have made up for any previous unsatisfactory experiences I've encountered. One reason I have remained a loyal Starbucks (gold)Rewards Member for over 15 years is because of the great customer service you receive at every location.
Employee greeted me and said they would be with me shortly. Then they were. I ordered and had my drink quickly from inside the building despite the long drive through line. Appreciate the speed. My drink was delicious. Will come back to this one for sure out of the 3 that I have options to go to in Novato.

I am moving. I ordered two venti iced green tea lemonade drinks for my friend and I. They tasted horrible like a little bit of sour lemon juice thrown into water. I went back today, September 15, to talk to the manager who was crisp and efficient but not kind or sympathetic, or really even helpful. I asked for a store credit. I am a regular Starbucks customer. She said all she could do is replace the drinks and by the way, you should’ve brought them back within two days. Well I am moving. Anyway, I got the replacement drinks out of principle, and they taste really horrible also. I don’t think I’ll be back to this Starbucks and I don’t recommend ordering that drink from that Starbucks. The latte I did order tasted good, but they neglected to put the heat protector on the cup. I didn’t notice it right away, so I almost burned myself. The workers are not taking good care of their elderly clients. Not happy with this Starbucks.
I buy a latte then the lady give 5$ bill of change, then I seat for a minute then realized I need some dollar bills change then I ask for it but the girl she can’t. So I said ok keep one dollar then please give me $4 then she agree, unbelievable. I Love astur bucks but sometimes there is no concidaration.

While I like Starbucks coffee and the option of a drive through, there is something natural about sitting in a coffee shop and having conversation with people. At this location however, the music is played so loud in the store that you cannot have a conversation or concentrate on something you are doing unless you have headphones on. On multiple occasions I have asked for the music to be turned down at 7am only to be stared at in a confused way as if it did not compute. I don't like Pete's coffee as much as Starbucks but that is where I will be meeting people to have coffee and do business if I want a break from the office because it is more inviting and they play their music at a decent level where you can still concentrate and have conversation. The employees in general are nice enough, but it is lacking in management and awareness

I am here everyday. Sometimes twice a day. Last night I ordered my items, the guy read them back. The order was wrong and when I stated that he says “ well I didn’t hear that”. He was so rude, aggressive, and condescending in our new few exchanges. I asked for a refund and he didn’t refund me the proper amount. He states that I am wrong. The manager comes over and I showed him my bank app, he stated I would have to pay again in order to be refunded the proper amount, though he said I was paying to little for what I ordered and wanted to charge me the new higher “correct amount”. He then took money from his employees tip charge to give me my money back. I refused as that is so egregious. He was more concerned about his profit margins and his till being even more so than his employees tips and doing the RIGHT things by the customers. I also shared I didn’t like how rude the first man was and he said he heard everything and he didn’t hear anything I was saying. No apology was given, no refund was given, no items accepted. How disappointing.
Worst Starbucks I have ever been to by far.The Coffee tasted like it had more hot water
The employees at this location seem unhappy and unmotivated, often displaying an unwelcoming attitude toward customers. Despite paying for an expensive café experience and even leaving a tip, customers are met with indifference or rudeness. The music is played excessively loud, and the air conditioning is set uncomfortably high—seemingly on purpose. One particular employee, a Hispanic man in his 40s, is especially disruptive. He loudly throws chairs while cleaning, creating unnecessary noise and disturbance for everyone in the café. Additionally, the store frequently closes in the afternoons, leaving only the drive-through open. This has been an ongoing issue, causing inconvenience for customers who expect full service during regular hours. It’s disappointing to see such poor management and customer service at this location.
This starbucks has no soap in the bathrooms and no hand sanitizer. One of the dispensers was broken and none of the employees knew that the other soap was empty or how to replace it. This means no one had been washing their hands properly unless they used the sink behind the counter, but even then they said they had no soap to use. How a company in the food service industry can lack basic hygiene products is beyond me. I’ve also seen a customer playing with an open wound on their hand and laying wet bandaids on the table—and even then the table wasn’t properly wiped down. When it was addressed it was with a singular rag they used on everything else including the other tables.
Do not go here if you can’t have milk. They blatantly disregard drinks with any milk alternative and then laugh about it. I watched the baristas use normal milk with whipped cream. And when they noticed it wasn’t supposed to be milk he says ‘just wipe it off and add milk. They won’t notice’ and they proceed to laugh and serve the drink. The amount of unprofessionalism is incredible. Go at your own risk.
The drink was fine but was spilled all over my car because the lid wasn’t fully secured on the cup, so when I grabbed it out of the cup holder it exploded all over me and my car. The worker was laughing and talking to her coworker barely focusing on her actual work.
Worst Starbucks I ever visited. the staff need to learn how to deal with customers and be polite, I ordered a tea that waited 20 minutes and when i asked where my tea was, the staff just didn't pay attention, it was 12/23/21 at 1:28 pm. beware of going to this place if you don't want to ruin your mood
I deactivated my Starbucks account after visiting this Starbucks today. I walked in to get some water and was denied. I was told I needed to purchase something to get water. I know this has nothing to do with the employees here- they’re just doing what corporate tells them. I visit Starbucks often and visit this one while charging my car outside. This is one of multiple bad experience’s with customer service I’ve had with Starbucks over the last year. I can imagine it has to do with people not visiting as much and them having to cut corners (not giving out water 🤯, cutting hours, cutting quality). Such a bummer.
